Pietra's Pizzeria & Italian Restaurant

Two men went there recently on a business luncheon and the hostess/server immediately confronted them for using too much parmesan cheese and sugar packets purposely left on their table for customers to use. The rude server even went so far as to grab and remove the parmesan/sugar-loaded containers onto a tray while the men were eating their lasagna and before consuming their table's free condiments. The wait staff must be either overworked or they don't like their jobs! Maybe it's because the restaurant installed a divider, which has caused everyone, including guests and workers, to be scrunched and sweating together in one crowded room.These old businessmen have been going to this Italian restaurant for many years as regular patrons, and after spending thousands of dollars supporting this local diner, they vowed never to return over a few complimentary sugar packets, red peppers, or cheese sprinkles. If the Italians are worried about it, then why not hand grind their condiments like Olive Garden, who doesn't care whether their sugar packets are missing or not when they bus their tables?

Pietra's Pizzeria & Italian Restaurant has been a staple in Wheat Ridge since 1964, and it's easy to see why. As a family-owned establishment, they pour love into every dish they serve. Their amazing pizza consistently delights. We have always received excellent service even though sometimes the wait for food is a little long at times. All is forgiven when the pizza arrives, though. It's hands down one of our favorite pizza places, offering a taste of tradition and quality that keeps us coming back for more.

Old and divey but that's what I expected. The service was the deal-breaker. We were abandoned by our waiter; despite making eye contact several times she did not return. We ultimately left without eating

Great old school Italian food and pizza. The steady stream of people filling in for boxes of takeout pizza orders is always a sure sign of something good, and I agree. Outstanding pizza, we ordered a pepperoni. Love their crust! The Lasagna was also delicious. Classic vibe inside and attentive, friendly service. A Wheat Ridge institution for decades for good reason. Pietra's is a sure bet.

I celebrated my birthday amazing, friendly Caring staff9 am til 3 pm single slice pizza Stuffed shells and appetizers were delicious. I love their meatball sandwiches. Great portions

My neighbor friends invited me to go here for dinner. We dined here a few months ago and enjoyed it. We decided to order an xl "super" pizza which included sausage, pepperoni and onions. Although we had to wait a while, it was worth it. The pizza arrived steaming hot and was delicious. Two slices were plenty for all of us and we each took home 2 slices each. My friends had a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon and I selected the Pinot Noir. They were all mediocre. All and all, I was impressed. The service and the food were excellent!! The ambiance is somewhat rustic and the noise level was average.

Pietra's is a beloved institution. I've been getting pizza here for decades, and the homey ambience and delicious pizza have never waned.

WOW!!!!! This is one of the best pizzas we have had in a long time. They never seem to disappoint. Great service.

We were driving by on I70 and wanted something local. The parking lot was busy on a Sunday afternoon, which is what convinced us to go in. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and we picked our seats. We ordered an Italian Salad and 16" Sausage & Green Pepper Thin Crust. It was delicious and worth the stop! Lots of seating and even room for large groups . Large menu with lots of options in addition to pizza. Affordable kids menu. We need more restaurants like this, giving 5 stars because we enjoyed our meal and the prices are reasonable. Definitely would come back to try their pasta.

Pietra's hosted my Birthday Party. We all had a blast. Their back room was newly painted and refurbished. Their pizza selection perfect. The salad fantastic. My daughters arranged the party through them and I can't thank them enough for all the delicious food and drinks.I highly recommend Pietra's . Our family has been going there years and we have never been disappointed with the food or the service. Thank you so much Pietra's.
