Cubanitas Kitchen

Omg this was such a cute small restaurant! The color and painting on the wall was so welcoming. And the food was pretty authentic! I'm from Tampa, FL and the cuban cigars and food are very popular there and this restaurant really hit the spot and reminds me of that-Tampa-feeling. The food was so delicious that my partner and I completely finished our plates, and we still talk about these dishes that I posted below. And forsure you know that there food is fresh because they will cook it right in the front where you order your food. I definitely recommend everyone to check out this little hole in the wall. Lastly get their guava shake too that was amazing!!!

There are no guest bathrooms, they ask you to go to Subway. Food was so so at best and rather bland with no sauces on the side. I've had better. They do not add plantains to your meal.

I'm trying to get the word out about the Cubanitas Kitchen. I brought my brother with me for lunch. I wanted to try the Empanada's and asked Angel the owner , which Empanada were better the Chicken or Beef ? He said we only make Beef . Sometimes they make them with Guava, but not today. They were excellent. Great flavor and well seasoned. Comes with garlic sauce dip. We both had the Cubano sandwich and some Maduros ( Sweet Plaintains). Maduros taste like candy to me. Their the best I've ever had. Love the Cubano too ! I tried Strawberry shake. Man that was good. Great flavor. Have I repeated myself a few times about great flavor. Best Cuban place in the Pheonix aera.

What I like about this place is their relatively small menu which means they can just focus on making good food rather than making a large variety of mediocre food. I tried out their steak sandwich and mango milkshake. The mango milkshake was quite delicious. Although the steak sandwich was pretty big, there was way more bread than actual ingredients. Wish there was less bread and more steak, lettuce, and tomatoes. The fries were also of above average quality. Service was friendly throughout. It's a nice mom 'n pop shop for sure.

Mmmmm I always wanted to go to Cuba for some good authentic food. I had the pollo plate with congri and sweet plantains for my side. Therefore as the Terminator said "I'LL BE BACK !

Food is like a 7.5 to 8 out of 10 I did enjoy the food for the most part but what I forget to realize is a lot of it is fried and it makes you feel like shit afterwards, but I enjoyed it

Cubanitas has been on my radar for a while. I've becoming increasingly more curious to try as it continues to receive recognition. I've never been to Cuba but its authenticness is obvious. I ordered a light bite- ground beef empanada over the guava empanada. I'm not a fried food guy and was a little turned off by the greasiness but the seasoned ground beef inside was delicious. I'd be curious to try other menu items.

Originally from Los Angeles, but came to Cubanita's for a last hurrah with some co-workers on our last day of training here in Phoenix and according to the Cuban in our group, the food was authentic and we all agreed that it was absolutely delicious. I had the Cubano sandwich and it was excellent. For the first time ever I had a Cuban coffee, something I was always afraid of because it's straight expresso. I ordered a Cafe BomBom, which had a bit of condensed milk and to my surprise, it was delicious and surprisingly sweet. The service by the owner, Angel, and his team were very welcoming and friendly. Angel added a personal touch by greeting us all and had conversations with us at the table. The ambiance was very homelike and cozy as well. In the time we were enjoying our dinner we forgot about work and that we were all away from home. We tried various restaurants every night for the week we were here, but Angel gave us by far, the best and most personable experience of all of them. We will be back Angel, thanks for the hospitality and the small memory we made while at Cubanitas Kitchen. Gracias!!

Food was great. But the prices are steep. 2 meals with drinks totaled $54.00. The service is great but due to the price I will not be going back. Nice cozy little restaurant.After the owner's response I will definitely not be coming back- I did have an empanada as well so add that up. Either way this rude restaurant owner will not get my business.I have looked at all of your responses to reviews less than 3 stars and you seem to get your feelings hurt when someone writes their views. Your attitude and response was the main reason why the change in stars. Have a great day and learn that all you are doing is hurting your business. Bye Felicia!
