My family absolutely loved our meal at Soup and Sausage Bistro! We ordered the cabbage rolls, pierogies, and the incredible Borsch soup. The cabbage rolls were perfectly seasoned and the pierogies had such a great texture. But the real star was the Borsch - my kids couldn't get enough of that rich, flavorful soup. The cozy little dining area is charming if you want to eat in, but we got our food to-go and it traveled well. The service was friendly and efficient. This place is an authentic taste of Eastern European cuisine done right. Such amazing flavors at a great value. We'll definitely be back for more of that irresistible Borsch! Highly recommended.

Who wants to go someplace different? I seen this restaurant the other day and decided to try this with my sister and mom. Our waiter/host (Patrick) was awesome as we had lots of question about the pierogies and sausage/Kabasa. He had a lot of patience and explained everything. Some people may see the prices are all, but you get a lot of food for the price. Don't take my word for it. Go visit the place it's new just opened about three months ago.Yes, we will be returning

To start, I appreciate the fact that this restaurant is conveniently located in the neighborhood and has an attractive sign. However, I must admit that I wasn't particularly thrilled with my dining experience. While I don't have much exposure to Ukrainian cuisine.I wanted to give the restaurant a fair chance, so I waited over a month before writing this review. Maybe my taste preferences are just not aligned with this type of food?Throughout our entire time there, we remained the only customers in the restaurant. There were many tempting options on the menu, and we ended up quite a bit of food for our dinner - just the two of us. We ordered soup, perogis, and my husband tried one of their sausage dishes. The food took quite a while to arrive at our table. Unfortunately, everything we tasted was rather bland and unexciting. It lacked seasoning and simply tasted like something a finicky and spoiled child would eat. Perhaps Ukrainian cuisine typically isn't heavy on salt, pepper, or bold flavors. I have a Ukrainian friend who even considers pepper to be spicy. It's possible that the food itself isn't bad, but rather that this particular cuisine just isn't a good fit for my personal taste.

We decided to try this place about a week ago for take out for the first time ever. We live in the neighborhood and this location is walking distance for us. We ordered two different types of soup to try and the cabbage rolls. Long story short, we've gone back twice more....in one week. The food is so, so delicious. We will definitely keep coming here and I look forward to trying different items on the menu. We will always choose to support local businesses. Try this place!!!!

Used to go to the 7th street location all time time right after they opened. But after covid and not eating out as much somehow Soup n Sausage got forgotten about. Got an email from them and was a nice reminder to go back. Decided to try the new location and the food was just as good as before. Love the cabbage rolls! So tender and filling. Mmmm lecho sauce! Will be definitely be adding them back into the rotation!

Excellent, tasty dishes. If you are not familiar with Eastern European food, well, this is the place to try. Everything is very well made and I understand it's made from scratch. Interestingly enough, if you're on a diet, this place has a lot of meals that could be pretty low in carbs and still leave you feeling full. The soups are well mean the sausages are delicious. By the way the way Eastern Europeans use sauerkraut is not how Americans use sauerkraut. They actually season, flavor and cook it and it is delicious. Open your mind about eating familiar foods prepared in a Polish and Ukrainian way, and you will not be disappointed here at this restaurant!

Such a great, interesting time at Soup and Sausage! Patrick was chatty, helpful and knew the menu top to bottom, making suggestions for us first-timers. Loved the pork cabbage roll. Pierogies were very good. Potato pancake just as it sounds as well as sauerkraut stuffed bun.The honey cake was fantastic and I'd go back for that and the cabbage rolls. Next time we'll try some soups and maybe some other things! Big menu, lots to choose from. As Patrick explained it's basically Eastern European food, not just one culture. Service was fantastic and food came out fast. We'll be back!

Authentic homemade food. Very flavorful, can be a bit salty. Friendly service, this isn't microwaved food so your order may take a bit longer then normal. Great selection of European beers but you can't take the beers to go. Great place 5
