"This is the best tribute I can give a place. I tried them for the first time yesterday afternoon. I've since felt the need to come back twice. Once again this morning for breakfast. Again for an afternoon coffee and a pound of beans to take home. Something had hit me. It's not often I'm immediately compelled to come back to a place this often. The coffee I've had is perfect so far. Every baked good has been delectable. I appreciate that they have a grill for fresh breakfast sandwiches. The space is comfortable to hang out in. And the employees are super friendly. Why wouldn't anyone want to come here three times in 24 hours?"
"Five stars for the black drip coffee I enjoyed on a sunny Saturday at this beautiful Ultimo location! Steps from Rittenhouse Square, this is an awesome spot to fuel up before your weekend adventure. I took a bar-style spot at the window to journal and enjoy my coffee, which made for amazing people watching and good vibes all around. This is a perfect spot to cozy up and work, read, study, write, or have a chat, but know that it does get fairly busy and finding a spot inside can be cutthroat. Another special shoutout for the pastry case, which had a really nice variety of breads, cookies, and the like. I went with a piece of lemon poppyseed bread and it was very tasty. I can see myself stopping here for cold brew on my way to hang in the park, or treating myself to working in their bright environment. I look forward to grabbing their beans for my coffee maker at home and checking out some more of their locations in the very near future."
"Pretty standard coffee shop that I found on my recent trip to Philly. It was within walking distance from my hotel. I got there around 10am and the pastry selection was already slim, so I'm not sure if that's a normal thing. I ordered an almond croissant and cold brew. Coffee was good, and croissant was just okay. Spacious coffee shop and there were several people reading and getting work done. Worth visiting again."
"Really good coffee, really good pastries, really fast service, really amazing location that's on my way to everything. What more could you want out of a neighborhood coffee shop? They have rotating seasonal latte options and also a fairly nice seating area - cozier than some of the more modern stark WHITE places you'll find nearby, and spacious enough if you wanted to come get some work done or have a chat. I had a collection back when I lived in Rochester called "places to breakup with someone or have otherwise uncomfortable conversations" and, if I had one for Philly, this would be on the list. A high ambience honor. I only had a black coffee and found it quite memorable. I will be back time and time again and look forward to adding this into my regular work rotation. Big fan of the quiet neighborhood this coffee shop is situated in and also appreciate the branding / care in presentation. See you soon, peddlah."
"I stopped here for a quick coffee and bite to eat in the morning before heading into work. I just ordered the house coffee and a breakfast sandwich on a muffin with cheese, bacon, egg, and spinach. The sandwich and coffee were good. If I were a picky coffee person I bet I would have loved this place, but I'm not. This is more of a 3.5 star for me and provides a minimalist approach. Eg there is a small bench inside, no real tables just end tables, and a few chairs stacked up in the corner. Not a ton either on the hot food menu but the pasteries looked very good. Service was quick and friendly with some locals who are regulors here. Would recommend this place for a quick stop to pick up and take in on your way to work."
"Now I am not a coffee or espresso snob, and I am not even sure if I can rely on my taste buds to have any kind of authority on those things... but I think that Suprema has some quality stuff! It's situated on a convenient corner that I often pass while walking my dogs. I've noticed other dogs pop in with their owners to order, so I decided one day to do the same. I've returned many times at this point and highly recommend any espresso drinks. I've also enjoyed their iced chai latte. The spice is perfection.Another highlight is that they have many dairy alternatives. I'm an oat milk girl and love that it is becoming a more commonplace offering. The pricing is on the more expensive side and the small is... tiny. But I've yet to be disappointed with what I have gotten for what I paid. If you haven't stopped in to give Suprema a chance yet, and you're a coffee person, definitely go for it!"
"Love this adorable local coffee shop!I am doing a show at a theater a few blocks away and this has become a go-to for me and my cast. The service is always fast, there are a good amount of seating options, and everything I tried is delish! It is a great spot to grab a coffee, bring your laptop, and get some work done. I had the iced latte and avocado ricotta toast at my most recent visit. The latte was great as always. I LOVE their avocado ricotta toast! The olive oil and red pepper flakes are a nice addition and it is beautifully presented. I would get this again and again!"
"There is a new coffee shop in the area that has only been open for a few months, so everything looks new and bright! It offers a good selection on the menu and has a warm environment. Both indoor and outdoor areas are available."
"Their chocolate croissants are the best I've had. I also love their sausage and veggie strattas!"
"What a fantastic coffee experience! Phoenix, our barista, explained the in house roasted coffee to us and whipped up an amazing, stunning and delicious mocha cardamom latte for my wonderful wife. I, of course, had a pure espresso! We had a friendly conversation and totally enjoyed the atmosphere and pride of this local shop. The mocha cardamom flavoring was subtle and smooth. The light roast espresso was fruity and needed no sweetener and had a delightful finish. We obtained a package of their in house roasted Ethiopian beans to take home. I look forward to grinding and brewing back in Florida!Life is great with an amazing, unique, high quality, local coffee."
"Found this Nice little coffee spot just a few steps away from the Airbnb I was staying in. Owned by 2 Friends and Philly natives, they roast their own beans and craft some great coffee. Cappuccino was very good but the roasted drip was even better. A choice of two blends, I chose the revolver blend- smooth cocoa with warm spices. It was a nice way to start the day. Staff is super nice and friendly. Just an overall great neighborhood spot!"

I came to OCC with a friend for some afternoon lattes. I was shocked at how crowded it was but apparently lots of other people needed a 2pm pick-me-up.Since there were no seats inside, we walked to the back of the café and found they have a deck with lots of patio furniture. It was sunny and beautiful so we just sat outside and pretended we were at the shore. The ambiance definitely helped us achieve those vibes. The location is also mighty convenient as it's literally a stone's throw away from the Olive Street parking garage. In sum: this place is adorable.

Elixr serves consistently good coffee! I tried their specialty lattes: Strawberry OatMilk Latte & Caramel Black Salt Latte. I preferred the Strawberry OatMilk Latte more. It was subtly sweet and tasted like strawberry milk. The black pepper in the Caramel Latte threw me off, however my husband preferred it. The space is large enough for studying or catching up with friends!

Very nice bakery and easy to get to but could be hard to miss. There are a few seats for comfort. The lady taking orders is very pleasant. The hot chocolate is very chocolatey and tasty. The coffee cocoa loaf is one of the best chocolate cakes I've had.

All these bad reviews are making me lol. People be getting all worked up and it's so painfully obvious that they've never worked in the service industry. I'm so glad I moved out of Rittenhouse. Anyway, I digress.Came here today for the first time - tomorrow is their 2 year anniversary, which is pretty impressive for opening during a pandemic. While I don't drink coffee, my two friends do and said it was really tasty. I got an iced chai and really liked it. There was a nice spice to it, and it wasn't too sweet unlike 90% of other shops. The shop itself is clean, bright and minimalistic. I'm super into that. I wish they had little tables, but they do have two sides of bar seating with lots wireless charging stations, which is really cool. While they do ask you to keep your time at the seating to 45 min, we def went over that by accident, but no "mean" owner kicked us out. Also they wore masks so +++. A stream of regular customers came and went. I'm going to bring my dad here to try their coffee because he's picky but would probably like it!

Amazing breakfast sandwiches with great coffee, yes please!First food item I tried here was a pork roll, egg, and cheese sandwich. They load up the pork roll with at least two slabs of it and hot dam you can really cherish the sodium packed delicioso breakfast meat in this option.Later in the week I tried their Chicken salad in a Croissant, which came with fresh apples, nuts, and cranberries. This sandwich tasted magnificently light and yet filled you up with the nutrition packed yummy proteins spread inside the Croissant.Lastly, the dark roast coffee, this has a sweet biting taste to it, not overly dark. I splurged yesterday, and also tried the cappuccino, I am always hesitant to try cappuccino out as I have very high expectations. Luckily, the cappuccino was outstanding here. A little more pricey than the drip coffee but it doesn't let you down when you feel like mixing up your daily caffeine routine.I do not see any competition for my coffee business monies to be spent anywhere else in the borough of Ambler. I plan on reviewing many more restaurants in the borough of Ambler, if it interests you to stay abreast to the cuisines offered in Ambler, feel free to follow me on my journey. As always people SYOY!!!

Madis is a very cute coffee spot with lots of seating, but it also gets extremely busy. Their drinks are definitely pricey, but you're paying in part for the ambiance and quality coffee. I came here in the early afternoon thinking that I would beat the Drexel rush, but even at ~1:30pm it was absolutely packed. Be prepared to potentially hunt for a table, because even though there are plenty of seats, there are also plenty of people! I got a ginger vanilla latte and ended up paying over $8! It was a solid latte, but there was no ginger flavor at all. The prices of coffee have skyrocketed in the past few years so I understand that ~$6-8 is standard for small coffee shops now, but at that price it should at least taste as advertised.I will probably try to find a different coffee spot so I don't have to fight for seating, but madis clearly already has a loyal fan base for good reason.

"Cute hipster coffees shop near Rittenhouse Square. It's hidden in an alley, so you just might miss it! They roast their own beans and have blends from all around the world. My husband enjoyed his pour over and my tahitian sea salt mocha was absolutely delicious. Their pastry case was stacked with some of the best looking pastries I've seen in a long time, my daughters really enjoyed their doughnuts and the croissants were fat, flaky, and buttery. We got in around ten and found a nice little table to sit at, but the line got super long quickly after. This place is PRIME for people watching. It was like a little fashion show from my little seat and I loved every single minute of it."
"If you're in the Rittenhouse Square area, Vibrant Coffee Roasters is THE PLACE to get your coffee (then walk it to the park if it's nice outside; this is not really a place you sit inside at, and while there are a few tables outside you're literally just a minute from a nicer atmosphere then "generic city sidewalk").I can't speak to any of the baked goods, there weren't any vegan options. The Signature Lattes are where they shine (seriously, look through other reviews), and they change with the season. When we first came it was early summer, and we tried the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Latte and Cookie Butter Latte both iced with oat milk and an extra shot of espresso. SO GOOD. When it comes to lattes, personally I think you've always got to add an extra shot (in this case, the drink as is comes with two shots - again, that's just not enough caffeine for me). It adds more of that coffee flavor (and Vibrant roasts an exceptional bean - I regret not buying a bag!) and cuts back on the sugaryness of the flavoring. The Cinnamon Toast Crunch Latte tasted like the milk leftover from a bowl of cereal! The Cookie Butter Latte was somehow both sweet AND savory, and for sure my favorite of the two. Our drinks took a little longer to come out than other folks in line (again, because of all the espresso) and there's no real place to wait, so we were just sort of in everyone's way. It seems like regulars here don't mind though, they're in and out so fast. I appreciate there was a bathroom to use while we waited too!"
"Rivals Bros Coffee is a cute little coffee shop in South Philly that sits off of Passyunk Ave. I came here because I was told by a friend of mine that they had the best coffee in Philly, and after my experience, I can see that it was no lie. Rival Bros has some of the best coffee I've drunk in a while. They have cute decor with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating as well as fast and friendly service. After looking over the menu I decided to order an iced mocha and a vanilla brioche donut. Whew, Chile! After drinking my iced Mocha, I can see why Rival Bros logos are a boxing ring and two men appearing as if they're about to fight. Their coffee is so strong it feels like someone punched you in the face every time you take a sip ... which is perfect for a 9th-grade teacher who has been run ragged because they've had to teach through a pandemic since March of 2020! Even after asking for extra chocolate in my Mocha, it was still some of the strongest coffee I've ever had, and I loved every bit of it. I'd like to add that my Mocha went perfectly with my vanilla brioche donut. All in all, I would like to say that Rival Bros Coffee will get you RIGHT if you have a long day ahead of you, and like my friend said, it is the best coffee in the Southside of Philly!"
"This place is a gem! Great coffee and bites. Also a great place to get out of the house and get some work done for remote workers."
"Really awesome little coffee shop. This was my first time stopping in but I was impressed with the clean, no nonsense approach to coffee. The barista was very nice, informative, and responsive to myself and every guest who came in while I was there. Prices are straight forward whole numbers for both coffee and for baked goods. BYO cup is only a buck! What a steal! They have some merch for sale like shirts & coffee mugs and tumblers. When I was there they had 3 caffeinated options and a decaf. The "Harmony" blend was delicious. Very light and flavorful without tasting synthetic or fake. The "Somewhere" blend was a bit more bold. Both excellent choices. I also loved the Delco Blend! I didn't taste the decaf. They also sell whole bean coffee, their prices are reasonable especially considering the quality you get. They have seating both inside and outside... Parking is street only or the lot around back. I'm glad this place is here, hopefully they will stick around. I know it can be hard for small coffee shops but it seems as though this place has what it takes!"
"This is close to 30th street station and a great little coffee shop with plenty of options. Although their menu is not huge, they have a lots of waffles, smoothies, and coffee to offer. The waffles are on the smaller size but have great additions to them. The poached eggs on top are perfect. The creama on the avocado waffle was delicious! Most of the fare offer a sweet and savory bite! The staff was nice and were quick in ordering and delivering of food. I loved that real silverware was provided!"
"Burlap and Bean has become our go-to coffee shop in Media when we are in-town visiting family from Chicago. Of all the competition in the area: Burlap is the standout for a variety of reasons.First, it is the best tasting and highest quality coffee. From drip/black coffee to fancy/creative espresso drinks: you can't go wrong. Everything is delicious and will meet your coffee needs. Some personal favorites are the nitro cold brew and seasonal lattes such as the Honey Bee Latte.Second, the food is delicious! I've had a couple of their salads and the quantity, quality, and freshness is divine. I had the strawberry almond salad today and it was perfect on this hot day. My husband had the avocado toast and it was scrumptious. They do not hold back on the avocado or other ingredients, creating a hearty and flavorful experience!Third, the staff are friendly, the location is clean and inviting, and the plants/pots are fun to look over as you wait! We love it and always look forward to the next stop. We also always get beans to take home with us to prolong the deliciousness!Disclaimer: for the fresh/high quality ingredients and coffee, you will need to wait and pay the higher prices. If you want cheap/fast coffee and food, this may not be the place for you. You get what you pay/wait for here: THE BEST! Thanks for the high quality coffee and food, Burlap and Bean! See you soon!"
"Simple, stylish cafe with great coffee and friendly staff who love to serve you and talk about coffee. My cafe latte was delicious. They seem passionate about quality, delicious coffee. They have pastries on the weekends, but food is not their focus. Not much else to say. Highly recommended."
"We came in on the recommendation of friends and were surprised to find an operation in the lobby area of a large office building. This coffee bar needs to serve its drinks in paper cups, presumably because there's no possibility of running a dishwasher in the limited space that's available. We ordered pour-overs and croissants and were delighted by the quality of both the espresso drinks and the pastries. The communal table in front of the coffee bar worked perfectly for us. Because there's WiFi and clean restrooms, one can linger over a cup of coffee just as in a real coffee shop.We especially liked the Ethiopian pour-over, which had an ineffable cherry taste that we haven't yet been able to duplicate at home with other Ethiopian coffees.Writing about the 12th Street Elixr in 2019, I concluded: "It's basically impossible not to like this café, which I recommend very highly." I feel exactly the same way about this location!"
"I loved the vibe of Reanimator Coffee. The inside set up feels very welcoming, and I liked that there was ample seating. On the day I went, it was pretty nice outside too, so I enjoyed that there was outdoor seating available as well. I got an Iced Americano, which was pretty standard but good. I like the reusable cups that the drinks came in. My friend got the Blackberry Sage Tonic, which I also thought was really tasty. I would happily come back here!"
"Getting into Philly at 8:46am via Amtrak, I found myself in desperate need to find a coffee shop with ample seating but not too much noise to take a 9:30am zoom call so that my boss would think I am still in New York ahahahaa.I rushed over to Alchemy, which is a highly rated coffee shop just down the street, but that place felt like a Doctors office and was packed with people jamming away at their laptops with the charger plugged in. Idk, vibes were off in there...some coffee shops just be doing too much these days...I had mentally bookmarked Black Turtle Coffee on the way as a viable second option, so did a quick reverse pivot like a prime Allen Iverson and started walking back that way. Upon entry, I knew this was exactly what I was looking for:Ample seating, music audible but low enough, and a handful of other people in here just posted.I was seated with my laptop open, noise canceling WH-H910N headphones on by 9:20 and CRUSHED that zoom call powered by this Black Turtle Coffee black americano. My one gripe was that $5 seemed a bit expensive for an americano, but I'm used to nyc prices so I didn't even think about that until I started typing this lmao. I just tap my apple pay and let Jesus take the wheel.I sit here, my dear reader, jamming away at my laptop with the charger plugged in just LOCKED in and vibing. Black Turtle Coffee is a fantastic place to come get some work done, write pointless food reviews, or just spend some time with yourself. We don't spend enough time with ourselves these days smh.IG @jnov_Tiktok @jnov__"
"We love this coffee shop located inside Wissahickon brewing. The coffees are amazing and made by great baristas. They serve a varieties of pastries as well. There is tons of seating both indoors and outdoors (covered and uncovered)"
"A cozy open feel cafe. The ceiling to floor window front (garage style) is perfect for a sunny day! There is bar style high top seating facing the street with regular tables spread about on the main floor. They take their time making each cup that's finely finished with latte art. Some baked goods are available as well so I had to indulge! The servers were welcoming upon arrival and took my order with a smile."
"I have been coming here for over a year now. I used to go to one in center city, but this is much closer for me. Elixir always have great coffee, and also seasonal drinks which aren't super sweet. My favourite is Kabocha latte in the Fall. Service is always friendly, helpful, and efficient. Since this location is inside a high rise building they are closed on weekends (which is a pity, but not too bad). I have been getting their winter seasonal drink - Butterscotch Pink Peppercorn latte with almond milk. It has subtle butterscotch flavour, a very nice pink peppercorn highlight, and subtle sweetness. Win win!"
"I was out of beans and wanted to try a local roaster. A Yelper noted that they have some lighter roasts here, which is up my alley. I ordered a bag of beans and 2 drinks, and my husband and I walked over. They were putting our drinks on the counter as I arrived. I grabbed my bag of beans and my drinks bypassing the small group that was inside waiting. Sweet! My drip coffee was good: not too roasty but smooth and enjoyable. My husband's iced mocha was rich. They use a dark chocolate that isn't very sweet. It gives it a great flavor, not tasting like hot chocolate. At home, the beans make a good cup of coffee in my Aeropress. The shop itself is tiny and hip with lots of plants."
"Pretty simple menu, coffee flavor was good! I tried their iced coffee with milk. The iced coffee only comes in one size."
