"Okay, I know this says "Draft House", but let me start with the cheesesteak here. After years of traveling all over Philadelphia, I have finally found my standard bearer for best cheesesteak in the city. The bread is toasty and garlicky. The meat is nice and toasty too. Excellent flavor in meat and perfect complement with the cheese (no Wiz here). I love it so much, I devoured both mine and half my friend's. One of my friends went with the kielbasa steak. That's not me, but he was completed before I even got through half of mine, so make of that what you will.I'll note that it was the breakfast menu until 2:00. The kitchen is accommodating and there's breakfast cheesesteak on their menu, so there was no issue with preparing the dinner version. (They can also do burgers. Just ask!)As for the draft part of things: friendly frequent service but hardly overbearing, just right. Not a huge selection of beer but I found a local non-IPA that was just right. Small place, a few tables for groups and a few bar seats for individuals, but I can see it filling quickly on a Friday night. My friends and I like roads, so we love all the road signs and license plates and stuff on the wall. Your mileage (pun!) may vary. But for me, there will be return trips in the future."
"You would not expect an amazing Ethiopian restaurant behind a pretty normal dive bar but that's exactly what ERA is. We came by right as they were closing and they still sat and fed our party of 4, which was just an A+ in my book. They also sat us with a smile and did not rush us to finish our meal. The food itself was amazing, I always have a soft spot for Ethiopian food. Theres just always such a variety of flavors and it goes so well with the soft, slightly sour injera. We got the combo platter and it was enough to feed 4 people well. I can't even recall the specific meats we got but it was all just amazing so I doubt you'd be disappointed with any choices you make!"
"I visited with my friends on a weekday night. There was a DJ and a rising artist who was performing a debut single. The DJ played all the best songs and the ambiance was great.Customer service is average, not sure how the food, but looks like most were here for drinks. I had the house chardonnay and despite not really being a fan of chardonnay, it was delicious. Buttery smooth and balanced characteristics."
"Haven't eaten here but have come a few times to drink and hang out and it's a great spot. Nina the bartender is my absolute favorite! She even let us eat some dragon fruit the other day at the bar when no one else was there. This is also a great venue for watching tv or sports - my bf and I were in a game show and they let us air his main episode there. It's spacious and can fit a lot of people so it's good for a show premiere as well. Good selection of beers and drinks with friendly service."

Cool dive bar in Fishtown! (Guy Fieri where you at?!??!) Interstate Drafthouse is cozy in size but the drinks and food pack a punch of booze and flavor. Their play on the Long Island Ice Tea is fun, served in an ice tea carton and renamed the Fishtown Iced tea. The food is elevated from your usual bar food. During my visit I tasted both the grilled chicken sandwich with fries and the burger with tots. The grilled chicken sandwich was my fave, served on ciabatta with cheese, chipotle aioli, bacon, onions and avocado - an absolute perfect bite. The burger featured a cherry pepper that sort of reminded me of a cheesesteak, but better. Can't wait to try brunch!

What an unexpected find for Ethiopian! We've been wanting to try this place out for some time and we finally got around to it for a Friday date night. The place is fairly easy to find, and for us - it was just a short walk over! They had their outdoor seating set up, and the weather was perfect for some al fresco dining. They have a good list of beers (bottles and drafts) along with some pretty decent vegetarian options. We chose to go with the vegetarian platter that came with a little bit of every item of the veggie options. For two of us, the portion was HUGE! It was definitely lunch the next day! The food was well seasoned and came out pretty quickly. I liked eating with my hands and trying different combinations to keep my tastebuds guessing. Our waitress so nice and provided lots of input on the dishes to help us make our decisions and she checked on us plenty. Definitely a culinary adventure all right in our own back yard - enjoy your time!

So first off, kudos for actually respecting my "no utensils" request. Half the time when I call to place a takeout order from a local restaurant I forget to say "no utensils please" but the other half the time, my request is almost always ignored. But at Dahlkak they will respect your requests, so I had to give them a star just for that!As far as the local Ethiopian dining options, however, while I got good vibes from the service, the food was relatively unexceptional. A few items of note: the injera was probably thinner than any I've had, and had a more delicate flavor. The sambusas were REALLY good, a total vegetarian flavor party in a packet of fried dough. But the vegetarian combo entree was kind of a disappointment. Gomen wot is usually my favorite Ethiopian dish, but these greens were nothing to write home about. The spicy lentils of the yemisir wot were probably the best of the three options, a faint smoky flavor suggested paprika, but the shiro wot (pureed chickpeas) were completely bland. For the price the portion was also a lot less than I expected- it came with three sheets of injera, but relatively small scoops of the vegetables. I would consider coming back for a happy hour drink (if that ever becomes a thing for me again) and a sambusa, but for dinner I know to stick with my tried and true.

This place has mixed reviews but for me and a friend, it was a good hangout place. We just chatted and I had just come from a big banquet. Plus the kitchen was closed anyway and I only had water which surprised him. He shouldn't have been surprised as be knew where I'd beforehand. He had wine and said everywhere else he goes, a glass is at least $8-12. An older crowd was here. Maybe because it was a Mon night. The Eagles were playing but it wasn't packed but it was a good crowd. Apparently this is a college student joint too but on this day it wasn't. The pepperoni pizza looks decent if I am around when the kitchen is open.Added 11/17/22:Also, thank you for being open so late when most other good places closed in the general area!#ThankYouThursday

The food was good, but service left a lot to be desired. When we arrived our menus weren't ready. There were no utensils and no glasses on the table. Had to flag down the waitress a couple times. Attentiveness is key for wait staff, and I know myself and the person I came here with felt we were forgotten. There also seemed to be confusion when we asked the waitress for things, almost like she didn't quite understand why we were asking. That would be my only criticism. The waitress we had could clearly have used some further training. It seemed like she was unaccustomed to typical procedures.

"Stopped in for lunch. Service was lacking. For such a busy place they really need to schedule more than just one bartender/server.I got the Philly cheesesteak. It was dope. Man got the wings and he liked them."
