"This diner is underrated. After coming here many times with friends I feel I have enough reason to now fairly rate this place. It has a fairly cozy atmosphere as two sections of the diner are available for people to be served good food. The breakfast was great so much so I thought I wasn't trying other kinds of food so I got some things that were different too on some visits. That food like for lunch is good too! Besides regular expected breakfast fare they provide hot sandwiches and some have deals like a soup on the side (Note: And the soup was tasty!). I hope many more people come here though it does seem to get nice enough business. If anyone is on the road passing through this and they have time and a hankering for some well-made meals I suggest try out Gateway Diner!"
"Breakfast and Lunch is doing them and they're doing themselves well. Breakfast cheesesteak, $7.20, came with fries, tables, parking, bathroom and everyone was nice as could be. You can see in the pictures it's not the prettiest or biggest Cheesesteak but for all the stuff I listed above I'm not going to hate on them. Very good overall experience."
"Generous portions of a variety of not too common breakfast meals. Everything made in-house from scratch including the biscuits. Fast, friendly service with a hometown, local atmosphere."
"I always enjoy my time here. I usually meet friends and we get to catch up over brunch. True diner atmosphere which I love. I typically get their omelettes and this time the veggie one was delicious, as always. The waitresses are friendly and always make us feel welcome and never rushed. I love the decor - very Philly - I know I'm home when I'm at a diner like this. Check them out!"
"Disclaimer: this review is strictly based off service given I am on the go and have yet to bite my food. This place is super fast, clean and efficient. Noticing I did not get comfortable the woman taking my order noticed I wanted my order to go yet still asked to confirm. Just about EVERYTHING on the menu was under 5 bucks and more impressively this place has many regulars in which staff even has their orders memorized. They have one woman conduct with the chefs to take orders and handle food and another handles the dirty money. This gave me peace of mind and a lasting first impression. Highly recommended despite the reputation of the neighborhood."
"While in Philly / NJ I wanted to support as many soul food establishments as I could. While the offerings here weren't my style, I could tell that the business is a valuable asset in the area and the owner is working hard. As a single female traveler, I can say don't be intimidated or hesitate about the area. Just park on the main drag, plug the meter, and walk over. It's a busy part of Olney shared by a diverse range of Hoomans."
"The owner is such a nice person. We arrived @ 2pm and the front doors were locked since it was a slow day, but he reopened them as we were heading back to the car.The food is also really good and you get great portions here too. The corn beef Reuben is excellent. My Mom enjoyed her turkey burger. We'll be back for breakfast later. :)"
"Now that I am spending more time at the USCIS building on 41st Street, and the immigration interviews and other proceedings start as early at 8:00 am, I need a place to cool my jets over coffee or breakfast while I wait to be heard. I learned long ago that it is better to arrive early and wait for court or other meetings, than to deal with heavier traffic later in the morning, and risk arriving late. Today, I asked one of the guards in the security area where to go for coffee until the public was allowed into the building at 7:30. He was thoughtful and thorough, giving me a list of places within a few blocks. When he mentioned the restaurant on Market Street that had a full breakfast menu, he showed more enthusiasm then for the others mentioned, so I took my clients there for morning repast. Turned out that Hamilton Restaurant is an old school luncheonette, with long counter with spinners on one side, and tables on the other. Kitchen in back. The offerings were plentiful, with both breakfast and lunch available during open hours. We opted for a couple of omelets (w/ home fries), turkey sage sausage, egg & cheese on Kaiser roll, and a grilled blueberry muffin. Ten minutes later we were served by a very friendly and considerate woman, who seemed to anticipate our needs. That was unexpected and exceptional. Our food was very good. The omelets were stuffed to the gills with the cheesesteak and sausage fillings two of them wanted, while my sandwich was not overly large, but very tasty with the turkey sage sausage a surprise star of the show. Very happy with that recommendation. The muffin had a strong resemblance to Costco muffins, but there were no complaints. Coffee was strong and the request that one be half milk, well received and delivered. This location is beyond the spreading influence of UPenn and Drexel. That means that it is still an original joint that has not been gentrified yet. The cozy neighborhood atmosphere was palpable, and the prices reflective of that. Very happy to find a place where I can eat and be comfortable while waiting to go to work."
"What a time warp this place is. Classic Greek-run diner with decor to whip you right into 1980.Pastels, linoleum, and those ever-so oddly placed statues.Give this place another 5 years and maybe just a table top reno and this place will be the next retro hub coming totally full circle.[please get those table top music machines that you can flip through pages of songs and play for a quarter!! Lean all the way into it!!!Extensive menu- of course. But went with a Turkey and cranberry sandwich (comes with chips)Slippery dumpling order with chickenAnd a chocolate milkshake (hold the whipped)Service was pleasant and attentive. Food came out quickly. And for a $24 dinner, I really can't say much.Plenty of parking. Big ol neon sign outside so you can't miss it. For an off the beat, local diner in sort of the middle of nowhere, did the job.Over heard a few other customers talking about having ate there earlier for breakfast now coming back the same day for dinner so I'm sure the locals love it. Seems the kind of place where they get a lot of regulars."
"Court Diner was the fist restaurant we visited indoors at the lull of the pandemic. We did go in there with significant trepidation; only one of us was fully vaccinated, awaiting the minimum time between shots. But what we saw, gave us comfort and a sense of safety. The Court Diner has been a timeless dining icon in Media foe generations. And it survives because of the same tradition that it has made it a generational venue.. No frills, excellent food, comfortable chairs, fast and efficient service, and a friendly attitude from the staff. We were seated within minutes of arriving there for brunch. There was an ambiance of safety, with staff masked appropriately. Food was superb as always. I had the Chorizo omelet which was finger-licking awesome. My spouse had the eggs Benedict and that was also memorable.Having moved away to Northern New England, I look forward to coming here when we're visiting family. It is definitely an institution."
"A Springfield staple. The food is standard diner fare. The menu is a bit over the top. Several pages long... Leading to watered down quality of several items. The fried scallops came out basically raw in the center... Which would be fine if they were seared but out of a bag and into a frier scallops should not be raw in the center. I think they would benefit from doing less items but focusing on doing them really well. They have lots of seating but not enough staff to adequately serve all their tables. Our waitress was hustling but was struggling to keep up with her section. Many people at our table ordered diet Pepsi. I suggested she bring a pitcher to minimize the amount of refills she had to do but informed me that they did not have any pitchers in the diner... Talk about a missed opportunity to lighten the load on your staff. The food was A-OK outside of the raw scallops. The meal was quite long, over 2 hours from when I arrived, was told to wait until everyone from our party was present (table next to us didn't have to wait for their party though), we were seated, had our drink order taken, then delivered, then food order, then food delivered, then the check. Many people in my group prefer Springfield diner over Folcroft diner but it's just not feasible when we are under time restrictions."
"Nikki is awesome!! The food is delicious and reasonably priced!! The pork roll and home fries were both amazing. Eggs were light, fluffy, and moist. There were 3 people up front taking care of customers on a Tuesday morning. I will definitely be back if I find myself in the area again."

Stopped in for breakfast. Diner is small and cozy. Food was good and cooked to our liking. Had no complaints.Service on the other hand left much to be desired. Our server gave us the impression we were interrupting her day. No greeting, no smile, just took our order. Had to track her down to get a refill on my coffee; then she seems to just toss the creamers on the table. Not really impressed. We left no tip and will not visit this diner in the future.

Overpriced for egg whites but not a bad spot for lunch specials. I do wish there was another option besides fries or onion rings to go with your sandwich etc. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and was oooo so bummed when I was told the only sides I could have were fries or onion rings. While tasty, my thighs and backside did not need or appreciate them. A soup, salad, fruit something else would have been better. I'd come back but on a day I don't plan to eat healthy.

Good food and coffee, cash only establishment, but I could do without the political stuff especially seeing Trump doll when I try to have brunch made me sort of losing my appetite.

The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is because of the Lack of communication at the front counter. We walked in to meet a friend and was told to wait 5-10 minutes, yet.... Our favorite server had tons of open booths and seats. She called us over, but then the manager kept telling us to wait. However, we didn't wanna sit in the crowded section which was towards the left it just didn't make any sense. However, the food is consistent at the Mayfair diner, and the one waitress is super awesome. I think her name is Lisa she is really fantastic. She gives you her honest opinion about the food she's been there a really long time and I'd rather someone tell me, what to expect from the soup of the day or from a certain dish that way in my opinion, I can make the better decision where to spend my money if I'm in the mood for a turkey club or a bowl of soup at least I know that I can appreciate when someone says it might be salty or bland, but this is not the case at the Mayfair Diner, their food is consistent I'd prefer breakfast. I am a breakfast kind of gal and I enjoy breakfast any time of day, but this diner is also close by a lot of our friends and a few of our family members so it's easy on everyone to meet at the Mayfair Diner plus this place has been here forever that says some thing as well. I know the chicken Parm is delicious and a few friends have gotten the dinner size to take half home and they still were full. I like the turkey, rice, soup and I am a big fan of their omelettes and their pancakes. My mom usually gets the chicken fingers or the quesadillas and they're very consistent and delicious is definitely worth the money. I know their hours are not open as long these days but, it's a pretty decent place to go. I feel like the service at many other places has gone downhill and this place at least I can speak for the server name. Lisa is pretty wonderful from my house to the front door. It's about 40 minutes so if I'm wasting gas to drive that long to get something to eat, you know it's gonna be pretty good.

I wanted a fried fish platter so looked in yelp and decided to gove this place a try.I called in and ordered a whiting platter with mac and yams. The lady on the phone asked if I wanted a small or large. I asked what the difference was in the sizes and the difference in price and she said it comes with 2 sides. She said the platter was $10 so I just ordered it not caring about the size.I asked how long she said 25 minutes. I arrived about 30 minutes just to give them more time. I advised the young lady I was there to pick up my food she asked for a number. I said I was not given a number but I ordered a fish platter and was told 25 minutes. She said she didnt have an order. As I was about to walk out a gentleman who I assume was the owner asked what was going on at which time the young lady noticed another employee wrote down the order and left. He immediately apologized and advised he could have the platter ready within 5 minutes. He also offered me a free drink which is not much but it shows the value me as a customer. Now to the food...AWESOME!!!! Fish fried perfect, yams and mac great and the cornbread was delicious too! Had the owner not been there I would have never had the chance to taste this awesome food.Good customer service makes a difference!!!

This old diner located at the intersection of Limekiln Pike and Mt. Carmel Avenue in Glenside, PA, is a miniature of today's full monte diner experience. The counter has only 6 spinners, and the main dining rooms together, less than a dozen tables. But, size does not tell the story of Moonlight Diner. This place has been running since the middle of the last century feeding this neighborhood with solid victuals and homemade desserts. That I was the only customer by the time I finished breakfast does not reflect on the quality of the experience.I sat on the last stool on the right overlooking the refrigerator full of juice and milk and the kitchen door. The friendly server approached with a menu and inquiry about drinks. Coffee with a small glass of milk arrived in front of me two minutes later. I order their Farmers Omelet (onion, tomato, mushroom, bacon, feta cheese extra with home fries folded in) and rye toast, and took a phone call as I waited. The platter was placed before me before the call ended. First bite alerted me to the need for a shake of black pepper and squirt of Frank's Hot Sauce, which I promptly applied. Those adjustments did the trick and it was smooth sailing from there. The taste and texture were excellent and it was a completely filling breakfast. Everything blended well together and seemed in perfect harmony. Coffee mug refills were forthcoming when required. Service was timely and cordial. They treated this stranger well. Much appreciated.

Food: 3.75 Out of 5Nothing fancy no frills diner. For my breakfast of 2 eggs over easy, 2 sausage links, house potatoes, and 2 slices of rye toast it cost me about $9.75.Service: 5 Out 5The lady serving me was quick to welcome me and take my order.Environment: 4 Out of 5Standard diner layout, plenty of counter space and a handful of tables.Overall: 4 Out of 5When your body is craving that greasy spoon come over to this joint. This place still has that neighborhood feel with friendly folks serving you. Don't expect that fancy brunch place special!
Visit Restaurant Page"In spite of having not visited Penrose Diner during the two visits I have had to Philadelphia for the Independence Blue Cross Broad Street Run; I vowed to visit it during my third trip to the city since it sits right across from the Holiday Inn Philadelphia Arpt-Stadium Area where I typically stay. I must say that I finally realized that Penrose Diner is a hidden gem in South Philadelphia; this classic diner has been around for more than 50 years in Philadelphia which is why I had to visit. And I put off getting in an early morning run, just so I could visit once the diner opened because I have seen how busy it gets! In fact, that is a reason why I was deterred from visiting in the previous years. Once I entered the location, I waited, then proceeded to the bar area for a seat, rather than a booth seat in the dining area. The server, Colleen, did her tasks behind the counter, acknowledging me by asking me if I needed anything to drink and a menu in-between doing her tasks. Once I was ready to order after looking at the menu, I ended up ordering a short stack of pancakes, scrambled eggs, and a small orange juice which was presented to me within an acceptable time frame. I enjoyed sitting at the bar because there was a television plastered ahead which gave me something to look at. Prior to taking my first bite of the scrambled eggs, I smirked as Adele 'Hello' played in the background because it is a song I absolutely adore! The scrambled eggs tasted fantastic! And the short stack of pancakes did not disappoint as I knew they would not; there were plenty of syrup containers given to make it taste just the way I like. My only regret with the short stack was that I should have ordered just one pancake rather than the short stack, because I ended up not eating all of it. In-between eating, I could not help but overhear the genuine employee interaction with one of the regular customers. Oh my, these Philadelphian accents, I always look forward to hearing them when I visit Philadelphia because it is a breath of fresh air in comparison to midwestern accents in Chicago. In closing, I am quite positive that I will revisit Penrose Diner being that I frequently stay at the Holiday Inn Philadelphia Arpt-Stadium Area, plus I enjoyed my meal! With that being said, I most definitely recommend this diner if you plan to visit Philadelphia. ~ Be obsessively grateful. ~Thomas G"
"Suburban diner on Main Street at the western fringe of Norristown, PA, with two dining rooms, but no counter service. Bright and airy with broad windows facing east and south. Broad menu for three a day. I was there around 10:30 a.m. and lusting for a wholesome breakfast. Those choices they had up the wazoo, and it was an easy pick of Southwest Omelet (pepper, onion, jalapeño, pepper jack, sausage) with home fries, wheat toast and splash of Tabasco. It was a big three-egger, that held its moisture well, and was very tasty. Enjoyed every bite. Coffee was strong and refilled three times without summoning the waiter. He was totally on the ball, and I hardly noticed his lip and ear jewelry. He certainly wore it well. Reasonable prices. Good sized parking lot in this older commercial strip. The edge of my table was a little sticky."
"This was my first time at this place, my best friend preferred food and I got it for him! Don't get me wrong the food is amazing, the costumer service just isn't there lol but he did say it's only two of them working so I mean I get it I guess. But it's the tone and cadence of the cashier lol but it is black owned and I support my people!!"
"Basic Diner food. They did make my requested mozzarella fries with beef gravy on the side, bomb just like NYC diners. Chicken tenders are more like chicken breasts. Great service Ms. Anita was beautiful!"
"They know how to cook!Buried back in my memories is this place. Maybe, my memories are playing tricks on me, but I could swear my buddy (and sometimes, his wife) and I would go there late at night. The hours are like 6 a.m. - 3 p.m. now, so no more late nights. It wasn't the kind of place people claim as "drunk food"--this was too good for that. After my not so great meal at Andy's Diner yesterday, I wanted some place that wasn't a problem--Llanerch Diner, Manoa Diner, Red Lion Diner, or Olympic Diner. Red Lion Diner on Red Lion Rd. in Northeast Philly seems to be gone, crab cakes and all.I got to Llanerch Diner (on Township Line Rd. in Upper Darby/Havertown), on the other side of the road, and thought that I wanted something I knew, where there were good memories. Manoa Diner had changed hands a while back and wasn't it, so I drove down to Clifton Heights and found Olympic.I'd never been there in the morning, and didn't know their routine. I took a place on the counter, and after about 1 minute, one of the women asked me what I wanted to drink. After that, I figured that I'd try the same thing I had the previous day: scrapple, scrambled eggs, home fries, and toast. I tried to cancel the toast, but "it comes with the meal" I was told. I'm not that into bread. The other woman was cooking, and I could already see a couple thick slices of scrapple on the grill, since the grill was almost right in front of me. She had everything finished quickly and it looked great--no white potatoes or running scrapple. It tasted really good, almost as I remembered those times way back when. Isn't that the best? The women were friendly, and they seemed to be having fun with the regulars. The diner had all the old stainless steel bits and the jukebox at each booth. It felt like the kinda place you go when you're a neighbor, and everyone knows everyone else. I'd imagine that the place had been open since the 1940s or 1950s and hasn't changed much. It's so much more appealing than some chain restaurant."
"LocationJust off 95 (@2 miles west) BroomallParkingLarge open lotAtmosphereDinerSeatingCounter, booths, tablesServiceFriendly, immediate, attentiveMenuLots to choose from-breakfast menu offers a wide variety of options. The mimosa was HUGE-fresh squeezed orange juice. So good! We had the three egg special-comes with toast and home fries. The english muffin was toasted perfectly-delivered with a plate of butter packs! Beefsteak tomatoes were yum. Grits a bit watery but good. Eggs over medium and scrambled-so good! Refills on ice tea-terrific! SummeryConvenient location, great service, outstanding food-large portions! Love it!! Note-Check out the bakery!!!"
"The place was busy and quite popular. The woman who was our waitress had someone training with her so the orders took a little longer to come out, especially since they messed up one of our orders. The food was good though"
"My husband and I walked in here and walked out. It was a very depressing environment with no music playing and the booths were very uncomfortable. We waited for a couple of minutes and although there was staff present no one came to give us menus or to offer us a glass of water etc. I can't comment on the quality of the food since we didn't stay long enough to try it. Seeing the picture of the toilet though that another yelper put is enough to make me never go back. Shame."
"The food was delicious! We came to dine in on a weekday evening, so there wasn't a lot of foot traffic. However, the kitchen was plenty busy with the amount of takeout they needed to make.Service was prompt and one of the co-owners even stopped by a few times to check on us, which we appreciated. We ordered lamb rogan josh, chicken curry, garlic & plain naan, and shrimp tandoori. I was really happy to have a glass of mango lassi nearby, especially when the capsaicin started kicking in. Everything came out steaming hot! And the spicy level was well balanced. We love spicy foods, but can't consume super spicy levels anymore for health reasons. I'm glad the server asked what spice level we wanted, and that we went with the mid-level spice. The only thing I'd do differently next time is to request less salt be used in our dishes. There was plenty of food left over to take home with us. It was a very enjoyable dining experience, and I recommend Persis if you're craving Indian cuisine!"
"When the waitress called me "Sugar," I knew my meal was going to be good. There's something about old diners that look terrible on the outside and are full of 'family' on the inside. You know, a place where folks frequent so much they turn into family? Everybody knows everything about everyone. We heard convos across the diner and it felt like home. Our meals were served pretty quick, piping hot. We grubbed as we discussed the Eagles in the Super Bowl. That's of course the talk of this town these days. My daughter had two huge pancakes and worshipped every bite. I had eggs, bacon and home fries with onions. Our waitress was super sweet and we were in and out in less than 30 mins and under $20. What more can you ask for?"
"The Tacony neighborhood in East Philadelphia may never achieve toney status like East Passyunk or Northern Liberties, nor become gentrified like Fishtown or Callowhill, but being 8 miles from Center City also has benefits no longer shared with those better known enclaves. Up here, it is still possible to buy a townhouse for south of $100 grand, and catch the train to Suburban Station from Torresdale Septa stop. You can live among folks who have roots that go back generations, and fit in as a newbie welcomed to the hood. It is possible to find your pioneer spirit in the 21st. And, when you explore a little, you can find places like Athenian Diner on Torresdale Avenue that has been slinging excellent hash & eggs for over 50 years at the same row house location. Walking in and taking a counter stool immediately alerts you that some things just never change. The breakfast dishes are excellent. The waitresses have been there since at least the turn of the century, and they make you feel right at home with their first smile and easy urban offhand manner. Yes. You can eat the atmosphere; it is that timeless. I sat at the end of the counter across from the Bunn-O-Matic. My white mug of joe arrived quickly, and my request for milk over creamer was met with a short glass of moo juice just for me. Greek diner required a Greek breakfast, and the Greek Omelet seemed the only way to go. Tomato, onion, green pepper, & feta mixed with two eggs and a side of home fries, presented as beautifully to the eye as it was to the tastebuds. Rye toast with a touch of butter completed the ensemble. It was delicious. I love that salty tartness of feta blended with the more subtle savoriness of the onion/tomato mix. Even the potatoes fit in nicely, although I did leave some of them behind to save on calories. Didn't need nor miss that third egg, at all. I parked on a side street to avoid the meters, and to build a walk into the experience. It was obvious that despite some economic development on this main street, that Tacony still had a long way to go before it became an upscale desirable address. In many ways, that truth made it all the more attractive."
"This place needs no rating. It is THE diner. When you think of a northeastern diner, this should be the place that immediately comes into your mind. This place needs no recommendation, it just is and you should go here if you want to breakfast."
"Great little breakfast spot, lots of bacon in the order, real rye toast, no soft rye nonsense, eggs done perfectly, would go back again"
"Little side of the road diner that caught my eye. Think the building was an old Pizza Hut. When you enter you see the familiar claw machine game in the lobby area, the smell of breakfast food and senior citizens hits the nostrils. You know you're in a good little family diner. There is a large dining room and we were seated at a booth right away. The best part was the server asked for our drinks right when he sat us, some places make you wait forever to even put drinks in. Diner OJ and coffee standard but good. This place has the "hangover" or no judgement if your kids make a bit of a mess vibe and I love it. Our server was very attentive and friendly and our food came out quickly and how we ordered it. Sometimes you take for granted just getting it right. The sausage gravy over biscuits were solid. I added some over medium eggs on top and a side of scrapple. You could tell it's all homemade in the sense it's not overly seasoned or processed food. Easy on the stomach and somewhere you could go a million times and get the same quality. This will probably always be a side of the road gem but for us lucky enough to stumble onto it, we'll keep it that way. The owner mentioned they've been there for 11 years and thanked us for going in. Just felt like home a little. Don't go here looking for a fancy pants artisanal something but if you just want to wear your pjs and get some food, this unpretentious little hut of food and family will do you good."
"The Rooster Diner, Media, PA. Different Breakfast sandwich #8 in the last 2 weeks. It looks like an old Denny's but it ain't a Denny's no more. I got an artsy creative vibe. I got the scrapple egg and cheese on white toast with hash browns. There was a lot of scrapple. The hash browns were brown like they should be. I was expecting more from my toast. Everything else looks and sounds amazing so I was expecting more out of the toast. $9.99 seemed a touch pricey. I don't know how I didn't get a Peanut Butter Bomb. "Dined in during the middle of the night after being out - service was awesome, food was great, and the welcoming atmosphere was enough to make us excited to go back again! Restaurant layout is so cute and definitely worth the visit."
"Food is delicious and hot. Some breakfast specials come with a free mimosa. The chicken and waffles were plentiful and delicious. The presentation was great but the waffle could have been warmer. I suspect the additional time it took to create the presentation cooled the waffle off. But as a Belgian waffle lover temperature matters. On the bright side the waffle was golden brown and crisp just the way I like it. Service was great but the kitchen was moving really slow even though the restaurant was not packed.A great spot in the area."
"Beautiful place to have food nice cup of coffee. Everyone was very friendly outgoing. I recommend this to anyone who just wants to sit down and have a great time."
"I went to Upland diner with high expectations and we all know how that goes. It was morning so I got a cheesesteak and egg sandwich. They have a pick window. Order at the window and they will bring your food to your car. This was a fresh roll and I love it when I pick up a fresh roll. It was $12.29 after tax. As a cheesesteak with egg it was small. As an egg and cheesesteak sandwich I would have liked home fries. I didn't like the fried onions. It was a good sandwich and a very nice woman waited on me but it could have been better.Reese chocolate Chip pancakes caught my eye!!"
"Hands down one of my favorite places to order from late night on DoorDash. Located in the Old Friendly's on Cottman and the Boulevard. My food has always been fresh and accurate. My go to is the shrimp basket which comes with fries but they always seem to throw in like 3 onion rings and it feels like I hit the lottery every time. Only thing I've tried that I was not a huge fan of was the chocolate mousse cake. The cake itself was fresh and moist, I just prefer a more rich chocolate taste. I'll definitely be back to try other items."
"In town for a fun mini girls weekend and given that there are literally countless brunch options in Philly we decided to go with an option fairly close to our hotel that had more of a fun and diverse menu ... so we landed on Cafe Lift. Our wait was only 10 minutes during peak brunch hours on a Saturday which was AMAZING and we were swiftly seated on the second floor of their dining space which has a really light and airy retro done right vibe. Our server was very patient with us and paid us the perfect amount of attention while also providing perspective and recommendations on the menu. We honestly ordered so much freaking food that it didn't fit on the table and we didn't get to take pics of it all because we were too busy stuffing our faces.Every single thing we ordered was BOMB! And I mean EVERY SINGLE THING! From the Cheesesteak & Egg Breakfast Sammie on a Pretzel Bun, to the Taylor Ham, to the Cannoli French Toast, to the Shakshuka, to the Sourdough Grilled Cheese to the Coffee ... nothing missed! We of course had to take a ton of food to go which made us excited because it meant we would be able to experience the flavor party once again later in the day. Highly highly recommend this place because we will certainly be back! Oh and it's BYOB too!"
"This is my second time going to the Liberty Bell Diner this summer and both times I really enjoyed my meals. The first time I went for dinner with my sister. She enjoyed the Veal Alicia, and I enjoyed the Senior's Eggplant Parmigiana which came with two sides! I was happy to see they have the "smaller" portions available since we wanted to try the wrapped asparagus, as well. That, by the way, was very tasty, too! Unique, also! We also enjoyed our fresh salads, soups, and basket of different breads. Such a great diner feel, from the food to the atmosphere. Our food today was delicious, as well. We went for breakfast. I had the Liberty Bell omelette, and it was very tasty with all of the different additions to it. The hash browns were nice and crispy, as well. My sister loved her creamed chipped beef and toast. My husband had the sample plate (#6) - he enjoyed the over-easy eggs - he said they were made just right. His scrapple could have been thicker, and the French toast and pancake were ok. He says it's a good way to try things if you've never been there. I will say, you get plenty of food, with leftovers most likely! The staff, both times, were friendly and helpful, and plenty of staff help out with filling coffees, cleaning tables, etc. Check them out!"
"Had my grandkids for the weekend which is always fun. Since I didn't have any OJ on hand (hey, I thought that was a pretty good excuse!) we ordered from Country Club. What a happy accident. I swear, it was THE best french toast I've ever had and I really have made my share! I've made it with challah, regular white and with brioche but nothing compared with this. Sweet but not too sweet. Even the bacon that the kids ordered was awesome. We will definitely be looking at the rest of the menu more often!"
