Pine State is a solid choice for what is, a generally top 40 music kind of bar with the occasional afrobeat/reggae song mixed in. They cater ti their crowd, if you want better music, get there early. Then tend to steer more towards pop as the night goes on (most unfortunate). Bartenders are cool, bouncers are friendly - never had an issue. The bar overall can be kind of bro-ey with a frat-ish vibe, but both you and I know this is not the place to get craft cocktails. Just adjust your expectations and have a good time. One major benefit about this place is that there's rarely a line and they have both a patio and fire pit area. Both are great options if you're more covid cautious and still want to get a drink and unwind. Shots anyone?

I enjoyed Pine State Public House. The one bartender who assisted us was very friendly and fast with the drinks. A live guitarist Garland Mason played, and the music was completely satisfying. There was a large selection of songs played that I knew and enjoyed. We sat on the patio and had drinks. Nice experience and a great view to people watch.

Despite current reviews I actually had a good time at this bar. There have an outdoor seating area with fire pits which was nice! Our fire pit was out of gas and the promptly changed it out and got it up and running for us. The drinks were good and staff were always wandering around to clean up empty glasses and check on the groups. As the night when on it got a little busier but not overwhelming. Definitely an up and coming spot!

Pretty grungy bar on Glenwood. For a bar that's 90% outside, they have a very restrictive dress code that only applies to guys. No cutoffs and no cuffed shorts. Saw them allow girls in rough cutoffs and guys in cutoffs but they had different standards for a group of gay guys. Was it the dress code or homophobia? Unclear.

Terrible bouncers said a real id was fake and wouldn't even trust a cop confirming it was real. Trying to be macho men with their egos and can't admit they were wrong.

I was allowed in since the folks up front missed the atrocious shoes I was wearing with my otherwise nice outfit, which was kind of funnyNowhere on *Glenwood South*, of all places, should have a dress code. This isn't the Louvre. Get it together

This place has a ridiculously strict dress code for just an outdoor bar that isn't even that fancy or classy. To make matters worse, their dress code is sexist and only applies to males. My friend got turned away this past weekend because he was wearing cutoff shorts, and they weren't even that short. I see other reviews saying guys can't even have a single tear in their jeans, and their shorts must have belt loops? Meanwhile girls can wear whatever they want? It amazes me that a place would turn away so much business, and be so blatantly sexist and homophobic. The owners should be ashamed of themselves. I definitely will not be going here ever again, and I would be surprised if it's in business for much longer.
