As the name implies, this is Filipino fast food which isn't too common around Houston (not that I know of, at least). Kind of sad coming to eat here because this is hidden away in the food court at the Viet Hoa shopping center and they are the only restaurant left. Jolynn's crawfish used to be in the same food court but they left and moved down the street.I'm not even going to bother to try and spell out all of the dishes that are served here since I would fail miserably but I will say that the food is good and very affordable. Nothing is ever going to compare to the food I had when I was in the Philippines but this will suit me just fine until I make another trip back there. My only complaint is that I can't get bangus here...

First, this is a fast food place. And the food is ready, you just have to point. It's warm and flavorful.Second, the price is fast food price, under $10. You get cup of rice and two entree for $6.99. That's a great deal!Third, the cashier is friendly and helpful. She smiles at the customers, and is very knowledgable of the dishes.

Everything wonderful about home, family and goodness shines through the moment one walks in the door. The flavors and aromas are profoundly fresh and bright. A couple of the buffet items did not appeal to me but the majority did. That's why I rate this little eatery so highly. When they upgrade the serving ware from disposable to something more substantial, 5 stars may be in order. Flimsy napkins and Filipino food are a mismatch. This is "dig in and eat" kind of grub!

I was craving home cooked filipino food so I ate here today upon a friend's recommendation. It's a simple cafeteria set up. There are about 8-10 different meat, fish and vegetable dishes. You pick 2 with a cup of rice at a very reasonable price. I picked kare-kare and jackfruit in coconut milk. Both were really tasty and delicious. My cravings were satisfied. I even took home some tofu and pork to take home. Definitely will come back to try other yummy dishes. Rowena the chef was also nice.

The ladies at Pinoy Fast Food used to work in the New Filipiniana restaurant and have brought with them the awesome Kaldereta (beef stew) recipe to this new place. Pinoy Fast Food is at the end of the Viet Hoa Shopping Center at Beechnut and Beltway 8. It is in what is called the International Food Court. There also used to be a chinese dessert place, a crawfish place and a gelato / coffee place in the food court but all these businesses have since closed. Pinoy Fast Food is the only one left. They serve breakfast starting at 8 am - and they have the meat, fried rice, fried egg dishes available around this time. They also have the Daing na Bangus (milkfish cured in vinegar, garlic, salt and pepper and then fried) breakfast and it is awesome.Rather than a buffet, they serve combo meals For $3.99 you get a choice of 2 viands and rice plus dessert (either banana in sweet syrup or guinataang halo halo - mixed fruits in coconut milk). Because im not a big buffet fan, the combo meal works for me. One can also purchase the food to go - they have small/medium and large portions. They also sell some baked goods or native rice cakes, mostly consigned to them by those who make the stuff. My favorites in PFF would be the kaldereta, the menudo and the laing (lotus leaf cooked in coconut milk). They also have an awesome Lechon Kawali (deep fried pork belly) and Filipino Pork BBQ, which is similar to a Sate - seasoned grilled pork in skewers. The service is friendly and very Pinoy. They can get busy around lunch, especially during weekends. They also accept party tray orders. They close at 7 pm.

Visited & tasted their food today ( beef steak, pancit, chicken menudo, binagoongan with white rice). The food tasted very mediocre, the price amounted to $25 (with a cup of banana dessert & 2 soda cans added). About 30 minutes after, we developed severe abdominal discomfort. What are the odds of that? I will stay away if I were you!

The saddest part about moving out of Houston is the fact that I'm going to miss having my favorite Filipino dishes here. They have the best Filipino food! Don't let the fast food set up mislead you... the place is not fancy but the food is yummy . Service is always great and it's always nice to see the smiles from everyone whenever my husband and I come here.

I was charged $15.00 for a 16-oz cup of noodles (Pancit), and $8.00 for an 8-oz cup of soup (Pinakbet), for a total of $24.00 for my meal! Outrageous!! The Pancit was horrible, with almost no meat in it. The Pinakbet was good, but also very little meat, and way over-priced! This place is a ripoff! Avoid this Houston, TX restaurant.
