A Taste of Thailand in Every BiteOn the outskirts of the valley in Surprise, Real Thai and Sushi Restaurant is a culinary gem that has stolen my heart and taste buds. So much so, we make the 50 min drive to dine here regularly. As an avid traveler and lover of Thai cuisine, I have searched far and wide for an authentic dining experience akin to what I found in Thailand itself--and I can confidently say, this place delivers! The menu here is a vibrant tapestry of flavors, offering dishes that cater to every palate, including robust options for vegans like myself. With their new chef and a change in the menu, the dishes have reached new heights of excellence.Everything here is amazing, but there is one dish that has stolen my heart. The Pumpkin Curry is an absolute masterpiece, blending velvety smoothness with a perfect balance of sweet and savory notes. Made with tender Japanese pumpkin, this curry is like nothing you have ever tasted before. The Panang Curry is another star, rich with coconut milk and fragrant spices that transport me back to Thailand. And if you're craving something unique, the Kao Soi noodles are a must-try, offering a delightful mix of crispy noodles and creamy curry.Beyond the exquisite food, the service here is top-notch. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable, always ready with recommendations and a friendly smile. Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, you'll feel welcomed and well-cared for.Real Thai and Sushi is an authentic experience that has captured the essence of Thailand' right here in Arizona. Whether you're reminiscing about your travels to Southeast Asia or embarking on a new gastronomic adventure, this place promises an unforgettable experience. Make sure to try the pumpkin curry--it might just change your life!

We've been to Real Thai & Sushi twice since it opened. The first time, we ordered papaya salad, I ordered my favorite Pad Se Ew, and my husband ordered Chicken Gra Pow. We are both familiar with Thai spice thanks to my mom, but ordered level 2 (out of 5 according to the waitress) to be safe. We are so glad we did because, although the flavors and freshness of the dishes were great, it became uncomfortable to continue eating because both dishes were way too spicy. The atmosphere hadn't changed from the previous restaurant and the service was nice but a bit new at things, which is to be expected. The second time we went, he ordered the same dish (his favorite) and I ordered Pad Thai. We also had moo ping as an appetizer. His spice level was 1 and mine was 0. I asked for a side of dried Thai pepper so I could manage the spice level on my own but it never appeared. I ended up using the dipping sauce that accompanied the Moo Ping and it tasted delicious. His level 1 was still spicy but he really enjoyed it. To be clear, we eat and cook Thai food often so we are quite familiar with Thai spice levels and are not amateurs. I will continue to visit this restaurant, as all the dishes were quite good. I will just be mindful of the spice levels every time I visit.

Good ambience, service. My wife loved her Thai Dish and I found the Sashimi to be acceptable.Only problem, beer was not ice cold.

This place is awesome! We tried some Thai food and some Japanese food and both were excellent. Started with some shrimp spring rolls and those were so good. Nice flavor and body to the shrimp I ordered the salmon and salmon roe bowl (one of my favorite things that isn't very easy to find in this state) and it was great! My husband ordered the drunken noodle beef and wow the flavor was incredible. We will be frequenting this place as often as we want to try all the menu items (although I admittedly might stick to the salmon and salmon roe bowl most of the time!). I highly recommend this place. The staff is super friendly. Ambience is great.

Sunday evening and my "Go to" sushi place was closed. Thanks to Yelp I found Real Thai & Sushi. Only open for 6 months, they are doing it right! So welcoming, food was authentic, fresh and outstanding and honestly a great experience. Please try as it is my new favorite "go to" and a hugely welcome addition to Surprise dining!

I came in for lunch and this place has amazing lunch specials! Every lunch plate comes with a small soup and a little gyoza on the side. The service was very attentive and kind. Our server was accommodating to a young member of my party and helped with a request for them. We thought the pad thai was tasty and fresh. The spice level was perfect for me. The pad se ew was full of noodles and veggies. The sushi was just good but nothing extraordinary. We loved the crispy rice spicy tuna and would order it a million times more. We will be coming back!

We had Pad Thai, the orange chicken, and spring rolls. Unfortunately the pad Thai was not very good and only had two pieces of shrimp in it. I've been to Thailand several times so I think I'm a pretty good judge of it. It had one over powering flavor throughout (not layers of flavors). The orange chicken was good, nice flavor and crispy. The spring rolls had no flavor/seasoning at all and the wrap was over chewy (hard to chew and swallow) The service was really good, friendly and on top of things. The atmosphere was nice and clean with a warm ambiance. To be fair we would go back to try the sushi and some other dishes at least one more time....it might have just been the dishes we picked. For me 3 stars is average for overall experience. The food is what brought it down from a 4 - 5 star down to a 3 star review. It looks family friendly but not (pet) dog friendly since there is no outdoor patio. (Even though in the summer you wouldn't want to be outside!!)

We were so excited to see Lao style papaya salad, moo ping, and E-San sausages. It couldn't get more authentic than that for us!We really enjoyed the Moo Ping (pork skewers) but wish there was more than just 3 skewers for the price or the skewers plus a side of sticky rice. Also we wish the skewers came with a dipping sauce. The E-San sausages were good but would perfer if they had Lao style sausages. We would definitely come back for the Lao style papaya salad and sticky rice. (We perfer this style over Thai style since the Thai style is more sweet and made with fish sauce vs Lao style made with shrimp/crab paste and black shell crab)We also had the Rad Na (noodle) and Pad Prik King (spicy green beans) which were also delicious but just wish the portions were bigger.Overall, we look forward to coming back and trying more items on the menu. We would love to see things like Nam fried rice, pork riblets or pork jerk added to the menu to complement our list of favorite Thai/lao dishes.

What a hidden gem this place is! We just moved here from California, so our expectations for good Thai food were very low to say the least! Man were we pleasantly surprised! Not only is the food good here, it's some of the best Thai food we have ever had, and we are a Thai family!!! The sushi is amazing too. Seriously, they do everything right here so please come and support this amazing small business. These places are struggling and need a community to support them. So stop eating corporate, and come to this amazing restaurant!
