Picanha Brazilian Steakhouse

Wow is all I can say. I normally wouldn't drive all the way to Northeast Philadelphia for a meal unless it's recommended by a fellow yelper But in this case, an acquaintance of mine, who is from Brazil suggested I go with them.So she and my daughter picked me up and drove me up and I was blown away by the experience.This isn't like that high end Brazilian steakhouse chain that we all love but rather it's a locally owned restaurant. where you go up to a buffet and you select your vegetables, and then you go to the counter and select your meats And then they weigh your plate. So everyone in your party gets their plates weighed and your party is assigned a number on a placard which you take back to your table. Once you want more food, you repeat the process and hand them your number. What your entire party has eaten is electronically recorded and when you ask for your check it's totaled up. My friend has eaten there many times and has never seen a discrepancy in the check nor did I.It's a great system.The food is exceptional. I loved trying some new Brazilian side items that I have never had. And on this visit, I was lucky to try a soda made from a fruit from the Brazilian rainforest.This was a new food adventure for me and one that I'm going to try again and again.

So we were so excited to go to this place because if you've never been to a Brazilian steakhouse, it's a must! I recommend but not this one!We got seated in one of their high top tables close to the bar. The concept of a Brazilian steakhouse is you have a card on your table that you can flip green which means keep bringing the meats or red which means to stop bringing the meats. They have meat servers in dressed up in a cute little outfits that come up to your table with all different types of meats: pork, chicken and steaks. (Can't forget about the grilled pineapple, it was to die for).On top of having a variety of meats, they also have what they call a salad bar. People can head up there and serve themselves like a buffet they had many different sides. They had hot and cold food that compliment anyone who is not partaking in just eating meat. So everything went really well. Our tummy's were stuffed and our waiter came up to us and asked if we needed anything else. I ordered a coffee. We were looking around happy with our decision to eat there. And as soon as I looked up at the bar, I saw what was a 2 inch cockroach crawl from underneath the glasses onto the bar. I told our waiter and he told the guy behind the bar to kill it. At that point and time, I had to rush to the bathroom and dry heave! My fiancé knew I was disgusted and canceled my coffee and ordered the check. I would never go back there again!

Service was great!Food taste good specially the pork sausage! Their mango and pineapple juice are both awesome! For their appetizers would have been complete if there's like soup selections. Overall we would definitely comeback and have our stomachs full

Service and food was so good. Their buffet entries have a variety of tasty options. loved it. The meats were tender and very fresh. The place is always impeccable. The ambience is calm but a lot of movement.

Everything was fresh, tasty and delicious. We got the all-you-can-eat menu. Meats just kept coming. Very polite and professional staff. Nice ambiance. I like the barn vibe. Rustic look. Clean bathrooms. Will definitely come back.

Great price for tasty meats with a relaxed setting.Any attire, any occasion kind of restaurant. We went for dinner with 6 and were seated and able to eat instantly. AYCE is 41 but for 11$ per pound you can just take what you like which we recommend as you can go up again on the same bill and we at 40$ worth between two people. The meats were very nice just try and go after someone else does or ask for two slices from the same side to get the rare insides instead of the outer well done pieces. Side dishes were okay since the attraction is the meat but could be improved. I plan to hit this place next visit before going out for drinks as that is the only other thing they are missing.

If you are a meat head, you'll like this place. They offer buffet or weigh in food. Service is really good and friendly. The food is good, but a little pricey. Place is cozy and friendly atmosphere.

Food is petty good but service is bad They don't give you water. We ask for water it take them half hour. We asked three waiters all of them said they call one of them said they out of glasses one of them said don't speak English

So in love with the new design! And remodeling.Unfortunately the meat wasn't as good as used to be .New salad bar; is awesome!The hot pans area are delightful with 4 variety of soups .

Went for my son's birthday. Service was amazing. Staff made an effort to make the experience special with ice cream and a candle. Everyone enjoyed the variety of food, particularly the lamb. Great for guys with big appetites.
