My husband and I love Korean bbq. So when I saw that this place has good ratings, we decided to give it a try.It is conveniently located near Chinatown, bus stop, and 676. Spacious, sleek, high industrial ceiling, and clean. Bright light at each table. In the wall near the cashier, there are paintings of of men in traditional Korean clothing. On the other side of the wall there are two televisions. One is showing a music video ok K-pop with no sound. Hip hop music is playing but not too loud. Upon entering, we were greeted by a friendly hostess who directed us to the table. Our waiter was very friendly, attentive, and engaging. He offered refills for our side dishes a couple of times. He explained that the restaurant has been opened for 9 months. Weekend can be busy.We ordered bulgogi and spicy pork belly to be cooked on the barbecue plate. They also have menu items that are cooked in the kitchen. Our orders come with refillable side dishes served on small plates: fish cakes, kimchi, fermented beans spread, rice, a mini dollop of mashed potato and corn, and cabbage. We also get a bowl of salad to be shared. The barbecue plate is slanted with three sections at the rim for more side dishes: cheese and corn, bean sprouts, and steamed egg made fresh as our waiter poured the liquid egg into the compartment. I've never seen such design. It allows the grease flows down. First, raw onion and beech mushrooms are put on the grill plate then they are mixed with bulgogi. The meat is ready in a short time and not burnt. My favorite side dish is the cheese and corn. As the plate gets hotter, the cheese is melting so you can see cheese pull. So yummy. The exhaust system is well designed. Our clothes don't smell like barbecue at all.It was a fun dining experience for us.There's a sign that says if you bring the receipt from Me. Pig to Hey Yogurt, you can get 20 percent off.

Time to get serious. My husband and I decided to celebrate our anniversary in Philly and stumbled upon a Korean BBQ joint at the edge of Chinatown in a new building.I had high hopes for this new spot, so I proposed the idea to my husband. We headed there for dinner around 6pm. It was still early for a Saturday dinner, so there were some empty tables, but the restaurant was slowly getting filled up with large group reservations by the time we left.To start off with their ambiance, it was great. The place was playing Kpop music in the background, creating a festive atmosphere. A local Korean BBQ vibe in the table setting was a nice touch. The servers were attentive and on point. They made sure our drinks were always filled and cooked our BBQ to perfection. And let's not forget about the food. The side dishes and meat quality were top-notch, fresh, and well-seasoned. We also had to try bibimbob on top of our meat combo. And it was very satisfying. I'm thrilled we discovered this gem. I hope they can open one in Northern VA. Highly recommended!

Walked in on a Wednesday summer night and was quickly seated as there were only a few other filled tables. The restaurant is huge so can't imagine there's ever a super long wait. You sit at a table with 4-5 seats around a grill which is filled with a couple of additional sides separate from the banchan--a super unique feature that I haven't seen in the past and really enjoyed (except that I had to wait for the steamed egg to cook). Also the waitstaff cooks the meat for you and even tells you when the meat is ready to eat!Food honestly hit the spot. Toppokki was great texture and not too spicy. Soybean soup came out perfect temperature and was not too salty as some other places can be. As for the meat, I would say it's about the same as your standard Korean bbq place. We got the mix and match for 2-3 and ordered a half serving of the kalbi and it was plenty for 2 very hungry people in addition to our sides. I deducted a star bc towards the end I'm not sure if the waitstaff wandered off or if they assumed we'd eat it all but the pork belly had stayed in the middle of the grill too long and gotten burnt :( additionally you have to pay extra for white rice which I just don't like on principle even if it's becoming standard for some Asian restaurants. Overall definitely worth trying out if you're craving Korean / korean bbq!

Came here for lunch with a group of 4 on a Sunday morning and it was fairly empty. One of the better places that serves korean BBQ in the area but it is quite pricey! It is a la carte style and not ayce. We orderd the pork and beef combo for 2 , the dukbokki, and cold noodles, and soy bean stew. It was enough to feed all 4 of us for lunch. The serving size of the dukbokki was really small for 18 dollars. Overall, food was good but really pricey! The side dishes were really good and they give you a salad as well.

The service was truly outstanding!! Every single server was so so kind and fun, and they kept refilling our side dishes! You sit in round tables of 4-5, with a grill in the middle. The server grills for you, so you can truly enjoy your meal. We ordered the 2 person combo with both pork and beef. The servers helped us cook everything, and I loved the free ring of bean sprouts, egg, and corn cheese! Cold noodles were so refreshing and loved the cold salty broth it came with. Was yummy even without it! A bit overpriced, but still yummy regardless.

Solid KBBQ place! I love the mix and match combo. Service is fantastic. Inside has an industrial feel which gives a modern and upscale vibe. I would love more banchan/new varieties. Kimchi could be a little more acidic/sour, and I'd kill for spicy cucumber salad or spicy radish salad

Enjoyed a group dinner at Mr. Pig for Korean BBQ. Loved the friendly service--and that they cooked/cut the meat for us--, the open-and-airy feel of the space, and that the vent hoods kept the cooking smoke out of the air. While the banchan was not our favorite--the kimchi needed more curing time--the appetizers (kimchi seafood pancake, pan-fried dumpling, and cheese duk bokki) were piping hot and tasty, loved the cheesy corn grill-side, the meat was all good quality, and the kimchi soondubu had fantastic flavor. One note, it would have been nice to have some salt element available on the table to pump up the two dipping sauces provided to each diner--the galbi needed it.

Service: 4/5 -- Offered bonchon refills, but got my order wrongFood: 3/5 -- only ordered two dishes, would try bbq next timeArrived for lunch but they no longer have a lunch menu. I ordered the Seafood Tofu Soup and my boyfriend ordered the bulgogi dolsot/hot stone bibimbap. After placing the order, the waitress repeated my order and I confirmed the two dishes again. When the soup came out, it was just tofu, onions, zucchini and an egg. I was surprised to see a seafood soup without any seafood, but the flavor was good. I was at fault for not saying anything and kept eating. When the check came around, I realized they messed up my order and it was a vegetable soodubu. I wish I spoke up, because the soodubu was very boring without any meat or seafood. The dolsot was just okay, not my favorite, but not the worst. The sauce didn't do it for me, felt like it was missing something.I would try again to give this place a fair chance.

Decent option given the location, but a bit sterile and lacking the real charcoal flavor that KBBQ is known for. If you're unwilling to drive 20 min for better, this is fine.

Mr Pig is a set menu/a-la-carte K-BBQ restaurant newly opened in the Callowhill area! Although it's not all-you-can-eat, the BBQ combos' portion sizes are extremely generous and you are more than satisfied with the variety that is provided. Pricing is reasonable given the portions. The meats are decently marinated and flavorful. The only downside I encountered was that the banchan was limited and they charge $2.50 for lettuce or rice which is normally provided to complement any KBBQ cuisine. The grill at the table is highly efficient with a glazed center for the meats and compartments for corn cheese and steamed egg provided. There's a vent conveniently above the grill for ventilation too. The service is fast to bring everything out and help cook most of the meats. The restaurant ambience is bright, modern, and upbeat. Upon 7 PM on a Thursday night, the restaurant was completely packed so it can get loud.
