Very Tasty. Very Tasty Indeed. Just stopped by this place to grab lunch with my coworker after passing it a few times on my way to the post office. I ordered a small jerk chicken platter with rice and greens with a beef patty on the side for $10. The greens were very good with just enough seasoning. The rice was tasty as well but certainly needed the sauce on it. The jerk was also very good too. It was a bit more dry then I would have liked so definitely make sure you go heavy on the sauce. The employee working at the counter was very nice and the portion size was great for the price. Overall this was a good experience and I'll certainly consider this place for takeout again.

I was hoping to find me new favorite spot for Jamaican/Caribbean cuisines in the NE Philly area. As I walk in and stop by the counter looking at the menu, one of the cashier lady pointed to the two girls standing at the corner and say they were next. I'm like o....k, I wasn't ordering, I just want to see what's on your menu. Not trying to bust in line or anything. When I finally decided what to get, the lady at the counter had this weird aura as if I was a ALIEN of some sort? I get it, seeing a Asian girl in a predominantly African/Jamaican community is a weird sighting. I want to try their orange and pineapple juices but she pointed to the fridge without saying anything. So I ask is that all they carry, then she says yes. Could have just say I'm sorry, it is sold-out! I want coconut corn bread. she says she don't have it. I just want to try some of their foods. so I proceeded ordering a medium jerk chicken platter with rice and peas and cabbage and Over DiTop Chicken. Maybe she had a sudden guilt of some sort, because she says I can get a third side. I chose Mac and cheese, and she says it will cost extra and I told her is fine. When I get home, the Mac and Cheese is missing. I try calling twice to the restaurant, not one single call were picked up. Over di top chicken were bland, Popeyes got more flavor than theirs. The Jerk Chicken platter was actually decent and delicious. Some pieces of the meat were on the drier side but with the sauce, it is edible.

he portions were pretty good for the price! The oxtails were good and the fried chicken looked amazing! The rice and peas were horrible... The dinning room was very cute! No menus the counter person told us to google the restaurant for a menu. The juices and banana pudding are good but they are not made in house.

This place is absolutely fire. I dont know why its taken me so long to find it. Ive ordered two days in a row at this point. Yesterday was the granny stew chicken. Today is jerk and curry. The yams are addicting. The food is cooked so well, such full platters for the price. I do warn that it takes about an hour, even with priority delivery, on uber eats. It is so worth it though. I do think the mac was subpar, and they are terrible when it comes to answering the phone. (I tried to call just to compliment them and couldnt get through.) None of that matters when it comes to this food though. I plan on ordering here at least 3 times a week. Lol. Fire.

I just want to start by saying I actually really love this restaurant and have been eating their food for years. As of lately, I have had issues when ordering via uber eats. It appears that when this restaurant does not have the side orders you want they will substitute your side for another side without advising or informing you. This has happened to me twice and I allowed the first time to occur but am a bit frustrated this time around as I truly was anticipating my side order of mac & cheese to the point that I actually ordered two orders and instead received two orders of yams which I do not even eat. Again, I really do enjoy this restaurant, the in person service, and the food but I refuse to ever order Uber Eats from here again as the order always appears altered and is not what I actually order. As a message for the restaurant I feel as though you should notify your customers if you run out of sides. Its a restaurant and it happens but it would be of great consideration and courtesy if you were to advise customers versus substituting their orders with what you think they want or with what you feel would suffice as an appropriate side order. I was able to speak to the owner about my experience and found the owner willing to listen. I had a complaint and without hesitation it was fixed. That is deserving of a 5 star. The food is really good @ Rising Sun Ave haven't been to Broad St. Talk to the owner.
