Not worth the trip to North Philly.I got sucked in by the glowing yelp reviews, and decided to give this place a try. The first thing I noticed was that the room where you wait for your order was dirty and grimy looking. This makes me wonder if the people who run the place are clean. In addition to that, the guy behind the counter was kind of surly.I ordered a Beef With Pepper Steak combo- fried rice and an egg roll. I also got some beef with vegetables and white rice. When I got the food home, I was unimpressed. Lots of rice, not much meat. Even the egg roll was lame. At least the pepper steak had lots of onions, that was a plus. Never again. Too many better options in town.

Affordable and delicious food! Not the best location, but I believe it is simply the neighborhood and not the business' fault.I ordered by the phone, and the guy who took my order repeated everything back to me to ensure that he got the order right. I appreciate this because my order was so large!

Good Chinese food. Your classic Philly hole-in-the-wall Chinese spot that doesn't fail. Our office ordered lunch from here and I had the chicken and broccoli pint. Good prices and was delicious comfort food. I'm sure I will be coming back for more :)

I ordered two General Tso meals, they were cheap. It only took them 5-10 minutes to cook and it tasted super fresh! Definitely one of the better Chinese restaurants I've been too! The location is a little sketchy, but the food was fantastic.

Disclaimer, while I have been here a few times, I've only had two items and I've never actually been inside. That being said, their food is delicious! Calling and ordering is easy and quick, like the average Chinese store they take about 10 minutes for pick up. I've only ever ordered shrimp friend rice and chicken wings, so that's all I can speak to.. it's delicious. The wings aren't as big as I would like, cause they are really really good, but I'm not gonna complaint, at least I know they aren't steroid filled. Oh and they have homemade lemonade.. aka liquid sugar in a container, the pink and the regular.. Score!

This is probably my favorite Chinese place around these parts. I think their location right across the street from Temple University Hospital allows them to step up their game just a bit.For one thing, it just feels a little bit nicer inside. Sure, you still have to order through bullet-proof glass, but the floor is actually clean and the walls aren't covered in graffiti. They also have an ATM and a few places to sit. The girls taking your order seem to be friendly as well. I'm not saying this is a nice sit-down restaurant like you'd find in Chinatown, but at least it doesn't make you want to run the hell out as soon as you get your food. They also have a few menu items, on top of all the standard Americanized-Chinese fare, that set them apart. For one, they have Chinese eggplant on their special menu. I usually get the Chicken and Chinese Eggplant in spicy garlic sauce, but you can get shrimp with the eggplant or just the eggplant by itself. The eggplant is nice and tender, and I've never found it to be bitter or stringy. The spicy garlic sauce is also a winner. Pineapple chicken and bourbon chicken sound like they could be interesting options to try in the future. As always, you can get your chicken wings or gizzards, fried hard, with ketchup and hot sauce (this is North Philly after all).To drink, they have a few options besides canned soda and Mystic. You can get coffee, hot tea, or homemade iced tea. I like to get a hot oolong tea for only $1 (they even give you a straw to drink it from??).And I saved the best for last. Here's the kicker. They offer Chinese doughnuts! You can get 10 of these heavenly, fluffy, delicious balls of fried dough liberally covered in powdered sugar for only $2.50. Eat them while they're still hot and definitely plan on sharing--you'll make some friends.

Fast, cheap, and so tasty!!! There really isn't anything bad I can say but that this is my go to for Chinese takeout. Favorite is chicken with black bean or chicken with broccoli. Can't go wrong with their chicken and rice menu items.

Tried this place last minute. To my surprise it was clean. The food was good, not greasy, and the price is not high at all. Don't let the location fool you.
