"I have been trying to check this place out for some time! The hours appear irregular and it's difficult to reach anyone by telephone..it rings and rings--no answer! Finally, a breakthrough and we decided to order online and that got the ball rolling!Pickup was smooth and once we got the food home...it was All Good!Turkey WingsYamsPotato SaladAll Legit! This is definitely some good soul food! I didn't take pics of the fried chicken; Mac and cheese and green beans..they were cool too!I would like to say I would try again..but kinda hit or miss...I like to feel if I am going to make a new business apart of my favs--they gotta have some consistency!Come on y'all...take a min and make a few changes..this can be a 4-5 star place...No Doubt!"
"Upon arrival, the reservation/seating situation was a little confusing, but eventually we were able to sit, and were helped right away. The food was really good... I had the Corporate Thuggin AKA fish shrimp and grits. Compliments to the chef cause it was immaculate! I'd suggest a better speaker system for the DJ cause it was kinda hard to hear anyone while talking or trying to order your food. Outside of that, our server or the one that eventually stayed with us for the remainder of our time was great, s/o to her! I'd return for this meal."
Pan seared salmon topped with Cajun cream sauce 1 piece shrimp. Served with creamy mash and sauteed spinach.

Visit Restaurant Page"While in Philly / NJ I wanted to support as many soul food establishments as I could. While the offerings here weren't my style, I could tell that the business is a valuable asset in the area and the owner is working hard. As a single female traveler, I can say don't be intimidated or hesitate about the area. Just park on the main drag, plug the meter, and walk over. It's a busy part of Olney shared by a diverse range of Hoomans."
"I ordered my food before I read these reviews so I was nervous. A lot of the reviews were bad. I haven't had Vernie's in quite a few years so I was hoping the quality of the food hadn't changed. The turkey wings were tender and seasoned well. The yams were ok. They just needed a little more brown sugar and the potato salad was tasty. I'll order again."
"I've been here three times because I love the food! Lol video came across my TikTok while I was a work and I got off early just to head to Philly! On my first visit I got jerk chicken wings, Mac, yams and my daughter got shrimp(which is $1 per shrimp on Thursday) with Mac & cheese. Second visit I got a burger (which is $10 on Friday's btw) with fries, and my daughter got the shrimp again lol I also bought my mom down who got two platters! Third visit I literally just left there lol I got salmon, greens and seafood salad! I really love this place and will continue to support!! The owner is named Shakar, customer service is always awesome!"
"Okay, I went 1:30PM and got 3 pieces Whiting fish and 3 fried chicken Wings w/ two sides macaroni and cheese, potatoe salad and cornbread. It must have been good because I went back at 7:45PM and got the Whiting Fish and Catfish with sweet potatoes, greens and cornbread.Yes, if I went out and bought this and brought it home and you ate it you would not think this was not a black man, he is Chinese."
"So this place is amazing! I had the fish nuggets, Mac n cheese and string beans! I also had the pineapple upside down cake and bought a bean pie for good measure! Everything was good!! Everything! Here's the thing though, it isn't a restaurant. It's like a stop in and pickup spot! Probably cuts down the overhead for the owner but you just order and grab food and leave. It is really cold, so wear a jacket... and they have great veggie and vegan options from cheese to non-meat options of the meals they serve! It's pretty awesome, no pork products whatsoever so that's a plus too! I'll definitely return! Pretty good soul food and the staff is super friendly!!"
"Very clean, bright and beautiful restaurant. The food was spectacular. The ladies that work here are so lovely if you're looking for authentic Caribbean food this is the place to be. Love love love the food. Licked all 10 fingers."
"To my mind, this is the only valid soul food place in Philly... and it's in Jersey. But I tried and tried and tried to find someplace in the city and nothing met the standards. So over the bridge I had to go. Corinne's is basically a "meat and two" type place. All of the mains that I've had have been great, except for the salmon croquettes, which were just okay. All of the sides are delicious. Standouts include the greens, yams, and mac. Cornbread used to be included, but now it's an add on (maybe $1.50). The cake slices are most definitely made from box mix, but they put that jello pudding in there, so they're moist and delicious. The peach cobbler is just alright. Closed on Mondays. And closed a little to early almost every day. Definitely call before you come if you're taking out -- the wait can be up to 45 minutes if they're busy."
"Tried this place on a whim with a gf and we were very pleased. The woman at the counter was helpful and answered all of our questions. The food was also very tasty and there was no wait. I ordered the fried chicken, mac and cheese, greens and cornbread. The fried chicken was really good, nice and crispy like I like it, the mac and cheese was just alright, and surprisingly the greens tasted great ! They were very well seasoned and that can be a hit or miss with most places. The cornbread was also delicious too. Overall the food was very reasonably priced and tasty. I'll definitely be back."
"So far I've ordered chicken wings thai wings butter roll & yams 5stars, fried tilapia & shrimp fried rice 4stars (they dont give u whole shrimp but cut them n half. Baked mac is 3stars. I've been there few times & only once was mac good. Every since then noodles boiled too long & cheap cheese I'm guessing bc it doesn't stick to noodles or maybe its too much butter idk. If they tighten up on wait time & professionalism they could be a better establishment. Called last night at 9pm was told they no longer are taking phone orders so we have to come on place order & wait which the wait time is 20-30min no joke. That annoyed me bc I live about half hour w/traffic drive away. Black businesses never make it bc they are so damn ghetto. Girl taking ur order on her cell phone. Talking to other ppl bout stuff that can wait till customers are goneSunday night they close at 10 but are turning ppl away at 945 complaining about how its time to go home. Thats unprofessional & no customer needs to hear ur complains"
"Quiet possibly the best kept secret in West Philly. When I became a pescatarian I thought I'd never eat anything else that came close to the delicious taste of a cheese steak, but I was wrong. The salmon cheesesteak here is next level. The bread is always delicious, although you never know if you're going to get wheat or white bread. There is also a special sauce that they add in that really sets the whole sandwich off to another level. I can also vouch for the Mac and cheese. It's super cheesy and very well done. There's also always a bit of a crispy layer of cheese on top which is a sure fire sign that you're getting authentic baked Mac and cheese. I honestly can't vouch for anything else on the menu because I've ordered from here about ten times and I only get the salmon-cheesesteak and Mac and cheese. But if those dishes are any indication of the rest of the menu, then you won't be disappointed. Enjoy!"

3 stars for the shrimp and fish. Here's my experience...I had to go to Philly Airport, and the incoming flight was delayed, so I do a search for soul food and find them 11 minutes away. I'm out.... off to a mouth-watering drive. I arrive at a sign on the door that tells me to knock. So I knock... and can see the activity inside and a woman approaches to say you have to call to take your order, and they will bring it to the car, huh? She could have taken the order or given us a menu to circle what we wanted. So now, I have to go back online to look at the menu again. Eating inside was not an option. We call and are literally staring at three women inside, while the phone is ringing and no one is answering it. Maybe they were all tending to the invisible customers. (We're being punked, for sure.) Finally, another lady standing at the register answers the phone. I'm going to get my favorite staple items to check them out. Collard greens, mac n cheese, fish n corn bread. My sister ordered the cabbage, shrimp and fish, and we ordered the chicken wings along with the small side of potato salad for mom's landing. $80 bill. I was so sad when I saw the portions, especially for the price. But I'm so glad that our hunger didn't make us too greedy to over order. The greens were saturated in vinegar, and so was the cabbage... There was no taste of anything but tart. The potato salad even had a vinegar taste and needed some flavors. They have a special touch of putting a piece of white bread under the dry fish, which was crispy, so I will give them that. The Mac n cheese was it baked or just velveeta.. I still don't know. I was sooooo disappointed. The cornbread was good but dry, like it was a day or two old. Welp, this visit killed time, which was the ultimate goal. Do I recommend it?...uhhhhh, not for the sides. The butterfly shrimp however, was really good!

This place brought me back to Yelp after a review hiatus. Child...this place got some nerve lmao. Me and some friends met in Philly for dinner because this place came highly recommended. Our reservation was Saturday evening and it was completely empty, so I'm thinking ..bet..we about to get amazing service and great food since it's just us. WRONG!1. The waiter took forever to come to the table and didn't feel any kind of way bout it. 2. Drink prices were absolutely insane for the type of restaurant, $22 for a "Long Island" and the waiter admitted they use rail. He also said none of the towers were available because he didn't know how to make them. I opted for a gin & tonic and they didn't have that or club soda. 3. Majority of the menu was not available. No oxtail or ingredients for the egg roll particularly. 4. I asked for the manager who was not present and the waiter said he was in charge. I asked him to compensate for the lackluster experience by requesting a round of free shots for the table and he said no lmao. No apology. No free appetizers. Straight carried 5. A Caesar salad has romaine lettuce, they brought it out with iceberg lettuce and tomatoes with dressing on the side. This place only has two stars from me because my food was pretty good. Took forever to come out, but good. The dinner rolls were amazing. Mac and cheese wasn't bad, just too much pepper. The rest of the staff was amicable and they even changed the music for us. I would not come back here because they lack professionalism and organization. I can't imagine how it is on a busy day. People must be use to mediocre service and lack of options because there is absolutely no way this business can remain successful operating like that.

I wanted a fried fish platter so looked in yelp and decided to gove this place a try.I called in and ordered a whiting platter with mac and yams. The lady on the phone asked if I wanted a small or large. I asked what the difference was in the sizes and the difference in price and she said it comes with 2 sides. She said the platter was $10 so I just ordered it not caring about the size.I asked how long she said 25 minutes. I arrived about 30 minutes just to give them more time. I advised the young lady I was there to pick up my food she asked for a number. I said I was not given a number but I ordered a fish platter and was told 25 minutes. She said she didnt have an order. As I was about to walk out a gentleman who I assume was the owner asked what was going on at which time the young lady noticed another employee wrote down the order and left. He immediately apologized and advised he could have the platter ready within 5 minutes. He also offered me a free drink which is not much but it shows the value me as a customer. Now to the food...AWESOME!!!! Fish fried perfect, yams and mac great and the cornbread was delicious too! Had the owner not been there I would have never had the chance to taste this awesome food.Good customer service makes a difference!!!

I had to stop mid way and rate this place. So good! Every time I get a chance to come to Philly, I get this plate (Turkey wings, mashed potatoes, green beans with a side of Mac and Cheese). It really makes you do the happy dance while you're eating. 10 stars!!

If I didn't live so far & my work schedule allowed me to travel during business hours, I'd eat here everyday! This is a newer soul food spot but it is definitely underrated. I usually get the jerk wings, Mac (literally tastes straight out of my oven), & string beans. I've had a few other things on the menu and they've been all hits, no misses. I've heard their brunch is phenomenal as well but again, I can never make it because of the distance. I've been eating here since they opened. I don't understand how some others are giving such poor ratings, maybe I'd suggest coming earlier in the day for the best service and not during closing time.

Soul food restaurant in south Philly that's actually pretty good! It seems to be a small family business but for a business their size, they're quite speedy with their orders. Their prices are pretty reasonable too, and value is what's important. In terms of the food oh my gosh it's awesome! Stumbled upon this place right after I moved to Philly and was quite positively surprised!! Would recommend the white fish -- it's so well done and well seasoned. Order about 15 minutes before you go and you're solid

I have been meaning to post a review on this establishment for some time now. The delay is attributed to the fact that the food would smell and look so good that I would forget to take pictures. Shon has an awesome establishment that provides the best of both worlds, catering to vegan and non-vegan. I have previously ordered the vegan salmon with vegan mac and cheese as well as the fried vegan shrimp with bang bang sauce, which was great! I have also tried the vegan party wings and the vegan chicken po boy. Today, I ordered 3 vegan shrimp tacos on a soft shell along with 3 vegan ground beef tacos with the toppings on the side. I also ordered the vegan chix steak and had the pleasure of trying the navy been soup . Shon has mastered versatility in regards to her range of dishes. This establishment provides large portions and is full of amazing flavors while also being cost effective. In addition to the food, the positive energy keeps making you want to come back!

I love the food, and the lady was nice to my daughter! She even let me try the cabbage which I loved.
Visit Restaurant Page"2nd time patronizing this store for some reason it did not taste the same , I bought the clam chowder this time , kind of disappointed , it didn't really taste that great , too thick and not seasoned good , but I always enjoy the pita bread that comes with it . The colossal shrimp are so good and the veggies are done right , not soggy but the sauce tasted , like tomatoes to me , was not a old bay seafood type of buttery goodness this time . They messed my order up this time and forgot items I had paid for , didn't realize till I received it at home , they did give me a refund , store is small only at the window with stools type seating . . Otherwise it's a good reasonable place to grab seafood and the quality is awesome"
"I was in the mood for this food today. The great Yelp reviews brought me here. Look, I'm not going to say that I'm an expert on soul food. I've had my share in my life. But I won't tell you what makes this better than others. I'm not that qualified. But the bottom line is this. As I ate it, I felt like I was eating something special made with love. I'd drive back here just for the whiting fish and mac and cheese alone. The wings had the perfect crisp. Just look at the food on my plate in this picture. Then drove yourself into Yeadon right by the Septa station and get yourself some of this. Don't argue with me. Just do it!"
"I gotta say, I really liked the food from this place. It was served at an event I attended, so I didn't actually visit their restaurant, also why there are no pictures to accompany this review. Victoria's provided pastries and (I believe?) the coffee in the morning and lunch in the afternoon. Had a piece of the chocolate muffin which was so yummy! I don't usually eat muffins but this was really tasty. The chocolate chips they used were some kind of milky smooth or something, idk, but definitely left an impression. An 8 on the yum factor. I had their fish for dinner and the batter they use, they way they cook, the meat was delicious-- no sauce needed-- and moist. A very enjoyable meal. I feel like theirs is the type of cooking that's delicious coz it's made with love, you know? Also learned that they are a local, small, woman-owned business, which made me super happy-- I''m proud to have been part of something that supports the community and helps women-owned businesses to be successful."
"I tried this place off of TooGoodToGo since it wasn't too far off the beaten the track for me and the timing fit my schedule. I wouldn't typically walk into a place so local but not my neighborhood but it certainly doesn't mean that I shouldn't. Thank god for online reviews I can read and/or a modern, relevant, sustainable app. I can go in w a more open mind or take a chance on a places that might not normally get my attention because I am not in that particular neighborhood or with local, homey places, it can be hit or miss. This was definitely a hit for me. What I randomly got today is just like their background pic on the TooGoodToGo app. The fried catfish? might've been a tad salty, but not overly so. Staff is friendly but I definitely stuck out as a nerd. You know just by me entering the restaurant that I am either not local to the neighborhood or I just moved in. This neighborhood has become more diverse, but does Deborah's get the chance it deserves from its own residents' diversity rather than just on cliques or niches? My random platter is a typical soul food offering and I somehow just "know" even though I am by no means an expert on soul food. This classic meal was also well done. I would go back."
"A friend of mine was having a evening brunch party which I thought was interesting because I never had evening brunch. First thing I noticed when I walked up to the place is that it felt like an event space that was operating as a brunch space in the daytime which was kind of cool. I walked in and they were decorations a DJ lots of lights that were dim and food everywhere! It felt a little compact in there because there were a bunch of people but I'm sure on a regular day there's plenty of space. I would never have noticed this space in the daytime because there are so many little businesses packed on that little block. What's surprise me the most was the strawberry shortcake French toast which was completely amazing. The chicken and waffles was also good. Everything was family style that day so I got to try a little bit of everything but only took pictures of what I actually tried. I'm glad my friend had a party here and put this place on my radar because if I'm in the area again, it'll be the first place I think of in terms of getting breakfast or brunch. I definitely left stuffed and happy!"
"The fish fried rice from Garden of Bilal is legendary in these Uptown streets. They had a location that closed on Wadsworth Ave., so I'm happy they brought it back. Ion care whose name is on the awning..LOL. The review from JL Jupiter is worth ALL the hype: https://youtu.be/op00zFJ5-70?si=fsYfFYXsZUdN63DS"
"I could not Wait to try this new restaurant. Everyone that worked there was really nice from the greeters to the waiters. The decor is really cute and they even sell some apparel in the front of the restaurant. This location is BYOB but the sweet tea was so good that I did not miss any alcohol! I ordered the fried chicken wings that came with 2 sides ( I selected Mac n cheese, collard greens). I ordered an additional yams, cornbread dressing, and cornbread. Everything was really good! I was too full to try any dessert. I will definitely be back and looking forward to trying the peach cobbler hand pies."
"Love the servers and the drinks. Love this spot because it's an older crowd and it's safe. Food is good. Always a party."
"The quantity of food for the price was nice but the variety is eh. Staff is friendly. One could tell I was not local to this neighborhood based on my casual clothes if not also how I looked. So when I showed up with this order, you know that I must be a hard core TooGoodToGo person. The chicken here is respectable but nothing special. I suspect the same w the Mac. This is good for simpler meals for reasonable prices."
"I'm so happy that I stumbled on this place randomly while running an errand in the area! Ordered over the phone a 4 wing combo with Mac and cheese and broccoli and everything was excellent! Wings were seasoned well and fried to perfection, the Mac was really flavorful and the broccoli was cooked well (not mushy) with a nice garlicky/butter sauce on top. The food was presented well and came with a piece of cornbread that was moist with a nice outside crust. It is a takeout spot with counters and high chairs around the perimeter to sit at while you wait. Parking can be tight on the street but I was able to find a spot just around the corner. Will definitely be back if I'm in the mood for some good soul food!!"
"Everyone was really nice here....expect to wait but there's not really any seating. It's basically take out platters and desserts. I got a veggie platter this time with mac and cheese, yams, greens and potato salad. Every bite was amazing and I can't wait to go back for an entree! It was very affordable as well, they give so much food for their price. All around great experience."
"Not sure why they have such a low rating, I was surprised by how late they were open and honestly really enjoyed my order of shrimp and fries. Only slight complaint was the saltiness could have been a little bit lower for my taste buds. That being said the shrimp were huge, nicely fried and came with a tasty dipping sauce. The fries were exactly what I was craving, plus they were seasoned. Hopefully the quality holds up next time I order as well, will definitely be trying other items on the menu."
"This place is so incredibly interesting....and delish! Jamaican influenced vegan soul food? Count me in! Stopped by for a takeout lunch while I was in the area. I may make a habit of being close by more often after tasting what Nile has to offer!I walked through tons of lush greenery after I entered the open yet welcoming, uber casual space. Half of it is designated for various items for sale including oils, clothing and percussion instruments. What a nice surprise it was to be treated to a drumming sesh while waiting for my food to be served up. Awesome! There's a pretty small menu and platter deals such as 1 main and two sides or 1 main and three sides and so on. I went with the first option. Torn between the BBQ "chicken" and the Jerk "chicken", the kind gentleman who has been vegan since 1980 and provided amazing conversation steered me towards the jerk. It was amazing!! Full of flavor, a hint of spice and an awesome meaty texture!! Definitely give it a try! *They offer both wheat and soy proteins and list them clearly on the menu board for anyone curious. I was originally a tad disappointment they were out of cornbread as a side option later in the afternoon by the time I visited. Because hello, vegan cornbread! I went for brown rice and collard greens instead. Boy was I wrong thinking the brown rice would be a boring side. It was topped it with the most insanely flavorful gravy!!! Wow! The collards were perfect as well! Intrigued by everything this gem had to offer, I took some chickpea salad, black bean soup and snickerdoodle cake to go also. I just wanted to taste it all! The chickpea salad was an awesome pure protein substitute for a potato salad, but had the same consistency and a similar taste. It was filled with diced crunchy veggies too! The black bean soup had a little heat to it and was filled with big chunky stewed veggies. Delish! The girls gobbled up the cake. It was a nice thick slice and was moist. The vanilla frosting was super creamy and it was drizzled in a delicious sweet, sticky caramel like sauce. Yes, I had a taste! I HAD to! My girls did mention the icing tasted like butter. After tasting I will have to agree while it is delicious, if you're used to the vegan butter Earth Balance, you may just say the same. I don't know for sure that's what they used but I would be extremely surprised if they didn't. All and all, it was an awesome first visit and I look forward to many more! From great convo and hanging out with "my people", to incredibly tasty food, and free entertainment too...there wasn't much not to love from this simple pay at the counter joint with some funky flare. There was an awesome sense of community here and I love being around other people with such a love and passion for animals and Mother Earth. It's a definitely a feel good kind of place vibrating with pure positivity. *They use all filtered water for their cooking and have a filling station. If you have bottles, bring 'em. **Check out the table with flyers for local business and events!*** There's a small parking lot in the back with no line markers, but it's safe to park there, or so I was told by the staff at the restaurant. I had no issues."
"This is Lagos Islands second location. This spot does not have pizza like the other location in Upper Darby. The building used to have a small sandwich shop called Jimmy's, but I believe there was a fire a couple of years ago that closed it permanently. Parking is out front along Chester Pike and can be a challenge. It's a bit tight, I would suggest possibly parking on a side street if you can. The inside looks like there needs to be a bit of organization done. It's a bit cluttered, there are several tables along the outer wall, but I remember Jimmy's having a diner like counter bar before. The girl at the front counter was extremely nice and a great conversation. She talked at length about the menu which seems to have a bit of a spicy/jerk twist to some of your typical sandwich shop standards as well as chicken. They also have seafood (Salmon, shrimp, mussels, fried fish) dishes, bbq ribs (beef and pork) and rice platters. She had me hooked when she mentioned a Salmon Cheesesteak which could have shrimp added. It's served with peppers, onions and Monterey jack cheese on a Liscio's roll.My sandwich was made to order and came out pretty fast. The guy working the grill did a great job. The sandwich held together well and was not sloppy at all. The salmon is finely chopped up/minced and had wonderful flavors. The shrimp were fresh and sat on top of the sandwich. I really enjoyed the flavor profile, it had a cajun black pepper bite and the cheese melted well inside the bun and with the meat to help give it a creamy flavor. I've never had a sandwich like this before and would definitely repeat.I hope these guys find a way to add pizza to this location, but they are doing ok with the menu as it exists now. I'll be returning to try some of their other menu offerings."
"One of the google review's starts off "Lord have Mercy," and I must agree. What a phenomenal food experience. It is the epitome of hole in the wall. I thought I was accidentally going into the kitchen but it was the very small waiting room. We ordered our food ahead on the phone - easy to order, people were nice on the phone. Food was ready in 25min. Menu isn't huge which I always see as a good sign. We got the mac and cheese. Fantastic. Nice and toasted on the top which gave it a crispness and delicious and not overly salty or fatty throughout. We had the jerked chicken soul plate. Amazing. The chicken, the rice, the yams, the collards...all just perfect. The chicken had a great kick too it and lots of nice charred bits but also lots of juicy tender bits. Yams were naturally sweet and complemented the chicken great. I don't usually like collards because of the bitterness but these were great. Price was beyond reasonable for the quality and quantity of food (2 of us ordered one soul plate and one side of mac and cheese and it lasted for dinner for both of us and lunch for one person). Our friend got the jerked chicken cheesesteak and gave it 10/10. They also cater. Check em out immediately."
"Great service, take out restaurant on lower level. Second floor is a BYOB and Hookah Lounge. They have a good selection the Thai wings are a must have, seafood salad gets two thumbs up. The restaurant is newly opened and accepts cash only at this time."
"I recently tried Soul By The Sea via a delivery service. On the delivery app the restaurant is described as a black owned. I tried the Shrimp Fried Rice with Broccoli. The meal was very filling and full of flavor. The fried rice is $12.00 on the app and they give a lot of food. I received four large shrimp on top and cut up shrimp mixed in with the meal. The large side of buttered broccoli was a good addition. I'd definitely order this meal again.I also ordered the fried whiting fish sandwich and a side of macaroni and cheese. I ate the fish the next day heated in the oven. The fried whitening was delicious. It cost only $7.00 for the sandwich. They give 4 large pieces of fish with 2 slices of bread on the side. I ate it with the cayenne sauce packs included. My sis bought a platter of fried shrimp and fries. I tried one of the shrimp, the seasoning was very flavorful. The fries were too greasy for my taste but the one shrimp I tried was delicious, so I'm definitely getting an order of 6 next time."
"Man where do I begin?! So I was looking for some soul food and boy did I find it Food literally fed my soul! I had a fried salmon dinner with mac and a whole lot of cheese , some of the best yams I've ever had ! I definitely would recommend ordering ahead but the wait wasn't bad either. They were definitely doing their thing in the kitchen so be quiet and wait lol. I will definitely be back ! Over and over! And hopefully I can get them to cater my wedding in the future"
"Tracked down the truck outside of Temple hospital and it was so worth the journey. That jerk chicken cheesesteak changed my outlook on cheesesteaks and on jerk chicken. The chicken was so flavorful, so juicy and tender, and mixed with that cheese and bread...what a phenomenal combination."
"I have been searching recently for some delicious soul fried fish! I asked around and I heard try GiGi's more than once! I was on a mission for fish..but once I got there and smelled all the different yummy foods! Again--focus-so the order area is a small space, but it has approximately 5-7 chairs and one table! The menu items are listed and there were many options! I ordered the whiting fish; beans and rice with Mac and cheese! The Mac and Cheese was not cheesy and easily forgettable! The fish was exactly what I was seeking--seasoned well outer crunch and flaky inside! The prices were reasonable-I will be back for sure!"
"This is a really great establishment. Quite small yet very welcoming. The staff is very nice and attentive to anything you are interested in. The staff was also nice enough to let me and my friends eat our food in the restaurant while also watching a Sixers game. I felt really welcomed and I felt like I didn't want to leave. I can't wait to see where this establishment goes within the coming years. I can't wait to visit again! Thank you."
"I've ordered delivery from Frannie Nick's twice since covid-19. Each time I felt like I was eating a good home cooked meal. The standout star both times was the cheesesteak eggrolls. They are delicious. As good as you will find anywhere in the city. That's the only dish that reminds you that you have ordered from a restaurant. The fried chicken, macaroni & cheese, and string beans have that homemade taste that makes you feel like you made yourself the plate of food at a family dinner. In this era of covid-19, when a lot of sould food family dinners have been canceled, Frannie Nick's really hits the spot when I'm craving soul food."
"The service is great! The food was super affordable within the area and especially for those of us who are pescatarians."
