"I've been here several times over the years. In the beginning, there were some inconsistency issues, but it looks like they've largely been fixed. This place serves authentic dim sum with nice portion sizes that are priced competitively with Chinatown's dim sum places (but with free parking!). Among the must-try dishes are har gow (shrimp dumplings), seafood shu mai, bean curd rolls, and shrimp cheong fun. These dishes are around $5 each. There are other dishes that seem to be overpriced for what they are, such as the crab claw and thousand year egg porridge ($8.50 each). Sometimes they walk around with a couple of specialty items, such as salt and pepper calamari that cost more, but you never know how much exactly, so your bill quickly rises with all these extras. Stick with the $5 dishes and you can't go wrong."
"great place to get weekend dim sum in philly without having to go to chinatown the dining area is huge so there's always a table available and they don't try to rush you out either. they're quick to refill waters and the push cart ladies are always walking around so you can get your favorite dish. we also went one time close to 2 pm and they still had the push carts out (albeit w less options)! if you get one thing here make sure to get the pineapple buns (bo lo bao). my family are pineapple bun lovers and these are definitely some of the best we've had. the bread is perfectly soft, the topping is crumbly the way it should be, and they're FILLED with custard. always love coming here for dim sum!"
"Tried out their dumpling sampler. 6 for $12 seems a little pricey as you'd expect to be somewhat full. There was no way to find out which dumpling was which without biting into one. I couldn't differentiate a couple of the dumplings which I guessed were buffalo even though I know I ordered only 1 buffalo. Flavor wise it wasn't bad for most of them. Some of the dumplings looked more fried than others but it didn't really take away from the flavor. Nothing really bad but I don't think I'd drive out of my way again to have these."
"$7.95 for soup dumplings is a STEAL. Stopped in for a solo lunch and it was great. Caters to the demographic of "Chinese takeout" food but some great Shanghainese classics like rice cakes, soup dumplings, and soup noodles. You never find soup dumplings for that price anymore. The skin is a little more thicker that I prefer but to each their own. Gobbled up crab soup dumplings and a plate of Shanghai fried noodles and left happy."
"I am so happy this spot opened in KOP!! It is still so new and already super popular it seems (on a Saturday night at least), and for good reason! All of the food I tried was delicious and the prices were very fair. My favorite dishes included the rainbow soup dumpling (so unique and cool!) and the Dan Dan noodles. But I don't think you can go wrong with anything! Great service, cool decor, and tons of seating inside!Ig: graces.grubz"
"In the midst of the panini, post crazy lockdowns, my semi shut-in BFF decided she felt comfortable going out to a restaurant that wasn't outdoors. I managed to find Jin Ding and figured I would pitch it as a lunch date since she always complains about there being fewer and fewer nice old-school sit-down Chinese restaurants. We went mid-week after she wrapped up work early and had a sampling of dim sum. It was all good - dumplings, buns, the lot of it. The service was efficient and courteous, and the restaurant itself is nice on the inside. I could definitely bring family here and not feel obligated to explain away the outward appearance. The parking/entrance is a little funky because the building takes up the triangular corner of the lot but there's plenty of spaces.I would definitely return!"
"This place is cash only but has an ATM.Service is hit or miss.Recommended dishes:Truffle soup dumplingsTruffle fried riceBraised pork bellyTaiwanese NoodlesDishes to skip:Pan fried dumplings"
"This was a nice find!We headed to Reading Market for cheesesteaks to find out it was closed for the 4th of July. We walked a block or so and happened up on Tom's Dim Sum.The restaurant was very clean as was the restroom. We had:- Chicken with Broccoli - very good- Pork and Crab/Pork Soup Dumplings - delicious- Vegetable Fried Rice - good if a bit bland. - Fried Chicken with French Fries - good, the chicken was a bit dryThe staff was very friendly and they have a robot rolling around the restaurant bringing the food from the kitchen."
"I don't think Sang Kee deserves less than a 4-star rating. It Szechuan lunch specials are affordable, tasty, and authentic, definitely worth becoming a regular lunch spot just to try the food. Service was quick and easy, and the restaurant is clean. For reference, my bf and I tried the double cooked pork belly and mapo tofu, which is vegan but tastes good without the animal ingredients. The szechuan peppers are especially apparent in the mapo tofu, which was a plus for me. Not too spicy either."
"Came for a happy hour event and honestly wasn't expected much from the bites and the mixed cocktails but MY GOODNESS, everything was great! I really enjoyed my drink. Worth the $12. The little bites were good. I had some of the veggie spring rolls, sesame soy brussel sprouts, and the fired shrimp balls. My only complaint is that I ate a late lunch and didn't make enough room to eat more lol. Service was solid. Everyone was super friendly. Last but not least, I LOVED the layout. It was dim but gorgeous. Huge monitors everywhere and beautiful brick walls lit up with lights. If anyone is ever there for happy hour, lemme know! lol"
"Nice selection of dim sum dishes to choose from. Many bun, shumai, and fried specialties. I was happy to see some favorites, and also was served some extra light dessert items. Staff inside is very nice, and was welcoming. Classic interior and menu. Most items were steamed or fried nicely, and had good flavors. Come here with friends for tasty meal."

Dim sum for breakfast? Dim sum for brunch? You better believe it.Wokano is one of my favorite places to get weekend morning dim sum. It's simple, comforting, affordable, and relaxing. It's everything I want in a first-meal of the day. If you go a little later in the day or the evening, it fills up quickly. But going in the morning ensures there's likely a table free for you to walk right in and grab. There's a very friendly man who walks around making sure you have water, I think he might be the manager or the owner. He's always happy to see returning customers and greets us warmly each time. When I go to most places to eat, I like to try something different each time. But I find myself always going for the same items at Wokano. But no matter what you get, make sure to at least get the sesame buns and egg custard buns, and a pot of tea. You can not go wrong with these as part of your order! It's filling, it's delicious, and it's easy on the wallet. I also love that when you sit down, you can eat relatively quickly: people are walking carts around the dining area with the food ready to go for you to select and enjoy. My only issue is that, unless you live nearby and can walk there, I recommend you take a cab or rideshare. The shopping center parking lot is mayhem. It's packed with a food market and other stores in a small condensed area, so navigating your car in that parking lot is an endurance challenge. Save yourself the trouble and enjoy an Uber or a walk. If you want a nice AM meal, or if you need to work off the hangover from last night, you will surely feel better after visiting Wokano!

Looking for good dim sum? Here's your spot! Looking for delicious authentic Chinese? Yup, it's here too. I even celebrated my bday here. Space is huge and I've never had to wait to be seated. My go to items are:Salted fish fried rice - this is probably the best in the Philly area. It's loaded with a ton of fish and the dish is so flavorfulBeef chow fun with gravy (or wet) - I not a big fan of stir fry so I always get the saucy one. Love love!Tiny white fish - I'm not exactly sure if the name but it's these lil sliver fishes that's fried and salted. My entire family always have to order 2 of these.

This was our third time at Tom's Dim Sum, the second as a larger group. Food is always delicious and the service is always friendly. This time was a bit awkward with our group as it is a smaller restaurant and I don't quite think they were prepared for us in a Friday night even though we had made a reservation. Crowd favorites were the chicken soup dumpling, Shanghai shumai, chicken skewers, and for dessert the piggy buns. This is a BYOB, so definitely consider bringing a bottle of wine if you're headed here for a casual date night!

Third time at Dim Sum King. Although there's some hiccup (it took them extra long time to bring out my husband's order), I'm truly impressed by their service. The owner came out to explain why my husband's order (stir-fried Chinese pancake slices with beef) was late and apologized sincerely. In the end, this dish tasted fantastic, so I felt it's well worth the wait. The texture of sliced Chinese pancake is so unique--chewy but not tough, reminding me of really good "al dente" pasta. Just wish they would crank the AC a bit more. We sat in the section paralleled to the entrance, and I felt it's a bit too warm.

Stopped by Jin Ding for some dim sum and it did not disappoint! The restaurant overall is very clean and nice! Our server was so attentive and friendly! We were the first table there right when they opened so the service time was also fairly quick! The prices were on the higher side than most places I have visited serving dim sum but they offered the same selection if not with a few varieties. We ordered scallion pancakes, custard buns, pork buns, soup dumplings, shrimp and bbq rice rolls, chives dumpling, their special dumpling and a few more dishes. Our total came out to about $100 + tip. My favorite was the bbq rice roll. The meat was tender and nice small pieces of spare rib paired with the chewy rice roll was delicious! I did also like that the soup dumplings were smaller making it easy to pop and consume without burning your entire face. I was slightly disappointed at the custard buns though. I am not sure if they're premade and just heated but only one of the 3 looked the way it was supposed to. The other 2, looked so deformed, could not tell that it was supposed to look like a pig. I am sure most people probably order this with the intent of it looking cute, so they should make sure to provide the customers with that experience!

My friend and I came to Bai Wei for dinner. Despite the restaurant being half occupied with patrons, the service was quite fast. We were promptly seated, and service remained fast during our visit. The food is likewise pretty good, with many menu items being dim sum items. I had a hot and sour soup along with some dumplings. The dumplings were moist and flavorful, while the hot and sour soup was savory and filling. Nevertheless, the food here seems to be on the greasy side, especially with the dishes my friend ordered.Overall, Bai Wei serves decent food paired with good service. It's a good place to eat at, but I wouldn't go out of my way to dine here.

I went here for lunch on a Friday afternoon, quite by accident as I was unable to find my first choice restaurant. This place is super busy. The ambiance is modest but not unattractive. I had to wait a bit for a table but that was not a problem. I was seated and placed my order. Then I waited. And waited. And waited. After 30 minutes, I noticed that many tables around me that came after me had their food. So I asked where my food was. They told me that because I ordered dumplings, it takes some time. But that was not quite the real story. Besides, this is a dim sum restaurant and their business is to turn out dumplings quickly. I waited a bit more and then one of the waitresses asked me who took my order. I pointed her out and she shook her head, denying that she took my order. Some waitresses use a tablet to order but my waitress did it the old fashioned way with a pen and paper. Apparently, she forgot to place the order with the kitchen. In total, I waited 40 minutes for my food.Once they got it straightened out, my food came out in 10 minutes. The chicken soup dumplings were good but not the best dumplings I ever had. There was a flavor of chicken soup, which I suppose is the point, but after I added dumpling sauce they were better. The chicken skewers were really good. Good seasoning, moist and tender, they were among the best I ever had. They gave me a free salad of some kind to compensate for their mistake, and it was good. I think it was seaweed but since I did not order it, I am not sure. Overall, the food was good. The service was below par. Prices are very reasonable, which is probably why they are so busy.
Visit Restaurant Page"Super friendly. Great selection. Reasonable prices. Great atmosphere to eat in, or pick up takeout for dinner on the couch. The gentleman even served me some jasmine tea while I waited for my takeout order."
"I dined here for the first time last night with 3 other adults. The inside of the restaurant was hip and clean, though on the warm side. I was sweating pretty much the entire time, which was very uncomfortable and made me want to leave...but I really didn't want to leave because the food was so yummy! We ordered a variety of dumplings and buns, scallion pancakes, and beef Chow Ho Fun (wide noodles) to share, and didn't leave a scrap. I wish I could've tried everything on the menu! The sauces are on the table (side note: the dumpling sauce bottle was sticky...) so you can use what and how much you want. Everything was hot and fresh and delicious! The noodles and soup dumplings were probably my favorites. We didn't get any drinks or dessert. The service was good overall, though we did have to ask for water refills. The food came out quickly and they did a great job clearing empty plates without making us feel rushed. The gentleman who took our order gave us some recommendations and didn't mind leaving a menu with us so we could keep ordering stuff to try. This is a fun place to visit with friends, and I would definitely welcome the opportunity to go back another time!"
"Following the week of soft opening nights, five of us came for Ding Feng Tang's Grand Opening night. This review is given with grace as bumps are always expected as new teams learn to work together. In this case, there seemed to be plenty of teammates, but they were often in a rush and difficult to flag down.We were seated right away, even though we had not been able to make a reservation: no one answered the phone nor the Instagram direct message. We asked for water and a round of drinks as we read our way through the offerings on the checklist. Water was served in very small glasses--thankfully a water carafe was left on the table for refills. Hot tea was served in the same small glasses--we wished the glass was thicker or had a handle so drinking was easier. We wound up ordering in two rounds because we wanted half a Peking duck and knew it would take a while. We were foiled in this attempt: even though the server read the initial order back to us, the duck did not make it into their system. We inquired after it halfway through the meal and we wound up eating it for dessert. In all, we tried:- Pork soup dumplings (a group favorite)- Crabmeat & pork soup dumplings- Chicken soup dumplings- Chives & pork potstickers (a group favorite: who doesn't like potstickers?)- Fried pork buns (a group favorite: good flavor)- TanTan noodle (a group favorite: good flavor)- Taiwanese popcorn chicken (a group favorite: hot and crispy)- Cucumber in garlic sauce (a group favorite: fresh and garlicky)- Scallion pancake (a group favorite: nice and crispy)- Beef skewers (needed more seasoning)- Lamb skewers (needed fat rendered longer)- Vegetable fried noodle- Chinese broccoli with garlic (a group favorite: divine sauce)- Peking duck (half)I'd return to try some of the other offerings once service smooths out."
"When did Dim Sum Factory open in NE? Never know their existence until recently. For whatever reasons, these dim sum places is not flourishing in NE Philly. The two other dumpling/dim sum restaurants on Castor Avenue didn't survive before and after covid. I really do hope this place does. I was really craving for soup dumplings one day and it was the only thing I would eat. Google and found Dim Sum Factory of Krewstown. Order XLB, Shanghai Shuimai, and Roast Duck Noodle Soup. The Pork Soup Dumplings and Shanghai Shuimai definitely hits the spot. It was so good that I barely wants to eat the noodle soup lol. I guess I'm a little biased after eating XLB because the noodle soup didn't taste too well, it was kinda bland. Our take out was really good last time, that we decided to dine in. I'm so glad that DSF is open on Christmas Day. I have to order XLB and Shanghai Shuimai again. Along with Scallion Pancake and Beef Pancake. XLB, Shuimai, and Scallion Pancakes were definitely delicious. I don't know what's that green vegetable they put in Beef Pancake, not scallion or cilantro, it got a really weird taste to them. Hubby order General Tso's Shrimp which he says is ok. I end our meal with Sweet Rice Pudding. Some part of the rice pudding were hard as rock, maybe didn't heat up too well? Won't be getting those again. Definitely will return for their dim sum menus."
"No frills, good quality. The siu mai had dense meat without chunks, which I didn't prefer since I like the texture of rough chopped pork, though the flavor was good. The har gow had a good texture and was plump. The chive dumpling was well-seasoned with a nice crisp. The chow fun had good wok hei but not much meat. The service was friendly. I don't prefer it over a lot of the spots in SF Chinatown, but it's on par with other dim sum spots in Philly Chinatown."
"A lot to love here! I was hungry walking home from an event and stumbled into Dim Sum & Noodle with zero plan. I asked the friendly staff at the counter if I could place a to-go order and wait for it, and they let me know it would be ~10 minutes. Incredible! A few notes:+ This spot is BYOB. I can't wait to come with a group and a bottle of wine and order the whole menu.+ For a place with "dim sum" in the name, the dim sum menu itself is a little small. What they do offer packs a punch and will fulfill your craving with gusto.+ Do NOT skip the chicken chow fun! One of my favorite dishes I've had in a good long while and lasted me 3 full days. + Really reasonable prices and conveniently located in the Rodin Place plaza.+ The steamed pork dumplings were good but left a bit to be desired for me when, again, dim sum is in the name. Thicker dough wrapper, pretty basic pork filling. This will be my go-to for takeout and delivery, and I cannot wait to try more dishes on the menu!"
"i'm a little mixed about this establishment. I ordered the veggie spring rolls, and the veggie fried rice. the fried rice was actually great (i'm quite picky about fried rice) but it had lots of stringy egg. the spring rolls I LOVED!! BUT they were so tiny!!! so so tiny! and for the price, there are better finds for spring rolls that aren't so tiny! other wise, great place! I haven't eaten in so I wouldn't know about the restaurant itself and I am only speaking on the food I ordered! I did like how many vegetable options there was since I am vegetarian. will go back- but will try to order something more bang for buck!"
"Got pickup for dinner and it was really good and fresh and the service was great as well- super helpful and friendly! I had the veggie homemade noodles and there were pretty big well seasoned pieces of fresh veggies mixed in- she gave me some homemade chili hot sauce and it elevated the flavor. My bf got the pork soup dumplings and was raving about them as well as the fried rice and egg rolls. It was nice and clean inside so while I did pickup I would sit down if I was in the area again and had time!"
"Updated:This place is going downwards. I dined here tonight and discovered it's no longer run by the previous owner. The service & management style has obviously changed, unfortunately on the down side. The food still tastes good, but both my partner and I experienced digestive discomfort a few hours after eating here. Since Szechuanese food is often heavy spiced, I can't tell if their ingredients are fresh enough. However, I suspect their kitchen quality control is going down with new management.I probably won't come back.-------------------I was born in Chengdu, Szechuan and I can safe say that Szechuanese dim sum dishes here are authentic, like dandan noodles, honeyed garlic noodle, hot & sour noodles. However, other dishes here are among average in Chinatown.I talked to the Chef once and he is from Szechuan, too.The management of the restaurant need improvement, as they get swamped when there are too many customers."
"Love this place. I grew up in Philly and moved to Miami. Any time I am back in Philly I go to Ocean Harbor for dim sum with my son. It's a tradition! Love the food and variety of choices!"
"good spot for some quick dimsum. The soup dumplings are good but I think I enjoy the Nan Xiangs at NYC better. The wonton in chili oil was also a good starter and I love that it wasnt too spicy hehe Pan fried soup dumplings were nice and plump and held a good amount of"soup" while not getting soggy. Ho fun was tasty and was a group favorite and the sweet and sour fish was also a nice change from our usual orders. we also got the red bean cake which was surprisingly good and filling. Good ending for our dimsum dinner.service was nice and quick but I do wish they start accepting cards soon."
"How awesome is it to have a Tibetan momo spot in my nearby Chestnut Hill Farmer's Market? I have long loved momos - be they Nepalese or Tibetan. In Vienna, I have my go-to Tibetan and Nepalese eateries whenever I get a craving. And I have the same in Philadelphia - well not the Nepalese. This stand in the market usually has an offering of six different types of Momos. Recently I took home the beef, the butternut squash, and the spinach & potato nonos. Of course I asked for their hot sauce as well. They tasted good and hit the spot. Now in the future, the proprietor tells me he wants to make Tibetan Shapale for sale. When that happens you can add a star to this review."
"I had been to the Cherry Hill location and was excited for this one to open. The crab and pork soup dumplings will always be a staple item for me. My gf and I also enjoyed the scallion pancake with sliced beef. Shanghai Sui Mai was decent but I think next time I'd stick with the chicken sui mai."
"How have I gone all my life without eating at LeeHow Fook? Or have I been there and just forgot? Anyway, I'm so glad I went recently.I needed delivery, and they deliver. I went with hot and sour soup, green beans, and Fook's noodles. If they put their name on the dish, I assume they are proud of it. They should be--those noodles are delicious. They have the right amount of chewiness, and the sauce is rich and flavorful from the pork. The green beans were also really tasty. The hot and sour soup was just fine. i went to bed with a full belly, lots of leftovers to enjoy later, and a Warren Zevon song in my head."
"The best dumpling place around! The food is always delicious and everyone here is so friendly! I love coming here especially when I want some comfort food!!"
"Our first time back at Jade Harbor in seven years, but it may not be our last visit as we have family friends who have moved into this lower Bustleton Avenue ever expanding Asian neighborhood. It looks the same except for gradual aging of the facility. No dim sum available on a Wednesday late afternoon, so we ordered off the regular menu. The five of us ordered:1. Hot & Sour Soup - A large bowl for serving the table, full of mushrooms, sprouts, bits of pork and heavy dose of vinegar. It was quite good, but perhaps a little too salty.2. Salt/Pepper Pork (my interpretation) - Crisply wok fried chunks of lightly breaded on the bone pork with green garnish. Pretty good, but it would have been less work and mess to have it in the form of pork chops. 3. Grouper in Fujianese Sauce - I forgot that Fuzhou cuisine is even sweeter than Cantonese, so these fillets were coated and deep fried into a yellow golden platter, that while very tasty, had some of us concerned about sugar intake.4. Short Ribs in Garlic Sauce - By the fact that most of this beef dish was consumed before we left, it was the most popular choice on our table lazy susan. Bone in, it was a bit of a challenge to work the morsels of meat off the bone, but the savory garlic sauce and tenderness of the star attraction made it worthwhile.5. General's Chicken - There may never have been a General Tso in Chinese history, but his namesake dish was well interpreted by this kitchen. Large chunks, lightly breaded and wokked with a nice semi fruity/pepper dark amber sauce, with heavy broccoli garnish, it was an easy tasty choice, without bones or other impediments to enjoyment. 6. Eggplant in Garlic Sauce - Always a favorite veggie dish, this one came with a mix of other veggies. It was soft and pungent and delicious. It was exactly what was expected. Sliced oranges with the bill is always a nice touch. We enjoyed our family feast. The food definitely contributed significantly to our enjoyment."
"I've had Dump N Roll a few times now and every time it's delicious! All of their menu items are great but my faves are the veggie dumplings, Mac and Cheese egg roll, cheeseburger wontons, and pad Thai spring rolls. The soy sauce they serve with the dumplings is so addicting! The owner and staff are always pleasant. I've had them at a few events and during KOP food truck Tuesdays. Fast and friendly service. Definitely check them out if you see them!"
"Place was clean service was fast and polite food was amazing fresh and hot only issue was for the price and serving size that part didn't add up regular store be at 13 dollars for tso here they are strong 25 dollars and they serving size is compare to a scoop honestly but I would give it a second chance"
