"Great Italian specialty spot if your looking for imported Italian groceries and a solid sandwich. When I was a kid my mother used to take me here often for her favorite Mortadella and at the time it was one of the only places you could find Nutella. They still sell Italian playing cards and Italian cornicello to hang so you can ward off the evil eye aka malocchio. Fresh produce, dairy/cheeses, olives, Italian coffees, juices, olive oil, sweets, panettone, fresh bread, deli meats, pints of Bassett's Ice Cream etc., all sold with help from a great staff. On my last visit I asked for an Italian hoagie with proscuitto and extra sharp provolone. I believe the guy told me it also came with hot capicola, genoa salami and pepperoni. It took a little bit to get my sandwich as they were very busy at the deli counter, but it was worth the wait. My sandwich was packed with meat and on a fresh roll (which I believe came from Corropolese, but don't quote me on it). Lots of spicy bite from the hot capicola, great kick from the sharp provolone and wonderful flavor from the proscuitto. Overall, it was a solid above average premium meat Italian hoagie.I took home some Italian wafer cookies, chocolate filled Croissants and a bottle of Brioschi which kicks butt if you ever need all natural quick effervescent digestive relief. (Thankfully I don't have problem often, but when I do, I thank God this stuff exists!) Dattilo's is an older Italian market and doesn't look fancy, but to me it's still a very relevant staple to the Northeast community run by good people."
"I ordered from Lee's Deli because I know they have carrot cake made by the mythical "carrot cake man". The carrot cake man has been selling his carrot cakes on public transportation for many years. I didn't just order the carrot cake. I ordered a sampling of desserts along with an Italian hoagie. It is a deli after all. The Italian hoagie was a good hoagie, but nothing memorable. It will not be my go-to spot for an Italian. It seems none of the desserts are made in house, but they definitely know where to get them from The carrot cake was the same cake I remembered from years back. Very moist with the best cream cheese icing I've ever tasted. The red velvet and pound cake were also outstanding cakes. Right up there with the best Amish cakes. The sweet potato pie was just OK. I wouldn't get that again. I had 3 outstanding desserts, so no complaints there. But the deli part doesn't seem to be up to that very high bar."

Visit Restaurant Page"Where to begin?? Even though they were extremely busy, the line moved very quickly. The people working there are very friendly and efficient. They have a big selection to choose from. I decided on the sandwich the firebird. The young lady said it was a new option there. It is made with pork roll, egg and cheese, chipotle mayo and hot sauce. They have many bread or bagels to decide from. You can never go wrong with the everything bagel. I got a few pastry for later on that day. The muffins and Danish are too good to decide which one is better."
"The one thing you can't help but love about this local grocer is all of the support from the community and the welcoming atmosphere inside, no matter how crowded it gets! I called my order in on a busy Tuesday during lunch because I knew the line was going to be crazy. Lol When I arrive there were at least 15 or so hungry customers waiting for their sandwiches and other food items. The owner usually works alone at the front, so they are quite busy trying to answer the phone and running the registered at the same time. The food was still ready within a 15-minute window and just as tasty as usual. My tofu bahn mi was a tad dry but the bread and tofu itself were quite flavorful. I also ordered some sea salt chips to accompany the sandwich which was a great choice lolMy favorite part was just exchanging some friendly banter with the owner who was honored to have the good problem of running the register and fulfilling orders over the phone."
"Years ago bought fresh pasta when it was called Springfield Ravioli. Since then another good pasta place opened closer to me(Ridley) so haven't been here in a bit. I was looking for good breakfast sandwich in area. Web search, their name came up multiple times. Got scrapple , egg, cheese & son got red pepper, egg and cheese. Heard coffee was good. The sandwiches were great & quickly made. The coffee was fantastic, among best I've ever had. There were two types, a dark roast and a medium roast called "420". I believe locally roasted."
"Different cheesesteak #1010 in the last four years. I was shocked how much I liked this cheesesteak. I was starving which can be very good or very bad for the cheesesteak. It did NOT pass the price or eye test but son of a gun I liked it. The roll looked bready but collapsed nicely around the meat. I would have liked more meat but it had a lot of meat flavor. The cheese, onions and mushrooms all kind of got lost but weren't really missed. I would have liked to save whatever the mushrooms cost."
"No frills deli in delco. Nothing left to be desired. I wanna meatball hoagie in the middle of a busy Friday afternoon they are here. If i want cheesecake they got that too. They are family owned and operated and i really have no complaints. Call your big orders in, cash is always better than a card, and i guess the parking is cool but it's kind of hard to get out. Park and walk from the other lot. Other than that this is a mainstay from the area give them a try!"
"Different Cheesesteak #1146. This is why I'm allowed to complain about paying more than $14 (including tax in Philly) for a very good cheesesteak. I got my usual Cheesesteak with fried onions, mushrooms and american cheese. It came on the best Liscio's roll I ever had. Authentic looking Italian lady sitting at the counter overseeing everything. This was a very good cheesesteak but the fried onions overpowered everything a little bit. The mushrooms looked very good. I would have liked to taste them more. I am very interested in the Chicken cutlet. The specials (dollar dogs and NBA) are amazing."
"I have gotten sandwiches from here twice. The first time I had the Eagleville Sandwich (Homemade Roast Pork, Spinach Leaves, Sharp Provolone, Roasted Garlic, Long Hots, Onions, Creamy Garlic Sauce). You really have to like onions because this is loaded with onions. The second time I had a Ham & Cheese Sandwich (Boars Head Tavern Ham and Swiss Cheese). The sandwich was full of ham which I liked. Both times the people who served me were very friendly. They serve Reading Soda Works sodas. My favorite is the Honey Pear. The Black Cherry soda is good but the cherry flavor is not as full of cherry flavor as I like."
"Bower Cafe on Walnut is a lovely addition to the neighborhood. Coffee, friendly service, and early hours? I'm down.Sit window-side and people watch, or relax in their main dining area. High ceilings, natural lighting, and artistic touches add up to a welcoming space. Bring a date, bring friends, or talk business in a corner. There's room for a light crowd, so don't be shy.Besides coffee, you can find cold drinks in the fridge - think sparkling water, draft lattes, etc. Hungry? They've got pastries and sandwiches made-to-order.Find Bower Cafe at 1213 Walnut. Credit accepted, including contactless.FYI they're currently soft opening so review details may be inaccurate."
"This JOINT is exactly what PM needed! Biscuit Lady takes her talents outside Philly and CRUSHED her opening day. Was happy to be 4th in line! She and her staff are SO welcoming and were ready for the rush. What we snagged:-The Susie (egg and cheese on a biscuit) -The Jannie (bacon egg and cheese)Both sandys were Fire. So flavorful on the freshest biscuit we've ever had. -Assorted Holly Donuts. (All the flavors were SO darn good) We'll 100% be back as we're right down the road! Congrats to your Biscuit Lady!"
"How have I not reviewed Sam's before??This is the best pizza in Drexel Hill. I mean that. The sauce is sweet and the cheese is salty, and the crust is always perfectly done. It's never overcoooked or undercooked and they usually get your pizza out to you in lightning speed. Their cheesesteaks are also pretty good, not to mention super cheap for what you get! I don't think I've ever been disappointed in anything I've ordered here, and let me tell you I order things from here a lot. 5/5 great pizza, truly one of my favorites of all time!"

This is a great little store. Meats were very tasty and reasonably priced, and the perfectly bite sized pepper shooters and grilled long hots were both spot on. The only thing I didn't care for were the roasted red peppers, which were watery with an off putting bitter aftertaste. The people who work here are extremely friendly and helpful.

bulgogi cheese steak + carrot cake muffin are great!Add pickles for sure!!!===========Just got delivery from DoorDash and I'm very satisfiedBulgogi cheese steakI was worried this would be super sweet, but it actually wasn't. I added pickles to this and it was great with the meat. There's pieces of broccoli in this too so it's kinda not terrible for you. The cheese and the beef aren't overwhelming one another.Carrot cakeTexture is a little dense more like a muffin, but this was not too sweet and cream cheese frosting had enough tang in it. Yum.As I was eating, some grease or sauce went all over my fingers. Def a messy meal.Tasty if you want a bit of a twist to your cheese steak.

Interesting local bread and pasty place located in Reading Terminal Market. I highly suggest them for a breakfast sandwich. I got the OMG BLT and it was OMG big. I picked the brioche bun which was hella fresh bread. I really like the use of pesto and mozzarella in the sandwich (added a sort of twist). The sandwich was a decent size and the service was very quick. The only problem with it being in Reading Terminal is spots to eat at fill quickly especially with multiple people.

My go to in philly for BANH mi sandwiches. When I come over bridge from nj I like to treat myself somewhere if time permits. I Ordered the tofu ones for me and sis. Delicious, but could've used a tiny bit more of the mayo/spread they use. This location his a mini market as well, with lots of grocery items, fresh produce, frozen foods, drinks, cleaning products, pet foods, you name it.

First time here I was led to them because of the poutin fries. I was cheerfully welcomed and the staff was super nice and helpful. I ended up ordering the cheesesteak fries and they did not disappoint. I also got the red velvet cake slice and that was sooooo yummy it hit the spot. I'll be back to try more of their vast menu.

My new go to sandwich spot in Delaware County. Stop in and check em out. Friendly staff check out their Corn Beef specials on a long roll.
Visit Restaurant Page"Two visits and while I haven't sampled a wide variety of the offerings, I had the bagel and as a highlight of the establishment. Bagels are darn good and I say as a NY'er. We're the self-professed champions of bagels. I had a basic cinnamon-raisin bagel with light cream cheese. My partner had a whole wheat bagel with lox, veggies and onions. Customer service took and processed our order swiftly albeit on a super rainy day. Keep in mind that the store is tiny and can only hold about 5-6 people at a time. The overall vibe is grab and go. We devoured half the bagels in the car. Bagels never made it home. That's all the review you need. Get the bagels and move on."
"Everything about this place is awesome. The Italian hoagie is perfection. The staff is friendly and helpful. I love it when I'm in town and get to eat here."
"Jems hit the mark as usual!Ordered the meatball special(hot tray full of meatballs with rolls) and a tray of mac&cheese for the holidays!Always so good. Friends and family always asking if the food is homemade, they can't believe I buy it. Great friendly staff producing high quality food."
"I am a BIG Tela's fan! It's a great spot in Fairmount for coworking, quick lunches, dates, and an occasional drink. So much to love here: the food, the atmosphere and vibes, bright sunlight, open windows in the summer, and space to spread out.I have enjoyed the yogurt parfait and greek bowl with chicken. They also have really nice egg-based breakfast and brunch options. There is typically a sign in front that denotes whether or not there is service or if you're supposed to order at the bar and sit. There is occasionally bugs flying around and I sometimes wish the market selection was a bit bigger (I think it used to be?) but ultimately it wouldn't be that convenient of a location for me to bop by for specialty items anyways. Pop in for a unique hostess gift, thought! Bottle of wine, etc. Also coffee!Always look forward to my next Tela's trip and appreciate this gem of a spot for existing."
"Extremely impressed with this new cool trats spot, which offers great soft serve ice cream and even greater service. Portions were humongous compared to standard. The color changing spoon was a nice touch."
"I tried two of the hoagies from High Street Hoagies, the Fairmount (ham + salumi, red onions, iceberg, provolone, fennel, calabrian chili oil, oregano) and the Society Hill (smoked turkey, tomato, greens, pickled pepper mayo, green goddess). They both looked great on paper, but in reality they were good but not good enough to stand out in a city like Philly that is filled with great hoagie shops. The Fairmount was the best, similar to an Italian hoagie. The key to a great hoagie is a great roll, and high street does not use a great roll. It's just an average seeded roll, which is their first mistake. The meat they use is very good, but they make the hoagies on the dry side. Not enough oil or mayo on them. I added mayo to the turkey hoagie. High Street hoagies is on Penn's campus, so they may do well with the college students from out of town. But they would need to step up their game to be a go to spot for someone West Philadelphia born and raised."
"May take a while for them to answer the phone, so I use the online ordering system. Usually order Wings & Cheesesteaks from here. Both have been great. The wings are big and meaty and the sauce is on point. They have tons of sauces but I stick with Buffalo and the Cam Newton (Carolina BBQ & Hot Sauce Mixed) Always great for the games. Just sucks they do not open until 1PM on Sundays. i like to not miss any of the game. Cheesesteaks are very meaty and well seasoned. The roll which makes any sandwich is crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. With the right amount of fried onions and cheese makes for one tasty meal. If in the area give them a try, I am glad I did."
"So this place wasn't on yelp but the food is WAY too delicious not to be on here. The food taste like my uncle from down south was on the grill in a linen outfit and leather sandals(iykyk). I got the ribs, Mac n cheese(taste lie my moms) yams and green beans. I had it delivered and they didn't have the chocolate cake I ordered, the worked called to offer me alternates and added and extra dessert for the inconvenience. Can't beat great food with great service. The place is unassuming but don't miss out!"
"While Christmas shopping I was looking for a place that was quick, a good selection and some seating to recharge and eat! This cafe fits the bill, perfectly. Order at the kiosk and grab a seat in one of the tables. Ordered Spicy Philly Panini which lived up to the billing. Quite a bite of heat with this sandwich of spicy chicken, bacon, avocado and cheese. A big meal for $11. The chicken shawarma wrap is fresh and flavorful. Great cappuccino and cafe Americano. For a quick bite that is quality, you are here!"
"Seriously the best Vegan joint in Philly! We went to another vegan spot in Philly and it was way overpriced and not NEARLY as good as Vegan Vibes!! Not even close. And the dishes here are a really nice portion size and very well priced. The food was creative, well seasoned, wholesome ingredients and just damn good! ...for real! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Vegan Vibes for ANYONE that just wants great food!!"
"Wow. Delicious food and juice smoothies. I saw the write up in the paper about healthy food 500 calories or less for $10 or less. I met my friend and we enjoyed a couple hours chanting as we accessed the east order menu at the kiosk and viola, tasty salads, and drinks appears as time passed. The staff is great, very helpful and the food is fresh like it was picked that morning. The flavors are well thought out and very satisfying. I got green juice smooths with kale, banana and pineapple- so yummy , and a Greek salad. Fuel did not disappoint. I highly recommend."
"Jet Wine Bar is an excellent location in the city, with the star of the show being their expansive outside seating area. This is is a great location to come on a warm summer afternoon evening, and saample a few wines/snacks. The outdoor area has a lot of tables for seating, and is a bright and colorful space. They have a plethora of interesting wines to try (including orange wines), and the staff were super helfpul in allowing us to sample wines and providing recommendations. We only came here for a drink and a snack, but they had lots of great snacks on thier menu perfect for pairing with wine. We had the hummus (recommended by the staff), and they did not dissapoint. This was an excellent and creamy hummus, paired with toasted pita and marinated olives. This is a definitely a space I will return to for drinks with friends, adn would also be a great location for a summer or fall date!"
"a 14 dollar Pastrami sandwich that has absolutely fabulous small choppy pieces and neither long thin strips nor thick cut slabs..enough for me to save half. A bit of grease dripping down the marble rye bread (which I agree did not hold up well at all, it was so odd, just dissolved away)You can add all kinds of stuff to it for almost nothing from sauerkraut, coleslaw, to making it a full Rueben or Rachel which is a Rueben plus swiss... I keep it simple with spicy brown mustard & some kraut.Solid sandwich, not one complaint and so much more enjoyable when it's not 32 bucks. As good if not better than any here at home.We waited a very short time & grabbed one seat, then another became available a short time later. Positive experience all around. Looking forward to a repeat sometime soon."
"Toto's was our go-to when my sister lived in Philly for college. Since she graduated and moved home, I haven't had an excuse to make the 3-hour drive here, but I happened to be in-town for an exhibit at the Franklin Institute and I decided to take advantage. The pepperoni pizza is JUST as good (if not better) than I remember from a decade ago! They're doing renovations inside, so there wasn't a place for us to sit and eat, but we sat in our car with the steaming hot box sitting on the dashboard and scarfed down 75% of the pizza within minutes. It was delicious, with a crispy crust and yummy sauce and the CHEESE PULL when biting into it is no joke.I still love this place, and even if I'm living outside of DC now, the next time I'm in the Philly area, I'm coming back!"
"It's my favorite place to order from. The food is always fresh and tasty. I love the mint limeade. Very refreshing. The shrimp po'boy is good. So is the veggie fried rice. I enjoy the wings as well. I would say my least favorite is the Cajun pasta with chicken. I highly recommend them."
"Cute little cafe in West Philly with good coffee. I tried their breakfast sandwich, which was a turkey sausage, egg and cheese, on what they call a "Philly muffin" in lieu of a bagel, which was pretty good, but not the best breakfast sandwich I've had. I think I was moreso expecting the saltiness of an everything bagel, and that's why I was a little let down. Still good, but not necessarily what I was expecting.Overall the inside is super cute, they have a nice outdoor seating space, and they have a decent list of coffee offerings, and more than two sizes for drinks. My friends live right around the corner so I'm sure I'll be back!"
"I mean, I'm sure the food is good but it's hard to taste it over the insanely loud terrible service you get here. There's a big difference between bad customer service and intentional rudeness. I'm so sorry, Larry's, to have offended you for coming into your business to spend money on food they make better at Wawa to be treated like an irritant for not knowing you don't accept credit cards in 2022. Maybe if you concentrate on at least being civil to your customers you will make more money and have less of a terrible reputation."
"unbelievably clean facility, phenomenal food - the man was literally singing and tossing dough 10/10 experience happy ppl happy food"
"Just saw this place opened up and went in to grab a sandwich for the road. The woman behind the counter is friendly and thoughtful. When we told her we were driving, she gave us extra napkins and offered a drink carrier. Fast service. Solid lemonade. My boyfriend loved the bahn mi (and we're pretty picky with our bahn mis so this says something) on the seeded roll (which the woman there recommended) and I got a hoagie. Bread was solid, hoagie was thicc (she did NOT skimp on the meat and cheese) and ingredients were super fresh. We live a block away and will definitely be coming back to try their breakfasts, which sounded bomb. If you live in the area, check this place out! When everything opens up more, this will definitely be a popping spot for folks working on laptops and grabbing lunch."
"This place is a Roxborough neighborhood staple. My dear friend Dee introduced me to it.First, it's not "destination dining," though I think you'd be hard pressed to find any place in Roxborough that deserves that particular appellation. It's in a strip mall so there is no beautiful antique bar or trendy art work. Whenever I'd come here with Dee, though, this place always reminded me of where one would go for a family celebratory treat kind of meal-like if one of the kids got a good report card or someone made the softball team. Dee used to take her late mother here once a week after they both got mani/pedis. When my 22 year old long haired Flame Point cat died in her sleep, Dee immeditely drove to my house, bundled me into her car and brought me here. We did not mention the cat's passing but being in a friendly place was a tremendous comfort. When our server saw tears running silently down my cheeks, God love her, she came over with a bagged, boxed piece of cheesecake and whispered to me that she hoped this would cheer me up. Only in Philly. You'll find standard American/Italian food at Mister P.'s. The menu is enormous. Service was always friendly, fast and accommodating. I've had their 14 inch pizzas, their strombolis, calzones, Italian hoagies, meatball sandwiches (divine!), pasta fagioli, jumbo shrimp platter, plain old green side salad, their cannolis and so much more that I can no longer recall. I can say honestly that I never had a bad or unsatisfying meal and after my first visit here, I was always treated like a regular. When our server learned on my first visit that I had just moved back to Philly after a long stay on the West coast, she went out of her way to welcome me back and included 4 gratis cannolis to go along with the check for my first dinner at Mister P's. Portions are very large and it was never unusual for the 2 of us to take home enough leftovers for at least 2 more meals after dining here. While the decor is nothing memorable or Instagram worthy, the restaurant as well as the restrooms were always spotless and we were never given sticky menus. If that sounds weird, then you have never eaten at a place that does not give their plastic coated menus a good, thorough wipe down-front and back at the close of business day.You can go to Fiorella, Fiore, Via Locusta or any number of places in Center City, East Passyunk or South Philly for very fine, "authentic" Italian cuisine but I doubt you'll be served and treated with the same warmth and caring we always found here."
"Honestly speaking, on the path less travelled, Jim's West Steaks is a great find. I had recently read that Jim's West was an experiencing a rebirth under new leadership so off I went. This cheesesteak was L-O-A-D-E-D! After placing my order the chef got started on my order and seeing how much steak she loaded onto the grill, it was definitely impressive. She just grabbed a handful of steak over her head to the grill and started cooking asap. I asked for two steaks, one with provolone, mushrooms, and onions, the other with wiz, both came filled to the brim with steak. Definitely go for a generous sprinkle of salt and pepper at the end for better flavor, and surprisingly, for me anyway, I was asked distinctly if I wanted mayo, so I said why not. A dash of ketchup was the final addon to this Philly treat. The final verdict, tender chopped juicy steak, no gristle, not too cheesy (which I prefer), nicely cooked and not overdone. I definitely rank this is as a Philly best. For about $12-$14 a steak this was not just tasty but economical as well. Now, this was a bit off the beaten path for sure and the neighborhood, well, get your steak and go. There isn't much eat in space anyway. The good news is that a great cheesesteak will stay a great cheesesteak for a while."
"First time here and will be back. Got the regular Italian and it was perfect. An excellent blend of meats. Ratio of fresh veggies was great and topped off with an excellent roll. Friendly staff who told me they've been there 47 years. Highly recommend based on the Italian."
