The last of the Mohicans. This deli is one of the few that lets you sit down and eat. You can order a sandwich or beer. Deli's used to be like that before all the homeless started taking advantage sleeping, urinating and defecting in and around the stores. I started using it when I became a 12th Street Gym member. It's clean and the cashier is helpful. They don't make you feel like a thief when you are just looking around. You get a lot of that in Chinatown. The selection of Beer is actually pretty good too.

Beer was EXTREMELY overpriced over $90 for 3 15-packs... That is unbelievably ridiculous. And they don't price their beer, so you have no clue what you're paying for.

Went in for beer and chips, duh, but they do not price their beer? I had to ask the guy behind the counter every price which is totally inefficient. Its a shame, they have a large selection but I'm not interested in getting gouged at checkout for a lousy six-pack.

OMG. I couldn't believe this small convenience store would have the only chocolate that i was craving for since I moved to the states three years ago. Yes they got MALTESERS. in addition to other cadbury products from UK. This place is amazing and the prices is surprisingly cheaper than what you expect. last night i bought Nestle coffee choice from Walgreens, and i found it at Pac a Deli $2 less than what i paid. The staff is so cool and kind not to mention PAUL, he is friendly and helpful. Since i live across of it i go there at least once or twice a week if not more. Again, if you are addicted to Dairy milk, flake, twirl or crunchie now you know where to find them ;)Three Yelps!

I frequently find myself in Pac-A-Deli buying Double-Stuf Oreos, coffee Häagen-Dazs, and whole milk on Sunday evenings... I'm not sure why the urge to binge strikes so reliably at around 10pm on Sunday, but it does. And it's a good thing that Pac-A-Deli is close by, because all the other bodegas/delis/convenience stores in the neighborhood close super early on Sunday. But Pac-A-Deli stays open until 11pm on Sundays, slingin' six packs and junk food.BOTTOM LINE: Stays open late. Sells sixers. Has very friendly employees.

Pac A Deli is the perfect spot to quickly grocery shop without the inconvenience of strolling all the way down to SuperFresh. They have all of the essentials at a reasonable price- compared to Rittenhouse Market (which is a rip off!) . They have a decent beer selection, D&W deli meats, a fresh vegetable selection and tons of frozen foods! What more could you want for a quick trip to the "grocery store".The staff is incredibly friendly and eager to help. You never have to wait for service.

The only reason why this corner store (in the middle of the block) is worth writing about is that they have a decent selection of beer at a good price. Not the selection of the foodery, but cheaper. And it's my stop for soda water after visiting the PLCB on Chestnut.$5 minimum for debit, $10 minimum for credit.

Pac-A-Deli has taken the prize for the cheapest place in Philly I've found to buy six pack bottles of Yuengling Lager. $6.99 plus tax. While Lager isn't the greatest beer in the world, it is a staple beer (much like the Irish had potatoes). As such, I like to use it as a basis to judge whether a store's beer prices are high or low. And Pac-A-Deli's prices are low, low, low!A nice touch -- They sell both cold and room temperature beer. In the aisles you can find twelve packs of cans of your basic domestic variety. Behind the counter lies the cold selection, which is better than average. There is also a deli in the store. I didn't try any of their sandwiches, but it looked like they could get the job done. Additionally, they have your run of the mill corner store goods for sale. And if you need a place to burn off that new-found low prices beer gut, 12th Street Gym is next door.

Don't believe their hours. They lie and frequently close early. So, don't bother showing up in the last 15 minutes or longer unless you'd like to be turned away. If you want to close early, list your hours to reflect that change. Pay a few cents and change the sign to read 11:45 or 11:30. OR, when you're closing up early and someone shows up before you're closed, how about at the very least apologising and not just shaking your head at them? Very rude. If you're turning customers away before you're even supposed to be closed, you should at the very least say sorry since you're now inconveniencing AT LEAST one person. You're better off walking down the street to 7-Eleven. The only reason I don't is that they are like a block away from my work(plus they have Monster Juice Khaos). 7-Eleven has rewards and better prices. Which, unfortunately, I did not have time to walk down there before work.
