Food is average and is relatively fresh. Don't go there if your expecting the staff to have a personality or be engaging at all . The dinning room is spacious with several tables. Overall good place to grab a quick lunch and go. Nothing to write home about or anything.

Real talk - when I first moved to the area years ago I ordered takeout from this place and thought the name was funny. The food is nothing to joke about! It's, in my opinion, the BEST Chinese food in the area. The food is always fresh, the portions are big, and the flavor is always on point.The chicken and broccoli is my favorite and it just tastes unlike any other. Highly recommend!!

I tend to forget about Ping Pong since I'm not out and about in that area around lunch time. Lately we've been striking out with even our normal go to for Chinese so we thought we'd try this for dinner. I called in a take out order for pork egg foo young and fried dumplings.My spouse went to pick it up and upon arrival she said it was almost completely dark inside and she wasn't sure if they were even open. It was so dark that she could barely see to make her way around or see the menu that was posted up behind the counter. Kinda strange. Anyway, the order of pork egg foo young is three patties with rice and gravy for the patties. We've been searching all over the Triangle for good egg foo young (Charlie's Chinese in Chapel Hill, long gone years ago, is our measuring stick) and decided last night that Ping Pong is the best thus far! Still does not compare to Charlie's, but still Yay!I wasn't as crazy about the fried dumplings. They're wrapped like a steamed bun so as soon as you take a bite the whole wrapper starts falling off. Plus they looked kind of greasy. I know, fried, but still. Flavor wise they were ok, but I've had better. I think next time I'll try the crab rangoon instead.So, next time we have a craving for egg foo young, this will be our go to!

I was starting to wonder if my expectations for good Chinese food was too high and it was a thing of the past until I ate here and had my faith restored that yes, Virginia, there is good Chinese food in the NC. One of the best things about this restaurant for me is that they give you the choice between heat levels of mild, spicy and very spicy of which very spicy meets my need for heat which I've found lacking at other places. I've had the hunan chicken, Sichuan chicken, ping pong chicken, lo mein and vegetable delight. The hunan was probably my favorite because I do like battered food like most good southerners but the sauce is definitely my favorite of the three chicken dishes. The namesake dish, Ping Pong chicken was my second favorite, with lots of fresh veggies and chicken breast that was velveted and tender. The Sichuan chicken was also good but the sauce wasn't as flavorful which surprised me because it's usually one of my favorites. It also came with lots of vegetables. Lastly, the vegetarian delight and lo mein were very good accompaniments but depending on what you order you might get plenty of veggies in your dish though. I've driven by this place numerous times and always delighted in the name but hadn't tried it until recently when I had to widen my search for decent Chinese food and I'm very pleased that I did!

Ordered mushu chicken without onion or garlic. It was delivered with green onion. When we called to ask for a replacement, the person argued at length that it was scallion not onion and that we should have asked for "no scallion". She then put down the phone for several minutes while taking other orders. When she came back on the line, she again insisted we ordered wrongly and said it would be at least 45 minutes before she could get to it.Update: Replacement delivery arrived much sooner than expected and was made without onions or scallions. Also, the driver was very friendly. Upgrading rating from one to three stars.

Best fried wings in Durham in my opinion. Their food is not seasoned well, if at all. The wings are though. The service is so business like... not friendly at all. The restaurant appears clean but not very lit. Too dark for me.

The ambiance is lost here! I have spent a lot of money here in the past before the pandemic. Since coming back from the pandemic, this place has shown no interest in its customers or what food is represented. They had a soda fountain for dine-in customers, and never put it back to use after the pandemic. They treat people of certain cultures better than other customers of another culture. However, the money is welcome from anyone! The attitude of the younger person handling the front register is very poor and offensive at times. They raised their prices at least twice since the pandemic, but removed the wooden chopsticks out of customers reach as it was before. Their lunch crowd is their biggest priority no matter who comes in before or after that crowd. The now plain yellow rice doesn't even taste like fried rice anymore. The Egg Rolls are horrid, the cabbage is old and stale like, greasy as ever and flavor on many different dishes are lost. Even the crinkle cut fries are being served burnt! I no longer recommend this place or its food, I am in search of better. Eating out is not near what it used to be...

Person who answers the phone to take orders is extremely RUDE! In the past I brushed it off and still ordered. I Will never order from them again. Attempted to place an order today for the same thing I always get, requested that they cook the wings extra crispy as I always do. Today she said "No! We don't do extra crispy!" Told her never mind and hung up. Didn't feel right giving my money to someone who is as rude as she is.
