"Amazing food and service! A hidden gem in Exton, Pennsylvania!! If you pass this place on route 100 going through Exton, you should stop...it really is amazing!"
"This is my number one roast duck in North America so far, it's very delicious, another recommended dish is beef brisket noodles"

Dozens of fresh ingredients to choose from with many types of noodles, large variety of vegetables, fish balls, meat slices, and other assorted items. Build your own hot pot all you do is pick the broth base at the end: original mala (spicy), mushroom, or tomato. Start by picking up a bowl and tongs, fill with everything you want at the self serve area, and then go to the counter to choose your broth base. You pay and get a number, then sit down and wait for it to cook up until they call you. Price is $13.99/lb for everything, and they also have some drinks to buy as well. There is a separate area to build your own spices cup with chilis and oils. Overall it is very good concept and everything fresh and tasty! Glad the chain opened a spot in Philly. Thanks"
"Collegeville is lacking a good many things, and a decent takeout Chinese food place is definitely on that list. Well, perhaps no longer. I honestly had no idea Rice House was there, and it seems as though they are very new to the area. I tried it today for lunch and was pleasantly surprised!Ordered online for in-store pick-up. Their website could use a bit more work, but it allowed me to order online easily and quickly. Got the job done for sure. Order took about fifteen minutes and was ready when I arrived to pick it up. Service at the restaurant was pleasant, though I only spoke with the one girl who took my payment. You can pay in-person or online, but I chose in-person this time. Restaurant itself is small, basically purpose built for takeout in the traditional "small front area, ordering counter, and huge kitchen in the back" layout. Order was a lunch portion of General Tso's with pork fried rice, some beef on a stick, and tangerine chicken. It was all delicious! Ok, the beef on a stick was average. Good flavor, but it needed to be cooked hotter or longer. No caramelization on the meat at all, and that really gives it some extra flavor. But very tender. The General Tso's and Tangerine chicken were both delicious! Lots of flavorful sauce, good cuts of chicken, and crispy! So many takeout chinese places in the area, you get the food, the chicken is soggy. Rice House's offering is crispy and crunchy even after I got it home, which I've been desperately missing. The pork fried rice had lots of flavor, but was not greasy, so a pleasant combination.Overall, this may be my new place for Chinese takeout, though I hope they improve the beef on a stick. That being said, if you like takeout chinese, definitely give this place a shot!"
"GF friends, delight! Noodle 88 offers a specific GF menu which highlights what can be made gluten free, and their adjustments are delicious (Copy of Gluten free menu from fall 2023 included in pics!). I had the sweet and sour chicken, which came with broccoli; it was the most delicious sweet and sour chicken I've ever had! Everything was extremely fresh and tasty. Will certainly be back to try more."
"Authentic Yunnan style noodles soup located in Chinatown Philadelphia, It's a chain originally from New York I believe. The name Shi Miao Dao is a transliteration and the meaning of it is "arrived in 10 seconds" which doesn't mean the food arriving in 10 seconds after you ordered but you can feel like you have arrived to Yunnan after 10 seconds of tasting the food. The most popular dish is of course the rice noodles, there's are different type of soup bases and toppings. For beginner I would recommend the chicken or beef, I personally love the spicy hotpot broth or the Sichuan peppercorn broth with fish fillets. They do prefer cash as a result there's a surcharge for card like many other places."
"This place is fantastic! I've come here twice already in the last week because it has a noodle soup that is just so yummy and worth. I really enjoy the broth, bok choys, and meat together. I would agree that service here isn't the best, especially if they're busy. Regardless, I would definitely recommend going here if you're ever craving a hearty noodle soup that will fill you up and warm you up."
"What a delightful Korean-Japanese fusion cafe! They offer ramen, delicious fusion dishes, and inari which is like giant sushi but with tofu skin instead of seaweed wraps. The whole place, while small, is thoughtfully and tastefully decorated with a unique personality. Love the creative inari, and the ramen was very good as well. See my photos. One of the highlights is their fruit punches that come in funny-looking plastic bags (that reminded me of IV bags). There were yuzu and pineapple punches. Yuzu was the best!"
"The girl at the register was super nice. It's a hole in a wall. The food for the price of 12 dollars was cheap but the food was amazing. The guy who then came to help was kind of a d***. But other than that if you're looking for a quick Italian pasta to go this is the place"
"Legit Philly Pho! Simply delicious! Clean broth and less MSG than NYC options. The parking in the plaza is chaotic but the fo water od was worth it"
"Tried out their dumpling sampler. 6 for $12 seems a little pricey as you'd expect to be somewhat full. There was no way to find out which dumpling was which without biting into one. I couldn't differentiate a couple of the dumplings which I guessed were buffalo even though I know I ordered only 1 buffalo. Flavor wise it wasn't bad for most of them. Some of the dumplings looked more fried than others but it didn't really take away from the flavor. Nothing really bad but I don't think I'd drive out of my way again to have these."
"Xi'an Sizzling Woks is an unexpected love of mine. I came here after my friend told me that they have the best spicy beef noodles in Philly Chinatown.Their noodles are really great!!! The noodles taste and look like they're made in-house or at the very least, locally. They have a great chewy, smooth, and yummy texture and taste. The soup broth was teeming with flavor. I loved the little bits of vegetables, meat, and other ingredients. It was like a bowl of delicious, homemade noodle soup. The portion was enormous! My friend and I shared it with two appetizers and it was more than enough. We also ordered the Xi'an Liang Pi and the Tea Smoked Duck. The Liang Pi was not something we were familiar with and when it came, it wasn't what we expected at all. However, it was quite good once we passed the initial impression. The duck was delicious and smokey. It had a great deal of meat, unlike many of the other tea smoked ducks we've tried. Definitely going back for more one day! The staff was nice and more than willing to answer any questions we had. However, we did not appreciate that they began to mop the floor while we were still eating. The smell itself overpowered our food and we quickly left after that. All and all, the food is really good and worth trying if you're in the area."

A build-your-own hotpot place that charges by the lb. This is a great alternative to the many all-you-can-eat hotpot restaurants that dominate the city. There's a decent variety of vegetables, meat, seafood and noodle types at the self-serve area where you load up your bowl. It's comparable to a large hotspot restaurant. After you order, there's also a sauce bar to the side with all your standard sauces and spices. My bowl came to $16 for a reasonable, pretty filling amount. I like the fun, bright ambience and clean atmosphere. The food comes out pretty quick as all they need to do is heat the broth and boil your food. Staff were also really helpful! My friend and I came during the first couple weeks of opening so they throughly explained everything for us (it's all pretty self explanatory though).

Surprisingly really good food in Swarthmore/Springfield. The owners are Taiwanese, so by that logic you should get the popcorn chicken, but my boyfriend and I ended up getting vermicelli noodle with ground pork, szechuan style beef stomach, and the seafood fried noodle (my fave). The portions are decently sized and it's probably the best Chinese (predominantly Szechuanese) food you'll get around Springfield, will be returning.

This is a cute spot In Chinatown at the corner of race street. They serve yunnan noodles which are basically deconstructed noodles. The soup comes in a hot stone pot and all the toppings and noodles are on the side. Toppings include a mix of vegetables like corn, lettuce, pickled vegetables and wood ear mushrooms and a few slices of ham, a quail eggs and fish cake. The soup and stone bowl are super hot so the meal is still piping hot after all the cold stuff is out in. Overall the soup was flavorful. The only complaint is that noodles had a bleachy taste to it. Service was standard. Overall a nice warm meal on a cold day

We were quickly seated on a packed Saturday afternoon. We ordered the soybean milk (large), fried bread stick, sliced beef & tripe in hot chili oil and lamb stew noodle soup. The sliced beef & tripe in hot chili oil was pretty good. The star of the show was the lamb stew noodle. The portion is huge and very well priced. The noodles and broth were great. The soybean milk and fried bread stick are on the breakfast menu and we got them in the afternoon: the fried bread stick was not great as it seemed like it has been sitting out for a bit after being fried this morning. The soybean milk was ok, but it seemed like it was a bit burnt/overcooked.You definitely only come here for the food, and not much for the atmosphere. If you come as a solo diner or party of 2, you might be seated with someone else/another small party. They take credit cards (min. $10; no processing fee).

I'm only writing this because of my extreme greed. I want this place to stay busy and open for many years to come. Def seek them out! This is my secret hidden fave spot to grab ramen. When you are done with your ramen order up some inari to go. You're belly is stuffed now with slurpable noodles and swimming in porky tonkatsu BUT hold up. You know later you won't want a full meal but you want a lil somethin something, then you remember that your past self read this lil PRO TIP about your lil inari snack stash hahaha. ****located within the Hmart food court****

"Banana Leaf offers quick and affordable Malaysian food. I was craving a hearty meal and had never tried Malaysian cuisine before so I gave it a go. A table for me and my two colleagues was available immediately during the lunch rush. This place is huge! The waiters and waitresses walk around with pitchers of water to give refills anytime they're needed. The staff working behind the counter were nice; welcoming us on the way in and greeting us on our way out. I ordered the Banana Leaf Mango Sauce with tofu. There is also an option of chicken, shrimp, or beef. The sauce was smooth and not spicy (I didn't want to burn my face off). The mango was cut into medium slivers and the tofu was crispy. The only thing I wish it had come with was rice, however, the rice was an extra $1.50 so I opted to have it sans rice. I boxed the leftovers and will probably add rice at home. Overall, I had a good experience here! They have several vegetarian options and can even customize existing dishes to include vegetables and substitute meat for tofu."
"I don't think Sang Kee deserves less than a 4-star rating. It Szechuan lunch specials are affordable, tasty, and authentic, definitely worth becoming a regular lunch spot just to try the food. Service was quick and easy, and the restaurant is clean. For reference, my bf and I tried the double cooked pork belly and mapo tofu, which is vegan but tastes good without the animal ingredients. The szechuan peppers are especially apparent in the mapo tofu, which was a plus for me. Not too spicy either."
"I have driven by Pho Ben City hundreds of times. I stopped by for pho and banh mi. At the register, my total was double what I expected from online menu photos. I asked the gentleman about these things, and he said prices changed. I asked for a menu, but he said the order has not arrived. I asked if there was a current website with menu prices, but he said no. I guess the lesson here is to be prepared to lay an arbitrary price for mediocre banh mi and coconut soup.Maybe a second try (not on a Monday) will set the hook for me?"
"Tried the bum bo hue this time. Very good, but was expecting the tomato base broth. Overall good experience."
"I've dined in and gotten take-out a few times from this location. The menu is extensive, with traditional offerings, which is always a welcome sight.Whenever I see authentic Chinese cuisine offered at a local Chinese restaurant, I always have to order something. It's not that common out here in the burbs. I've always had a positive experience dining in here and the food for takeout is always piping hot and well-seasoned."
"Chinatown in Philly continues to spoil me with the amount of regional Chinese options that you can try and taste for yourself. Here at Ming River, you can try some great Fuzhou food famous in Southeast China across from Taiwan. The restaurant is a bit small and feels more like a cafeteria than anything. However, you don't come here for the ambiance but for the home-cooking style cuisine you can't get anywhere else.My dinner date with my old friend ended up here at her favorite restaurant in town. Prices are "cheap" on their extensive menu and she recommended that we try at least one stir-fry noodle and soup. We ordered two Oyster Pancakes ($1 each), Pig Liver Soup, and their Vermicelli Noodle Stir-Fry. I was immediately a huge fan of the soup and was happy that we ordered the tangy stew. Overall, our dinner was good and I was satisfied with the flavors and quantity.Quick note - After reading up on some review's about the cost and payment, it made me rethink our bill and the amount I ended up paying. We also did not receive an itemized receipt with prices and after paying, I realized that the numbers seemed higher than what I had thought. FYI- we ordered about $22 worth of food but were charged $27... is $5 for tax reasonable? Ask for the menu and receipt and avoid another issue here.Make sure to also have cash for this establishment."
"The Collegeville honeygrow is very nice, nicer than the KOP location. The service is better too. Highly recommended if you're in the area and want a quick non-sandwich meal."
"Had to come and viet this place to see if it was legit. There was an old Vietnamese man smoking a cigarette outside so we were pretty sure it was going to bistro good and we were right!I used to go to Huong Tram/Nam Son all the time when I lived here and I love The Breakfast Den but it's so great that there's a traditional Vietnamese place in Grad Hospital again! I recognized one of the waiters from Huong Tram I think and my friend recognized another from another closed Viet restaurant at 11th and Washington so it's so nice to see familiar faces again!Food:Egg rolls (cha gio)- usually call these spring rolls but either way they're delicious, fried and stuffed with pork.Spring rolls- usually call these summer rolls but, again, so delicious we forgot to take a pic. Shrimp and pork Pho Tai- we ordered Tai Nam but they brought the wrong one. Either way, good amount of meat, good broth (not as amazing as Washington Ave, but still good).Banh mi- ordered the BBQ pork and they brought out the wrong one, but brought out this one when we told them- toasty fresh bread, delicious meat, watch out for the jalapenos!Lemongrass beef bun (vermicelli)- great flavor beef and sauceGood size portions, great price, delicious food, quick service, and BYOB! Just double check when you order and get your food that you got the right thing. Hoping all the people who learned to love fusion Viet food from TBD migrate over here and support Viet Bistro too!"
"Super friendly. Great selection. Reasonable prices. Great atmosphere to eat in, or pick up takeout for dinner on the couch. The gentleman even served me some jasmine tea while I waited for my takeout order."
"We got a team takeout order via DoorDash and the food was made so fast. The food was amazing. We were super surprised by how good the rayaki fries were!! I got the black garlic ramen and it was delicious. I'll be back later this week to try out their curry rice dishes. Can't wait! Everyone on my team loved their food."
"Surprisingly decent Vietnamese food in the Havertown area. The broken rice dishes and pho were both good! Super comforting and flavorful dishes. The restaurant itself is spacious with plenty of seating. Service was friendly and attentive. Bathroom was pretty dirty which could use improvement. The other speciality entrees were not too noteworthy, but I do recommend a classic rice with grilled meat or pho from Hanoi's."
"Saigon Noodle Bar is a great addition to the Chestnut Hill Farmers Market bringing Vietnamese cooking to Chestnut Hill. You can eat at this stand in the market or at a table outside ... or just do takeout as I did. They'll give you a beeper to alert you when your order is ready so you can shop in the market or go buy a beer and claim your outdoor table if you are eating there and the weather is nice. Now the food ranged from great to decent. I loved the Chao Tom! This famous shrimp mixture wrapped around sugar cane is a special treat from the Hue region of Vietnam. At Saigon Noodle Bar it was expertly prepared and the accompanying fish sauce added to its flavors. The Cha Gio were also good and well filled. I like dipping these in fish sauce as well but at this point I was running low of the one sauce portion they included. That became more of a problem to me with my main dish of Bun Thit Nu'o'ng. It was okay but I need some sauce for the noodles, veggies, and salad ... or some seasoning. Fish sauce would work fine but I had used all mine up. Note to restaurant - put in two portions of fish sauce and not just one! Fortunately since I was at home I could make up a nice & spicy Thai sauce (ok I know it's not Vietnamese) and it worked well with the noodles and salad. I don't want to fail to mention that the staff working at this Vietnamese eatery were very friendly ... and probably would have given me more sauce if I had known at the time of purchase how little was included. I would def return to Saigan Noodle Bar but switch up my main course. The Chao Tom, however, I would easily order again!"
"Delicious Pad See Ew with fresh veggies. The cozy restaurant doesn't have much space for indoor seating and just a take-out spot. The Pad See Ew featured thick al dente noodles with a heap of fresh veggies - peppers, broccoli, squash, carrots, green beans, corn. I was impressed by the variety and freshness of the veggies. I wasn't a fan of the stiff tofu and tossed out the cubes of tofu. Overall, the dish hit the spot and the restaurant satisfied my sweet and savory craving, true to its name!"
"Some of the best Thai food available. The chef and her husband make a great team. The chicken and curry, red curry, and papaya salads are crazy good"
"Spontaneously stumbled upon the newest soup dumpling place in Chinatown after getting bubble tea from my favorite place - chi San. I read an inquirer article saying how this was a Michelin recommended restaurant and would be open soon! I think it's been opened only a couple weeks when we stopped in! No wait when we got there, no reservations needed but it filled up quickly. Ambience is nice, clean and spacious. Waitstaff were super friendly and spoke English. We ended up at a table where the HVAC had water condensation dripping on us but they were quick to offer us a different table, we declined and just kept the food away from the water drops lol. Since it was just 2 of us, couldn't order as much as we would have me wanted but we tried! The piggy custard buns were delish - maybe a little more custard and it would have been perfect. The scallion pancakes were meh. Interesting they tasted like a mix between scallion pancakes and naan - I prefer the super crispy version and this one was softer. The soup dumplings were the star of the show! We sadly only got one order and chose the snow crab and pork ones, sooooooo good! The dough is lighter, the broth and filling were well seasoned and tasty - would have liked just a bit more broth and it would also have been perfect. I am a soup dumpling aficionado, from dim sum garden all the way to cherry hill's nan Xiang and a whole bunch in between - luscious dumplings has the BEST overall pork soup dumpling."
"Love this spot! I came hungry and left stuffed. Food is top notch and I find myself coming back time and time again. I've had the pho and thought it was spectacularly seasoned. The grilled chicken summer rolls are really tasty and a great addition to any meal. I love the shredded chicken bahn mi, the bread they use is great and they've nailed the mayo, meat, toppings ratio so that the sandwich is not dry and filled with flavor! I've tried the grilled short ribs option and it's very good. Service is always kind and patient. The space is bright and clean. Lots of tables to eat in but I also get take out from here. I hope to keep coming back for a long time!"
"Jajangmyun is solid here, exactly what you would expect. Would recommend coming here if you are stopping by hmart!"
"This cute Thai restaurant is located at the corner of 8th and Moyamensing. So convenient to get to by bus 47 as it stops on the corner. There was only one girl at the counter. She was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. There are about 20 seats. Appetizer: crisp shrimp wraps: medium size shrimp, very crunchy with sweet chili dipping sauce. It's ok.Thai glazed chicken wings: 5 wings per serving. Came out super hot. Wait until they cool down a bit so you don't burn your hands and mouth. They are delicious but messy as the glaze is sticky. I recommend bringing wet wipes. Papaya salad: fresh and authentic, not too acidic as it was balanced with sweetness from palm sugar. I asked for it not spicy. It has sliced grape tomatoes and snake beans topped with generous amounts of crushed peanuts. Highly recommend.Drunken noodles: the chicken was flavorful but the beef was a bit tough and very sweet."
"Was in manayunk with the family and has such a great " stumble upon" experience at this restaurant! There are so many restaurants packed down the strip of manayunk and it was really hard to choose. What made this choice easy was that they had the most food options my daughter would like on the menu lol walking in the atmosphere was so beautiful and service was immediately welcoming and let us know the kitchen was closing within 30 minutes but we could take our time ordering. I ordered Thai tea along with some pad Thai because I can't help but want to try these two items everywhere I go. We also ordered the fresh spring rolls. My favorite thing was definitely the pad thai which was made traditional with the cilantro and sprinkles of peanuts everywhere which I love. Some places don't use onion sprouts but I really love that this place does. My daughter really loved her chicken skewers which is the biggest win. I can't wait to intentionally dine here again."
"This place is not usually crowded when I visit but you can then it's a hidden gem for the people in the area. The food is fresh and delicious. The portions are large enough and the service is always very friendly. Restaurant is clean, and well kept."
"Got a Hunan chicken takeout lunch from Wing Hing. Paid $1.50 extra for the all white meat option. Hunan is supposed to be spicy but with a lot of flavor. It lived up to its reputation. Definitely will get again."
"I've never really visited China so I can't really call myself an expert. But over time, Sichuan food has become comfort food, even though I'm always reaching for the spiciest options and sweating/burning (aka loving it). Chengdu has been a staple favorite ever since I set foot in Philadelphia in 2019. I've tried many of the popular, more famous joints in the city and kept coming back here. Even after moving out of Philly and finding favorites in NJ (which in my opinion has some of the best Sichuan food, way better than NYC), Chengdu holds a special place in my heart. We came to Philly after a year and had to make a pit stop here despite being quite full. The Master's Special Diced Chicken (T5) is something I've not found anywhere else (or as good, at least) - crispy, filled with spice, has you sweating soon (even with regular spice levels), and something we tend to order on most visits here. We paired it with the Red dragon wonton (W4) this time, which has a sweet/tingly broth and is delicious yet light. I packed a large side of rice after wrapping up the leftover chicken and the person didn't even charge me for it. I don't know if I could not love this place, ever. Other favorites include the Dan Dan noodles, fish in chili oil, dry pot, scallion pancakes...Okay, have to visit Philly more often."
