Green Salad - $5.00Mixed greens, cherry tomato, cucumber, bell pepper, carrot, house-made ginger dressing8.7/10: Basic but hard to mess up. The ginger dressing was delectable, though I wish it was larger. Miso Soup $3.007.2/10: Good, but nothing groundbreaking. Veggie Gyoza 8.4/10: Italian-esque with a radish garnish for texture. Filling was tasty but almost too mushy. Umeshiso Kappa Roll (6 pcs) - $5.00Plum paste, oba, cucumber 4/10: Good but a bit boring. Straw-Veggie Roll (8 pcs) - $12.00Oshinko, kanpyo, shibazuke, avocado, topped with strawberry 8.3/10: Delightful blend of flavors with a sweet twist! Veggie on Fire Roll (8 pcs) - $12.00Cucumber, avocado, fried onion, topped with spicy zucchini sauce 8.9/10: A fiery flavor explosion! Mayu Tonkotsu RamenPork broth w/ charred garlic oil, pork belly chashu, nitamago, bamboo shoot, black fungus, red ginger, scallion 8.8/10: Loved all the elements; the garlic oil with the spice was a nice touch. Really did not like it. There are way better spots in the city so we won't be returning. I have so many favorites but kept seeing this place on social media and wanted to give it a try. We ordered take out and they didn't give us 2 sets of chopsticks, no napkins, no spicy mayo, and not enough soy sauce. Here's what we got...Toro Roll - 5/10 - the cilantro was way over powering (and I like cilantro). the rolls weren't fully cut through and ended up just falling apart. Wouldn't recommend. Margarita Roll - 4/10- the lime was soo tart / sour. Again, really didnt like this one and wouldn't recommendShrimp on Fire - 7/10 - this was good. Nothing specialSpicy Salmon - 6/10 - pretty good. Honestly feel like the fish didn't taste that freshPros - quick service and easy ordering/pick up.Overall, I think you can get better sushi anywhere else. Maybe other rolls would be different but these flavors were really just not it. My husband said he's had better sushi at Wegmans unfortunately, it was a miss for us and we won't be returning

A cute small restaurant with incredible service, despite being so busy. Really yummy and fresh sushi! Generous portions too, and very affordable. The Philly special was warm, and I loved the artichoke with cream cheese and broiled salmon combination!! The flavors melted in my mouth! The rainbow roll was also delicious and very fresh. It was packed on a Thursday night, so def make resy!

Tucked away in the heart of the Old City, Tomo is a neighborhood gem that offers modestly-priced mostly sushi-based options including the usual American-style rolls to more authentic Japanese-style nigiri sushi, sashimi, and maki, ramen, bowls, and a few desserts. Service was prompt and efficient, and the fish was of good quality, especially for the price. The BYOB enabled us to enjoy our beverages at low cost; a nearby deli sells beer. This is a great perch from which to watch the local hipsters do their thing. We'll be back!

This sushi restaurant seems to be known for offering an extensive vegan menu of rolls, poke, and ramen, but their regular sushi is also phenomenal. The place is very tastefully decorated and service was fast and thoughtful. Would definitely come back again!

Ordered for take out, the food was great! There was a piece of bone in one of our sushi pieces (in the Aka-Yuki roll) which cost this review the 5th star. Other than that, very tasty and would definitely order again!

Went here for the first time last Friday, my friends have been here 10 times in the past 3 months and recommended it.The chefs are incredible, every sushi piece melted in my mouth and was so fresh.Their spicy crab salad is awesome and a must-try for apps, along with their pork gyoza which was The service is impeccable too, we had 2 servers and both were just so nice, attentive, and helpful with menu options. The owner Andy comes in nightly and knows so many of the guests, he dropped off a special Toro nigiri app for us on the house, which made this entire experience even more special. Would highly recommended for any celebration, date night or just a night out with friends. Fills up fast on weekends so def make a reservation!

All right! This one ranks pretty high as far as I'm concerned! If repeat business is the name of the game, then they had me at BYOB! For starters, the service was amazing. After being seated the server attended to us almost immediately. She opened our wine, made some great suggestions, took our order and was off to the races. Now, sushi doesn't take long to prep, but there's typically some waiting; our food was out in no time. Starting with the signature Tomo Roll with Spicy tuna, avocado, cilantro, topped with seared tuna & sweet miso sauce. The flavor profiles were simply amazing and the slight, subtle, smokey flavor of the tuna put this one over the top! If it wasn't for the Ramen on its way, I would have order three more of these...but, I know I am going back so I digress.Next came the Ramen. I ordered the Mayu Tonkotsu Ramen...with the pork broth w/ charred garlic oil: OMG! The smoke, again, with the garlic oil...so, so delicious. Everything was prepared just right. The egg was a bit different than usual and had a strange color to it, creating a creamy, sweetness. I loved it, my wife did not, she wanted the more traditional egg; nevertheless, she also loved her ramen, which was the Vegetarian Shoyu Ramen, which is soy based and for a veggie dish, absolutely amazing. I put the whole bowel of ramen into my full, round belly and even helped my wife finish her's. Outstanding and worthy of a second visit. The restaurant is intimate, but still practical to the point you can bring a large party and sit along with wall. If you are a fan of sushi and ramen and you haven't been to Tomo, you are definitely missing out. Go! Now!

I'd always wanted to try vegetarian sushi, so when a friend suggested meeting for dinner at Tomo, I jumped at the chance... and it was delicious!First, I arrived at 4p for an early reservation, but my friend got caught at work and wound up an hour late. I'm sure the staff wasn't thrilled that we were there so long, but they never pressured me or rushed us. I really appreciated that they were kind and gracious throughout our visit. Now, for the sushi --- we loved all of the rolls we tried from their extensive list of vegetarian (and non vegetarian) options. The Harvest was my favorite, which had mushrooms and sweet potato with a bit of coconut. The Vegan Red Dragon was also delicious --- the vegan tuna was flavorful and had a great texture, and the eggplant "eel" was yummy too. We also got the Midori roll stuffed with picked vegetables that I enjoyed. The restaurant is BYOB and is fairly small, so plan accordingly!
