"Returned with phoenix family for second time for a great breakfast on a Friday mid morning. Waited for only a short time on the shaded large covered outdoor patio for Dave the Hawaiian shirted front" man host to call us to be seated . We had basically the same orders as previous visit , Benedict , chicken fried steak , big scramble w Birria extra topping ( I could not finish it took home) & young granddaughter had big kids hamburger on Brioche bun w fries , plus added the coconut " Hawaiian pancake to share . All very good , we returned to enjoy the whole experience. The service is very good and efficient . The surf /beach decor is fun like visiting San Diego . There's a small counter , old working jukebox , & surfboards hanging all over . The booths very comfortable. I assume the lunch items great too . I'll ( we will ) be back !"
"Oh how I love this restaurant! My friend Angie chose this place for us to meet up. I don't know how I had never even heard of it before she made our reservations. I am so incredibly glad that she brought me here because this place is amazing. The atmosphere is is what I would call upscale French country. They are beautiful arrangements of porcelain wear champagne bottles and even figurines of chickens. There are fleur-de-lis painted on the ceiling and the plates are all provincial China. There is a lovely garden patio, halloween sat inside. When we were seated, we received bread with pesto, some olives, and some marcona olives. We began our order with the baked chevre with crostini and the bacon, gruyere and leek tartlet. The tartlet had a crust that was so light and flaky and buttery that it literally melted in your mouth. So delicious! We move out your entrees. The beef bourguignon's burgundy gravy was so rich and flavorful and delicious and the meat was so tender. The scallops in white wine sauce and gruyere with wild mushrooms was superb. The scallops were huge - - I only ate 1 and 1/2 so I could have room for dessert. Dessert was fabulous! We had the chocolate raspberry cake with fresh raspberries, buttercream, and chocolate mousse. It was a wonderful dark chocolate. We also had the tuxedo cake--yellow cake layered with chocolate ganache, chocolate mousse, and white chocolate buttercream. It was heavenly! Our server was great. She gave us plenty of time and did not rush us at all. We were a bit surprised when she brought us plastic to go boxes, instead of taking our plates back in boxing them as you would expect in a place like this. That said, they've only just started dinner service, it may not be in the groove yet. This place is wonderful. The atmosphere is absolutely lovely, as was our server, and everything we ate was an 11 on a scale of 1 to 10. Be prepared--I have a lot of pictures!"

"Amazing food and friendly service! 8 of us went here for my son's birthday, and everyone's food was great! We tried the chorizo crepe, the southwest crepe, the veggie breakfast crepe, the strawberries and cream French toast, the loaded hash plate, and a plain Belgium waffle. I would recommend all of them! They have a big menu with lots of amazing sounding choices. I can't wait to come back, so we can try more!"
"We stopped in for a quick lunch and ordered a few things. We got a club sandwich, Oreo bar, pesto pasta salad and potato salad. The sandwich was toasted and had plenty of fixings. It was simple but delicious. The pesto pasta salad was super tasty but the potato salad, while good tasted like it was from the grocery store. The Oreo cream bar was dreamy and delicious. This is a quick no frills spot with indoor and outdoor seating. Service was friendly and food was good!"
"My husband and I both had Cafe de Bangkok bookmarked for quite some time and finally got the opportunity to stop by for dinner. We had gone in the late afternoon, around 4:30pm on a Saturday. As expected, they weren't very busy but had more people comeing in as it grew closer to 5pm.Our sever made some recommendations from their menu; we went with the Yellow Curry with chicken (mild / medium), Guay Teaw Nam Tok (hot), and roti bread. The curry was nice and thick with a good amount to chicken and potatoes, it also had really good flavor. I typically don't like much spice but agreed with the recommended mild/medium spice level as it added a nice kick. My husband really enjoyed the noodle soup. It had a nice broth that had a good balance of spiciness and tartness, it came with a nice filling amount of noodles and pork/meatballs.Overall, we were very satisfied with our food. Their menu consists of a lot of the traditional items you'd expect to see at a Thai restaurant but they have some that I've never heard of before as well. I'm looking forward to returning to dine here again!"
"While out and about on Saturday afternoon we decided to stop by west gate for some drinks and possible food. Our first stop was a dud and the music so loud our ears needed time to calm. We saw Opa Life and no wait so we decided to give it a try. We were greeted and seated right away. The noise level was great and a few TV's at the bar were playing sports. The menu is small, but had some great options. We weren't too hungry as we'd ate earlier in the day so we decided to share the chicken souvlaki skewer which comes with two sides. We chose the Greek salad and rice. We ordered some beer and water. Beer was cold and water refreshing. Our food came out quick and was plated phenomenally. From the first bite to the last it was all delicious. I'm so surprised at the lack of customers. It's bright and clean inside, service was good and we had no issues. The other patrons inside seemed happy as well. This was our first time here and of course I've not tried other menu items, but I felt portions were huge and enjoyed it. The servers I will say looked bored, one sitting chatting with someone not sure if customers or owner, others just grouped near the front. Hopefully it's not this slow everyday."
"7 years since the last review. I did not ever live here yet!Hillside Spot has consistently been the best place to eat for us over the last 7 years! We have tried almost everything on the menu and have not found one thing wrong, or lacking in any way with any of the meals we were served. My favorite is the 50/50. I like to get a sandwich or salad with whatever soup they are serving that month. Again have always been impressed with whatever the soup is and adding a salad or sandwich to the makes it just the right amount of food. I am diabetic and my hubby is pre-diabetic, so the most wonderful thing for us is that we can order great-tasting food and not worry about our blood sugars getting out of control. Yes, we try to stay away from fries, chips, etc but Hillside offers fruit or salad as great alternative sides to choose from. Although their fries are delicious, we will share them once in a while. Choices! That is what we love most about Hillside Spot.Service is always good. I like that they hover on the periphery and are not interrupting with questions, but are there when needed. Finally the beer list. The beer selection is very good. Hubby likes to have one once in a while and the selection is great. Even have Wren House!"
"I liked the food and coffee. Quick and efficient simple cafe. Has a local feel and gets the job done. I enjoyed my breakfast here"
"I saw this place on ticktock and well because I love coffee I gave it a try. First the place is big they have plenty of sitting space inside out in the front and out in the back. Looks like they allow pets a saw a costumer with his pet. There was a little of multi tasking from the staff and that can create a some confusion. We had to make two transactions as there was staff changing tasks. I did not got to try any pastries as they didn't look very fresh. I would give this place another try just to try another coffee. I tried la Guerita and it was a good coffee. My husband as usual improvised and got an americano with a scoop of vanilla ice cream."
"We were welcomed into upon entering. Staff are very nice. Comfortable table and chairs or you can choose to sit on the couch with tables. There is also outdoor seating but we thought it would be noisy sitting outside. We decided to choose a meal from the shareable part of the menu. We opted for Thai lettuce wraps, not too spicy. This shareable meal comes with three lettuce wraps. The server asked if we would like to add one more lettuce wrap to the meal to even things out, I agreed to that thinking that was a great idea. The meal arrived shortly after thereafter and was lovely to look at. The taste of the dish was the best! Just a slight bit of spice really added to the flavor of everything. This dish is gluten free. It was hard to hear and have a conversation. Maybe sitting outside was not such a bad idea after all. Very nice service with attentive servers. Large free parking area with WiFi throughout the area."
"We've been coming here for years. It's a tradition to come after the Pat Timan race. Even when it's busy the wait times aren't long. Open for breakfast and lunch. Service is always fast. Fun waitresses w/the best personable attn to customers, family friendly, "feel at home" place. Love their food! Biscuits & gravy, omelets w/country potatoes. Yum!"
"Is it the best bakery in Phoenix as several articles have highlighted? I don't quiet think so, but it is a good one. Ordered the following things (in order of best to least): bacon and egg + chicken pot pie mini pies, strawberry croissant (vegan), almond croissant. I definitely recommend the first three, but the almond croissant I've had better. Big plus to staff who was super friendly. Definitely would try one of their other locations to see if there's anything different."

TOP FAVE breakfast / lunch spot! Berthas Cafe is the best kept secret in Phoenix. If you know about it, ya know! If not, you need to hop on it!! Our favorites to order are the breakfast sandwich and the Turkey sandwich. So simple yet so delicious! If it's your first time you HAVE to try the turkey sandwich. The caramelized onions make it an easy 10/10 for me. Their lunch special is also a great deal! In addition to all their great breakfast / lunch options, they also have several baked goodies to choose from. Service is top notch every time. The manager is such a delight & everyone is always so welcoming. The space is actually great for groups large & small. Doesn't get too packed which is nice for days you want a nice place to dine in without having to wait long periods of time. Addthis to your list of places to try if you haven't already!! You won't regret it!

You know it's good when your take out order makes them question if you're having a party, when really it's just you and your spouse hungry! The food here is VERY GOOD! Honestly, my only criteria for good Thai food is green curry because I love it so much, and it's very good here.We ordered for pick up, and the interior is clean and spacious. There is lots of parking outside as well. Our dinner:Green curry, mild spice with chickenFriend spring rollsPad Kee Mao with pork, no spicePad See Ew with chicken, no spiceAnd Jumbo fried riceThai food is generally expensive so we spent a pretty penny here, but so worth it!

I wanted to like Opa more than I did.Staying in the area and out for dinner on a Monday night, Greek won out over the other choices at Westgate. Opa offers up standards (pitas, gyro, souvlaki, moussaka, et al) in an airy cafe setting. I ordered a platter: protein + pita + tzatziki + two sides, opting for gyro with veggies and salad. The salad and pita were the highlights of the dish: the tangy vinaigrette lending a brightness to the salad while the pita was fresh and soft. Unfortunately, the vegetables (squash and zucchini with shredded parmesan) were limp and the gyro greasy and too salty. On the plus side? Service was excellent

100% right up my alley...loved the kitschy, dinery, inviting feel of this place. the spot chop salad was pretty perfect - everything i would've thrown in a salad if i had prepared it from scratch myself. i'm very surprised of the mixed reviews of this spot as i honestly could find nothing to criticize :)

Downtown Chandler Cafe is a nice centrally located eatery. It got busy in waves but things moved smoothly. Of course parking is a challenge, particularly when lots of people are out enjoying the nice weather. We got lucky and got a spot right in front. Given how busy it was, food came out fairly quickly. And was really good. Potatoes were nice and the eggs were made to my specifications:)Waffles could have been a little warmer. Ranchero was also really good.

"Saw this place on Instagram had to go visit!Extremely cute and quaint local owned shop.So many options of bagel, spreads, and sandwiches. My wife got the cinnamon raisin bagel with butter and cinnamon sugar. I tried the French Toast Bagel. Highly recommend trying absolutely delicious."
"I've ordered three sandwiches from this restaurant and they are delicious. No skimping on the meat here, and the bread is fresh. I haven't been in yet, but if I'm nearby and need something for lunch or dinner, I sure will! Yummy!"
"Driftwood is so cute and quiet. The neighborhood is exactly the same! Clean, quiet, down the street from the shop is a community center, behind the shop is a completely shaded play area with tables and chairs to lounge while the kids play. The area is almost complete fenced in which was my favorite part of the location. Haha the seasonal coffees are very creative. I tried, "The Remix" and to my delighted surprise, there were real peanuts in the bottom. The pastries are from a local bakery and very flavorful. Jacob, from Mystic Coffee in Gilbert is one of the roasters at this shop and then it made sense why the coffee itself was so good. Haha The handcrafted drinks take a little longer than your average coffee shop but will not disappoint."
"Great atmosphere great beers and great music! Def recommend stopping by here if you are up in cave creek"
"This rating is for breakfast only. Busy AJ and East Mesa favorite located on the North side of Apache Trail.Parking is largely an unmarked dirt lot on the east side of the building with a few paved Handicap spaces. Atmosphere is dated country kitchen with a fair sized dining area with tables. Unfortunately this place is crazy busy for good reason so expect 30+ minutes waits during peak hours.Group and large parties can reserve the party room in the rear. This area is staffed separately including bar service which is where our Red Friday's group used to meet. Menu is breakfast, lunch and dinner with all day breakfast. My pick and their patrons favorite is the Biscuits and Gravy. An order is all I can eat. Service is friendly and I've never seen servers hustling like here.Despite a long wait in the main dining area my score is for service and excellent country breakfast!$$"
"Stopped in to Cortado as this is close to my office and I was in need of caffeine. Their fresh baked goods is the first thing I smelled when walking in. They had just put out muffins that were still warm so of course I had to grab one. It was the morning glory muffin which think of carrot cake in muffin form. It was sooooo good. The gal working so super nice and allowed me time to decide on what to drink. They had so many choices! I opted for the praline sugar cookie latte which comes standard with almond milk. The coffee wasn't the best brew but also not the worst. I will definitely come back for some baked goods and grab another coffee!"
"I met one of my friends here for work. It is located a little bit out there West of Phoenix. Looks like an industrial area but the people who work out there need to eat too. Many people have posted pictures of the menu but I zoomed in on a couple interesting sandwiches ASU Sundevil pastrami and USC Trojan pastrami (see photo), both are likely good but I was there for breakfast so I got the chorizo omelet which was very tasty with good flavor. Not too spicy but very good.Good option if you happen to be in the area. The staff was very friendly as well."
"Looking for something healthy to eat, this place came up on my search. Most customers looked like they just came back from the gym. Amount of protein they have in each dish, I think it's perfect food to eat after workout.Manu is extensive. I spent time studying the menu before ordering "The Sexy". Hahaha I like the naming too.Salmon was cooked to perfection. They have all kinds of sauce available but it has enough flavor, I didn't add any.Fast food type setting. You order at the counter and pick it up when it's ready. It's so close to my office, I would definitely come back frequently."
"Was in the area and had to swing by and check it out! This place did not disappoint, I had the mazapan latte and it was super delicious! I wish I had a crepe because others around me had one and it looked yummy. Looking forward to coming back and getting one and trying a new latte flavor. The two ladies working were super sweet and knew both English and Spanish."
"Typical breakfast place. Huge portion. Service and quality of food were good. Shared a California Benedict. Next time, could've skipped the added bacon to the Benedict. Thankful there was no wait at 10am on a Saturday!"
"This place is our favorite for the taste of the cake. Have ordered customized cakes on various occasions here and have never regretted about it. Cake taste just amazing here that you won't get in any other place. Must try place for your party cakes. However there are couple of things that we don't like here. We have faced some weird staff here who felt to be rude as well occasionally. Not a very pleasant greetings you can expect every time. Secondly, we tried their over the counter bakery items and mostly satisfied with it except one incident when the pastries were frozen badly with ice crystals and it did not taste good at all. At least not when you pay hefty price for the pastries.Coming to price, this place is not cheap at all and don't go if you are looking for similarly priced cakes as in Walmart, fry's and other super market. With the great taste comes the high price. They charge for the quality but it is still worth it and I would recommend this place."
"I know I should have ordered breakfast, but I'm always searching for the perfect reuben. I didn't find it this time around, but Biscuit's version isn't too bad. The sauerkraut was pretty mellow and the thousand island dressing was ok. The bread had a good crunch to it, but was pretty oily. The corned beef was tender and only a smidge dry. The onion rings were ok, nothing really remarkable about them. All that aside, the staff is really nice and I'll be back to check out the breakfast items."
"Great lil hidden gem. Came across Lunch Tome Cafe when I was looking for food near my new job. I've tried breakfast sandwiches as well as lunch and both are delish. My coworkers are even hooked now. They knew nothing about this place until I found it. We have now made it a point to grab breakfast or lunch here a few times a month. Very good spot"
"Sweet TreatsI have been wanting to try this place forvthe longest time. So today I stopped in. The store is very clean and nicely decorated. The staff are very polite, friendly, and helpful. On this visit I selected several different varieties of pan dulce to take home. All the pan dulce were fresh, flavorful, and delicious. As I was looking around I noticed some beautifully decorated cakes, that will be my next purchase!"
"This is one of my boyfriend's favorite coffee shops, so he took me here the last time I was out in Arizona. It's a cute little spot and they have specialty drinks every so often! I fell in love with the Matchata, which is an iced matcha latte with horchata (that typically replaces the milk), so I had to get it again when we went back recently. I love the aesthetic of the place and they also have merch! If you want some delicious coffee, and want to try out Spanish-influenced coffees, then I would suggest checking this place out."
"VCC is definitely off the beaten path and probably only known to locals. We circled a couple of times to find this gem. It was well worth it. Close to the Japanese friendship garden, the menu is varied from coffee drinks to baked goods to gelato. It was a warm day and we were looking for a place to relax before dinner. Service was friendly and welcoming. We ordered a iced americano, matcha latte with oatmilk, honey lavender latte, and chocolate cookie. The lattes were both yummy and refreshing and the cookie was thick and soft (more like bread) perfect for sharing. We snagged the 4 comfy leather swivel chairs in the corner and had a relaxing time."
"Had to take my mom to an appointment in the area. I took her here as she always wanted to try. The place is so cute. Filled with artwork by local Sun City residents. They were very busy. Service was great and the people are so sweet and friendly. 5 stars. The food 2 stars. The gf toast was great. The eggs came put so greasy she had to ask for extra napkins to soak it all up. They were sliding in a puddle of oil or butter on her plate. The two slices of bacon were great as well as the coffee. The potatoes were so over cooked she couldn't poke them with a fork so she didn't eat them. Probably a busy hit or miss kind of place. Her $6.99 breakfast after the 2 slices of gluten free toast and bottomless coffee it was $13. Not including tip. By the entrancebis a display with delicious desserts!"
"Really wanted to love Cielito Rosa Bakery & Cafe more. The shop's cute af and totally instagram-worthy, for sure. The vibes are on point, and the drinks we tried were tasty. We grabbed the Butterfly Kisses Latte, which is caramel and lavender (the edible butterfly on top was a nice touch!) and a classic horchata. Both were solid. The pastries were a little hit and miss, though. The pig-shaped gingerbread cookie was good and reminded me of when we used to get these cookies as kids. The macaron tart with strawberries was just okay tho as it was a little soggy from the filling and didn't hold together well because of that. We went midday on a Tuesday, and it was surprisingly busy for a weekday, which probably explains why it took some time to get just two drinks. Plus, the prices were a bit on the higher side for what we got. Cielito Rosa definitely has potential and I'd say it's worth checking out if you're in the area and want some instagramable pics, but overall, it didn't quite live up to the hype."
"This is one of the best South Indian buffet in the area. The staff is super nice, kind and welcoming. Food is freshly prepared and everything tasted amazing, very close to the authentic flavors you will find in India. The masala chai and filter coffee are also terrific. The inside is not fancy, but very clean and functional. I would recommend to start with buffet if you are new to trying South Indian food, so you can get a feel for many things. When you get the buffet, please ask your server for the Masala dosa / dosa, since, it is prepared fresh, made to order. I will definitely be coming back and will spread the word!"
"A cozy little cafe in the heart of downtown Buckeye. Great food and coffee. The cafe serves breakfast and light lunch such as sandwiches. My favorite is the chicken cashew sandwich it comes with chips and a pickle. Also, I go for their caramel macchiato iced coffee; it's very strong with a strong flavor of the expresso. I like dining here to support local businesses."
"Beautiful view facing the golf course and delicious food. Perfect for happy hours with your friends."
