Goodness... This post makes me so sad because I had "HIGH Hopes" when I brought my Chef friend here yesterday for some good food! She's German, so the stakes were up, and then they were down...I bragged to her about how awesome the food && service was from the two times I dined here, in the last 3 months. I ordered the beef stroganoff... it was grizzly and made me sick. When I brought it to the attention of our server, she had mentioned to me that somebody else didn't like it either! Then she came back with me with a question, "how about a 20 % discount on your meal?" Um NO... My guest and I were shocked that she didn't "comp" the meal...We ordered Mimosas, our server, tipped the entire try of drinks (for 4 tables) so we had to wait longer...luckily, the second time around they were really good. Then I went to the Restroom...OY...it was like someone peed everywhere! I had to hold my breath! I remember when I first ate here, she told me they had changed ownership. Yeah, like overnight, everything was very bad && sad. Even the website doesn't work when you look it up. I'm not coming g back. RIP.

I would rate this place closer to 3 stars but this place has so much potential. Plus the servers have always been nice and friendly.Pros: Their beer selection and beer prices are truly decent (@1L). The Pretzel and beer cheese when not overbaked are truly delightful.Cons: Food costs went up, quality/taste went down. They cut corners with their recipes and possibly ingredients. Each time I have gone, the food has gotten slightly less and less enjoyable. Its still good, but not to the level I expect. They have a gorgeous back patio that is fading, and I truly think this is one of the few places that could pull off a substantial Oktoberfest if they did specials.

My straight out of Frankfurt husband brought us here today to try to some traditional German dishes and drinks! They had a good selection compared to some other german restaurants. The staff was friendly and provided good service. The food was fine. I think most of it lacked the traditional german spices and flavors. I also think $3.50 for a side of cheese sauce is a little ridiculous, but the pretzel needs it to help with the dryness.

I have been here several times with a good friend. Each time trying something new. We find our food, from the bratwurst to the schnitzels and the spatzles to be delicious and fun! The beer choices are amazing. We never have the same German or Austrian beer twice. The patio is authentic and the service sitting in the warm Phoenix summer night is great. We really enjoy the comradery and the food. Sadly, my friend went back to Missouri and I haven't been able to get back since.

We love Edelweiss. We used to live closer but now will make the drive over here when the urge for German food hits. I love their jagerschnitzel. Spaetzle is sometimes hit or miss. Service is usually a bit on the slow side but always friendly. Pretzel bites appetizer is one of my husband's favorites. I enjoy the days they have live entertainment. On our most recent visit they had Black Forest cake as a desert special and my husband ate every bite and said it was delicious. Solid choice if you're in the area and craving German food!

If you're in the mood for awesome German food and a huge stein of beer this is the place to be! Come here for lunch with coworkers every other month or so, and it's always a treat. Service is unfailingly friendly and the place is about as authentic as it gets. Huge dining room, live entertainment and a great Biergarten too. Prost!

Really good food. Feels very homemade. We started with the big pretzels and beer cheese, happy the cheese wasn't that strong. Also we got the csusza, it was really good! Taste like a Romanian dish with feta cheese and bacon, but pasta instead of polenta. Also the cordon bleu is really good. Got the huhner schnitzel and it was good. Also got the beer hot sausage and it's really good. They do give you complementary birthday dessert.

The best I can say is "Meh"It wasn't awful...Or Meh it wasn't great... The food was ok nothing to write home about and at the same time good enough to keep you eating not just push it away and stop for a fast food burger on your way home...They do have an impressive beer menu if you like German beers ...The place is worn and very outdated but clean and comfortable...Service was the stand out quality of the place we had a great server fast, friendly and very attentive.. I was in Germany in the mid 80's and this place felt kinda like the small family eatery's that the locals would go to ...If you looking for average food in a ok place and just want to fill your belly with pretty authentic German food this could be your place ...
