I don't get to Center City too often these days (Apocalyptic Pandemic Reasons..Lol) so I wanted to get a place with a varied menu!The menu features BBQ items and a robust beer/draft menu!Me & my friends decided to sample a few items...cheesesteak egg rolls; smoked wings and a burger!The food was Meh ...the beer menu and service is why we gave it the extra star! "My boyfriend and I were visiting Philly for the weekend and stopped in for a quick lunch before going to the museums nearby. We were pretty early for lunch so the place was pretty empty, but the service was great and super attentive. We had a couple local beers on draft (so refreshing) and we each had a cup of the soup (there was a chili and a potato soup). Everything was hearty and we loved the vibe of this neighborhood bar. If we had more time, we definitely would've stayed longer!!"

That being said, I appreciated how the staff communicated the realistic timelines and admitted that the kitchen was backed up. Furthermore, what looked like a business owner, he was monitoring the situation and checked in with those in line or waiting for a drink. The staff today was exceptional as they kept their cool and maintained warmth, kindness despite being super busy!"

"This place has such good food. I never expected this brewery to have such an interesting menu. They have a ton of sandwich options, entrees that consist of fish/meat, appetizers, and desserts. Our server was so helpful in guiding our meal decision. She was so friendly and easy to chat with (I guess her day job is teaching but honestly she should go into sales). If the owner is looking at this: Get this woman a raise! The place has a bar with some stool seating. There is a small other room that has table seating. It's definitely important to get reservations since it is such a small space. I highly recommend the baked clams and green salad. The baked clams tasted delicious especially with the garlic butter. The green salad was presented so well. It looked like a square with dressing all over it. The Dijon vinaigrette was so tasty.Our entree was a broiled fish with potato's. I really liked the potato's. I liked the white sauce it was in. The fish was of good quality but it was kind of small. The desserts were amazing. I loved the ice cream more than the desserts actually. The ice cream with crème de menthe is a must try!"

"It is easy to understand the Fairmount resident compulsion to gatekeep the heck out of Bad Brother. Upon arrival around 6pm on a Friday, my friend and I were hoping to score bar seats to enjoy some post-work dinner and drinks. Both of us live in the neighborhood, had never been, and were way past-due for a visit. No dice on the bar seats since the Bad Brother happy hour is such a crowd favorite, but the awesome staff here squeezed us in at a table for 2 upstairs.Everything was top tier from service to food to easy going ambience. They seem to do it all - great cocktail list, strong wine selection, elevated and delicious "pub" food, and also...arcade games. I love a reliable spot that can be a catch all for any mood, vibe, or occasion, and Bad Brother does it with ease. I tried the kids burger, caesar salad, and fries and thoroughly enjoyed everything, with a special shout out to their house made caesar. Once we wrapped up our wine and meal, our server casually said "are we gonna get some doughnuts?" and we immediately (and correctly) responded "yes." If you take nothing else from this review, do NOT skip the doughnuts. Under no circumstance are you to skip the doughnuts. Oh, you're too full and don't want dessert? You're wrong. Oh, you don't typically like sweet treats? A) seek help and b) order the doughnuts anyways and thank me later. I want to go back and try the sausage roll and wings and soup and basically the entire menu. Make a reservation or try your hand at nabbing a bar stool, but I would head over right when they open. Peace love and doughnuts, people."

"The Philly food scene continues to humble me. It really highlights the false New York food superiority that inevitably creeps in when one lives in the city too long. I needed this chin check.I loved everything about Alice. The ambiance is like being in someone's cozy home, the glassware was the best I've seen in a long time, the service was fantastic, and the food was spectacular.The cuisine is technically American, but I had never seen a menu like this. It was completely eclectic.We opted to get the Coal Roasted Oysters, The Eggplant Naan, Kanpachi Crudo, Green Salad, the burger, and a side of fries.Everything was fantastic, with the oysters being the best I've had in a LONG time. I want to say ever, but I've had so many oysters at this point I just can't do it ahahaha. Definitely up there though. They were doused in this garlic butter that made them orgasmic.The burger was tender, with juices spilling out of the side when you squeezed it. It was beautiful and delicious...... but it is my civic duty to mention the burger did not come with fries, with a side of fries being $9. To me this is a sin, but it's the sad reality of the world we live in now. My kids probably won't expect any burger to come with fries at this point smh. However, the fries were DELICIOUS lol so I became conflicted.Alice was amazing and I love eating at restaurants like this that are continuing to innovate and just take pride in their work. No Mac and cheese bites, no tater tots, no onion rings etc. I went on a Sunday afternoon and we had reservations. The price point for the sides was also excessive for the size. I ended up getting truffle fries and it was $12 for the fries pictured. I could see if it was a basket or something but it was a very small serving for that price point. The burger was good and the price was reasonable at $15I don't think I'll be back."

"When it comes to ordering good food while traversing the Fishtown brewery trail, Source definitely sources some of the best options out there. And it delivers a fantastic well-rounded selection of beers in the process!I first enjoyed and saw promise for the space when it housed the short-lived Fishtown BrewPub (https://www.yelp.com/biz/fishtown-brewpub-philadelphia). But despite not making it for the long term it was a great spot for a brewery that didn't brew on-site and needed a kitchen space. And since picking it up Source made it there own right down to having an Amberella GothHeart mural as their centerpiece.Small plates include an awesome pork roll and cheddar filed pretzel, fried garlic onion pickles with spicy aioli, and party wings in an abundance of styles and spice levels. For mains, sammiches are on the menu, and my favorites are the Philly Cuban and the BBQ Mac & Beer Cheese sandwich.The beer is the main reason to go here, andthe menu is one of those that is absolutely not oversaturated with IPAs even though they have some good ones. in the past I've enjoyed a plentiful selection of pickle beers, pastry stouts, tart fruit ales, Belgian tripels, yuzu wheat beers, imperial coffee stouts, triple dry hopped ipas, maibocks, and then some! While they don't do flights, you can get those beers served in different pour sizes to really expand upon that variety."

It's also a great place to go for watching Philly sports games (but you'll need to get there early to secure a seat or it will be standing room only, especially for Eagles games!) I love that you can bring in outside food, and that they also have the food stand inside if you don't feel like venturing too far or paying delivery fees.I definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the area!"

"Working in the area provided me the opportunity to dine at Lucky's Last Chance. Parking can be a bit challenging but circle the block a few times and you'll get a spot. Lucky's offered a nice amount of outdoor seating if that's your preference. Inside Lucky's offered a large bar with seating on two sides, a couple of window seats, some high tops, and booth seats. The venue is pretty big. Lucky's also offered two clean restrooms. The vintage pieces throughout the bar were cool and I loved the 80's music they were playing. Okay let's get to it! I ordered the My Boy Bleu burger. Featuring fresh crumbled Bleu cheese, homemade onion strings, and locally grown farm fresh diced tomatoes. I went with the double patty option. This was the best burger I've had this year! The beef procured from Carl Venezia Meats was handled with care by the chef at Lucky's. The burger was juicy and delicious. The toasted and buttered bun from Liscio's Bakey perfect. The Bleu cheese complimented the beef nicely. My side of crinkle cut fries were nice and crispy, and they had just the right amount of salt. I can't wait to bring the missus down and try some more of the menu. Shoutout to Tom and Heather and the rest of the staff who were friendly and on their game."

"I had my first experience at Winnie's over the weekend and while I think the 3.5 star overall rating is pretty accurate, I needed to bump up to a 4 star thanks to the incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. Every person we encountered was so kind and welcoming, which goes a long way for me - especially when I have a dog in tow. That's the other amazing part of Winnie's: they go beyond dog friendliness on their patio and even took a photo of Miss. Fred for the dog wall! Winnie's is an amazing vibe for post-hike outdoor lunch or brunch. We were sitting outside on a relatively cool day and had no issue snagging a table at 10am on a Saturday.That being said, my veggie frittata and my boyfriend's lox plate were not great. The lox plate only comes with one bagel option (pumpernickel) and the veggie frittata is just unremarkable. I think I want to try more of their *delectable* options when I return in the future, like eggs benny and the sandwiches - both of which look really good.My coffee? Fantastic and not your standard diner fare. The complimentary cornbread? Sweet, cakey, and just how I like it. Vibes? So good. I look forward to my next trip to Winnie's and appreciate this amazing team for making our weekend morning out with a dog such a success!"

Bardot is a delightful, no-frills bar that exceeds expectations with its immaculate interior and exceptionally friendly staff. It stands out as one of the most polished (dive?) bars I've visited. A dive by some standards, there's a level of sophistication here. It's clean, water is freely available, and TouchTunes is typically on point. The food is good, although I wouldn't necessarily opt for takeout. Their beers are reasonably priced. The bar consistently offers a fun vibe and a secure environment. I might not rave about the food, but I definitely recommend stopping by for some affordable beer, straightforward cocktails, and a great atmosphere."

"I first went to Locust Rendezvous around 20 years ago. My memory of it was as a mediocre dive bar. My recent visits to "The Vous" have shown me that it is much more than that now. It's a great bar that you can count on for good drinks, fast service, and consistently good food. It doesn't matter how packed the place is. You can count on those three things. With TVs from wall to wall, any sporting event you want to watch will be on one of the TVs. My go-to food has become the turkey reuben. It's a delicious top-tier sandwich in a city full of great sandwiches. My go-to drink is the pomegranate mule, a great take on the moscow mule. I've tried a handful of items from the menu at this point, and everything is good. You can't beat the prices there either. "The Vous" has earned a regular spot in my bar rotation."
