Such an interesting place! When I pulled into the parking area there are trees overhead making you feel all cozy and safe from the arizona heat lol. There are owl decorations all over this place but in a homey/quaint way not hoarding like or anything. There's little Knic knack shelves with things on all the walls, pictures, different hanging chandeliers, coffee mugs, stuffed animals, clothes etc. Everything is for sale, just ask. Kinda cool - I bought one of their glass pitchers lmao. They do not have fancy coffee - I was sad at first. Just coffee pot simple coffee. (There are 2 cafe coffee shops in their shopping complex if you need that)Service was awesome, they have a whole vegan menu but use a lot of vegan things - like buns for all burgers are vegan so I didn't have to worry about cross contamination. I have a dairy allergy so I stick with vegan dishes a lot. Food was really good I got a burger with mushrooms - hubs got biscuits and gravy. The owner was out and about helping customers and cleaning up. It's really big inside goes far back - so many tables but you feel like you have your own space. Lighting was natural and low so it was relaxing. Would love to come back. Not gourmet. But homestyle cooking.Oh and the vegan cheese is daiya :)

Owls everywhere! The interior is filled with owls and it looks so beautiful. They even have the bathrooms decorated with owls it's awesome. We came here for breakfast and I ordered the tamales. You can either get it vegetarian or beef and I decided to give each a try. It comes with eggs, green chili sauce, black beans, cheddar cheese and mixed greens. They were both good but the vegetarian had a better taste to it. A bit spicy but not overwhelming. Our server was quick with our orders and came back to us to check on us as well. Try this place out !

Visited The Toasted Owl Cafe on a Saturday early afternoon. Nestled in The Newton Plaza, we were able to find parking with a bit of a wait. We have always known the space as a flower/gift shop, so it was nice to see that it transformed nicely. The vibes were very laid back and maybe it's a bit psychological (and the music helped), but it felt like we were in a mountain town....not Phoenix. Service was friendly and attentive. Boasting an extensive menu of breakfast and lunch items, there is something for everyone here! They also have a separate vegan menu with a lot of the classics made plant based. I opted for the veg breakfast tamales with the spicy green chili on the side. I like to order things that are more challenging to make at home, but I don't think I'd order this dish again. The tamales were good, don't get me wrong, but it seemed a little meh? The menu does say melted cheese, but it was too much/unrefined. The beans were plain and boring. The bed of greens were an odd addition as it ended up being soggy and gross anyways. My partner ordered off the vegan menu and had the nachos. Let me preface with that we've had a lot of really good vegan cheese sauces. This one was too thick and chunky, taking away, rather than adding value to the dish. The chips were great and she enjoyed the vegan chicken (I believe it was Abbott), but for $17+, it also felt a little underwhelming. Maybe we picked the wrong items that day! There are certainly some winning qualities to the establishment so I'd certainly give The Toasted Owl another chance, but this visit fell a bit short.

Nestled in the heart of Central Phoenix, The Toasted Owl promises a breakfast experience that's as quirky as it is delicious. As you enter, you're greeted by an eclectic ambiance that's part breakfast , part eccentric aunt's living room - complete with mismatched furniture and owl-themed decor that's a hoot! Now, let's talk about the food. The menu at The Toasted Owl is a whimsical journey through breakfast classics with a twist. Ever dreamed of starting your day with a breakfast burrito that's bigger than your head? Look no further. Their "Burly Burrito" is a behemoth of eggs, bacon, sausage, cheese, and enough salsa to make your taste buds salsa dance. So, if you're looking for a breakfast spot that's equal parts delicious and delightfully eccentric, spread your wings and fly on over to The Toasted Owl. Just be sure to bring your appetite and your sense of humor - you'll need both!

Another place that's been getting great buzz among my local people. This one is quite far away from me now. However, most have said they would go there again even if it is a long distance drive.

This place was so cute with all the owl decor, and I love how it's right next the changing hands bookstore. The staff was very friendly and I noticed they would consistently check in with us and other tables even though they were busy. The portions of the food we ordered were pretty good! I will say that the vegan blt could've used some more vegan bacon and I would've liked more vegan chorizo in the breakfast bowl as well. Regardless the food was great, and this is a great brunch spot.

Super cute quaint place. Decorated in a variety of owls and also sells merch. ( I feel the merch is overpriced)Even the restroom is decorated. It's pretty pricey here. The food was good but not over the top for the prices they are charging.Staff were very friendly and the establishment was very clean. Glad I got to try it. I drove about 25 minutes to try this place. Nothing special called out so I won't go out of my way to come here again. Great if you're local and want to splurge.
