Kumo Sushi & Asian Bistro

The service here is always very fast and kind! The sushi is super delicious and beautifully plated. The appetizers are also delicious and very unique. 100% would recommend this restaurant to any sushi lover!

My husband and I needed some food after a long day of hiking and this spot was on our way to our hotel. Sushi is always a good idea. We shared:- Tuna Madness Roll- Dancing Lobster Roll- Sweet Heart Roll- Maple Roll- Fire Roll- Toronto Roll- Caribbean RollAll of it was delicious. There wasn't a bad roll in the bunch. It was also reasonably priced which isn't always easy to find with sushi. I will definitely be back next time I'm traveling in the area.

This place is a must try for sushi lovers. I am not, I get beef or chicken teriyaki, and maybe a California roll, but overall do not care for sushi or sashimi. I can say that everyone I was with LOVED theirs though, and it looked amazing. Really good plating going on here. My chicken teriyaki was solid, as was their ginger dressing. We had a work lunch here with 10 people and service was great. They took our order promptly and had our souls and salads out quick, with our meals coming soon after. We did get there just before the lunch rush, at 11:45, so that helped, but it did get busy quick. The ambience is nice too. High ceilings, clean atmosphere, nice view of the sushi chefs. Plenty of parking, particularly while Margaritas is closed across the street. If you like sushi, definitely give this place a go!

I've been to Kumo a handful of times and never wrote a review yet because I wasn't sure how I felt about my experiences overall. However, dinner tonight really solidified my thoughts. I had reserved a table for a party of 8 a week in advance. I called a few days later to see if I could add another table of 4 to the group, since 8 was the max for a table. The woman taking my call was very rude off the bat and said at first she could not accommodate another table of 4 under my name even though I knew there were tables available. She then complied a bit and said she could reserve another table of 4 under my name. I thanked her and asked if there was any way that table could be close to the table of 8. She said she couldn't guarantee that and I said, "Okay, thank you. That's fine." She then very unnecessarily quipped, "I hope there's not an argument about it tonight." WHAT ON EARTH? I never even implied an argument or was argumentative in my tone. I had actually told her it was fine if the table of 4 wasn't close to the table of 8. When everyone all arrived and got seated, I realized that the table of 4 was the next table over from the table of 8. However, the table of 4 was still separate and a good 10-12 feet away. For the table of 4, two of my friends showed up, so I asked if they could bring their seats over or push the table to be adjacent to the table of 8. The same woman was rude and argumentative and said that could not be done whatsoever. It was so sad that my two friends had to be ostracized from everyone else, and they virtually ate by themselves since they weren't within earshot of our table. Kumo won't be getting my business again.

Diverse menu, great for vegetarians and delicious sweet potato tempura roll! The Lychee Iced Tea is sweet and refreshing with no added sugar just with the natural sweetness of the lychee. I wasn't a big fan of the Vegetarian Tofu Soup. While the Enoki mushrooms, chunks of tofu, and bok choy were tasty, the savory broth was a miss. The miso broth is more flavorful and wish it was the base broth. For $7, the soup was underwhelming and missed the mark. The Miso Soup is really a bang for your buck at only $2.50. The crispy Sweet Potato Roll topped with a sweet dubbed eel vegetarian sauce was divine! The crunchy Avocado Peanut Roll was a miss. The avocado was under ripe. Next time I'll try the Vegelicious roll with seaweed, carrots, roasted red pepper, avocado, cucumber - packed with veggies! The Lunch Special - 2 rolls for $10.50 isn't really a good deal as many rolls are $5 a pop (Salmon, California, Tuna, Sweet Potato, Avocado Roll, etc). The brown rice rolls aren't part of the special. I actually ended up saving money by skipping the special and just ordering the Sweet Potato and the Avocado Peanut rolls a la carte. Note you can get any roll with brown rice. There's no outdoor table service. There are a couple of tables outside, but you must get carry-out. Kumo is a great addition to the Providence Town Center and a relief not to see another chain restaurant! Excited to come back for the Lychee Iced Tea, Sweet Potato Roll and try the Vegelicious roll!

Best sushi spot in the area! Great service, quick, fresh food. It's our weekly go-to. Great owners and staff.

Really good sushi with lots of choices. The shrimp fried rice was also very tasty. Diligent and friendly service.

We've visited a few times in the past year. Service is excellent and timely. Dishes are fresh and priced well, great spot to BYOB, and enjoy a meal together. We (2) enjoy delicious sushi rolls, soup, and dumplings, including leaving a well-deserved generous tip for about $80 total. (Handy liquor store with refrigerated wine in the same shopping center.)

The best dumpling soup in the region. Also love the Dancing Lobster roll. Very good quality sushi. Service is also excellent. Peanut sauce on the house salad is also very good. We eat here a couple times a month.
