Sushi craving hit hard this weekend and I took to Yelp for some speedy delivery - and Kansai really said SPEEDY? Say less. I placed my order at like 6p and it was delivered at 6:20. I live quite nearby and know this will be a frequent order for me, especially given the super reasonable prices and the great menu options.I went with a sweet potato roll, gyoza, and 5 pieces of sushi, all of which was super tasty. The sweet potato roll was a little lacking in...sweet potato for me to give that the highest praise, so I think in the future I'll stick to some of their basics, since the fish was the highlight of my order and clearly what they do best (at a sushi restaurant, Megan? Groundbreaking).Looking so forward to trying more of the menu and grateful to have this spot close to home.

I wonder if we stopped by on an off night? We ordered online for pickup a several of hours before closing on a Friday and arrived right at the estimated time for pickup. We were handed a takeout bag with its top neatly tied and went home (which wasn't a far trip, less than 10 minutes).When we got home, we opened the bag to find the wateriest and soggiest sushi I have ever seen. Most of the rolls fell apart as we attempted to pick them up with first chopsticks, then our fingers, and finally we attempted to hold a taste with spoons. Each item was so unsatisfying that we gave up and couldn't even eat 90% of what we received. The rice was mushy, there was mysterious liquid at the bottom of every takeout container that was as viscous as water. The roe pearls washed off the sushi and floated around... and most disturbingly is that the octopus sashimi was so off that my guest heard and audible popping sound when I bit into it. It was like biting into fish that was defrosted in a flash after being freezerburnt.

Got a dinner bento box through DoorDash.Pros: Got here fast Everything tasted fine/good Cons:Really bad bang for your buck The California roll was mostly avocado and I've had better California rolls at cheaper places. The chicken katsu (pictured) is so thin you wonder how much meat you're getting. The mochi was a store bought mochi (not a huge surprise) so the mark-up was crazy at nearly $5 for 2 pieces. I'd probably order here again if I needed fast delivery between zoom meetings (when I forget to eat all day), but wouldn't necessarily come back.

I was dining in but they served everything in a take out box and there's no wasabi. The rolls with peanut crumbs and the other one with cheese are both warm and confusing - it doesn't taste like a typical sushi in a bad way. The soft shell crab is over fried and has no texture or juice inside.

I placed an order through Grubhub for delivery. I never received the order, though I received notice that it had been delivered. Only thereafter, upon contacting Grubhub, was my order canceled. Whether the issue was with the restaurant or with Grubhub, is not discernible. What is, is this reviewer found their experience one that left them extremely hangry. if this was an error, I hope the restaurant gives me an opportunity to give them a second chance and review their food, instead of the lack thereof.

Such a cute spot that I cant believe I've never noticed before! Really small but nice inside. Food was really good and it was ready so quickly! We ordered at around 3pm so it was pretty quiet inside but there were a few orders already ready for pickup so it must be quick service regularly. The only downside was the tuna tartare was really smushy which isn't my preference. I prefer it to be in chunks so I wasn't too excited about that. Other than that it was really good!

Ordered lunch from here for the first time and enjoyed my meal. They do not have a lunch special so I thought lunch was a bit pricey, but I'd come back for dinner. My bf and I ordered gyoza, ebi avocado roll, spicy tuna roll, futomaki roll and crabmeat shrimp roll. Only roll we disliked was the ebi avocado. It was a temaki (cone shaped) roll and something we weren't expecting at all because it never listed that on the menu. Shrimp was fresh but nothing special about the roll so I wouldn't order it again. Miso soup costs $2.75 and salad costs $3.50, which is insane since it's usually complimentary.All the rolls were fresh which is why I would come back.

The spot is very convenient for me to pick up and tame my sushi craving during the pandemic. It's available on all order apps and the price isn't bad. However the sushi quality is just average, some fish are okay (tuna and red clams) but some are subpar (ex. White tuna was not fresh tasting and Salmon roes are not plum any more and smelled fishy).I ordered soft shell crab, for ~$9 it came with like half a crab, tiny as one prawn... so not worth the price.For real sushi/sashimi lovers this might not be the go-to spot for you... but for beginners and roll lovers this might be an okay place.

We order from Kansai all the time and usually food is very good to excellent, so hate to leave a bad review. But today the rolls we normally order were just slightly off, didn't taste quite as fresh. The worst offender though was "Out of control roll", which was a 2 for 1 special. We've tried specials before, always with good success. Sadly, this turned out to be an unmitigated disaster. Described as "Spicy crabmeat shrimp avocado deep-fried spicy mayo eel sauce on the top" (a little vague, but intriguing) it turned out to be a sushi roll that was battered and deep fried then sliced with sauce drizzled on top. The battered coating was soggy and soft. Rice and avocado got overcooked and tasted like glutenous paste. Fake crab didn't help, but that didn't really matter since the other ingredients made the whole thing inedible. An unfortunate $13.95 experiment :(
