** November 2021 Visit **After a severely disappointing breakfast burrito I decided to give this meat shop/convenience store a shot since it was close by. It's a very humble store, but the butcher had a good selection of meats to choose from. It seemed that Spanish was the primary language and the butcher spoke very limited English, so we asked the cashier if she could help us with our order. My friend and I decided on a carne asada burrito with rice, onions, cilantro, and salsa. It was fresh, the tortilla had a nice char and was very filling. If you want authentic Mexican food this is a good spot!

Ordered a large to-go order of carne asada, chicken asada and beans and rice with tortillas. They didn't charge extra for cooking the meat and gave us a good amount of salsas and garnishes. The food here is quality and authentic. We are pretty picky when it comes to Mexican food and this is definitely one of our favorites. The pollo asada is absolutely the best we've found in town.

Someone told us about the avocados they sell here, so yesterday we went to see if they were as large and tasty as we'd been told. We were pleasantly surprised once inside the market. Tidy, organized, and really friendly service. We were delighted with the meat counter. Well stocked and a huge variety of meats. They also have a small counter where they sell prepared foods. My husband brought home a prepared chili dish. He said it was good. We ended up purchasing a variety of fresh chili peppers, avocados and tomatoes. The avocados were huge and from California! We bought plenty of them and will be going back for more. On our next visit we plan to try some of their meats and, of course, more of their child's and avocados!

I stopped into this carniceria on a daily basis when I stayed nearby. At first I came in to stock up on some iced tea but then had to have some calabaza empanadas. I'm giving this place 5 stars because of the meat. I buy a large quantity of meat to make tamales and this carniceria had quality at a good price. They also have a good selection of cheese. The ready made food looked delicious but the only thing I had were the beans and they had excellent flavor.
