We dined at the Wayne location. We had intended to have brunch at White Dog Cafe Sunday 9.17.23 to celebrate a special occasion after visiting Chanticleer Gardens. I was concerned about that choice reading some of these reviews. However, we had a fantastic brunch. Service was well paced and attentive via our server Caroline. Ambiance was cozy. In fact, they have food specials for shows that go on. The bar is a cool half circle space with a robust menu. We ended up with a Cab sav and Pinot Grigio which were pretty tasty. The service was quick and the bartender didn't kick us out even though we stayed past closing."

Ren N. "Great place to order Mexican type food to go or enjoy with your friends outside on the sidewalks. Place is clean, though in the summer time the mosquitoes tend to linger by the seating areas, hard to fly out of those plastic dividers once they're in, I got bitten several times and there is nothing I can do to get away, I had to end my dinner early to take home and finish eating. The food is amazing. I give it 4 stars overall for taste and quality as well as quantity. The mussels were very flavorful. Unfortunately I'm not the biggest Mexican southwest fan, so I can't judge the taste of their food compared to other establishments of the same type. They have a window where you can order and pick up to go. Besides having a clean establishment with some solid list of food choices, I also think it's important for the business itself to have some form of ethic. I found my car one closing night when they pushed their heavy trash filled bin right in front of my driver side door. Luckily I'm able to slide myself in, otherwise I would have to climb in through the passenger side. Obviously the message I'm getting here is: don't park here. I understand that it's a business, but it's also in a residential neighborhood. Due to covid they are already taking up space from their outdoor seating, like other restaurants out there. If you're going to use space, at least be mindful of the situation: it's hard to find parking in this neighborhood. People gotta get home. There is so much corner space on the block to put the trash. Or against the wall/back door. Why would you thrust it up someone's car door?"

The cocktail offerings are $10 and the beers/wines have a discount of $1-3 dollars off regular price! The food offerings are light fare: bruschetta; flatbread; sliders; fries and lamb lollipops. Those prices ranged from: $7-18 dollars! The lamb was cooked with basil pesto...delightful taste! The bruschetta was fresh and enjoyed the sauce that was drizzled on top! My friend ordered off the dinner menu and had the Linguini and it was ok..The service was adequate and I experienced what many commented on in their reviews...the noise and chatter isn't from the patrons it mainly comes from the service staff having ongoing conversations amongst themselves! They are distracted by their personal conversations and become neglectful of the guests they are servicing! The costs are a bit pricey for average Italian food but I know the neighborhood so I guess it works out!"

Let's first take note that last year one of my favorite seafood places in Germantown got shut down for their health code violations which just shocked me after I read it. I couldn't believe I ate there. So I of course checked the health code for soulfed and there were ZERO violations. I came by myself, one Sunday after church. The music was playing and there were a ton of young servers but were eager to help. Since I was alone, I sat at the bar in the back and ordered my food. My favorite is the tang special: fried fish & shrimp with over fries and crab meat with a special sauce. They have specialty drinks but there's no prices on the drink menu so FYI they may fluctuate.Anyway, my servers name was "moo", a young kid but pretty cool. He was professional and worked fast. The main reason I'm writing this is to annotate how calm and professional he was with a nasty customer. Her and her boyfriend (50 year olds at least) came to the bar. The female walked up with an attitude and just started "barking" orders at him and when he made the drink she ASKED FOR, she got even ruder calling it nasty amongst other things. I just kept looking at her like wow. And "moo" kept his cool the whole time until she left. I gave him credit, he didn't let her piss him off or change his professionalism."

If you didn't know, this restaurant is attached to a really stylish boutique hotel. It doesn't have its own bathroom. Instead, you have to go to the second floor of the hotel for the restroom which is accessible via elevator or stairs. The host at Square 1682 was extremely friendly as was our waiter. Our party maybe waited 10 mins to sit. I ordered the Wings and Waffles with a side of eggs and Turkey bacon. Those wings?? So good. Crispy and moist with a nice little zing and spice but not overwhelming. You only get 4 wings, but there should be more! And those waffles. Amazing!! They have little sugar crystals inside so each bite is crispy, but soft, warm, and deliciously Sweet. I didn't need to douse it with syrup. I as able to just dip eat bite and have enough flavor and sweetness. Im not from the area but when I return for a visit, ill definitely be coming back for brunch."

We made it just in time leaving out jobs early to make it to the 4-6 happy hour that offers $5 drafts and $8 margarita made fresh on point! The atmosphere was inviting with a rustic charm and colorful decor. Especially the most beautiful bar in the city. See photosUpon arriving, we were promptly greeted by Perez, who was friendly and accommodating. He asked for our preference of an assortment of FRESH margarita flavors, and Zack chose mango while I chose classic. We were enamored by how authentic and delicious the drinks were, as always. The tequila was smooth and well-balanced with the other ingredients, making for a refreshing and satisfying beverage. For starters, we ordered the ceviche which was fresh and flavorful, and it was inhaled by the two of us in no time. For our main course, we ordered the suadero tacos, which had a perfect combination of textures and flavors, while Zack ordered steak/chorizo tacos, which were juicy and full of flavor. After happy hour was over, we decided to explore the drink menu and were imbibed by mojitos and mezcal margs. The mojito was made with fresh mint and lime, and the mezcal margarita had a smoky and complex flavor that was perfectly balanced with the other ingredients.Overall, I highly recommend Frida Cantina. The quality of the food and drink is top-notch, and the service is exceptional. We spent $20 plus an Uber ride because we knew Frida does not f around on their quality of food and drink. This happy hour went down in history as a must-visit for anyone who loves authentic and delicious Mexican cuisine and drinks.Note happy hour is 4-6 Monday -Friday Uber/Lyft highly recommendedGreat for date night Authentic Margs made with all fresh ingredients like agave."

We were very surprised to see that despite the small facade, the bar was very large and had plenty of seating including covered outdoor sidewalk seating. The interior is very warm and definitely has a dive bar feel while not having the "locals only" feel like some other dive bars seem to put off. They have a large selection of beer, liquor, and even fruit soaked vodka/tequila jars, which was wonderful because my fiancé a little picky when it comes to choosing a drink. The service was fast and friendly which is always a plus!I wish I could speak on the food, but seeing as we were about to go to a dinner we stuck to just drinks. Needless to say, just the smell/look of the food that people around us ordered impressed us and we knew we would be back another day to try it out. After the dinner we decided to hang around the area a bit longer and invited our party back to New Wave. The owner greeted us and told us about some of the bar history, including a fun fact that he was on Jeopardy at one point! Food spans a cross between gastro pub and dive bar (read: soups, chili, wings, steak tip sandwiches; quesadilla, nachos, and a variety of sandwiches.) Prices are reasonable and sandwiches come with fries or salad. The beer list is pretty long for a neighborhood watering hole. I snagged a pint of a great black lager, and also tried the Fiddlehead white which was nice too. There were about eight brews on draft and double that number in cans and bottles, plus ciders. Sitting under a tree trapped up in fairy lights on the outdoor patio was quite nice. Indoors is dark wood and a long bar and TV screens. Good place for sports fans or biergarten lunchers. Nothing was horrible ... and nothing was delightful either. I could easily order the Classic French Onion Soup ($8) with 3-cheese Gratin or the board with French Brie and Prosciutto ($14) plus Dried Fruit, Candied Nuts, and Stoneground Mustard again ... or not ... either way, really.Because the service was sooooo slow, I quickly learned to double-up on orders with Makers Mark Old Fashioneds, Bombay Sapphire Gin Mules, and bottles of Dogfish Head 60-minute IPAs satisfying me while my mates opted for Cranberry and Vodka cocktails or classic Tanquery Gin and Tonics.I don't hate Amuse and you really shouldn't either ... as long as your already at the Le Meridien Hotel.
