Terrible... Place is very errie when going in and the guy at the meat counter tried to say price of goat meat was higher by $3 than it said on the board with no reason given. I refused to buy it, he said a few choice words in Arabic and I replied in kind. Left the store without buying anything I will never go here again and I have half a mind to report them. AVOID!!

Store says it opens at 10 even when arriving on the door it says there open at 10. I came to the store around 10:40 and the gentleman was in the back busy with things and the store lights were off but the door was open? Awkward.. he most likely was behind and came late anyways I felt rushed and didn't feel welcome he told me the store isn't opened yet um clearly it is open because the hours say 10! And the door was open! He was just behind! Won't be back but did end up getting the chicken I drive 40minutes just to get chicken I wanted to see what else was in store but obviously he was too busy and late opening the store.

I love the new bakery section here. Delicious middle eastern baked goods. Very hard to find in Phoenix.

The guy who sells meat and probably is a store owner is a jackass. He sells meat according to the customer. I asked him the price on the board is different than the one sticker attached to the meat. His justification was that its due to the weather the prices of goat meat has gone up. I was so pissed that I wanted to call the federal office. They are robbing people than doing a business. This store deserves to be closed period. Don't go to this place. Go to lotus market or Asiana for better indian spices and meat.

Who knew that there was a middle eastern mecca right down the street. I now know where to get my goat, bulgur, egyptian yogurt and oh so much more. Owned by a cute little lady who dreams of expanding and growing her own arabian kingdom , she was fun to talk to and find about her plans for her "corner". I loved checking out the grains and beans, I bet I could make an awesome bean soup with some of these treasures. I am sure I will be back for red lentils. I also was jazzed to find a 4lb bag of split peas for only 2.00 ...screaming deal. Anybody know what to do with pressed apricot ? It was inexpensive and seemed "cool" but not sure how to use it. They also had interesting spices , grains and ,taa daa ,various filo doughs and puffed pastry ...something I have had to go out of my way to buy before. I wished they had fresh produce but oh well. I am very curious about the new restaurant next door to be called Ali Baba's . I am sure it will be an adventure too.

WORST middle eastern market of Arizona. Terrible customer service. Meat is overpriced and very low quality

They weighed 4.5 lbs of goat meat at the meat counter. When the meat was brought to the check-out counter the package looked smaller than it should have. I asked them to check the weight again, they said they did and it was good. On coming home we weighed the meat to be a half pound short. Do not trust these guys. Check and double check, verify and re-verify.

Wonderful place and great costumer service, I go there almost all the time that I'm in Phoenix, the owner is awesome and the place is very clean I love the bakery to but can't eat as much sweet!

Disgusting! Got goat meat from here. I have been eating goat all my life. What they gave us was horrible, all fat and maybe it was stale too. We had to pressure cook it for ages and finally threw it all away. It smelled horrible! Never going back here

Open Sesame is a clean and friendly neighborhood market offering an array of spices, and other Middle Eastern, Indian and Pakistani products. In addition, they have a butcher who will cut meat to your individual specifications. They are located next to Ali Baba's restaurant and bakery. Another great Middle Eastern eating establishment. .
