"Dined here on a beautiful September Saturday night. Effie's was doing a brisk business and had outdoor tables both in their courtyard and on the sidewalk on Quince street. Tables were a good distance apart. There was hand sanitizer on each table. Servers wore masks and used gloves.I ordered the Chicken Souvlaki Plate with Tzatziki, rice and vegetable of the day. It was very good and the chicken was grilled nicely. My dining partners had the Octopus and the Grilled Lamb Chops. I had some of the lamb and it was quite good, with very tasty seasoning.Service was friendly and attentive all night."
"It's been a while since I've dined here because they stopped serving lunch following the pandemic. Last night two friends and I met for dinner, and it was one of the best experiences I've ever had here!I had made a reservation for 5:30pm. We all arrived early and they were happy to seat us early. They were starting to get busy (by the time we left the place was completely packed!). Our server, Mirabel (?), was wonderful -- very friendly, attentive, and accurate. Since it was the others' first time, I insisted they try the Estia Chips, which are a crowd favorite. Indeed, it was better than I'd remembered; in fact, one of the gentlemen in our party said it was "the best zucchini he's ever had." The house bread and hummus were also delicious; their hummus is one of the best.I opted for the Avgolemono (soup) and Dolmades as my meal -- both of which I've had on multiple prior occasions. Portions and temperatures were perfect and the flavor was out of this world! We all enjoyed glasses of wine (rose for me). No dessert as we were all pretty full.I am so happy I had a chance to come back and will continue to recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area. My friends were highly impressed and said it was worth every penny!"

"Estia was a proximity and availability dinner decision. It was getting late and my team was exhausted so we were looking for something nearby. I open my Open Table app and filtered for 5 people, tonight, and a few options came up. My coworkers opted for Greek, so that is how we got to the decision of Estia. Our local colleagues mentioned it was a good pick. The restaurant looked upscale and dim lit. There were some couples at the corner tables making out when we were entering, so it's probably also a date night spot. They provided complimentary bread and my team shared a recommended Estia Chips ($20) and Spread Pikilia ($18) which comes with pita and 3 spreads in which we picked the Htipiti, Melitzanosalata, and Potato Skordalia. For our entrees, my team ordered the Moussaka ($26), Tuna Tartare ($21), Arugula Salata ($16) with added Grilled Chicken (+$7), and Lobster Linguini ($45). I had their Chilean Sea Bass Plaki ($50). The group seemed to really enjoy the food. I actually liked the appetizers more than I liked my entrée. I love sea bass and tend to order it when I see it on the menu but this sea bass was really acidic with the sauces and the portion size was small from being the most expensive thing ordered. The staff here is obsessed with clearing your plate, sometimes before you're even ready. When this lady was trying to grab one of the appetizers, my coworker said she was still working on it and the funny thing is that they took my coworkers individual plate away. Struggles. We were like, I guess you eat off the serving plate? And then when she was clearing my other coworkers plate, she threw their fork and knife into my plate. I wasn't done lady. Sigh. Fine, take it away. For a high end fine dining priced restaurant, I don't like feeling rushed with the food getting cleared before I'm done with it. This place has potential, but they have some things to work on."
"Very laid back spot with ample seating in the back. Came here on a Saturday afternoon and left absolutely stuffed and satisfied. Definitely recommend this spot for a lunch or dinner on the cheaper side. Service was friendly and helpful as well. Lamb/Beef Gyro Sandwich: Solid gyro stuffed with meat, fries, sauce, and onions. This is a pretty filling one, so pairing it with apps is sure to fill you up. The meat was seasoned pretty well, and overall, this is just a great dish. Spanakopita: Nicely sized, this spinach pastry was very tasty with a good amount of cheese inside. Recommended. Value: 5/5Quality: 4/5Quantity: 5/5Service: 5/5Atmosphere: 5/5"
"Amazing Greek food and friendly service from everyone, thanks for the birthday song for my husband...lots of great memories of the time. Highly recommended for all!"
"Ambiance: Quaint, clean; second floor was loud, hard to have a conversation.Service: Very friendly and attentive.Drinks: BYOB.Food: Lamp kabob - meal was good.Parking: City parking, probably have to walk a block or two. Value: OK, not cheap. $26 for ONE skewer w/ hummus, sautéed vegetables, and organic brown rice pilaf.Pleasant experience, will revisit."
"A recommendation from a sweet lady at the Keswick Theater. We got seated immediately. Our sever was attentive. ()We ordered Beet salad, lemon chicken soup, and dolma. If I had my ukelele I would definitely strum a Love Song about The Beet salad being so amazing. Very special very flavorful fresh and delicious. The dolma was served hot. It was so very delightful. Perfect shape. Delicious taste! The chicken soup had perfect amount of lemon. I've never had this before and I was so happy to try it. I loved it.Delightful Greek decor . The tiles are quite charming. The owner came by and let us know that his wife makes the desserts . Of course. I'm so delighted to try some thing she created specifically. We ordered baklava."
"Local gem. Delicious homemade style food made with great flavor. Appreciate this unique cultural food option."
"What a time warp this place is. Classic Greek-run diner with decor to whip you right into 1980.Pastels, linoleum, and those ever-so oddly placed statues.Give this place another 5 years and maybe just a table top reno and this place will be the next retro hub coming totally full circle.[please get those table top music machines that you can flip through pages of songs and play for a quarter!! Lean all the way into it!!!Extensive menu- of course. But went with a Turkey and cranberry sandwich (comes with chips)Slippery dumpling order with chickenAnd a chocolate milkshake (hold the whipped)Service was pleasant and attentive. Food came out quickly. And for a $24 dinner, I really can't say much.Plenty of parking. Big ol neon sign outside so you can't miss it. For an off the beat, local diner in sort of the middle of nowhere, did the job.Over heard a few other customers talking about having ate there earlier for breakfast now coming back the same day for dinner so I'm sure the locals love it. Seems the kind of place where they get a lot of regulars."
"We got takeout from here last night for the first time and it was great. We got the falafel, chicken gyro, Greek salad and lemon potatoes. Everything was fresh and delicious. Felt like the prices were very reasonable for the food quality. We will definitely be ordering again!"
"Still another well-deserved 5 star rating. This time I indulged myself and ordered the Moustakki Sampler Platter. I chose pork (belly) gyro, falafel, and steak souvlaki with rice and Greek salad and tzaziki sauce. Each platter comes with bread, the same pillowy soft bread that their sandwiches use. The pork was good, the falafel better, and the steak... whoaaaa.... that was the best of all. Thank goodness it wasn't cheesesteak meat but rather big chunks of steak on a stick. Two of them! It was all a treat to eat. I can eat a lot and I swear this is a massive portion of food in one platter. No complaints here! Don't be afraid of the price. It's totally worth it!"

A little slice of paradise! I've been on the search for authentic Greek food for some time. Was recommend Effie's and it simply knocked my socks off. The grilled pita is EVERYTHING and the rice is cooked to perfection with whatever entree you get. We sat in the courtyard and it was simply picturesque. Our waiter could not have been nicer and made sure we were taken care of. He even brought out a water dish for our pup who joined us for dinner. I am absolutely bringing family and friends back here asap!

Came here for my mom's birthday this past weekend and it was such a great experience! for some reason, quite a few restaurants in PA do not allow dogs in their outdoor seating tables and this was one of the very few restaurants that did! So glad since the food, service and environment exceeded our expectations! It was everyone's first time at a Greek restaurant and i would definitely come back

If you like Greek food you're going to enjoy Estia. Service was excellent could not have asked for a better server. She knew the menu and was able to explain the different dishes and help us decide. The decor was Greek as we hoped it would be. The food was excellent as we knew be.We enjoyed Estia and will be back

After a morning at the Elmwood Park Zoo, my family and I came here for a quick lunch. The food was surprisingly really good and satisfying. I got the lamb and beef gyro and my husband had the chicken skewer platter with fries. The pita bread here is so good (fresh, warm and soft) but the tzatziki could be better (too thick and not enough flavor). The entire meal was very heavy because of the fries, but the salad helped cut some of the grease. Definitely give this place a try if you're in the area and looking for quick and good Greek food.

Very welcoming!Ambiance is great and easy to get in..I went early for dinner around 5pm.Great menu with all things Greek.Food was flavorful and portions were excellent. Huge value. Oscar server was attentive and very cordial. My whole experience was amazing. Kudos and keep up the great work! It's BYOB.
Visit Restaurant Page"The gyros here are top notch. It's everything you'd want from a gyro food cart and more. You can get a fresh and decadent salad instead of fries for a few extra bucks. I know the gyros look really skinny in the foil but they are camera shy. They are actually massive once you get them out of their shiny shell. They are growers (not showers)Food is made to order so I always call ahead, this way my food is waiting for me upon arrival. Nothing beats a well timed dinner pick upPlenty of parking too if are driving in from the burbs"
"Tried it for first time. Overall very good. This is basically set up like Chipotle but for Greek food. You pick out if you want pita or a bowl. Pick you protein of gyro or chicken. We both got gyro which was excellent. The toppings were very good and they didn't skimp. The Greek salad topping was a little strong on the vinegar but next time I will just order the tomato, onion and cucumber separately. We also got two pieces of spanakopita which we weren't thrilled with the filling. No feta seen or tasted. Kayanna helped us and was wonderful and patient. She explained everything which was helpful especially since this was our first time. She is definitely an asset to this business."
"This is one of the new hot spots of philly and i can see why! The vibe and ambience is very meditarranean modern vibes but I wasn't loving the music, i felt like i was in a club and made it feel very hectic. we started with a cocktail that had aloe in it, it was way too sour for me and not enough aloe, not a fan.i then got the tuna crispy rice and the octopus. the crispy rice was okay, i've definitely had better and the rice was way too gummy and got stuck on my teeth. it wasn't "melt in your mouth" like i'm used to. the octopus though was DELICIOUS definitely my favorite dish of the nightwe then got the lobster pasta and the lavraki. both were good! the lobster pasta had a decent amount of lobster in it and the lavraki was delicious but i wish it came with rice or something starchy bc just the side of horta wasn't doing it for me. we the finished the meal with the chocolate torte and a scoop of the pistachio gelatoall in all, this place was good but i wasn't raving about it. it was a decent meal for the price and the indoor decor and vibes were nice. i'm not dying to go back and try something but maybe i just didn't get their star dishes!3.85/5"
"A popular place in town. It costs too much. Terra has some good stuff. Greek food. Way too high prices though. Has reduced hours. It seriously is only open a few hours at lunch. They're closed on every weekend. It makes it hard to get here. This seems like this should be a cheap spot for downtown workers at lunch. Instead the prices make it seem like it's for wealthy people going out for a fun night of fine dining. This is ridiculous. Everything is overpriced. There's nothing worth what they charge you. It does have good tasting stuff but it's not that good of course. The menu is mostly Greek food. Basic items you can find in most places for much cheaper. Many with better hours too. I most like the Falafel Pita. It's about $14 and comes with a side. This can come with fries or a salad among other things. It just is too expensive. Skip it. Try something that's very similar and not as much as they charge you."
"My husband, daughter, and I dined here on Saturday night. My hubby's office had ordered takeout from here in the past, and as picky of an eater as he is, he talked about how good it was; so we thought we would try their dine-in experience together. We arrived around 5:45pm to a fairly empty restaurant, which often gives me pause; but as the night went on, it quickly filled up. We were seated and tended to promptly. The interior is cool and inviting, with Greek artwork and upbeat music to enhance the ambiance. Our server was attentive and blunt in a fun, friendly way -- make sure you bring your sense of humor so you don't take anything personally!I had a bowl of the Chicken Avgolemono soup, though the smaller cup would've been more than enough. It was nice and hot. My husband and daughter both got Souvlaki platters but didn't want their Dolmades so I happily ate those. I also shared their fries and part of my daughter's Pork Souvlaki. The Dolmades were some of the best I've ever had and the fries were amazing. But the pork. Listen, I rarely choose pork as my protein and I was very unenthusiastic about it, but it was possibly the best pork I have eaten in my life. It was super tender and juicy and absolutely full of flavor. Together with the fresh pita, tzatziki, and cucumbers... I didn't have words. My husband enjoyed his Lamb Souvlaki, but he tried a bite of the pork and shared my sentiments. We shared a piece of Baklava for dessert, which was also delicious. It was a wonderfully satisfying meal!Restrooms were bright and clean, albeit you have to walk through their office-like area to get to them and kind of feel like you're intruding. If you are in the area and like Greek food or want to try something different, I highly recommend giving this spot a try. I would welcome the opportunity to go back!"
"Located inside the Booth's Corners Farmers Market (Hours are limited to Fridays and Saturdays except during holidays and special events when there could be more hours). Grecian Delights is an inexpensive and absolutely DELICIOUS counter-style restaurant. Nikki - our server - was terrific and the gyros, grilled chicken, salad, tzatziki and especially that Avgolemono soup were all Yia-Yia approved.I can't wait to dine here again - or get a $20 gyro special (with a big salad and baklava) to go for a quick dinner for 2.I LOVE IT."
"My friend and I stopped by today for happy hour and cannot wait to come back! It was surprisingly very empty even though the happy hour food and drink deal is incredible!Multiple $5 city wide specials, a lot of good food deals, huge dive bar inside and 2 tables outside. Plus the friendliest most attentive server.Best thing we had were the Greek nachos, which were so unique and delicious. Had all the Greek salad toppings paired with fried pita chips. Came with tzatiki sauce and tasted even better when hot sauce was added. I'm sure paying extra for meat would've elevated it. $6 during happy hour!Second best thing we had were the Dolmades. I loved the fresh pita that came with Skordalia. The puréed mashed potatoes were delicious, but honestly the pita bread that paired with the dish was the star. So warm and fluffy that I wish it came with more! That dish was also only $4 during happy hour. Last thing we tried were the $3 chicken skewers. Nothing mind blowing, but juicy meat that was grilled to perfection and not dry whatsoever.I cannot wait to come back!"
"Really delicious salmon salad. Salmon was cooked perfectly and everything was fresh.Food came out really fast. I sat at the counter and watched other people's food come out. I left wishing I had gotten a gyro. Next time!"
"Blue Olive has been on my list for quite some time. Glowing reviews in company of mine are right: this is a hidden gem of a Greek restaurant. We started with a cold appetizer trio. We never had Caponata before and it was unlike anything we had ever tasted. The pita was warmed and charred over the grill. Our entrees were outstanding. Generous portions cooked perfectly. The dessert was also perfection. The owner is very attentive and the staff is too. It's a small place with very few tables. The intimate environment is calming and elegant. We cannot wait to come back!"
"Convenient as its located inside the Flourtown farmers market. They have good falafel that's sold by the piece and good cucumber/tomato salad. Unfortunately the younger guy behind the counter is frequently pushy and always wants you to buy more. I've also bought sautéed veggies that were horribly rotten when I tried to eat them the next day so be cautious what you buy. They charge a credit card fee which is understandable for a small business."
"I got a Lamb Gyro on a Pita ($11) for a quick lunch and damn...I devoured that thing in minutes. Would definitely stop by again."
"In the mood for authentic Italian food. The small BYOB gem was our first choice. This is a husband and wife establishment. The wife is in the front of the house and the husband Likki is in the kitchen cooking delicious hot meals. I heard the pizza is delicious. There were so many carry out pick up orders for pizza. Next time we will order pizza. We had the grilled shrimp appetizer which was delicious. Also served hot pizza crust bread which was delicious. I ordered roasted vegetables and date had seafood linguine which was on the specials board along with other entrees. The food was cooked to perfection. The serving sizes are nice for the price. I can't wait to return for dinner. They do not have lunch service. When the weather is nice they have outside seating. The husband came out to engage in conversation and ask about our dinner."
"This small gym is another location for this particular chain period the staff was extremely friendly and the space was very clean. The food prep was happening the front window and thecseasonings smelled amazing. We were so full from brunch, but we grabbed a few Loux sodas to cool off. I will definitely be getting the grill chicken gyro next time."
"The employees of this restaurant are so sweet and friendly when you walk in, definitely made me feel welcome. I tried the hummus and tabbouleh pita sandwich and it was good. Nice and light and healthy but filling. Next time I'd try a side of one of their sauces with it as well. Cant wait to try more menu items!"
"Simply delicious. No frills. Had the chicken shawarma, fully loaded with fries. EXCELLENT. UPenn students (and others) are lucky to have this place at their fingertips!"
"We ordered dinner from here. I actually thought we already had our dinner (and that eating dinner at 6pm would be a bad idea) but bae had other plans in mind.We were initially going to do dumplings and scallion pancakes (for obvious reasons) but I started feeling guilty about eating carbs and grease so decided to order mediterranean instead. Classically we ordered fried feta sticks, greek nachos, dolmades, I ordered a greek salad (tryna be healthy and shit), pita and hummus, and my little dolmade ordered pastitsio. Looking on the menu online to get this info for you I'm noticing that they also have an entire menu section of FRIES: FETA FRIES!!!, ZUCCHINI FRIES!!! and YEEROH fries which have meat on them but also a side of their "special yeeroh sauce" oooooooohhhh. Anyways it's probably for the best. The fried feta sticks were delicious. They were served with this marmalade which was an interesting combo. The hummus was ok but too salty for me, better hummus is available at more traditional hummus places in the city. The greek nachos were disappointing. The pita bread they're served on is a really interesting idea and adds a lot in the ways of texture but there were WAY too many onions for me. Also the tomatoes didn't taste the best. I had the same complaints about the salad however the dressing in the salad was delish. The dolmades were very good. I haven't had much of an opportunity to sample authentic items at some other Greek places in Philly but I'd probably edge on the side of trying another place next time!"
"Got take out from here while we running errands. Great packaging, easy to understand the menu and you can mix and match things. I love that they do fries in the Gyro. I ordered the lamb and beef with spicy tzatziki sauce and onions. Slightly heavy on the onions, but it was probably because I didn't get the tomatoes.Anyway the pita was slightly hard, and lamb and beef wasn't as seasoned as I would like it. But my SO correctly pointed it out that there are subtle differences between Greek and Mediterranean cuisines, and the lack of seasoning could be because of the authenticity. Definitely work the visit!!!"
"Given a much needed updated review just to remind everyone how awesome this place still is, the drinks are fantastic, the food here is DELICIOUS!! And all of the staff here are passionate about Opa and know the menu very well, plus our server was extremely kind. They were out of the chocolate mousse (my favorite dessert) and I was really craving something chocolate. That's the only dessert menu item they had with chocolate. He asked if I wanted some chocolate ice cream, but I said I'd just do the baklava cheesecake instead. The server then proceeded to bring out the baklava cheesecake along with two scoops of chocolate ice cream! It was very sweet of him to say the least. Plus it all tasted great!Opa Taverna may just be my favorite place in West Chester. I mean, it's honestly the perfect place to come for any occasion!"
"This place is awesome. It has authentic Greek food at a great price point. The service was very quick (the guy seemed like he either owned the restaurant or his family owned the place). He was constantly checking up on us with his adorable Greek accent. We got the Grape Leaves and Baba Ghanoush to start out with. They both were amazing. The Baba Ghanoush was perfect. It was creamy and had chunky tomatoes and some cheese in the mix.The gyro meat was delicious. I really liked how fresh all the ingredients were. The whole wrap was super warm and toasty. The tomatoes and lettuce were crispy as well. The place also has a whole bar in the restaurant if you did want a drink and not just amazing Greek food."
"Nice find on the end of Main Street in the Phoenixville neighborhood (PHX). Everything tastes home made. Octopus was good, halloumi was nice, firm unbrined grilled cheese. The shank was a well prepared dish. Big portion. Byo if you want to bring something. You must try a desert. You won't be disappointed and it's worth it."
"I couldn't find this on the menu and it could be a creation of leftovers that work well enough together. In this case, meatball links with seasoned potatoes and buttered rice. The bread had a nice texture to it and the rice mixture was like a "Greek spaghetti". I liked this item, but I didn't feel like it was something I'd initially pick because unless it seemed super decorative with all kinds of pizazz ingredients with pictures reaming my psyche in, as I'd want to try something else in a Greek style at a Greek place probably since I'm so used to the traditional Italian style.I feel like if I paid regular price for this, I would have given this place 4 stars instead but since it was through TooGoodToGo, it was a great value. Staff is friendly here and restaurant is very casual. The entrance looks slightly divey for the area and reminds me of take out at Souvlaki in South Philly too. Does Zorba take cash only for take out as well?Looks like the calamari here is a hit."
"We were excited to see Yeeroh open in the neighborhood, and stopped by for our first visit yesterday. I forgot to take a photo of my Make My Own Vegan Pita with spicy feta, garlic eggplant, zucchini fries on the side, tomatoes and kalamata olives. My husband opted for the Diavolo. First off, the gentleman manning the cash register was so kind and friendly, I loved his vibe and sweet smile. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his Diavolo which he said wasn't too spicy ( we eat very spicy though), and I loved my vegan gyro. It's been ages since I've had a gyro due to dietary restrictions, so I am so happy to have this option! The only thing is, I didn't taste much of the eggplant at all - I'll be curious to snuff that out the next time I try again. I'm glad to have this option in this neighborhood and hope great success for them and their team!"
"An Italian-Mediterranean restaurant with a brightly lit space. The Arpeggio is a commonly visited restaurant by my coworkers since we're so close. This is a good spot for groups since the tables are large enough for a decent party. The wood-fired pizzas are always a good bet, but so are the pastas and Mediterranean cuisine. The staff are nice and it's not too loud even when busy. There's a large parking lot outside so it's easy to find this spot place."
