"Stopped in for lunch. Service was lacking. For such a busy place they really need to schedule more than just one bartender/server.I got the Philly cheesesteak. It was dope. Man got the wings and he liked them."
"I checked out Trademan's because I was in Center City for an event! I don't get to Center City too often these days (Apocalyptic Pandemic Reasons..Lol) so I wanted to get a place with a varied menu! The menu features BBQ items and a robust beer/draft menu!Me & my friends decided to sample a few items...cheesesteak egg rolls; smoked wings and a burger! The food was Meh ...the beer menu and service is why we gave it the extra star! Our server was fantastic! The space is wide open and I appreciate openness!Would I return..Yes..Happy Hour for sure!"

So here's what I liked about my recent Saturday night visit:-The beer list consisted of local and fairly unique beers. If you check Philly Tapfinder, a lot of the stuff is at zero to few other bars in town. Other Yelpers noted that the beer was on the expensive side, however I found it to be on par with other bars serving craft brews.-The music was great for dancing. The DJ was on his game and played songs that kept the crowd dancing.-The bartender I ordered from seemed more like a craft beer bar bartender versus a club bartender. What do I mean? He was patient as I ordered for my group in a loud atmosphere. Then when my original selection kicked, he still gave me the small amount that came out so I could still sample it.And for the dislikes:-The cover! I hate paying cover, especially in Philly. It's just silly. Especially at a place with such a good beer list.-The people working the cover table were super rude. As we walked in they called one member of my group "trouble" and said they were watching, after he did absolutely nothing to instigate trouble, let alone even blink funny. They also assumed the male would be paying and said a bunch of chauvinistic stuff about him not paying. How about you don't pre-judge and patronize your customers? So I was originally leaning towards a 3-star review because I did enjoy myself once downstairs. However while the good stuff was enjoyable, it can be found elsewhere. I don't need the craft beer and dancing combo to have a fulfilled life. First impressions stick, so they should've tried to make a good one."
"A basic deli serving cold and hot sandwiches as well as a few other basic dishes. I have always had a good meal here and the kids enjoy the food. They have a decent beer cooler. You can put together a six pack with a reasonable variety for $10.For the quality of the food with the price, I give it the 4 stars. This is not a spot we frequent, but I enjoy coming here."
"The food is great and so is the beer. Service is swift and courteous. The place is a bit noisy but that's on account of all the jollity. But when are they going to get those tables and chairs off the sidewalk. The pandemic is over. I don't want to see your dang food. I'm walking here!"
"Great food and drinks. Server was amazing. Had sangria, dirty martinis and asperol no complaints. Bacon wrapped dates are a must. Short rib pasta hit home. Definitely recommend. Just know it's about $75 a person with apps and drink."
"My boyfriend and I were visiting Philly for the weekend and stopped in for a quick lunch before going to the museums nearby. We were pretty early for lunch so the place was pretty empty, but the service was great and super attentive. We had a couple local beers on draft (so refreshing) and we each had a cup of the soup (there was a chili and a potato soup). Everything was hearty and we loved the vibe of this neighborhood bar. If we had more time, we definitely would've stayed longer!!"
"Great little place to stop and get a latte and some breakfast or lunch. Nice clean bathroom friendly service very very clean and Right on the park"
"Came here again today and got the strawberry matcha which is favorable. It was really packed with travelers and students. That being said, I appreciated how the staff communicated the realistic timelines and admitted that the kitchen was backed up. Furthermore, what looked like a business owner, he was monitoring the situation and checked in with those in line or waiting for a drink. The staff today was exceptional as they kept their cool and maintained warmth, kindness despite being super busy!"
"Definitely a good quality seafood place for southern Delco. I enjoyed the lobster tail which came in a boil with corn, potatoes, and broccoli. Excellent Cajun seasoning to all of it as well. The meat was decent. Not the best lobster I've ever had but you can't expect that in Delco. It's good enough. I really loved the corn which was sweet with a good combo of the seasoning. Tasted the wings too. They're huge and breaded while packing a decent flavor. I'm a fan now."
"This place has such good food. I never expected this brewery to have such an interesting menu. They have a ton of sandwich options, entrees that consist of fish/meat, appetizers, and desserts. Our server was so helpful in guiding our meal decision. She was so friendly and easy to chat with (I guess her day job is teaching but honestly she should go into sales). If the owner is looking at this: Get this woman a raise! The place has a bar with some stool seating. There is a small other room that has table seating. It's definitely important to get reservations since it is such a small space. I highly recommend the baked clams and green salad. The baked clams tasted delicious especially with the garlic butter. The green salad was presented so well. It looked like a square with dressing all over it. The Dijon vinaigrette was so tasty. Our entree was a broiled fish with potato's. I really liked the potato's. I liked the white sauce it was in. The fish was of good quality but it was kind of small. The desserts were amazing. I loved the ice cream more than the desserts actually. The ice cream with crème de menthe is a must try!"
"It is easy to understand the Fairmount resident compulsion to gatekeep the heck out of Bad Brother. Upon arrival around 6pm on a Friday, my friend and I were hoping to score bar seats to enjoy some post-work dinner and drinks. Both of us live in the neighborhood, had never been, and were way past-due for a visit. No dice on the bar seats since the Bad Brother happy hour is such a crowd favorite, but the awesome staff here squeezed us in at a table for 2 upstairs.Everything was top tier from service to food to easy going ambience. They seem to do it all - great cocktail list, strong wine selection, elevated and delicious "pub" food, and also...arcade games. I love a reliable spot that can be a catch all for any mood, vibe, or occasion, and Bad Brother does it with ease. I tried the kids burger, caesar salad, and fries and thoroughly enjoyed everything, with a special shout out to their house made caesar. Once we wrapped up our wine and meal, our server casually said "are we gonna get some doughnuts?" and we immediately (and correctly) responded "yes." If you take nothing else from this review, do NOT skip the doughnuts. Under no circumstance are you to skip the doughnuts. Oh, you're too full and don't want dessert? You're wrong. Oh, you don't typically like sweet treats? A) seek help and b) order the doughnuts anyways and thank me later. I want to go back and try the sausage roll and wings and soup and basically the entire menu. Make a reservation or try your hand at nabbing a bar stool, but I would head over right when they open. Peace love and doughnuts, people."

The food was good, but service left a lot to be desired. When we arrived our menus weren't ready. There were no utensils and no glasses on the table. Had to flag down the waitress a couple times. Attentiveness is key for wait staff, and I know myself and the person I came here with felt we were forgotten. There also seemed to be confusion when we asked the waitress for things, almost like she didn't quite understand why we were asking. That would be my only criticism. The waitress we had could clearly have used some further training. It seemed like she was unaccustomed to typical procedures.

Food was respectable. Website doesn't seem updated. Saw no boozy milkshakes to order. Some male staff started having patrons including myself to stand up early so that they could move the seats and the waitress we had felt bad and offered me and my friend free shots. Probably should at least have waited until 10 pm and made a general announcement over a loudspeaker first. The way the male staffers were putting away the chairs too early scared some femalePatrons and they just stood up and wanted to leave early. People there were super nice but made for an awkward transition time.

Came here unplanned on a Friday night after lent (I was able to finally drink)! The Brewdog beers were featured on the night which was a special event. The beers were good, the atmosphere was open and dimly lit. For a Friday night it wasn't crowded as I would have expected it to be but all in all it was a chill atmosphere. Once we entered we headed downstairs where all the action was. We arrived as a group of 5 and were able to enjoy our time, drink, listen to music, and have conversations. We hung out for about an hour before heading to the next destination. The best part of the night was the free stuff, Brewdog hats, koozies, and food! I still wear my hat at least once a week.Wouldn't mind swinging by for a drink or two again in the future before going somewhere else.

Philly is a city of many small neighborhoods. Mount Airy/Chestnut Hill is one of few that offer an intimate small-town charm. Nestled next to Lincoln Drive, Mount Airy Tavern is a local spot that juggles the paradox of being a dive bar and family-style restaurant.EnvironmentThis restaurant is a nice embodiment of exposed brick and gentle conversations.I've only sat inside on one occasion and the service was prompt yet inviting.FoodThis is where the restaurant truly shines. Yes,they have a handsome selection of local beers but the food outshines them all. Typically, I grab the Cajun Shrimp Pasta(only for those that can handle and appreciate spice) but if you're on the hunt for a quick snack the Parmesan Fries are also delightful.THE SAUCEWithout question, this is my favorite restaurant in the Chestnut Hill/Mount Airy area. I would recomened this place to anyone looking in need of of a restaurant for a modestly priced first date or somewhere to rest your work demons. Happy eating!

This is a great neighborhood bistro. The food and appetizers are wonderful. And so are the cocktails. If you come between four and six, you can partake in appetizers at a discounted rate and great drink specials for their happy hour. This is a place that should not be missed.

This was kind of a cool place to stop in for a beer to end the night. Situated on a corner, it is most definitely a local dive. Seems like everyone knew everyone. I can't speak for their famous roast beef as I was already full from dinner, it would definitely return just for that.

I haven't been inside yet but absolutely loved my recent lunch delivery from Talula's Daily. I went with the chicken salad on greens based on reviews, and it was delightful. Literally just a to-go container of chicken salad on greens with a dijon-based dressing, I enjoyed half of it for lunch and the other half the next day. Nothing over the top or fancy, but a great option when you're on the go or looking for a super speedy delivery option in the city.I also grabbed a cookie that I thought was good, but not amazing and not something I would probably order again. I love Washington Square and look forward to stopping in IRL very soon, along with trying their sister restaurant of course.
Visit Restaurant Page"The Philly food scene continues to humble me. It really highlights the false New York food superiority that inevitably creeps in when one lives in the city too long. I needed this chin check.I loved everything about Alice. The ambiance is like being in someone's cozy home, the glassware was the best I've seen in a long time, the service was fantastic, and the food was spectacular. The cuisine is technically American, but I had never seen a menu like this. It was completely eclectic. We opted to get the Coal Roasted Oysters, The Eggplant Naan, Kanpachi Crudo, Green Salad, the burger, and a side of fries.Everything was fantastic, with the oysters being the best I've had in a LONG time. I want to say ever, but I've had so many oysters at this point I just can't do it ahahaha. Definitely up there though. They were doused in this garlic butter that made them orgasmic. The burger was tender, with juices spilling out of the side when you squeezed it. It was beautiful and delicious...... but it is my civic duty to mention the burger did not come with fries, with a side of fries being $9. To me this is a sin, but it's the sad reality of the world we live in now. My kids probably won't expect any burger to come with fries at this point smh. However, the fries were DELICIOUS lol so I became conflicted.Alice was amazing and I love eating at restaurants like this that are continuing to innovate and just take pride in their work. You can tell they love what they do in here. It inspires me.IG @jnov_Tiktok @jnov__reviews"
"I was just passing by and hungry so I get an order to go, tried thier crab cake sliders and it was delicious! Definitely would be back again for it. Looks like a chill neighborhood bar! And they have outdoor seating as well if that's what you prefer!"
"Gotta get my lil buddy city wide (pale ale and a shot of whiskey) and smash burger. Service is always really friendly and they even have smaller 4oz pours if you're trying beers. They have a friendly cat Winnie that wanders around too."
"So this place was a bit of a let down for me. The décor was nice and the service was fast and friendly. But they were out of several appetizers and sides. No Mac and cheese bites, no tater tots, no onion rings etc. I went on a Sunday afternoon and we had reservations. The price point for the sides was also excessive for the size. I ended up getting truffle fries and it was $12 for the fries pictured. I could see if it was a basket or something but it was a very small serving for that price point. The burger was good and the price was reasonable at $15I don't think I'll be back."
"I'm not exaggerating when I say they have one of the best octopus dishes I've ever had!!! I sat at the bar and the bartender was so kind and attentive! 100% I will be back! Thank you"
"Friendly staff offering good service. Sat outside on the Piccini benches in the street. Felt a little strange when the buses would drive by and you could just reach out and touch them. Food was good. My crispy chicken sandwich that I added bacon to was very good. Nice flavor combination and the thick well done bacon just made it better. Everyone else also reported enjoying their meals. The burgers came out cooked as requested. The octopus was tasty. The fries could have been a bit more cooked. Overall a nice place to have lunch and drinks in the city."
"When it comes to ordering good food while traversing the Fishtown brewery trail, Source definitely sources some of the best options out there. And it delivers a fantastic well-rounded selection of beers in the process!I first enjoyed and saw promise for the space when it housed the short-lived Fishtown BrewPub (https://www.yelp.com/biz/fishtown-brewpub-philadelphia). But despite not making it for the long term it was a great spot for a brewery that didn't brew on-site and needed a kitchen space. And since picking it up Source made it there own right down to having an Amberella GothHeart mural as their centerpiece.Small plates include an awesome pork roll and cheddar filed pretzel, fried garlic onion pickles with spicy aioli, and party wings in an abundance of styles and spice levels. For mains, sammiches are on the menu, and my favorites are the Philly Cuban and the BBQ Mac & Beer Cheese sandwich. The beer is the main reason to go here, andthe menu is one of those that is absolutely not oversaturated with IPAs even though they have some good ones. in the past I've enjoyed a plentiful selection of pickle beers, pastry stouts, tart fruit ales, Belgian tripels, yuzu wheat beers, imperial coffee stouts, triple dry hopped ipas, maibocks, and then some! While they don't do flights, you can get those beers served in different pour sizes to really expand upon that variety."
"I was in Fishtown with my mom and husband for a dinner reservation, but we got to the neighborhood too early and needed to find a place to have a drink. We stopped in at Garage after seeing it from across the street. It had a bit of a college-y vibe to me (sticky floors, too loud to talk), but it has TVs playing sports, skee-ball, a lots of beers. It's not a place I'd return to (just not my vibe), but a decent place to kill some time before a reservation nearby."
"Redcrest Kitchen is the Cafe / Diner on 6th St. just a one block south of Philadelphia's famous South St.;In other words, it's right where all of the action is.On this rare rather warm Saturday (short sleeve shirt in Philadelphia in Mid-March-really?) we got a outdoor table for our brunch and basked in the sun.My wife shared a hotdog and Caesar salad with my sons girlfriend, my son also had a Caesar with an order of fries and I had their very good;2 scrambled eggs A wedge of excellent hash browns Two breakfast sausagesAnd some whole grain toastTo say we were all "Happy Campers" with this first rate meal combined with accomplished service would be an understatement.Along with a not too expensive bill, made this trip to the Redcrest Kitchen an outstanding experience."
"Awesome deal during happy hour! 4-6PM. $10 for a burger and ton of fries. $4 for the canned seltzers- pineapple one was really good. We added an extra $6 to make my order loaded fries. The smash burgers were delicious, crispy edges!"
"*IMPORTANT NOTE*The three-course dinner special on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for $40 per person is currently not offered. According to our server, it will not be available again until February 2024. I would recommend calling ahead and asking before you go."
"Came here for mini golf with my gf. Wanted to make a reservation for golf, but apparently you can only make a reservation for food. It's a little deceiving online as they make it seem like you can make a mini golf reservation only if you make a dinner reservation. Essentially you can just walk in for mini-golf and skip the food portion.Anyways, we kept our dinner reservation and each ordered an entree.I got the Lamb Kheema Cheesesteak ($17) to fulfill my Philly cheesesteak cravings. It's a great twist with the Indian Lamb Kheema subbing in for the filling typically found in an American cheesesteak. Smells great and tastes great, although it can get a bit messy. Came with a side of fries. My gf ordered the Tandoori Chicken Quesadilla ($15). Another unique mix for the Tex-Mex quesadilla with the South Asian Tandoori Chicken. Loved the crispiness of the tortilla, the unique tastes, and sauces that comes with it.After dinner, we got onto what we originally came here for. Mini golf in their lower level of the restaurant and is $10 per person. It was really crowded when we started around 8PM. It's 9 holes, which can go by quickly if it's just the two of you. We were doing a lot of waiting because there were a lot of group of 4 ahead of us. Feel free to replay the hole and not feel pressured by the group behind you if you find yourself waiting. If you're okay with waiting, there's darts, corn hole, and other game scattered around the courses while you wait. There's an entire broad game area if mini golf is not your thing or if you're just looking for a chill place to hang out and have a few drinks. Each hole has a cup holder for your drinks and hooks to hang your coats, bags, etc. Overall it is a fun time and would recommend."
"Garage is one of my go-to bars in South Philly! The skee ball machines, TouchTunes, and huge beer/cider/seltzer selection makes it a great place to hang out for several hours. It's also a great place to go for watching Philly sports games (but you'll need to get there early to secure a seat or it will be standing room only, especially for Eagles games!) I love that you can bring in outside food, and that they also have the food stand inside if you don't feel like venturing too far or paying delivery fees.I definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the area!"
"Idk why the average here is so low -- this is our go-to for pizza and salad (and we're picky). It's quick, delicious and offers friendly service. Solid apps too, and strong beer game. The outdoor space is fantastic and great for kids -- a huge plus. We miss the bbq chicken pizza that they offer in the winter but the fire pit salad is fantastic."
"Went here for lunch on Sunday- absolutely amazing experience! The service was amazing and the food was delicious. We had a little bit of everything. We tried the wings, the sandwiches and thr duck wonton and everything was absolutely delicious. The inside is super nice and clean. I definitely recommend!"
"Working in the area provided me the opportunity to dine at Lucky's Last Chance. Parking can be a bit challenging but circle the block a few times and you'll get a spot. Lucky's offered a nice amount of outdoor seating if that's your preference. Inside Lucky's offered a large bar with seating on two sides, a couple of window seats, some high tops, and booth seats. The venue is pretty big. Lucky's also offered two clean restrooms. The vintage pieces throughout the bar were cool and I loved the 80's music they were playing. Okay let's get to it! I ordered the My Boy Bleu burger. Featuring fresh crumbled Bleu cheese, homemade onion strings, and locally grown farm fresh diced tomatoes. I went with the double patty option. This was the best burger I've had this year! The beef procured from Carl Venezia Meats was handled with care by the chef at Lucky's. The burger was juicy and delicious. The toasted and buttered bun from Liscio's Bakey perfect. The Bleu cheese complimented the beef nicely. My side of crinkle cut fries were nice and crispy, and they had just the right amount of salt. I can't wait to bring the missus down and try some more of the menu. Shoutout to Tom and Heather and the rest of the staff who were friendly and on their game."
"I had my first experience at Winnie's over the weekend and while I think the 3.5 star overall rating is pretty accurate, I needed to bump up to a 4 star thanks to the incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. Every person we encountered was so kind and welcoming, which goes a long way for me - especially when I have a dog in tow. That's the other amazing part of Winnie's: they go beyond dog friendliness on their patio and even took a photo of Miss. Fred for the dog wall! Winnie's is an amazing vibe for post-hike outdoor lunch or brunch. We were sitting outside on a relatively cool day and had no issue snagging a table at 10am on a Saturday. That being said, my veggie frittata and my boyfriend's lox plate were not great. The lox plate only comes with one bagel option (pumpernickel) and the veggie frittata is just unremarkable. I think I want to try more of their *delectable* options when I return in the future, like eggs benny and the sandwiches - both of which look really good.My coffee? Fantastic and not your standard diner fare. The complimentary cornbread? Sweet, cakey, and just how I like it. Vibes? So good. I look forward to my next trip to Winnie's and appreciate this amazing team for making our weekend morning out with a dog such a success!"
"Cool new sports bar in the city - ground level is a nice sit down and eat space with a bar and huge screens everywhere, downstairs is more of a lounge/club/dance floor space with a bar as well. The staff, drinks from the cocktail menu, food and vibe were 10/10. I loveddd the chicken and potato samosas, chicken sandwiches, wings, and the fries are the perfect amount of crispy to moist ratio.I'll definitely be coming back oh here with friends!"
"After reflecting on my experiences here the last year or so, I've adjusted my rating of Bardot from 3 to 5. Bardot is a delightful, no-frills bar that exceeds expectations with its immaculate interior and exceptionally friendly staff. It stands out as one of the most polished (dive?) bars I've visited. A dive by some standards, there's a level of sophistication here. It's clean, water is freely available, and TouchTunes is typically on point. The food is good, although I wouldn't necessarily opt for takeout. Their beers are reasonably priced. The bar consistently offers a fun vibe and a secure environment. I might not rave about the food, but I definitely recommend stopping by for some affordable beer, straightforward cocktails, and a great atmosphere."
"I first went to Locust Rendezvous around 20 years ago. My memory of it was as a mediocre dive bar. My recent visits to "The Vous" have shown me that it is much more than that now. It's a great bar that you can count on for good drinks, fast service, and consistently good food. It doesn't matter how packed the place is. You can count on those three things. With TVs from wall to wall, any sporting event you want to watch will be on one of the TVs. My go-to food has become the turkey reuben. It's a delicious top-tier sandwich in a city full of great sandwiches. My go-to drink is the pomegranate mule, a great take on the moscow mule. I've tried a handful of items from the menu at this point, and everything is good. You can't beat the prices there either. "The Vous" has earned a regular spot in my bar rotation."
"This place is my favorite reward after an early morning row! Their breakfast sandwiches are delicious- piled high with egg, cheese, and meat. And they are one of the few places these days that never run out of gluten free bread.Smoothies are very good as well. As is the coffee!"
"Green Room is the kind of neighborhood bar that makes me wish I lived in Fairmount. The food has no business being that good, the drinks are cheap, and there are endless options.I've been to Green Room a handful of times now, ranging from before, during, and in the whatever we are calling these not quite "post" covid times. What I love about Green Room is that the most casual Saturday afternoon or Friday night can turn into the most unexpectedly fun time. I feel like every time I visit it's for a casual night with friends, but it never ends that way. This past Friday, friends and I wanted to have a very low key early Friday evening and then a few rounds of Green Tea Shots later... well you get the idea. We got to Green Room around 8 PM and it was packed because it was the nicest Friday weather-wise in a long time and that means people want to drink outside. We grabbed a table inside and ordered drinks from the bar.I'm always hesitant to get an elaborate cocktail at a neighborhood bar, but I am obsessed with the Watermelon Margarita. Yes, I did make it a double. My friends got draft beer and ciders - they have the Downeast Blackberry and they also have Guinness. There is truly something for everyone here. After about an hour we decided some food would be required. We got the Chicken Tenders and the Chesapeake Fries. The tenders are unreasonably good, such a generous portion, so many sauces. YUM! When we were deciding what to get, we thought about the Chesapeake fries and thought it might not be the right place to order something with crab... how wrong of us to judge. The fries were perfection and no one got sick.It is always a great time at Green Room! They have touchtunes, a pool table, and an ATM because it is cash only. The bathrooms are downstairs and are usually clean enough. Plenty of seating both inside and outside."
"nice view and calm atmosphere!the bagel place closes early that shares the space with HR."
