"We recently held a 2-year-old birthday party at the Wyndmoor Firehouse down the street from this location. We live across the country so we had never had the food before. We heard from a few different people that it was consistently good. We decided we would give it a shot for our 40 guests. The party was at 3:00 p.m. so we were not looking for lunch or dinner, but instead some easy finger foods. The recommendation was tacos and hoagie slices. We ordered both, and added churros to the order as an additional finger food dessert. We heard from many guests that they really enjoyed all of the food, and the quantity provided by Tony's Pizza City was enough that we were able to leave plenty of leftovers for the local police and first responders. The pricing for all of the different food options we were presented was more than reasonable.We would highly recommend discussing catering options with Luciano if you have a need."

It's a small local shop that provides good taste. The pizza had good flavor, and the crust was thick and chewy, not burned. I like thick crust (instead of thin).The garlic sticks weren't too garlicky, and we usually prefer something stronger taste and more melt in your mouth homemade."

It did NOT pass the price or eye test but son of a gun I liked it. The roll looked bready but collapsed nicely around the meat. I would have liked more meat but it had a lot of meat flavor. The cheese, onions and mushrooms all kind of got lost but weren't really missed. I would have liked to save whatever the mushrooms cost."

Since she graduated and moved home, I haven't had an excuse to make the 3-hour drive here, but I happened to be in-town for an exhibit at the Franklin Institute and I decided to take advantage.The pepperoni pizza is JUST as good (if not better) than I remember from a decade ago! They're doing renovations inside, so there wasn't a place for us to sit and eat, but we sat in our car with the steaming hot box sitting on the dashboard and scarfed down 75% of the pizza within minutes. It was delicious, with a crispy crust and yummy sauce and the CHEESE PULL when biting into it is no joke.I still love this place, and even if I'm living outside of DC now, the next time I'm in the Philly area, I'm coming back!"

My husband and I shared The Paulie and The Vinny's Vodka Sauce pizzas and have to say they are definitely worth the hype. "This place is a Roxborough neighborhood staple. My dear friend Dee introduced me to it.First, it's not "destination dining," though I think you'd be hard pressed to find any place in Roxborough that deserves that particular appellation. It's in a strip mall so there is no beautiful antique bar or trendy art work. Whenever I'd come here with Dee, though, this place always reminded me of where one would go for a family celebratory treat kind of meal-like if one of the kids got a good report card or someone made the softball team. Dee used to take her late mother here once a week after they both got mani/pedis. When my 22 year old long haired Flame Point cat died in her sleep, Dee immeditely drove to my house, bundled me into her car and brought me here. We did not mention the cat's passing but being in a friendly place was a tremendous comfort. When our server saw tears running silently down my cheeks, God love her, she came over with a bagged, boxed piece of cheesecake and whispered to me that she hoped this would cheer me up. Only in Philly.You'll find standard American/Italian food at Mister P.'s. The menu is enormous. Service was always friendly, fast and accommodating. I've had their 14 inch pizzas, their strombolis, calzones, Italian hoagies, meatball sandwiches (divine!), pasta fagioli, jumbo shrimp platter, plain old green side salad, their cannolis and so much more that I can no longer recall. I can say honestly that I never had a bad or unsatisfying meal and after my first visit here, I was always treated like a regular. When our server learned on my first visit that I had just moved back to Philly after a long stay on the West coast, she went out of her way to welcome me back and included 4 gratis cannolis to go along with the check for my first dinner at Mister P's. Portions are very large and it was never unusual for the 2 of us to take home enough leftovers for at least 2 more meals after dining here. While the decor is nothing memorable or Instagram worthy, the restaurant as well as the restrooms were always spotless and we were never given sticky menus. If that sounds weird, then you have never eaten at a place that does not give their plastic coated menus a good, thorough wipe down-front and back at the close of business day.You can go to Fiorella, Fiore, Via Locusta or any number of places in Center City, East Passyunk or South Philly for very fine, "authentic" Italian cuisine but I doubt you'll be served and treated with the same warmth and caring we always found here."

I don't think I'd ever had their pizza before. After the gargantuan slices oozing with cheese at the other two places, Lorenzo's slice was aesthetically the least impressive. The slice was a reasonable portion--I can't call it small--and was just $2.50. (An XL 18" pie is only $14.)But what it lacked in looks this slice made up for in flavor. We both liked it best of the three. The sauce was the secret weapon. I found something comforting and familiar about it. It wasn't sweet and had more tomato flavor. You could also see the herbs and spices on the slice, which improved the flavor. The crust was a bit thicker than the others but was crispy and good."

At $8 in Philly I am not going to complain (much). 2 of my favorite things that don't necessarily need to go together, corropolese roll and a toasted roll. Corropolese rolls stand on their own but it is George's pizza and not Jim's. Very good roll, with or without the toasting. The meat had a good flavor. We asked if we could sit inside with our meal, but they rudely said no and that we had to order inside to be able to sit inside. Didn't know what difference it would've made considering it was empty. We ended up eating in the car. Onto the food- this is legit my favorite pizza! The crust was the perfect amount of crispness. The sauce was saucy. I prefer a little liquidity than tomato flavored. It was excellent. The proportions for bread, to sauce to cheese was on point. I came home with my leftovers and couldn't quite get the same level of crispy. All the locals say to stay away from the two famous ones (G &P) as they are not good just tourist traps! Duly noted so we went here! This is our second experience as our first was at a place in Old Town. This place stuffs the hoagie full of freshly cooked piping hot delicious meat! This was much better than the other one we had tried and cost was better too! Down side is there is extremely limited seating inside. Two counters that have four barstools at each counter but you would be really squished and eating with your elbows touching if you sat four people there. We took one whole counter for just the two of us and it was a good amount of space we didn't feel squished at all. Over all I definitely recommend this place and I can confidently say, you won't be disappointed!"

"I found it odd that a NYC style pizza place opened in the food court at Liberty Place, but as a big pizza lover I was still eager to try it. I would expect Brooklyn Pizza to open in a food court frequented by tourists. I stopped by for lunch and ordered a slice of pepperoni and a slice of sausage. They were 2 nice sized slices for a reasonable price. They are definitely the foldable slices popular in NYC. I would have liked just a bit of crispiness in the crust. The pepperoni slice was a bit too greasy but very tasty. The sausages are thick, like I like it, but it made the slice feel like it needed more cheese. I enjoyed the pizza, but it's not good enough to make this my go-to pizza spot when there are so many pizza places in the area."

"Located within the heart of Philadelphia diagonal to Love Park, 'Aldo & Manny Pizza and Pasta' became an unexpected spare of the moment visit for me in replace of HipCityVeg before leaving downtown Philadelphia. Though it was not initially my preferred option, I felt it would have been beneficial for carb load, since I was in the city to run the Blue Cross Broad Street Run 10-Miler. I ended up ordering and enjoying a slice of vegetarian lovers pizza for dine-in, and eventually ordering a slice of tomato pizza before leaving the restaurant. Both employees who assisted me took care of me in a friendly, yet timely manner at the register. With that, I would surely visit Aldo & Manny Pizza and Pasta again during any of my ventures to Philadelphia.
