Happy Wok II

OK this is an extension of Happy Wok and they make it fresh. You want to call ahead to order, it so you don't have to sit and wait for it. they do not deliver, which is the only downfall but I'm sure you could order through DoorDash or something like that. The food is delicious and my favorite is shrimp. Szechuan shrimp very good with lots of vegetable and there's so much shrimp nice large size shrimp I think there's 10 to 12 large shrimp in it and it's enough for two dinners, full dinners very nice and rice and very good, my husband likes to get the bourbon chicken and he loves it

Tried Happy Wok II after going to another place on the same block last week. We had the following: Soups Hot and Sour: Tofu, lots of big onion strips, mushrooms, shredded carrots. The onions detracted from the soup. It filled me up but was just OK. Wonton Egg Drop: Lots of big wontons and plenty of egg.AppetizerSteamed Chicken Dumplings: Pretty good, I liked the fact that they have something other than pork or vegetable and this went well with the hot and sour soup. EntreesMa Po Tofu: Firm Tofu with peas, carrots and some mushrooms, mild sauce. What you would expect from your takeout Chinese place here. Down to earth after my last fiery ma po tofu entree from Noodle Eighty Eight.Walnut Shrimp: Big shrimp, walnuts and broccoli.Service: Friendly. Had to wait just a few minutes on a Friday night. Parking: Spaces out front with two hour parking on Saxer Avenue. Convenient. SEPTA: Just up the street at Saxer & Rolling. 101 Trolley. Overall: It was OK, we'd try more of their menu if in the area again.

I was eyeballing them today as I sat in my car having coffee outside of Napolitano's. Saw they had great Yelp reviews albeit only 19 of them.They're about to get their 20th. The flavor of everything was really a notch above so many others. My wife raved about the Dragon and Phoenix. She was surprised at the size and taste of the shrimp. My son loved his chicken teriyaki so much that he polished off the full bag. The sweet and sour trifecta I got of chicken, shrimp, and pork was tremendous. You can tell it's a notch above. And I even loved the cheesesteak egg roll which is becoming an obsession of mine. Hidden gem comes to mind.

This is my local Chinese takeout place. As a kid it was a special treat to go to Chinatown in Philly and have a meal with my family. So when I am feeling nostalgic and missing my parents, I head here and get old school takeout. Everything I purchased is for me and will keep me free from cooking all weekend. First chicken and rice soup, a light broth, perfectly cooked white rice and chicken. That's it. It is a good choice if you want something light. I paired it with vegetarian spring rolls and had them for lunch. The spring rolls are crisp and not too oily, with a great flavor from the celery cabbage filling. For dinner chicken chow mein and white rice takes me back to my childhood. Again very simply made with celery, onion, chicken and sauce. The vegetables are fresh and crisp, the chicken plentiful. Tomorrow I will enjoy vegetable mei fun. Rice noodles topped with mushrooms, broccoli, celery, onion and sauce. Always tasty from this little restaurant. So it's nice to go down memory lane with a trip around the corner. I am we also given two bags of chow mein noodles and 2 fortune cookies. Satisfying for me and I get to support a family owned local restaurant. Yeah!

I continue to love this place. Great selection and high quality with good prices. Best Chinese on Saxer, maybe anywhere. No loss of service or selection dues to COVID. Very secure, COVID free transactions.

I would give this 5 stars and would def order again. I work in Springfield for 2 years plus n this is my first time odering. Fried rice is the real deal unlike those other Chinese takeout who puts a crap load of food coloring to make their rice look golden brown. Ordered lunch special shrimp n broccoli. The shrimp sare huge n the broccoli is fresh. Love it!!

So this was my first time going here & I was disappointed not so much with the food but the service. I spent almost $30 & the server did not tell me I qualified for any of the coupons. I also did not receive any utensils or condiments. Well that will be the last time I eat from here.

Great chinese takeout. Food is good and reasonably priced. I always call ahead to order and it's ready by the time I arrive. Also don't remember them ever getting my order wrong. My go-tos and recommendations are the chicken wings, hot and sour soup, beef with broccoli, and sesame chicken.

We are always pleased and very satisfied with whatever we get from Happy Wok. Even their saucy dishes always have crisp fresh veggies in it. If you would really like to splurge and go off your current diet, make sure to order the PU PU Platter for two. This protein packed treat is so worth the calories! They are always very nice and the service is great. Even when they are at their peak times. Give them a try... You'll be very glad you did.
