If you're expecting the usual Asian fare and treatment here in Phoenix, you're gonna be disappointed, so please manage your expectations when you come here. This place mainly opened to cater to the thousands of TSMC and ancillary workers that are now here in Phoenix.I was fortunate enough to be invited tonight by friends who know the owner of the restaurant, and it was a wonderful night out with friends, good food, laughter, and even some impromptu karaoke. This is definitely a place where you come in a big group to eat family style and good idea to bring someone who knows Mandarin Chinese or Taiwanese. When I came here for dinner, the place was full with many large group tables! Plenty of people are coming in and out, picking up takeout. I also learned that one guy who knew our party was ordering lunch boxes tomorrow for him and his staff at TSMC. Wow, what an operation that's happening here. I was spoiled tonight as my friend knew exactly what to order for us and called in our order ahead of time. This is a place that serves up authentic Taiwanese food, but I think you're gonna need to know what to order. My friend sent me the menu ahead of time, and this was what was being ordered for us, a party of 7:-Beef with scallions-Fried oyster Taiwanese style-Pork and bamboo shoots-Stir fried vegetables-Pineapple shrimp-Sesame chicken soup-Taiwanese noodlesAll the dishes were pretty good, but I have to say the sesame chicken soup was my favorite (no picture, sorry). This dish was literally cooking on a side table on a portable gas stove! I love ginger, and this soup was really good!I also really liked the scallion beef dish, and I love bamboo shoots, so the bamboo shoot and pork dish hit the spot for me.We also had a few cans of herbal Chinese tea and brought me back to my childhood! What was the best part of the evening is that our table just started singing karaoke songs and everyone was having fun and the owners wife even turned on a cute strobe light that I think came with the karaoke unit.It was probably around 9pm when the owner and his friends also sat down at the table next to ours to have dinner and started bringing out Taiwan beers, and then it was a party! The owner is a fun guy, super funny and welcoming! And he sang a few songs too! I'll definitely be back again to enjoy a family style dinner and love that this is a hole in a wall with good food and a fun time!

We were excited to try this spot but was quite disappointed. Their menu changes often and is updated on a white board so couldn't try their beef noodle soup like we wanted after driving 30 minutes to try it. Didn't really communicate how to order - told us to read the board, thought we would order at the cashier near the board but told us to sit down and someone would come.Seems like a better spot to order large dishes for family style - we were the only couple there, other tables were filled with larger parties.Braised pork rice $9 - not enough sauce but overall tasty. Price was fine.Popcorn chicken $9 - crispy but not much flavor. Fried basil was a good touch but the ton of minced garlic kind of masked the basil flavorOyster omelette $18 - biggest disappointment for my husband who grew up in Taipei. Was more of just toppings and egg - should have a glutinous touch with tapioca or sweet potato flour but it was all egg. Price quite high for this too We also ordered a veggie dish but saw them deliver it to a different table. They said they didn't order it but started eating it lol so they kept it. The staff did take it off our tab after we let them know.Overall we wouldn't return. If you live down south, there is another casual Taiwanese restaurant that we much prefer with better service too.

My friends and I were really excited to try out this new Taiwanese restaurant in town. We parked our car and walked in, only to find that it was pretty packed with people. We were approached by a waiter who informed us that they only take reservations and weren't accepting walk-ins. We were a bit surprised by this as there was no sign at the door indicating that reservations were required. It was definitely a bummer to be turned away like that.Overall, it was a disappointing experience and we ended up having to find another place to eat. Just thought I'd give you a heads up in case you were thinking of checking it out.I may give it another shot in the future and hopefully I'll revise my review after tasting their food

Authentic Taiwanese food. No sweet and sour pork on this menu! We had the cucumbers and spring rolls for appetizers. 3 cup chicken and cumin beef for mains. And shrimp fried rice. All were good and large portions, three of us ate and had leftovers. We'll be back to try more dishes! The staff speaks very little English, but the menu is in English and Chinese. And they seemed ready to use google translate if needed.

Went on 6/2/24. Absolutely authentic Taiwanese food, and good family-style portions for each entree. We will be back to try more dishes.

Absolutely authentic Taiwanese night market street food. They took over an old American Chinese food restaurant and maybe that's why the rating is still low.

Best authentic Taiwanese food and a great addition in Phoenix. The owner chef Wen and partner Peter are wonderful. The wait staffs are attentive and sweet.

The foods taste bland and are generally below average. The restrooms and other facility seem to be a normal cheap Chinese takeout establishment.
