"This was such a great restaurant to stumble upon. I had never been into the Market at the Fairway and while I saw a variety of restaurant options, I had to patron a veg place bc I can eat everything!Sure I wanted the whole menu, so I settled on the Pinocchio Cheesesteak (since I never get to eat the real Philly kind). When I picked up my plate, the first thing I said was, wow, this chef truly believes in his food. It was beautiful AND delicious to boot!!I'll be back, there's so much I want to try"
"Wow. Delicious food and juice smoothies. I saw the write up in the paper about healthy food 500 calories or less for $10 or less. I met my friend and we enjoyed a couple hours chanting as we accessed the east order menu at the kiosk and viola, tasty salads, and drinks appears as time passed. The staff is great, very helpful and the food is fresh like it was picked that morning. The flavors are well thought out and very satisfying. I got green juice smooths with kale, banana and pineapple- so yummy , and a Greek salad. Fuel did not disappoint. I highly recommend."

Visit Restaurant Page"Yelp led me here based on great ratings, and the experience was great enough such that I won't deviate from the great ratings it's received from other reviewers. Masala Kitchen is by no means fine dining, but rather a more fast casual Indian vegetarian street food type experience where food is cooked to order fresh. It's located inside the farmers market building which I wasn't aware of until I arrived. The service (5/5) from the guy taking food orders and delivering food to the tables was super friendly and pleasant, especially for a place which doesn't have formal waiter service. He definitely took pride in running the business and making sure customers were happy, which is a vibe I don't often get from Indian eateries. We ordered the chole bhature, a kati roll, & masala dosa. The chole bhature (3.5/5) was a little watery and wasn't the best of preparations I've had, but it was decent and came with 2 great big pieces of the bhature/bread. The Kati roll (4.5/5) came cut up into 4 pieces and was incredibly flavorful with the paneer and fillings, but some people dining with me found it too spicy while others raved about it and felt it was perfect. The masala dosa (4/5) was a decent portion for sharing and tasted good, but nothing to rival places which specialize in dosas. They have several Indian dessert options...we tried some jalebi (4.5/5) which was a perfect way to end the meal. The prices were very reasonable and food tasty, so rounding up to 5 stars given it's an informal street food type place with friendly ownership aimed at pleasing all dining guests. Others may be disappointed if expecting a more formal restaurant experience (which this place isn't trying to be)."
"I have been eating at Aman's for many years now. The food is always delicious and fresh. I prefer to eat vegetarian dishes here.I especially love their Samosa, garlic naan and Vegetable Manchurian...little vegetable balls in a not too spicy, tomato-based sauce. Their mango lassis are the best, as is their chai tea.I have never had a complaint."
"Let me tell you how this place speaks for itself without speaking. I was walking by and noticed the ceiling to floor windows and patrons dining right at tables next to the window. The place was packed and I knew the next time I was in the area I had to check it out. And that's just what I did. As soon as I walked in I felt warm and like I was in for a great experience. The ambiance is inviting and beautiful, I almost thought I was in an art museum. The lighting is just right. There's plenty of space and seating top to bottom. Friendly staff. And who doesn't appreciate a well kept restaurant, it was spotless including the rest room. The food is spot on. Best green curry in town. Best tom yum soup. Pad Thai spot on. One thing I've always appreciated with Thai food in general is that it's well seasoned. All the flavors came together well. I didn't feel like anything was missing from any of the dishes. Each dish hit the right notes. You can't go wrong with any of the dishes here really. Especially since you can request your level of spice. One thing to remember here is there's a 3% card processing fee applied when paying by card. Which some restaurants have started to do these days. If that doesn't bother you fine, if it does, make sure you bring plenty of cash to avoid the extra charge.Chatayee is a must visit and multiple follow up visits."
"I was treated to a delicious Mediterranean platter from here last night! I believe my friend spent about $55 and it served about 15 of us for lighter noshing. It was a really nice option for entertaining that I'll have to keep in mind for shindigs I host in the future. The grape leaves were jammed packed and wonderful. The Israeli salad had the right amount of oil and fresh diced veggies. The hummus was creamy enough and had a nice zing of lemon. The falafel, even cold was tasty and had a nice crunchy outer shell/soft interior ratio. The barley salad was also flavorful and contained a nice amount of veggies and herbs. Not one bite was just barley. I didn't have the pita, but the triangles were decent sized and lightly toasted. It served as a good "utensil" for my dining companions. The platter was well received by all! It's kosher too, for anyone looking. They have dine in options as well as delivery."
"Delcious vegetarian restaurant. They have a easy online ordering site. Its a unique little place. I love the food, its a generous portion size and taste yummy!"
"Had takeout for the 2nd time in 3 years and def regret not being back sooner. Food quality was high and the flavors were bold and authentic. Really excellent take on Thai classics"
"What a hidden gem! This is my all time favorite Korean restaurant. The name DuBu actually translate to "tofu" so this place specializes in tofu dishes. I'm a sucker for tofu so I got so excited when I saw all these options that included tofu. Usually at Korean restaurants I either go for the spicy squid, tofu soup, or the galbi ribs. I can't believe they have the spicy squid with tofu option. That's like two of my favorite protein in one dish, of course I cannot resist! We ended up ordering the spicy squid tofu and my partner got the spicy pork kimchi tofu. I like how the sauces are different in both of the dishes. They lean towards of a sweet and savory type of sauce combo. I definitely like the squid one better. It is also not spicy which is good because we're not the best with hot spicy. Okay let's talk about the bonchon. They are unbelievably generous with the complimentary side dishes they serve. They came out with marinated short ribs, fried fish, broccoli, side salad, and kimchi! You can also ask for unlimited refills on any of the dishes and the staffs are so friendly and nonjudgmental. Although items like the salad and broccoli are kind of a strange Korean bonchon, we still enjoyed those vegetables. The short ribs were so good my partner couldn't stop talking about it. The entree portion sizes are huge! You can easily share one of those entree with two people. We ended up taking half of it to go which was the perfect amount for another meal. Some of the bonchon we didn't finish so we also packed that to go as well.Side note on the water they serve - it's infused with barley tea. That's why is has an ashy taste! (Barley tea is healthy for you and good for digestion) This place is located right next to the HMart so if you're ever shopping for your Asian grocery, this is a place you can't miss! I can't wait to go back again."
"This restaurant has 2 tables and 2 separate rolls.of seating. Really reminds you of a small vietnamese Cafe. This place was on my husband's list of food places to check-out. We were greeted and seated right away. They also have off menu specials. Ofcourse, I tried the Banh Canh cau which is a seafood tapioca noodle soup dish. This was pretty good. All of the ingredients were fresh and even the quail eggs. I really enjoyed the chewy noodles and soup broth. My husband got the bo kho with bread. He said that was good. I added goi cuon which is a summer roll (rice roll with shrimp, pork, lettuce and vermicelli noodles), I was in for a surprise with these rolls. They were huge. The sauce was phenomenal. Homemade sauce that tasted better then any other I have ever had. So you know I had to order one to go.We also got a Vietnamese hoagie to go (dac biet).Have not tried it yet but will report back.Parking is a plenty and metered outside. They close earlier then most restaurants. The plus is they also do catering. The staff were very nice and spoke English very well."
"Yummy! I had sabich & my friend had a Falafel sandwich. I was in Israel recently & this place is as good!"
"Huge selection of vegetarian food and all of it sounds amazing. I suffered severe decision paralysis. I think next time, I'll have to bring a huge group in order to try everything, because I'm sure it's all good. They've got milk teas and fruit smoothies, too, and the texture of the boba in the milk tea I got was perfect.Quick notes on the food: -get the peking duck. This is the best vegetarian version of it I've eaten, and it's really pretty good! The soft warm buns are excellent, the duck is a bit tough on the outside instead of crispy but the overall mouthfeel is like a less-greasy (healthier!) duck-the sizzling tofu was just okay. A bit too salty, a bit too sweet, but otherwise flat on flavor.-vegetarian meat shumai was mushroomy and lovelyPlenty of seating with modern casual decor. Service was friendly and pretty fast! Prices were reasonable. They prefer cash over card but they do accept it.I will definitely be back to try more! Hopefully, I'll bump this up to a five, but for my first visit, it's a very solid four."

Omnivore here. The flavors and textures are spot on. So glad to have this spot in the neighborhood. I've also heard great things about the weekend chefs selection served at the counter. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

I sampled their offerings from a food truck at a festival. Truly delicious! The Deconstructed Samosas are so good. The spice is really excellent, with fresh herbs on tops. Just right. The Falafel Sandwich is also excellent and very filling. I didn't sample the pizza but it looked beautiful and the owners were eating pieces for their own lunch! Nice people.

I'm not from Philly but every timeI visit I have to come here. Their pork belly pad kee mao is my favorite. Their pad thai and pad see ew are amazing as well. Staff here is incredible! They are always welcoming and attentive. Their cocktails and mocktails are great too. If you have a chance, be sure to check this place out!

I was in the Bala Cynwyd area and wanted a quick bite to eat so I decided to check out Nana's Kitchen. I had been wanting to check out Nana's Kitchen since it had opened up in the location of the Dairy Cafe for a bit. Similarly to the Dairy Cafe, Nana's Kitchen is a kosher restaurant and is hechshered by the Community Kashrus of Greater Philadelphia. Nana's Kitchen is a fusion of both Middle Eastern and South American cuisine. They have a bunch of breakfast items as well as lunch and dinner options. I was there during lunch time and decided to get a small pizza. I also saw they had a chocolate smoothie, which I decided to try as well. The restaurant wasn't too crowded when I was there, but it took a fairly long time to actually get my food. Eventually, my food came out and I took it to go. However, there is plenty of seating at Nana's Kitchen including a large upstairs seating area. My small pizza was nice and crispy with a crunchy crust. There was a nice ratio of sauce to cheese making a good pizza. It was nicely finished off with a bit of basil. I didn't love the chocolate smoothie because it was very sweet and didn't actually taste too much like chocolate. Altogether, Nana's Kitchen is a nice, new restaurant in Bala Cynwyd that serves a nice variety of Middle Eastern/Israeli food!

Not great - I have not been here in 10 years and it was dingy back in 2012.Please!!! You need a makeover. So dark in here - and the food was sub-par.Tom Kha Gai was delicious but the $15.95 Pineapple fried rice had only 4 pieces of canned pineapple and 3 chunks of tofu. No egg (I asked for extra).I might try again in 2032 but this is just not the best Thai food - and frankly, Thai food in Philly is not great anyway. For a better Thai meal try Heng's in Springfield.

"The food here is really delicious! I was pleasantly surprised from my first visit to now my fifth. The black bean burger, the cauliflower and chickpea tacos, the jammed yam, and the sushi bowl are all winners. I am a meat lover, but I find myself completely satisfied with any of the vegetarian meals I mentioned here. In fact, if I had to give up meat, this would be one of my go-to meal places. It's that good! Everything looks and tastes good really fresh and, I kid you not, will put a smile on your face."
"This was one of my go to spots for lunch when I was in the office. I haven't been to the office much since the pandemic and was so happy to see this business still open and thriving! Great smoothie and açai options to choose from. Everything is freshly made right in front of you. I always order the chipotle black bean burger or açai bowl. This time I went with the classic samba bowl, which is a tad bit pricey but they do give you a generous amount of fresh fruit and granola. Plus it's delicious and healthy so you can't go wrong with it.Service has always been great here. I just noticed for the first time that they have a beyond burger + smoothie combo for a great deal so I'll definitely check that out next time."
"Palm Tree market never disappoints. Today was my first time in their NoLibs location, which is about twice the size of their other markets.Ordering at the deli counter was quick and easy, and by the time I grabbed a couple snacks and headed to the register, my wrap was already ready. I love that each location offers very consistent products. The deli meats and salads are always fresh and delicious, and the employees are always friendly. You also cannot beat the snack options. I'm amazed by how much they manage to stock in these stores! Don't sleep on the cold cases, which have a nice variety of fresh fruits, veggies, cheese and other staples. The fresh cut fruit is always delicious year-round. I'm not a big fruit person but even I can get on board when Palm Tree does all the work of chopping it up for me!"
"Dined here for the first time last night and thought the food, service and ambiance were great! A small, quiet and clean restaurant with dim lighting. Majority of the people were actually dining alone. Our waitress was very kind and attentive. We picked spice level 3 for all dishes and she let us know she could always bring out extra spice if we want it hotter. We ordered the papaya salad, chicken pad Thai and tofu green curry to share. Everything was delicious!Papaya salad was nice and refreshing. Pretty presentation and a nice palette cleanser. The pad Thai was tasty, but was not the best I ever had. I'd still recommend it, but next time I will try a different noodle dish. Green curry was flavorful and a bit more liquidy than others. Great flavors and very filling.Byo spot with great prices. Highly recommend for a nice casual Thai dinner!"
"PHILADELPHIA, PA/Point Breeze: a new South Philly location of this popular restaurant, LUHV FOOD has the delicious vegan food that you have been looking for.An amazing selection of sandwiches like a reuben, bacon, egg, and cheese, cheesesteak, ch'ken parmesan, tuna salad, and so much more, along with hearty salads, soups, sides, and dessert....all at REASONABLE prices! Hey, Luhv, can we get one of your locations in New Jersey?! They even have a deli where you can buy items by the pound and Luhv's own branded products. This location allowed us to dine inside with Brie (leashed dogs allowed) and there are 2 spaces: a small downstairs area and a surprisingly big upstairs space. You can also dine at their outdoor tables. A cute spot with great food and makes the wallet happy."
"I ordered Hibiscus via Uber Eats. I wanted something fresh and healthy. I haven't eaten at this place in a while, so it was a perfect choice to get back to loving their food. They give good portions and good flavors. I ordered the super powers smoothie, garden wrap salad and salmon platter with veggies and jerk sauce. I definitely could've bought two of the super power smoothies because it was so refreshing and tasty. The super power smoothie contains, blueberries, strawberries, antioxidants, gogi berries, sea moss and rice milk. I was initially interested in ordering it because it has the added bonus of sea moss. The smoothie is a beautiful dark red or purple color and has a thick consistency. I couldn't wait to drink it from the look alone. I'm definitely thinking about getting another smoothy soon. Maybe one of their green goddess smoothies. The salad is a very simple and delicious. It has fresh crunchy lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, peppers and avocado and a side of sesame vinegarette dressing. It was wrapped in a tortilla and cut in half. The portions was enough for one hungry person. I also ordered the salmon platter option with brown rice, sautéed veggies and jerk sauce. The jerk sauce was a good flavor and little spicy. The brown rice was accompanied with brown beans and the salmon cooked well. I was given a lot of salmon, enough to share a piece with someone else. The meal was so filling I couldn't eat it all. Wish I lived closer get smoothies everyday. I've never actually went into the store. This is my first time ordering via Uber eats and the previous time someone ordered it for me. Will visit soon!"
"The Pad See Ew is one of my new favorites. I chose mild spice level and the flavor was great. Generous amount of egg and overall good portion size for the price."
"We stopped by Gleaner's Cafe for a coffee when we were exploring the South 9th Street Italian Market shopping district last Saturday. It's TINY. But also very cute. And the service was great! Very charming - check it out if you need a coffee in the area! FYI - It's cash only!"
"I enjoyed the healthy green shake freebie and had to readjust my work lunch hour just so I could get it. I also saw a buffalo chicken cheesesteak special and don't stop by this particular place often enough. So I picked that up too and it was delicious! I was surprised that it wasn't actually a cheesesteak. Cheesy gooeyness, enough "meat", and the bread didn't stick out for me but it is bread and it is fine I think. It could be Merzbacher's for all I know lol. Staff is friendly and environment is an average size but nothing sticks out for me about it. Overall, I still like your nearby "nemesis" PLNT burger more. I also didn't have a chance to ask your store to consider offering TooGoodToGo like PLNT does. You can't go wrong with choosing Hip City for your fast food vegan needs."
"A unique and mission-based addition to Main St that serves zero proof drinks (that taste real though) and vegan food. We came here to throw our friend a little sprinkle, which was perfect so we could enjoy some specialty drinks altogether. As someone who enjoys cocktails and eats meat, I still had an enjoyable experience, especially with the kind service. The one con we experienced was the cleanliness - our table was sticky upon arrival and many of our water glasses had to be returned due to being dirty."
"I don't take 5 stars lightly, but this place left me with a (grind)CORE memory. I didn't see the sign outside that said "All Vegan" and from the food you wouldn't even be able to tell it was! I got a latte here with non-dairy milk (of course) which didn't cost extra (in this economy??) which was really good. I got the basic sandwich which was tofu on a Philadelphia roll. I'm not sure what sauce or cheese or seasoning they use, but it was amazing! Seriously may call them for the recipe. Everything was super reasonably priced (especially for it being vegan). There are a few high chairs at the front, but wouldn't bring a laptop or sit-down work. They have a bathroom in the back which was small, but clean. The baristas were really nice and very hip. Overall, this place is on the GRIND and it's definitely working for them. Will definitely be going back!"
"Small coffee shop on Girard with vegetarian and vegan options. Tried the egg breakfast sandwich on a bagel, which was something different, but the flavor was alright. Americano and coffee is standard, and the matcha latte here is a good flavor. They also have other muffins, breads and treats to go with your coffee."
"This place is so incredibly interesting....and delish! Jamaican influenced vegan soul food? Count me in! Stopped by for a takeout lunch while I was in the area. I may make a habit of being close by more often after tasting what Nile has to offer!I walked through tons of lush greenery after I entered the open yet welcoming, uber casual space. Half of it is designated for various items for sale including oils, clothing and percussion instruments. What a nice surprise it was to be treated to a drumming sesh while waiting for my food to be served up. Awesome! There's a pretty small menu and platter deals such as 1 main and two sides or 1 main and three sides and so on. I went with the first option. Torn between the BBQ "chicken" and the Jerk "chicken", the kind gentleman who has been vegan since 1980 and provided amazing conversation steered me towards the jerk. It was amazing!! Full of flavor, a hint of spice and an awesome meaty texture!! Definitely give it a try! *They offer both wheat and soy proteins and list them clearly on the menu board for anyone curious. I was originally a tad disappointment they were out of cornbread as a side option later in the afternoon by the time I visited. Because hello, vegan cornbread! I went for brown rice and collard greens instead. Boy was I wrong thinking the brown rice would be a boring side. It was topped it with the most insanely flavorful gravy!!! Wow! The collards were perfect as well! Intrigued by everything this gem had to offer, I took some chickpea salad, black bean soup and snickerdoodle cake to go also. I just wanted to taste it all! The chickpea salad was an awesome pure protein substitute for a potato salad, but had the same consistency and a similar taste. It was filled with diced crunchy veggies too! The black bean soup had a little heat to it and was filled with big chunky stewed veggies. Delish! The girls gobbled up the cake. It was a nice thick slice and was moist. The vanilla frosting was super creamy and it was drizzled in a delicious sweet, sticky caramel like sauce. Yes, I had a taste! I HAD to! My girls did mention the icing tasted like butter. After tasting I will have to agree while it is delicious, if you're used to the vegan butter Earth Balance, you may just say the same. I don't know for sure that's what they used but I would be extremely surprised if they didn't. All and all, it was an awesome first visit and I look forward to many more! From great convo and hanging out with "my people", to incredibly tasty food, and free entertainment too...there wasn't much not to love from this simple pay at the counter joint with some funky flare. There was an awesome sense of community here and I love being around other people with such a love and passion for animals and Mother Earth. It's a definitely a feel good kind of place vibrating with pure positivity. *They use all filtered water for their cooking and have a filling station. If you have bottles, bring 'em. **Check out the table with flyers for local business and events!*** There's a small parking lot in the back with no line markers, but it's safe to park there, or so I was told by the staff at the restaurant. I had no issues."
"Great service and nice music! The impossible tacos were really good. Wish the tortilla was toasted. The sweet plantains were very good loved the garlic aioli sauce it came with. Interesting that they had salt gave it nice taste. Corn was okay, didn't love the loaded yuka "cheese" not my favorite. Our waitress was really nice!"
"Got take-out here recently with my wife and daughter on a quick one-night stop in Philly. Great meal and exactly what fast-casual should be: reliable (we were a bit lost in a new city; many nearby restaurants were a bit dodgy), large portions (we ate leftovers for two days), and not too pricey. My wife and I each got a chicken shawarma bowl, which were yummy and huge; we easily could have just shared one. Tons of chicken and rice, plus they really loaded up the toppings for us, so we ended up having a good amount of vegetation. We got chicken fingers and fries for my toddler, which was also huge and very satisfying for her. Service at this location was very helpful (we hadn't been to a Pita Chip before)."
"I'm typically skeptical of restaurants that claim to specialize in both sushi and some other type of cuisine. I have to admit though that Otaka was pleasantly surprising. I had the Ichi Spicy Ramen and it was fantastic. The noodles had just the right amount of firmness, the broth was flavorful but not overly salty, and the pork was tender and tasty. I also had an eel and avocado roll because I had to know if Otaka could truly be good at both sushi and ramen. Turns out they are! The service was also great. Very helpful and people seemed genuinely happy to be there. I'm so glad they decided to open in Newtown Square. I'm definitely looking forward to going back."
"Vedge has some of the most flavorful and unique vegan and vegetarian dishes I've had. I recently went with a group of my friends, and we had a family style and tried every dish on the menu. My personal favorites were the Smoked Portobello Carpaccio (very fresh and light), Spicy Dan Dan Noodles (definitely does have a kick so be prepared), and the Brassicas Hot Pot with Charred Caullini & Broccoli (the pho broth was so good). The service was professional and our server had great conversation. The old mansion is charming and a great date night place. The prices are on the higher end, so be prepared. Would definitely love to come back again."
"Duke's Cafe is located in the office building at 100 Witmer Avenue, and is easy to miss without road nor large building signs anywhere in sight. Still, it is worth exploring until found because you are in for a treat for breakfast or lunch If you do. This Black woman owned/operated kitchen caters primarily the tenants in the four story edifice, but were certainly happy to see an outsider there to check them out. I parked in the ample back parking lot and then walked the first floor halls until I found Duke's at the far left (east) of the building. The space was clean with oldie soul music filling the room. I scanned in to order from my phone, but also could have just placed my order directly with Rai, the owner's niece who was a one person show this day. I ordered Cloud 9, a combination of a french toast sandwich filled with spicy sausage links, eggs, cheese and tasty sauce. With side cup of breakfast syrup, it was almost more than I could eat, but delicious all the way down. The cross section of textures and flavors made it both unusual and unexpectedly delectable. Half would have been enough for me, but I just couldn't leave anything behind or in a doggy bag when it was awesome right off the grill, and I had watched Rai prepare everything from scratch. Well worth the morning cruise from home to try Duke's, even at 30 minutes. I'm told there is a second Cafe not far from this joint - definitely a credit to their work ethic and culinary success. Will track it down as soon as possible."
"Really fun! Nice staff, friendly service and excellent variety of happy hour specials! They've outside seating, the lemon drops were fantastic, and we both enjoyed the jerk chicken quesadillas. Go there you'll have fun!"
"As I'm new to the West Chester area, I was interested in finding a good Indian restaurant around here. This one was about ten minutes away in Malvern and looked like it had a good selection. I picked up dinner to-go for 3 people. We ordered:-Vegetable Samosas x2: These were a good size, cooked well, and had a great filing. Two pieces per order, so we got two orders.-Paneer Tikka Masala: Sauce was great, but there was not a lot of paneer for an entree.-Channa Masala: Really nicely spiced, and a good portion size.-Chicken Makhani: Again a delicious sauce, but the amount of chicken was lacking.-Garlic Naan x2: Delicious! Warm and fluffy with an intoxicating garlic smell that almost made me rip into the bag on the way home. Definitely recommend getting two orders for 3 people. We received three nice containers of rice on the side.Next time I'd like to try their Kati rolls as the pictures look mouth-watering!Service was friendly and food was ready on-time.Overall I thought everything had good flavors and the quality was good. However, I felt the portion sizes for the entrees were not up to par. We each got a few pieces of chicken and paneer and then were left with an abundance of sauce. And extra sauce is great! But for the amount of food we ordered I expected to have more protein in the entrees (especially the paneer) and be a little fuller by the end of the meal. If you want to order here I think you will enjoy the food - maybe just order a little extra!"
"My go-to spot for Chinese delivery. I love their shrimp fried rice and chicken lo mein. So tasty! Always very quick and friendly delivery. I'm about to order again right now..."
