I loved this place and so glad I was able to try it. Had a casual date night in Downtown Durham and we started at @piepushers Their dry rub wings were so delicious, we talked about coming back before we even left! We paired it with a half pie (I love that option!) of STATE OF NIRVANA: BASIL PESTO, ROASTED CHICKEN, SPINACH, CARAMELIZED RED ONIONS, BLEU CHEESE, MOZZARELLA + an extra slice of cheese pizza, just because: it was the perfect portion for 2. Pie Pushers has all your original pizza toppings but a variety of specialty pizzas that I have to try sooner than later. They also offer daily specials, salads, appetizers, beer and wine.

Heard about Pie Pushers via IG. Be ready to climb up a flight of stairs from the street though. If, and when you do climb up the stairs, you will absolutely not be disappointed!!!!! ABSOLUTELY THE BEST PIE (Pizza) I've had in Durham !!!! Ordered a 1/2 Specialty (Dazz) and a whole Pepperoni + Mushroom + Black Olives. Both were so very Delicious, Tasty, and Scuptious! The Counter/Waitress was so very friendly and accommodating (which isn't a surprise in Durham), but she was so very "In Step" with my order + other things going on ! I'm definitely visiting Pie Pushers in the immediate future!!!!!

I've had pie pushers twice at the restaurant and once at the food truck. I like the variety on their menu and creative pizzas. Many people seem to like this place and the staff is nice, but I give 3 stars very reluctantly.First of all, the Durham pizza game is strong. For a quick lunch slice or a food truck bite, they're fine. But a night out, treating yourself, the taste is just not there. I would never choose this place. Way better options. The current pickup system is a disaster. Went on a Friday at my designated time and there was just a mob out there, mixed with people waiting to order and waiting to pickup. These people should be separated. After about 10 minutes I was greeted and unfortunately when we got to sit down to eat our food (had to drive elsewhere since they're closed inside) pizza was cold and not good enough to overcome the temperature. Brussels sprouts were also just soaked in what tasted like a pure salt & oil mixture. Nor were they crisp as I would expect fried Brussels to be, just mushy. We also were not provided silverware and had salads. My friends eggplant fries were decent. Finally, they should add vegan cheese as an option. Very surprising to not have that in Durham. They're missing out on a big demographic.May try a slice at a food truck in the future if it's hot, but not otherwise.

Food Truck Tuesday: Pie PushersI was able to grab a slice of pie, a garlic knot and a side salad (dressing - bleu cheese) for a lunch under $10! For my slice of pizza I went with the Barb's Margherita, I enjoyed the fresh tomato and pesto. I have had better Margherita pizza which is what I was comparing it to and the main reason behind the 3 star review. As far as the dressing went, it was a bit runny which I did not like. Overall, a good food truck to enjoy lunch at a reasonable price.

Remarkable pie, za, flop, whatever your take on what a pie should be, this place is the UN of pizza - all people's tastes are represented and the rights of pizza lovers abroad is protected. From your basic pepperoni, to a Pace Car or similar, you can find a pie to suit any skeptics in your party. And, if they don't like pizza, dump 'em, leave 'em at home, or show them their awesome app menu which includes salads and such. Not to mention, being at a key intersection in DT Durham, you can rely on this place to be there for you when drunk on a Saturday night, hungry on a Wednesday at lunch, or hungover on a Thursday. Totally for kids too, but you know, the parents/adults are the ones buying, so, I try to speak to their interests.

This is a good weekday lunch spot, where I can get a slice and a salad. I love that you can get pizza by the slice here (there are not many pizza places if any in the heart of downtown Durham that do slices)! You order at the counter, they give you a number, and bring your food to your table. The seating area is small, so it can be hard to get a table at busy times, especially if you are trying to visit with a group. It's a good spot to put in a to go order. I often do this if I want to grab something to bring back to my office.

Ordered 2 sausage garlic knots and Local Firsthand (sausage) and Cluckin Peppas. Knots were much smaller than expected and contained little to no sausage. Served with cold pizza sauce. (Blah). They really had potential because the sausage was good but the execution was just very off. Really enjoyed the pesto base on the Cluckin Peppas. Was a little concerned about the olives but they added a nice salty touch.

There's nothing like a great slice of za and that's exactly what Pie Pushers dishes out. Tabbed as Durham-style pizza, Pie Pushers cooks up a very thin crust pie with a snappy crust. The crust is thin but dense which allows it to handle any gourmet toppings they put on. And Pie Pushers is pretty generous with their toppings so don't feel bad about the $3 - $5 per slice, price. Their plain cheese slice is great too, a good sign for any pizza purveyor. I've eaten with Pie Pushers several times and its always been good food and good service. Hard to believe they can put a pizza oven into that trailer of theirs but yeah, check out the picture. Thanks for taking care of my pizza fix , Pie Pushers!

I loved every other Friday at Centennial Campus on NCSU! That was Pie Pusher's day to come by. Pizza is RIDICULOUSLY good, right? Pizza from a food truck seemed like a questionable idea before I tried it, but my wife recommended them after they came out to her job. From the sauce to the dough of the slices to the variety, everything about Pie Pushers is such a win! And the prices? Good Lord! Very affordable, perfect for budget-conscious lunchtimers! And the size of the slices is just right! Two slices is all you need!If you haven't yet tried them, you NEED to do so! And if you are already a fan, well, Imma joining that fanbase, too!

I wouldn't go so far as to say that Pie Pusher is my favorite pizza place in the Triangle or my favorite food truck, but they are pretty darn good. For $3-4 their slices are very large and will fill you up (which is a pretty good value for a food truck). I've had several different flavor combinations and all have been tasty, although my favorite is probably the brunch pizza with bacon, sausage, cheese and potatoes. The knots are pretty good too if you want a side (and at my last visit they had buffalo chicken knots which were amazing). I wouldn't go out of my way to have Pie Pushers, but I will certainly grab a slice whenever they are at my local brewery as they are fresh, affordable and quick.
