"We recently held a 2-year-old birthday party at the Wyndmoor Firehouse down the street from this location. We live across the country so we had never had the food before. We heard from a few different people that it was consistently good. We decided we would give it a shot for our 40 guests. The party was at 3:00 p.m. so we were not looking for lunch or dinner, but instead some easy finger foods. The recommendation was tacos and hoagie slices. We ordered both, and added churros to the order as an additional finger food dessert. We heard from many guests that they really enjoyed all of the food, and the quantity provided by Tony's Pizza City was enough that we were able to leave plenty of leftovers for the local police and first responders. The pricing for all of the different food options we were presented was more than reasonable. We would highly recommend discussing catering options with Luciano if you have a need."
"We ordered a large plain pie for pickup on Friday night, with a side order of garlic sticks. They were fast (ready within 20 minutes) and the price was right ($11 for large pie). It's a small local shop that provides good taste. The pizza had good flavor, and the crust was thick and chewy, not burned. I like thick crust (instead of thin). The garlic sticks weren't too garlicky, and we usually prefer something stronger taste and more melt in your mouth homemade."

Look no further than Butcher and Singer, arguably one of the most beautiful restaurants in the city from a structural and architectural standpoint, there's a reason it's been on just about every "best of" list. I had my first experience over the weekend for a special night out with one of my girlfriends, and was really impressed from start to finish.I screwed up and forgot to book a reservation, but we decided to just show up and try our luck at the bar. This worked in our favor as we got to enjoy the full Butcher and Singer experience from a table in their cocktail lounge space, which is full service and was actually completely open when we walked in on a Friday night at 6:56pm. These unreserved tables filled in quite quickly, and the only hiccup of the night was trying to get a server over to us after we grabbed our seats. I went back up to the host stand after we waited for about 10 minutes, then after that point we waited awhile longer for someone to come over with a menu. Not enough to dock a star, but I found it surprising for a place that should seemingly have very clear and polished FOH systems in place. After this though: pure perfection. We each ordered a French 75 from our server Ricky who was a complete rockstar all night long. He gave great suggestions and was super attentive for our whole meal. We then put in our order (we were splitting everything) which one could essentially title "The basic bitch's guide to ordering dinner at a steakhouse"+ Caesar salad+ NY strip steak+ Creamed spinach+ Mashed potatoes+ Glasses of Côtes du Rhône and ChiantiEverything really was perfectly executed, presented, and priced for the quality. You are not going to have a cheap night but you will leave FULL, tipsy, and happy. This amount of food was too much for two people, but I regret nothing and wish I could have tried one of their many tasty desserts. I will absolutely be back, even just to the bar before a night out to take in the gorgeous space and feel transported away from 15th street for a brief moment. Thank you B&S for the wonderful evening and hospitality!"
"GOOD for a quick bite during lunch break and looks like it would be a dope spot to watch the Sixers lose in 7. Aka: Good spot to watch a sporting event with a log of brew on tap and great cocktail choices. Their wraps are what they're known for...duh. But looks like all around good food. What we snagged: -A few DownEast Ciders (Always great option to keep it sweet and ready to tackle the next half of the day) -Sweet Potato Tots (HIGHLY recommend) -Scott Louis Wrap (Eh, it was good BUT very heavy. Wasn't crazy about the amount of sauce. Drowned out the chicken and onions) -Sherri Special Wrap (Looked great. Light and a healthier option) Overall, good experience. Would 100% for back when I'm in the area for a quick bite or to catch a game."
"We stopped in before dinner for a great $5 happy hour and came back for dessert and some great music by a live duo! Drinks were very affordable after happy hour drinks. we had some spiked apple cider, and I had a berch beer with a vodka special drink... Very nice, followed by dessert and a dulce de Leche latte.Service was terrific!"
"Our server was friendly and efficient and checked on us just the right amount. The restaurant is a cozy converted house which is tastefully decorated. The bathroom is adorable. I had the Greek omelette and while very tasty was a bit runny for my liking. I upgraded to a small side salad rather than toast. It was fresh and delicious. I would definitely go back and if I ordered another omelette, I would just request it be cooked a little bit more. Definitely worth a visit!!"
"really fun place for drinks and billiards (duh). we didn't play but there were tons of tables. some cool cocktail selections along with nice beer selections. great music playing, fantastic waitstaff. can't wait to come back and play pool!"
"Had an awesome breakfast, friendly staff, French toast - the crunchy kind was excellent and so was everything else! Will be sure to return, so nice there is a great breakfast place around- my compliments to the whole staff & owner!!"
"Wings get them four stars! My fave are the mango habanero wings. Delish. Also like the regular and garlic Parmesan. I order just for the wings."
"I wanted to keep this place a secret because of how great of an experience I had here. I came here on a Tuesday and it was quiet. Angel, our server, was extremely kind and attentive. The couple of appetizers we had were fantastic. I can't wait to return and try more of their food. The drinks were great too! Angel so awesome, we closed the bar down with her! Glad I found this place so close to home."
"Stopped in for lunch. Service was lacking. For such a busy place they really need to schedule more than just one bartender/server.I got the Philly cheesesteak. It was dope. Man got the wings and he liked them."
"Polite and quick staff, the pizza is delicious. Good choice of beverages too! I love doing laundry (next door) because of that place! #burp"

Finally tried this place for Friday night pizza and it was so great! We got a Sicilian and the brisket sandwich, a salad, and mozzarella sticks and all were great! Portions were helpful to have leftovers all weekend and we appreciated that everything was ready right on time! Couldn't ask for more!

Great food at a good price. Fresco has become my go to pizza shop when ordering lunch at work. Their gyros are really good and their quesadillas are quite filling, unlike what you'll get at most places. Plus they have some decent daily specials that help if your a little light in the wallet.

Walking in here and you're immediately greeted with a wonderful dark and cozy ambiance reminiscent of the early half of the 20th century. Decor and music all match the theme, and the mural of dogs overlook all diners. The wine and spirit menu is very extensive, and the cocktails are premium. The sidecar was actually 10/10 blended and tasted exactly as it should. The biscuits served to start come with delicious honey butter and are quite tasty, warm, and flaky. Steak was cooked beautifully and was a high end chop. The blue cheese melted on top added great savory flavor to complement the steak. The sides were great as well. Nicely cooked sprouts and very buttery, creamy mashed potatoes. Do recommend the baked Alaska though it is very sugary! Quite an uncommon dessert and they do it well. Nice end to the meal. Overall a very tasty and memorable dinner. Thanks

Wrap Shack just delivers time and time again. We've been there for multiple dinners now, and also gotten takeout, and have never been disappointed. Wraps are good, sandwiches are good, appetizers are good, everything. Honestly nothing earth-shattering but just rock solid bar food every time!

My husband and I got here on a Sunday morning for brunch and it was quite busy. We were seated and the waitress came over right away. My husband ordered spicy Bloody Mary but at the end we received the bill we were charged extra $1for having it spicy. It would be nice if it was informed to us before. I ordered omelette with salad. It was a healthy choice because the salad portion wasn't small . I could taste the butter in the omelette. My husband ordered an egg Benedict and it was nicely seasoned.

I ended up in Malvern and was very happy to see Julie Anne's Place's 4.7 google maps rating. I haven't had the best luck in Malvern but things may be starting to change. 1st, $5.43 for a scrapple, egg and cheese on toast. You know I love that. And, that is after an 18 cent non cash surcharge. Very cheesy. Everyone was very happy. Cool bathroom. Video of bathroom in full video. Now if I can get Dave Bramwell to return my calls life would be good.

So I've been hanging around this place for over a decade. I know a bunch of people that work here and one of my besties has worked here for years. I've probably been here more times than any other bar in the city. So why am I just now writing a review? Because in my opinion the reopening has pushed it to a 5 star bar. Before COVID I was a bar rat here simply because I knew everyone. The crowd was unsavory but the chaos out front every night was appealing. There was always a fight outside or someone that needed to be put out the door. A lot of arrogant white dudes with caps on forward when they came in and backwards when they were leaving. It was an old city sports bar. The food was great the service was ok and I probably couldn't have done more than 3 stars. So I just couldn't review it. I didn't want to write a review that would hurt stop my friends from making money. Now let's talk the reopening. The playlist is solid. It's not a bunch of white bros on a Saturday night. The staff is the best team I've seen there in years. Super attentive even though they were clearly outnumbered. Just awesome to chat with. Everyone was super friendly. The crowd took a drastic change for the better. You're average douchebag fratty sports fan has been replaced by what appears to be art students and fashion experts. It's the first time I've ever felt under dressed in there. To top it all off people apologize when they bump into you! Kindness has taken over! I think it's a younger crowd than it used to be. However I'm also older than I used to be. So that tidbit may just be a personal perspective thing. The food is now outsourced. It's not a full bar menu anymore. You get pizza or wings and the servers walk down the street and get it. This description might not sound appealing but seriously it works. Last night for example the bar is packed and we got two pizzas. One pepperoni(which has a tinge of a sweet heat sauce) and one regular, 20 minutes we had it. It was still too hot for me. I burned the roof of my mouth. The pepperoni was really awesome too. The wait list for the pool table still takes a while because you've got the "pros" that show up. Like the guy last night that had to have had the table for hours. He put on pool gloves and brought his own stick. He tried so hard to impress the chick he was playing with. At the end of the night she disappeared he was walking around the bar looking for her. Anyway, even if you've been here before try it again. Also you aren't getting in without a Vaxx card or a photo of it. So don't be an asshole and argue with the door guy. Don't be a jerk off and photoshop your shit. Stay home. The rest of us just started to feel comfortable going out again. Don't ruin this for us America.

I wonder where he actually went? While the place isn't going to win a Michelin star for comestibles, they serve appetizers as well as entrees. Many is the afternoon or evening where I have come and enjoyed good, basic food as well as well crafted drinks, served with panache and good humor. The burger is respectable and filling. If pierogies are ever on the menu, go for them as well. Here's the menu, Timothy W., should you ever deign to return to this allegedly foodless business. "I will go over the items that I ordered and eaten, then we will discuss customer service. For a soul food restaurant this comes closest to 'some' home cooking that serves soul food. What I find often and am very disturbed by is not just Visions but many soul food places do not served 'BAKED' macaroni and cheese. I was served homemade but cooked on a stove top 'mac n cheese', it was okay but not what I am looking for. You will find 'BAKED' macaroni and cheese three stores down at Coconut Breeze. But back to Visions! Their fried chicken is crispy and well seasoned, I don't particularly like the taste of salt so it was a little much for me but not for most people. Their mashed or whipped sweet potato(yams) are pretty good as well as the cabbage, string beans and meatloaf. They use to make a very good chicken cheesesteak with real chicken breast but I don't think it is on the menu. The collard greens are some of the worst I've ever eaten. People you 'cut the bitterness with a pinch of sugar' not a CUP OF SUGAR. Time and time again these greens taste like sugar greens not collard greens. Now lets discuss service. Yikes it is the worst!!! It doesn't matter if you call in your order or place it in person, go get a pedicure and come back. THEY ARE SLOW!!!! How are you that slow when ALL of the sides are precooked and so are most of the meat and poultry products. Oh you better not say anything you are met with a blank stare and a 'well we are busy'. Guess what 'SO AM I'. Too busy to try this again."
"Excellent food. Great service. Clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly. Five stars."
"So good that we came back a second time...in the same day! My fiancé and I were meeting some friends for dinner nearby and decided to stop in New Wave and grab a few beers before heading to the restaurant. We were very surprised to see that despite the small facade, the bar was very large and had plenty of seating including covered outdoor sidewalk seating. The interior is very warm and definitely has a dive bar feel while not having the "locals only" feel like some other dive bars seem to put off. They have a large selection of beer, liquor, and even fruit soaked vodka/tequila jars, which was wonderful because my fiancé a little picky when it comes to choosing a drink. The service was fast and friendly which is always a plus!I wish I could speak on the food, but seeing as we were about to go to a dinner we stuck to just drinks. Needless to say, just the smell/look of the food that people around us ordered impressed us and we knew we would be back another day to try it out. After the dinner we decided to hang around the area a bit longer and invited our party back to New Wave. The owner greeted us and told us about some of the bar history, including a fun fact that he was on Jeopardy at one point! Suffice to say, I will be back the next time I'm in the area to try some of the food from their unique (for a dive bar) menu."
"One of the things that I like the most about Giovanni's is that it very much feels like an old time, community diner. It is not pretentious, it doesn't set out to create culinary works of art. Instead, it provides a variety of approachable and tasty Italian favorites, with a ridiculously large menu that can satisfy everyone in your group, at a fair price that doesn't break the bank. Whether you're in the mood for pizza, pasta, or an offering of shared appetizers, the food is very well priced, enjoyable, and served in very large portions. In fact, you may want to consider splitting some dishes if you are in a smaller group or not quite as hungry. For example, a personal size pizza can easily be split between two adults. The appetizers are good enough, and hearty enough, to serve as the main entrée. I love seeing Fried Zucchini on the menu. I feel like fewer and fewer places offer this one-time staple. The pizza is nice and cheesy, with a soft (but not soggy) crust. The shrimp fra diavolo is the perfect amount of spicy, with perfectly cooked shrimp. The kids offerings, including pizza slices are very generous. The appetizers are some good ol, fried comfort food. We came away stuffed and had a whole second meal of leftovers the next day. The staff is incredibly friendly, very engaging and attentive to all customers. It's really nice to go into a place and feel like the staff really wants to provide an amazing experience for customers. The atmosphere of the restaurant has a diner type vibe, it's very lively, and very welcoming in addition to being warm and inviting. You instantly feel at ease and that you're already a repeat customer. Again, it's the little things that set a dining experience apart. The owner of Giovanni's is also very community minded and supportive of local families. It's always a pleasure to come out and to support him and his team. They do right by their community. We love this place and can't wait to go back."
"YUM! Stumbled into the Tasty Toast and I am so glad that I did. I got the Rainbow Mermaid which was a peach, strawberry mango juice (I think I'm missing another ingredient) but it was so delicious! It was sweet, refreshing and they put banana and strawberries slices in it! So good. Also, not pictured... my sandwich that I devoured. So, I got the bacon melt and it was also amazing. Eggs, bacon, creamy melted cheese. You can't go wrong. The service wad friendly, but just a little on the slower side (they had a ton of online orders). Would highly recommend this spot, just order ahead!"
"A solid breakfast/ brunch spot on the mainline. Service is prompt and the employees are punctual. American"
"After a gruelling CrossFit workout, this was just what the doctor ordered. Was looking for a nice diner for a good Sunday brunch and Nudys was just that.My wife had the banana walnut pancake (I'm on a sugar break) and I had the California Benedict with french fries vs home fries. The pancake had the right amount of sweetness, right amount of fluffiness and a right amount of banana and walnut amalgamation. She rated it right up there.I thought the Benedict was good as well. TBH it's tough to screw this one up but I've seen it happen.Overall a solid 5 and definitely a place I'll visit again."
"Made us 8 pizzas right when they opened for a birthday party. So nice to deal with, pizzas were hot and fresh, and they even let my dad use the bathroom in the back before heading back to the park. We will definitely be going back for a Friday night pizza."
"It was a beautiful day so we sat outside which may be why the wait to order was a bit longer but overall the service was good. The menu had so many delicious sounding choices it was difficult to decide. All 3 of us were very happy with our entrees, my daughter especially loved the shakshuka she ordered."
"Wow! I've been to a fair amount of gas stations with quick serve restaurants and this is by far one of the best I've had. The gentlemen that run the BP and Broomall Grill have got the right recipe. Fantastic breakfast at a minimum cost. We ordered enough food for a basic breakfast for 5, 3 adults and 2 children. We ordered 2 omelets, which come with toast and tater tots, the meat and the western which were HUGE, 4 pancakes, which we definitely underestimated, 2 waffles, and a sausage egg and cheese bagel. REAL EGGS, REAL MEAT with every food item. This is a fill up, besides the gas pump, that should be recognized for good eats. I wish I was hanging around to give the lunch or light dinner items a try, tacos etc. I love to support local diners and small businesses whenever possible. This spot did not disappoint. Thank you for a REAL breakfast."
"A great place. Been open many years. Recently on TV for their Anniversary. Sometimes crowded but they are quick and move fast. You can get breakfast sandwiches all day which is a plus. Coffee very good, another plus. Only takes cash, no big deal to me. Grew up in South Philly and local neighborhood places the same. Got scrapple, egg & cheese, bacon, egg & cheese, peppers , egg & cheese. All outstanding. Owner Bruce and his wife working up front, working, greeting and monitoring everything."
"My family and I ordered from Takka Grill and Shrimpies this evening. They came highly recommended by my aunt and our meal did not disappoint. The four of us ladies ordered the exact same thing but before I get into the food itself let me say it's always a plus when a seafood restaurant delivers and that all four of our meals were stapled shut and securely wrapped which is a pretty big deal when your meal is swimming in a luscious buttery sauce. We each had the snow crab with corn on the cob and broccoli and two orders of the Cajun shrimp. Each platter had two gloriously large clusters that were seasoned with old bay and steamed to perfection. The shrimp were a good size and also steamed and seasoned well. The red sauce they serve with it was a sort of mix of cocktail and hot sauce. There was an almost hour wait but we didn't mind especially when our meal arrived piping hot! All of us were full and satisfied."
"Have eaten here twice now and the burgers are outstanding. Not a negative thing to say about this yummy sandwich."
"Muffins is another excellent breakfast/lunch kitchen on 4th Street, Bridgeport, PA, just across the Schuylkill River from Norristown. It changed ownership a couple of years ago, and has become a warm inviting cafe in which to settle down on a bright red seat or tubular stainless stool along the counter and chow down heartily. A solitary traveler, I sat at the counter overlooking the open kitchen and was served by Lexi the friendly efficient server, who took my order for a Veggie Omelet, hash browns with onion/green pepper mixed in and rye toast, and poured their Ward Coffee dripped by Bunn several times without being asked. Everything was excellent. It looked great on the oval plate, with the omelet taking up half the space, and the generous taters and toast the rest. The eggs were moist and full with spinach, pepper, onion, mushroom and tomato. The hash browns were nicely crisped with sautéed onions and green peps wrapped within the fold over (+$1). I don't know how I ate it all, but it was too delicious to leave anything behind. On the way out I chatted with Paul, one of the owners of Muffins. It was he who prepared my meal, and I thanked him for making my day. He seemed genuinely pleased with my satisfaction. This strip of 4th Street is becoming a destination for people who love their morning or afternoon meals in unique and attractive surroundings that cook up menus that allow them to think of themselves as foodies, or at least lovers of great American cookery."
"Quiet possibly the best kept secret in West Philly. When I became a pescatarian I thought I'd never eat anything else that came close to the delicious taste of a cheese steak, but I was wrong. The salmon cheesesteak here is next level. The bread is always delicious, although you never know if you're going to get wheat or white bread. There is also a special sauce that they add in that really sets the whole sandwich off to another level. I can also vouch for the Mac and cheese. It's super cheesy and very well done. There's also always a bit of a crispy layer of cheese on top which is a sure fire sign that you're getting authentic baked Mac and cheese. I honestly can't vouch for anything else on the menu because I've ordered from here about ten times and I only get the salmon-cheesesteak and Mac and cheese. But if those dishes are any indication of the rest of the menu, then you won't be disappointed. Enjoy!"
"Not bad. I wasn't very impressed with the sandwich, but the drinks were good. The place was loud too. I tried the passion fruit and blackberry libations and ordered the crispy chicken sandwich. The service was average. I intended to order another drink, but the waitress didn't check back with me, so I decided to leave after finishing my meal."
"I had a potential client tell me "Ignore the Philly Cheesesteak when you go to Philly. You need to get a Roast Pork Sandwich from Tommy DiNic's in that big market. It won Best Sandwich in America..." He closed his dissertation with "Throw out everything you thought you knew about sandwiches." ... Done.I was going to Philly that weekend to visit my gf, so I had to get the sandwich and tell him it was amazing regardless. I'm trying to win his business. We entered the bizarrely calm Reading terminal market, got in a short line, and ordered the beloved Roast Pork Sandwich. It was made up of Roasted Pork Shoulder, Broccoli Rabe, and onions.Honestly it was pretty damn good, but it wasn't an "Oh my god..." on the first few bites good. Best sandwich in America I just can not get behind. However, it was voted the champ back in 2013. A lot can change in 10 years...Regardless, I sent an email to the potential client with a picture of me CHEESIN and said "I can fully see why it was voted the best sandwich in America..."IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov_reviews"
"Perfect breakfast spot! Super cute, great food and service! Top 5 eggs benedict I've ever had!!! My husband was obsessed with the brioche breakfast sandwich. Can't wait to come back!"
"Nudy's is the best! They have a great amount of breakfast/brunch options. I really enjoyed the Huevos Rancheros. It was so filling and fresh. The huevos rancheros came with jalapeños, sour cream, hash browns, tomatoes, and carrots. Definitely like how they used hash browns instead of the typical tortilla chip! The Tuscan Omelet was very cheesy. I loved how I could substitute fruit for the fries; however, I wish they would give more of a quantity of fruit. Overall, the food was fairly priced and the service was great!"
""You can take the boy out of the city, but you can't take the city out of the boy " Very true. Perhaps this is why I always look forward to exploring Philly neighborhoods for cool places to eat. Today it was The New Olympia House on Castor Avenue that had my time and attention. A corner luncheonette that has been slinging hash for more than half a century, this little piece of Athens is well preserved, with long counter with about 10 spinners, booths behind that, and a large dining room behind the kitchen in this double wide row house neighborhood. The charm and cultural history were all in place, much as it has operated since 1960. I was very happy to have found the joint as I straddled the stool and was approached by the attractive server in black spandex pants. The question at hand was - would the kitchen support the excited first impression, or no? The answer was discovered soon enough. For this breakfast at least, the rude awakening was in the negative - my anticipation was better than the reality this day. My french toast looked golden brown, and the old style syrup dispenser with slip down spring metal opening was way cool. However, the underside chassis had too much char, resulting in a burnt taste that required extra syrup to offset. That taste led me to think that the grill was not cleaned between orders, leaving burnt butter or other lubricant around to stick to the next food sizzling there. It also meant a lack of attention by the short order cook (not chef), and an attempt to hide the dark side from view. The three slices were ample, and had the decision been made to start afresh rather than hope I didn't notice, would have made me a true fan.First impression dashed. The Cecilware drip coffee was fine. I love those old contraptions. Yet, despite all the help behind the counter, no one saw that my small cup was bereft of coffee and needed refilling, until I asked. Hard to understand such inattentiveness when I was the only customer sitting there. Chalk it up to my invisibility, sometimes not the best superpower to practice while dining. Still, I liked New Olympia House enough to regret this happenstance, and wish for a better experience. This could have been one of those true Philadelphia moments that only the city's profound indifference to perfection in the face of amazing potential, created the opportunity to transcend low expectations and truly hit the mark in miraculous laudation. That moment must await a more hopeful day."
"The food quality was good, portion sizes were large & the service was excellent. We had a large group with multiple families and required multiple checks. Very accommodating & the price was reasonable."
"The food is ok. Just ok gives a 4 star for me. I wish it was a bit more flavorful. It is there but then it misses. Server was great and attentive. But the WINGS that's what I suggest. Fried hard with sauce on side. Wings and drinks. They have a healthy pour and you will love the combos. I'd return for the WINGS and drinks. Burger was just ok. The fries were tasty. Chill place, seems like a bunch of locals are constants. The tacos needed a bit more flavor. Especially a birria taco. Even dipping it didn't add flavor. Mines are better. They were out of a few things and menu was changing the next day so perhaps perhaps that's why they were off. I'd go back for the WINGS and Oaxaca old fashion. Yes please!"
