"I am sorry that I did not take pictures of my lunch. My husband and picked up my son and his fiancé, and drove to this neighborhood. We noticed that this restaurant had a table outside and the menu looked good. The excellent server seemed to be happy and got everything right with our order. We ordered the hush puppies, which were fair. I am picky about my hush puppies. Hush puppies are better in the southern states. I had the bread pudding French toast, and it was the most delicious French toast that I had ever tasted. My husband agreed with me. My husband had pork tacos. They had an outstanding favor, and were seasoned exceptionally. My future daughter-in-law had a biscuit sandwich with some fries. I tried the fries. The fries needed some extra salt. My son had an excellent-looking pizza, which was to die for. When we go back here, I am going to order French toast again, and perhaps a pizza to take home. The meal was fast to come out, despite all of the tables being filled outside. This was an outstanding day, seeing my son, his supportive fiancé, and an excellent restaurant we found!"
"It's been a while since I've dined here because they stopped serving lunch following the pandemic. Last night two friends and I met for dinner, and it was one of the best experiences I've ever had here!I had made a reservation for 5:30pm. We all arrived early and they were happy to seat us early. They were starting to get busy (by the time we left the place was completely packed!). Our server, Mirabel (?), was wonderful -- very friendly, attentive, and accurate. Since it was the others' first time, I insisted they try the Estia Chips, which are a crowd favorite. Indeed, it was better than I'd remembered; in fact, one of the gentlemen in our party said it was "the best zucchini he's ever had." The house bread and hummus were also delicious; their hummus is one of the best.I opted for the Avgolemono (soup) and Dolmades as my meal -- both of which I've had on multiple prior occasions. Portions and temperatures were perfect and the flavor was out of this world! We all enjoyed glasses of wine (rose for me). No dessert as we were all pretty full.I am so happy I had a chance to come back and will continue to recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area. My friends were highly impressed and said it was worth every penny!"

Visit Restaurant Page"I love cocktails, so when my friend told me we must go to R&D to try their drinks, you couldn't get me there fast enough. My immediate thoughts upon entering were, this place is cool and welcoming. It reminded me of some of my fave cocktail bars back in Miami, because it had a friendly host, a poppin' bar crowd and a packed house in general. I started with the Paloma milk punch which is one of their most popular cocktails. Now, I love cocktails and yet I am not a big fan of clarified drinks. However, this was bomb! And when in Rome, I obviously had to try a martini. I opted for the Four Seasons Martini which has ramp gin, dry vermouth, aquavit, pickled ramp. It was vegetal, spirit forward, and everything you'd expect a drink to taste like from that description. I loved it!All in all, I would return as the drinks were superb and the vibes were even better. Put this on your list whether you live in Philly or not!"
"Came here with my partner for a lil taco celebration this weekend. I come for the margs and tacos but I stay because I love the vibez. Who doesn't love tacos, nachos, margaritas ?!Well besides my partner who doesn't drink during Ramadan so it was spirit-free for him. He tried the tropical avocado Fresca and the prickly pear lemonade. Yumm!!I'm normally a Cadillac Margarita girl as long as it's 100% blue agave and no box mix I'm good to go. I was a sucker for the Aztec Old Fashioned though and it was a great choice.Tuna tacos to die for. Overflowing with tuna. All the other tacos I tried I loved and pour me some of that hot salsa please.Staff was great and friendly. Happy to be there!"
"Very quick service - to the point where it was a bit scary. We order and within 5 minutes all the food was out. We skipped drinks - pricy but looked good. Enjoyed the decor. Top dishes were the eggplant , the mushrooms sliders and the crab cakes Strongly disliked the dry edamame dumplings. Meatballs were ok but the star of the dish was the focaccia"
"Finally took an afternoon coffee break at Enswell after wanting to try since they opened, and am so glad I did! A lot to love here:1) One of the most beautiful cafe settings I've been to. It's like being transported to somewhere in Europe - muted rococo but somehow modern? I love every design choice from the lighting fixtures to the bar stools to the color palette and everything in between.2) Every staff member I encountered was kind, helpful, and quick with a recommendation or explanation.3) Coffee menu is all Rival Bros (a favorite of mine) and you can even get their canned options if you're on the go. My chai was lovely!I do wish there was bit more depth to the daytime food menu. I love an all day cafe but would love to see more robust food options beyond pastry, even if just grab and go, for the daytime/lunch hours. The dinner menu looks good, with some smaller and larger plate options available, as well as a full bar. I look forward to returning and am so grateful to have this gem of a shop on Spruce!"
"Kiddo has taken over the location of the old Pinefish. Outside a similar layout, you'd probably wouldn't make any connection as they have done an amazing job renovating. Now I do miss Pinefish, however, Kiddo should do well.First, cocktails. I loved walking in and passed their bar with the exposed brick. Maybe being seated at the bar wouldn't be such a bad thing. I'm not normally one to rave about a vodka drink, however, did very much enjoy the Foot Traffic. As for food, you can probably get away with a pasta and main or a pasta and a few apps. Their mushroom fondue was a great way to start things off. Then came the Pork Chop, which was very filling. The menu is on the smaller side, but there is no shortage of quality.I believe they rotate the dessert menu, so not sure how my ranking of the Pear dessert (very good) will influence your selection. Needless to say, they have some decent desserts for you to take your pick.Overall, IMO, you should check out Kiddo. Reservation recommended."
"Big portions. Good service. Good food.Esquites Guacamole $16 lots of chips and good amount of dipOptopus Al Pastor $16 soft, flavorful, potatoes that came with it was a nice touchBrisket Enchiladas $17 came out nice and hot! Be careful! Was good.Sweet Plantains $8 great snack even after taking it home for the next dayEverything we ordered was great portion size to share among the two of us."
"This place is great. The food, the drinks, the service, and the door people are awesome. The ambiance was fantastic as well, we had a great time. Quick note to the management: we were told outright "we don't do well with big parties". We showed up, we bought a ton of stuff, we tipped heavy. I get it, you have high turn over for cocktails, and I'm sorry to spring that on you. But if you're turning away big parties because 'you don't do well with it', might be something to reassess."
"The service was really great. Thank you so much to Izzy and the runners for giving such attention to detail to our meal and brunch. The complimentary champagne was a lovely touch. The meal itself was tasty and but they were limited on what was available. Obviously they get busy during brunch and they just run out of things. That's ok. The cocktails were.... Too darn good. But then again, for the folks who decided to drink a pitcher of mimosas... May the odds be in your favor! Elise, their social media content creator, was adorable! She really created a nice vibe for those who wanted pictures or videos of the day. It suits their dynamic of group fun. All in all, we had a blast. I can see why this is a local dining staple. We will be back again! (IYKYK as of this post STREET parking on Sundays is free.)"
"Fantastic all around: decor, drinks, food, bartenders, staff, vibes. My favorite kind of spot that totally owns its originality and makes anyone feel welcomed and at-home.I tried the Nashville hot chicken sandwich, wings, and parmesan pepper tots. The tots are addicting comfort food that I absolutely recommend not skipping. I appreciate that they have great vegan options and imagine the whole menu translates really well to takeout, if that's the kind of vibe you're feeling instead. The sandwich was super filling and not overly spicy, if you're a spice hesitant person.I grabbed a cider on tap and also tried the Cosmo Cloud cocktail, served with cotton candy and an absolute treat. I don't think I could do more than one (especially since this drink comes with a shaker full of cocktail remains...so it almost drinks like two cocktails) but I highly recommend giving it a go if you're in a sweet tooth kind of mood.Cannot wait until my next visit to South Street and Tmoms! Follow along on their social for all the fun and collabs they cook up all year long."
"The food here is great!! I love love their nachos! Love the picked onions and the "expensive cheese" that they use lol. The burrito my husband got had a little too much rice and beans. Their chicken tinga is flavored well. Ive also had their korean inspired dishes and loved the fusion flavor. I have gotten food through door dash and also sat their to eat and both experiences were good! Great mexican food in the neighborhood."

The wifey and I decided to visit Manayunk with no plans, other than to walk around and eat. A quick search and The Goat's Beard was promising. As soon as I walked in I said, "Yup, this is our jam," and our jam it was. The ambiance was exactly what I look for when deciding were to nosh. The bartender was very nice and attentive. She had that bar on lockdown; it wasn't long after we entered the facility that the place got busy. She handled it though. The beer selection was decent but they did have a homemade IPA that was light, but delish. We weren't starving so we opted to share the pretzel bites and a kale salad. The pretzels were perfectly warm and perfect for dipping into the beer cheese...it was gooey and so great, I saved some to add to the chicken on my kale salad...I'm crazy like that. Now, I'm not one for ordering salads but this was, by far, one of the best salads I've tasted. The kale wasn't overly crunchy, but oddly tender, and definitely not soggy, and the blend of the dressing, butternut squash, raisins (or maybe they were craisins) and the bits of apples in there, amazing! The chicken was cooked really well...I recommend slopping some of the leftover beer cheese on there...so choice. The place got packed right when we finished. A true testament to a great bar! I will go back, but there are so many other places in Manayunk, it might not be right away. If you're in Manayunk on whim...this just might be your jam! Let's go.....

Came here for my mom's birthday this past weekend and it was such a great experience! for some reason, quite a few restaurants in PA do not allow dogs in their outdoor seating tables and this was one of the very few restaurants that did! So glad since the food, service and environment exceeded our expectations! It was everyone's first time at a Greek restaurant and i would definitely come back

One of my new favorite spots in the city for a cocktail and good vibes. I went with the Paloma Milk Punch which is their most popular cocktail on the menu and for good reason - it pours clear, is arguably TOO smooth, and is served with R&D branded ice. I don't think I'll ever come here and not order this cocktail. I also tried a classic margarita that was tajin-rimmed to perfection and glorious. We bellied up to the bar and were served by bartender Mike who kept the drinks flowing and was generally a total rockstar with recommendations. R&D has an excellent happy hour menu (though their happy hour is literally only ONE hour Mon-Thurs) and if I wasn't headed to dinner directly after, I would have loved to have tried their house popcorn. Bonus? They also serve Suraya hummus! Will have to save for my next visit. I am also looking forward to heading back and enjoying the indoor/outdoor feel in the summertime. This is clearly a very popular spot for date night (I think we saw 3-4 first or second dates occurring all around us!) so come for the great cocktails and stay for the eavesdropping. Thank you for a wonderful time, R&D!

I would give 6 stars if I could!!! Such a great addition to Havertown! The food is delicious, love the vibe and the service is amazing!!!The pineapple express wings were AMAZING! I saw some instagram stories saying to get them and our server Marissa (who was the sweetest by the way) sealed the deal by saying awesome they were- she was right!!! I am not a huge wing person and could have eaten 20 of them! The guac is so good and fresh; served with warm chips. My husband and I both got fajitas- shrimp and steak, soooo good! Also the cucumber marg was great, strong (not mad about that) and delicious!Adding this in because my husband is a huge sports guy- the Phillies ended and within minutes they put on March Madness games- no awkward gap where you're watching infomercials for hours (it is his pet peeve haha). So happy that Al Pastor is in town! Can't wait to return!

After a handful of visits I figured it was time for a review! I've been for both weeknight dinners and a Saturday lunches and have always been met with friendly and quick service in the charming space. I do love that that menu is changed out seasonally and if I'm being honest the lunch menu has been my favorite! I've never had such a great plant based omelette before and the avocado toast is delicious! Cocktails/Mocktails are creative and very enjoyable! Such a great spot to stop into during a stroll down 4th St if you're lucky enough to grab a seat, highly suggest a reservation!

Walking into Enswell feels like walking into the cafe of a palace that was designed by Riccardo Tisci. They nailed that boujee, yet not pretentious feel on the interior. It's warm and cozy, but I still feel classy af in here.Sometimes you walk into a place like this and it just feels inauthentic, kind of like it's a movie set. Just no character. Not here.Anyways, my nickname in high school was "plain croissant" because I love a plain croissant more than I love a drunk cigarette.Much to my chagrin, they were out of plain croissants so I had to call an audible- BLUE 42, GREEN 80, OMAHA! OMAHA!- and went with the Za'atar Croissant as the lady began selling me on it like a prime Gordon Gekko.A Za'atar croissant is literally just a plain croissant with Za'atar spices in it, and I love both of those things so this crossover inevitably blew me away. When God closes the plain croissant door, he opens the Za'atar croissant window. GOD DID!We sat at the bar as we just wanted pastries and lattes, but they do have a full lunch/drink menu as well. The attention to detail and artistry on these lattes was inspirational, as they had little flakes of lavender on top of my lavender latte. Music selection was great as well as I even shazam'd a few songs, but I gotta gatekeep those I'm sorry. When I see my high school friends, I will need to inform them my new nickname is "Za'atar croissant."THANK YOU ENSWELL I'LL BE BACK ASAP ROCKY!IG @jnov_Tiktok @jnov__

Get a sitter for the kiddos and head over here asap! This new restaurant in the old Pinefish space is the perfect place for a date, girls night, group hang, and you could even bring your parents here. It's a small menu and vegetable forward, but there were 2 meat entrees when we were there and the duck was excellent. They have a small drinks menu and I really appreciated that they had a non-alcoholic section- love a shrub mocktail with all the fixings, makes a girl feel special! We got a snack (brussels), salad (chicory), pasta (lumaconi-like a fancy mac and cheese), and the duck (perfectly cooked) and we barely had room for dessert (so we got one to go and split the zeppoli). Service was great and all the food we got was delicious, interesting, and beautifully presented, but not pretentious. The soundtrack was on point, immaculate vibes, I'm not kiddoing when I say this is my new favorite spot to recommend to people!

I had a good time here! There is a lot of space, but they took a while to get us in which was absurd because it wasn't really busy -- however food came fast and service was overall good! The portions of tacos were fair, but we also came out happy hour, so I don't know if I would pay full price for the tacos! They were yummy but I wasn't blown away! I liked how the regular guac was a little bit spicy and they had interesting variations of the guacamole, like yellowfin etc.

"This place has been all over social media recently, so my boyfriend and I, being the ramen lovers that we are, made our way into to try this Blade Runner inspired basement Ramen joint. Probably the worst thing about this place is that it's first come first serve-- but that's typical in Japan, so i didn't find it too annoying. Also it weeds about people that really don't want to be there, only people who REALLY want to try a place. It looks like this place used to be a diner, but they've outfitted everything with ambient neon lights and mirrors (I've never seen Blade Runner). The front half is a typical diner setup of counter space seating and small 2/4 top tables, and then the back of the restaurant is larger booths that they use for communal seating (fine by me) and then two larger tables if you're willing to wait. Okay now let's get to the food & drinks, we got:--Tori Karaage ($12.00) Japanese boneless fried chicken, sweet sauce, spicy mayo--Tonkotsu Chashumen ($17.00) with 3pc Chashu is their signature hakata style "tonkotsu" (pork bone broth boiled over 24 hrs) noodle soup w/ marinated chashu pork, shiitake, menma, red pickled ginger, sesame, scallions & drizzled w/ roasted garlic oil, served w/ straight noodles.--Shoyu Chashumen ($17.00) with 3pc Chashu, is their soy-flavored wavy noodle soup, topped w/ marinated chashu pork, shiitake, menma, red pickled ginger, naruto, sesame, & scallions, served with wavy noodles. --Ajitama ($2.00) 2 Marinated Boiled Eggs (two for each ramen we added). --Electric Sheep ($14.00) Japanese Gin, Cherry Blossom Calpico, Elderflower Tonic, Strawberry Bubbles -- Deckard ($15.00) Japanese Whisky, Cherry Shochu, St Germaine, Citrus, Egg WhiteOf the two ramens the Shoyu Chashumen was the clear favorite. The brother was so flavorful and just vastly outshined the other. If you've got enough broth over you can ask for more noodles for $4.00 (which is so Japanese, I LOVE IT). Any-- I loved this place and will surely come back once it's gets warmer outside cause waiting outside is only going to get worse as the winter goes on."
"Came here for dinner and the service and food were both great. However, the store itself seemed a bit unorganized. Our menus were extremely dirty (picture provided) and we were sitting directly next to their stash of high chairs and extra chairs. It was a bit cluttered. We ordered the espresso martini and it was sweet and delicious. We shared the bacon salad (swapped the cheese) and the spicy roni pizza. The pizza was bigger than a personal but smaller than your average pie. It was delicious and I have zero complaints! I will definitely be back to try more flavors. The salad was refreshing but a bit pricey for what it was. Flavor was there! A restaurant located in a great corner spot so it's fun for people watching and to eat some tasty pizzas."
"To think I didn't go to Tin Can Bar for so long because I was still lamenting the loss of Bait and Switch! While I do miss the prior iteration of this location, Tin Can bar is the next best thing. The same bartender who used to mix my schuylkill punches is now mixing my blood orange margaritas and they are equally kick ass. He is an amazing bartender and I'll follow him anywhere, but for my convenience I hope he stays there. The food was so good too! I wish the menu had a little more but what we tried was wonderful. We shared the Nashville wings which are the same as they were with Bait and Switch, delicious as ever. Some of my favorite wings around. My boyfriend got a burger which he really liked. I got the bbq pork platter which was a revelation. The fries are absolutely fantastic. I'd like to say I got collard greens as my other side but alas I got the macaroni and cheese but I regret nothing. We are also loving the vibe here. The decor is a little darker which we dig. The pin ball machines, though not functioning during my visit, would be pretty cool, and the outdoor area promises to be lots of fun in warmer weather. I can't express my unbridled joy at this place doing its predecessor justice. I encourage my fellow hoodrats to make this place a fixture on their neighborhood rotation, and anyone else to come give it a try."
"My boyfriend and I absolutely loved our experience at Ocho Rios Resturant in East Passyunk! We stopped in here for lunch today and were happy we did because it was fantastic! Authentic Jamaican food and that truly exceeded my expectations! I am not one to have Jamaican food too too often but after dining here I will certainly be back and I can't wait to try more! My boyfriend ordered the chicken soup which was extremely tasty. It had a tiny kick to it which was perfect. The carrots were sliced so thinly and the broth / chicken had great flavor. I ordered the garlic shrimp. Our waiter told me it was his favorite thing on the menu and he wasn't wrong! I cleaned the plate! The garlicky sauce was so so tasty and the rice / beans paired perfectly with it! Also you get two sides and lots of options with a main course. I chose the rice / beans and the Mac and cheese. Whatever you do get the Mac and cheese! So so good. Like wow, truly worth its own wow. Please go try it! Upon entering we were greeted by the most friendly and kind employee who is the nephew of the owner! He was so helpful with explaining the menu to us and accommodating throughout the meal. We even had the opportunity to meet the owner and she was so appreciative of us coming in. The vibes in this resturant are excellent, extremely vibey with awesome artwork on the walls. They have outdoor seating now that it's getting warmer out which is an great perk as well. Overall we loved our experience and would highly recommend this resturant to anyone! My boyfriend and I will definitely be back and this resturant will be added to our date night rotation!"
"A great place to eat! You can taste the authenticity in the cooking! The tortillas taste like they're made at home, the meat is well cooked and seasoned.. I had the idea of adding birria to my quesadilla to create a quesabirria quesadilla and asked for consomé broth on the side to dip, I 100% recommended this! The marg was good, lightly strong but it was a Margarita. The churros weren't the best but they weren't terrible, it was something missing in the prep. I think had they'd been a little softer to the bite they'd have been great."
"Great food and drinks. Server was amazing. Had sangria, dirty martinis and asperol no complaints. Bacon wrapped dates are a must. Short rib pasta hit home. Definitely recommend. Just know it's about $75 a person with apps and drink."
"They have a GREAT happy hour. I have been here for dinner as well, but HH is on point. Sometimes they run out of things but this adventure was with my bestie who showed me their greatness! So much food from rolls to edamame. Carrot cake dessert (yes yes yum!) dumplings and a not about the wings. We had them fried hard with sauce on the size. I do not like a wet soggy wing. I'm sorry I cannot remember the server's name but she was amazing. You would know her if you experienced her. Attentive and reads the table. I was never waiting long before a new margarita appeared. Food came out in cycles to not overwhelm. We were at a small table so that's part of it but she was amazing!!!"
"Great little distillery. Nice selection of spirits and cocktails. They have some snacks you can purchase as well. Awesome bartender."
"Wishbone has some of the best crispy fried chicken. But I go for the salads!! Fantastic food all around and a huge selection of premium drinks. And most importantly, it is always served with a smile!!"
"We stopped in early, before a nearby dinner reservation, so we were able to settle into a cozy sofa and enjoy a drink without a crowd. Great cocktail, excellent service. The staff seem to really care about what they do. Made me wish I lived on this side of town again so I could become a regular. My husband's fish house punch was great. I loved my "blackmail:" rum, lime, honey, blackberry, and sparkling water. The bar was closed for an event, so I made a vow to return soon to sit at the bar and get to know them a little better."
"Really great pizza and cocktails!! I had the pharmacist which was really refreshing and I would highly recommend. We got a few salads and pizzas and I didn't get the chance to take pics of everything before my family dug in. Our server told us the pizza oven was imported and you could tell everything was really fresh and authentic! I picked the Melazzo pizza and everyone grabbed a slice right when he set it down so I missed my photo op :) but that tells you how good it looked!! I would definitely recommend that pizza!"
"Irwin's is an Italian restaurant located inside Bok Building, which was an old school revitalized as an artsy complex space. From the school desks to the chairs, the vintage furnishings of Irwin's give a nostalgic vibe. *Shallot and Thyme Focaccia **They change the housemade foccacia flavor regularly. Glad that we got to try the shallot and thyme one. The bread dough was pillowy with a shiny brown surface, while not feeling oily at all. The sweetness from the caramelized shallot and the herby fragrance from thyme made a harmonious flavor duet. *1/2 Agrodolce Chicken**SERIOUSLY how could they make the chicken (even the chicken breast!) so tender and juicy? Also can we talk about the gremolata? It was fantastic as a dish itself, and add extra textures and tangy flavors if you spread it over the meat.*Trofie (half)We know their carbs wouldn't be as amazing as their proteins but we still wanted to try. The pasta was cooked to al dente. The mushroom truffle flavor was exactly what you could easily imagine. Nothing mindblowing here. *Milk & Honey GelatoWe picked this right away because I saw it had "pistachio". The honey was very sweet, but premium in flavor. My cravings was fully satisfied as they didn't skimp on the crushed pistachios on top. Lowkey wished that the gelato melted a bit slower."
"I went to the coffee shop they have downstairs at the MOTTO Ordered a horchata latte. And a ham and cheese empanada. Omg the empanada is so good. Flaky and there was salsa roja inside it when i took a bite. I definitely recommend! If i come back to PHILLY I'll go again. Perfect service."
"Delicious cocktails. Good vibes. Friendly staff. Bring your own food. Gets pretty busy. That is all."
"The experience I had here, drinking a dark and stormy with the windows wide open on a gorgeous spring day in Philly, is what 5 star dreams are made of. I am excited to go back and try out more of the food items, but the bar is well-priced and they have a fantastic happy hour. This part of South will surely have a bit more foot traffic now that Jim's is back open, and Milkboy is a fab part of this re-renaissance.They have a great upstairs space here that hosts everything from comedy to cover bands, and you can't beat the vibes in the bar space as well. The bar staff here was accommodating, speedy, kind, and helpful during my visit, and I look forward to the next time I get to stop by."
"Nice little spot tucked in the Rittenhouse. Sexy & intimate ambiance. Superb cocktails from the bartender Omar."
"Great hidden little speakeasy. Fantastic cocktail menu with some interesting twists.Never thought about a salmon dill and onion drink but it absolutely worked!"
"Great experience! Fun guy old fashioneds and chillVibes. Will def return** came here after a weird time at Picnic and this by far was the best part of the night"
"I really love Paganos. It is hard to find good service in the city but they really nail it every time. Everyone who works there is very personable and friendly. They seem enthusiastic about taking my order and talk to me like a friend.I also like coming in for happy hour. There are sometimes good drink specials and there's always cheap bar food. Paganos is the place where everyone in commerce square comes for lunch and sometimes breakfast too.Lots of love to this place. It's great to have you here in Commerce Square."
"One of my favorite places on this side of the neighborhood. You can never really go wrong here. Good beer list. Good food."
"Delicious Mexican food with yummy margaritas! Stopped here on a Sunday afternoon for an early dinner. FYI: the whole restaurant is open like a covered patio. It was a hot day but the fans kept it pretty cool. The staff was very accommodating with my 83 year old mom and my husband who need to be near a fan. The place has a relaxed vibe. The margaritas were very good. Our server asked if we wanted sugar or salt. The food was delicious! The empanadas were nicely fried without being greasy. The birria tacos had tender beef, good flavor and the dipping broth was tasty. The chicken tacos also had good flavor and weren't overly spicy."
