Popo's Fiesta Del Sol

Website to yelp on this restaurant not accurate if you come with a large party, so have to wait longer.Restaurant looks nice and I've eaten at another Popos and food is good.Waiting still one hour so far, they don't take reservations. Not sure why maybe because it's Father's Day.

Heard great things about this place so we visited Friday and was shocked to see how busy this place was for a Friday afternoon and was excited to try the food. The service was on point but as soon as the food arrived the salsa and chips tasted store bought. We ordered Fajitas and sad to say it looked cold and was cold. The beef and chicken was dry and had no flavor and the beans tasted like they had been sitting out for hours and the rice was cold no flavor. The waitress was nice and the soda tasted good but ill never go back unless I just want soda.

Don't believe the good reviews.Absolutely horrid food.I don't understand how this restaurant has good reviews. The steak fajitas came out tough and stringy and NOT HOT at all. I sent it back and the server recommended the chicken which again came out NOT HOT at all. Fajitas are supposed to be sizzling hot. The shredded beef in their tacos was like chewing rubber bands. Yuck. Not only all that, but the mexican rice was soggy. Incredibly overcooked. We complained to the server and she said she would pass it on to the kitchen and the manager. Then she dropped the bill on the table and no manager appeared and we never saw the server again. Eventually we got sick of waiting so we paid and left. I called the manager when I got home and she did not apologize and said she would check with the server and call me back and "make it right". When talking to her I felt her utter disbelief and disdain at my complaints. I got no call back. It's been 2 weeks. Never again to Popo's.You've been warned.

We were sad when a local Mexican restaurant closed its doors, but a couple months later Popo's Fiesta Del Sol took over the building and opened up here. I know they have other stores, but had not tried them.I've been to PoPo's a couple times now. The first time was 2 days after opening, and they didn't quite have it together yet. But since then they are running on all cylinders. The food is great, service is great, the atmosphere is what you'd expect in a Mexican Food restaurant here in the Phoenix area. The bar is fairly large and service there is excellent as well. Drinks are good and the food is delicious. We'll be regulars at Popo's!

My first time to their new location. My food tasted exactly the same as the Popo's in Glendale. I ordered the same item, cheese enchilada with a side of rice and beans. Doors opened at 11:00 am on a Saturday and we got there at 11:07, and we had to wait! That's how excited Goodyear is to have a Popo's. When we left, the wait to be seated, looked long! Hubs got the ground beed chimichanga a la carte. The chips and salsa here are great. We also ordered a Cadillac margarita. It was so so. Also, not very big. M-F they have lunch specials. Next time I will be trying the Albondigas soup. The decor is the same decor as the last restaurant but the last restaurant, did a really good job, so if it were me taking over the restaurant I would have kept it too.

Nice spot for a bite to eatI spotted the new PoPo's location in Goodyear driving around and decided to go for lunch. There was a line waiting outside prior to the restaurant opening however I was seated immediately, chips/drinks/menu were brought out quickly, The restaurant is new, fresh & clean decorated with dia de los muertos decor from the previous restaurant.I had the lunch portion ground beef chimichanga with rice & beans and it was really very good. The lunch size portion are huge, enough for two. The meatvwas flavorful as were the beans and rice. Give PoPo's a try, the food is good like the other locations, and thev service was excellent very friendly staff. Glad to see that Popos is in the west valley. A nice spot for a bite to eat.

I decided to try this as they bought an existing one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. Chips and salsa were delish They got us seated pretty quickly and they were busy at 1pm on a Friday. Our waitress was great but was very quick - dropped silverware off and left (needed napkins) quickly. Sang Happy Birthday and left. Dropped off checks and left.I ordered chicken tacos / they were deep fried and terribly greasy. I brought them home to the hubs. Everyone did enjoy their food. I will try it again

I love PoPos and was so glad that built one in Goodyear. Their food probably between 15-22 range depending what you get. I love the el polo especial muy Roco I think that's what it is called and its price about 22 but omg so delicious. They give you so much I share with my son or have it for lunch the next day. I also got a frozen strawberry margarita which was delicious.

Had to try the new spot!! The OG is our absolute fav and the new location did not disappoint! Chips & salsa awesome. The food was amazing, the service was great. Super impressed with the new vibrant look of the new popos!! Never disappointed. The pollo especial, fajita salad, chimichanga, kids meal all above expectations, but exactly what you should expect for the price!

Family atmosphere and the food is always fresh! The wait staff and hostesses are always friendly and willing to go above and beyond!
