This is my favorite restaurant at 24th and Camelback. I cannot believe how well designed it is and the beautiful wallpaper. On a warm January day I enjoy grabbing a whoopy pie or cookie and drinking it with a cup of milk. My favorite lunch options are their sammys, especially the scrumptious ultimate grilled cheese. For breakfast you've gotta go with the Stack. I get especially excited when they put a smiley face on top!

This is a cute brunch/lunch spot in the Biltmore area! It's a walk up, order, and find a spot to sit at establishment with a variety of coffee, tea, sweet, and savory selects. Service was casual, decent. I did enjoy they had board games play. I ordered the Corned Beef Hash and The OG. The menu doesn't establish their prices for that menu item, only the range of the category. I didn't care for this approach but it was different - it's like price roulette. The Corned Beef Hash had a great portion for $15.50 and was very filling! Had the beef, 2 eggs, potatoes, onions, and peppers! The OG was okay - biscuit was kinda dry and needed a bit more syrup for the sweet/savory combo. Also ordered a vanilla latte and dirty chai latte which were good. Not too sweet and wasn't weak in espresso. All in, the 4 items cost $45 so it's on par with the cost in the area. Overall, it was a decent place and if I'm in the neighborhood, I'd try them out again and order something different.

I've been to Chestnut a few times and the consensus is that it's just okay. This is a fine spot to get coffee and a pastry, but the breakfast and lunch are pretty lackluster and overpriced for what you get. I've had the 'lox and bagel' and it was maybe my least favorite bagel and lox I've had in recent memory. It's served deconstructed, which is fine, but the ratios of what they gave you were so off. The quality of the lox was also not that great as with the bagel. I've also had the Green Eggs and Ham and the Oatmeal which were fine but nothing I'd come back for. My friend got the tuna sandwich and said the same. The worst part about the sandwich were the sweet potato chips! They were soft - like you could bend them in half. No crunch at all. To me that's just bad service, they shouldn't have served them at all and offered another side instead. The coffee is fine but nothing better than so many of the other great local spots. They do have a nice patio though and some decent seating inside. Service is generally pretty slow, but that gives you time to hang out if that's what you're looking for. Parking is weird - I always park at Wells Fargo even though you're not supposed to. Haven't totally figured out where to park.

The chocolate chip cookie is also very good! It's definitely not as soft or chewy as I normally go for and was a little more reminiscent of a buttery shortbread cookie, but not dry. But the coffee..the coffee was not good. I got a shaker and even by looking at it, it was just the wrong color (I realize that's not descriptive, but iykyk) and when I drank it it had that bitter taste in the back of my mouth. Highly recommend the pastries and food, but Press has a 100% better shakers/coffee.

We stumbled upon this place on our way back from a hike. It's a charming spot with plenty of seating both indoors and out on the patio. Our dishes were tasty, but the standout was definitely the peanut butter stuffed chocolate cookie! Their selection of pastries looked incredible. If you're near Biltmore Fashion, this is a must-try spot!

Huge thanks to Chestnut for catering an event I hosted this past Saturday evening. We had a group of 25 people (12 adults and 13 kids), and I knew it was going to be another busy weekend on the soccer field, so cooking a full meal was out of the question... I first emailed and then spoke on the phone with Matthew, the Chestnut Catering Manager. He was super helpful in helping me decide on our menu. We went with the following:- House Made Chicken Strips w/Dipping Sauces- Chestnut Chopped Salad (Dressing, Chicken and Cheese on Side)- Oh Mega Luv Bowl - Buttered Noodles- Chestnut's House Made Sweet Potato Chips- Chestnut's Famous Chocolate Chip CookiesSome friends brought in some additional items, so we definitely had a feast! Everyone raved about the food and we had leftovers for days... I was not complaining. Especially about the leftover chips and cookies ;)On top of our food order, I paid a small delivery delivery fee and a 20% service fee, and Matthew came right on time to not only deliver the food, but to set it all up with me. It came in beautiful bowls, serving platters, etc... and they even had portable warmers. It worked out so well. I stopped into Chestnut's beautiful new location today to return the dishes and loved it. I also picked up an iced tea. I will for sure be back to dine-in as well as consider Chestnut for catering on future occasions. Thanks again to all at Chestnut and to Matthew for a wonderful experience!

@chestnutaz Phoenix, recently re-launched at 2398 E Camelback Rd., has been a staple in Arcadia and Biltmore for a decade. Owner Kirsten Steele impresses with her skills, considering her culinary background is simply her love for cooking and community. The menu is influenced by Chestnut Lane's original concept, as well as innovative takes on local favorites. Additionally, Asian inspired options abound, influenced by Steele's Chinese heritage, such as the Veggie Banh Mi. Shaved golden beets, butternut squash, and sweet potatoes on ciabatta with sriracha mayo and garlic fluff, are a sweet and savory vegetarian option. The oatmeal with apple compote and milk is a comforting breakfast option, with its baked oats, creamy creme fraiche and candied walnuts. The Phoenix Chopped Salad pays homage to the iconic Cowboy Ciao dish. Chestnut's creamy pesto dressing, made in-house with roasted pine nuts, Parmesan, and extra virgin olive oil, is a beautiful complement. The house-made pesto also shines in the "Green Eggs and Ham," on a Buttermilk bun with prosciutto, arugula, and poached eggs. Not to miss are the pastry offerings, like the homemade berry pop tart, stuffed with sweet berry compote inside a flaky crust. Equally as impressive is the cocktail menu. The "Regina" is a smoky and refreshing Palo Santo infused mezcal cocktail. The "Clover Club" is a gin-based berry libation with hibiscus and egg white. The Mocktail menu has superfood options such as the "Nojito", with blue spirulina, cucumber and lemon.Chestnut Restaurant in Phoenix certainly impresses with its commitment to made-from scratch, locally sourced and flavorful dishes, and empowering female leadership in the culinary world, with almost every leadership position in the restaurant held by women. The extensive menu combines classics along with new culinary spins. Best Breakfast in the Biltmore!

I don't even know where to begin myself and a couple of my friends met up here and did a charcuterie board making class, we could not have had any more fun, not gonna lie I myself thought a charcuterie board class hmmm really? I pretty much did it just to get together with my friends, but wow we had a blast. The place was super cute. The owner is amazing. She explained everything and some super cute ideas with top of the notch goodies to put on our charcuterie board with lot of choices. I didn't even come close to putting them all on my board it was nice to be able to pick and choose what ever you fancy .I am now obsessed with truffle cheese now. Oh wow it was good. . And they served these amazing pomegranate margaritas during class and a couple of finger foods. It was amazing. We had so much fun. We will be back...

Chestnut reopened in the Biltmore in my office building at 24th Street and Camelback, and boy am I glad they did. I just finished my lunch and I couldn't wait to get online and post a raving review. The place looks great. It's a cool space to hang out. They have board games and decks of cards. The baked good are on display and they look amazing (I'll be back for a treat).I got lunch. I ordered the Veggie Banh Mi and let me tell you this is one of the best veggie sandwiches I've ever had. It's huge. I could barely finish it. So comforting. The roasted veggies were meaty, colorful and flavorful. What a great sandwich. You will not miss the meat. It comes with a generous portion of their homemade sweet potato chips. Way to go. Glad you're so close.
