10/10 Reccomend Phat Yucca on Peachtree at Pharr Rd. The food is flavorful, heart, and savory. The owners and staff are informative and friendly. They offer all sauces to try and all of the sides are delicious. Additionally, the food is clean eating with no gluten or dairy. please go support this business and help them succeed.

If you're in the market for a true foodie experience, this is the place! From the warm welcome as you walk through the door, to the way they took the time to explain the delightful menu options, it's really easy to fall in love with Phat Yuca.I had the HellaVegan with a side of sweet potatoes drizzled with the mouthwatering white garlic sauce. Truly an explosion of flavors! The yuca pocket literally melts in your mouth...downright delicious!Between the friendly service, the savory menu and the chill music, this place is a total VIBE!

Found this place after going to the salon in the area. I wanted something fresh and fulfilling and PhatYuca was exactly that. I ordered the pulled chicken arepa with the voodoo sauce. Nice amount of tender well marinated chicken breast. I'd never tried a yucca (cassava) based arepa before and I loved it. I normally have the corn based one and this was a nice alternative. Not as heavy as a traditional arepa. I was able to enjoy most of it without feeling stuffed but definitely satisfied. You order at a counter, it seems the food is made to order. There is plenty of indoor seating as well as some outdoor seating. The man who took my order was very friendly and knowledgeable and gave me a great background about the food and restaurant. It's a casual spot no reservations just walk in place your order and grab a table. There is also some parking directly in front of the restaurant. Only reason I give it 4 stars is because I did find a hair in my food towards my last few bites. It wouldn't deter me from trying them again, things happen but hopefully they'll work on keeping hair away from food.

I was so excited about this place based on the reviews and pictures. I've had arepas before and have always loved them. My boyfriend went and grabbed me one to go as I had a tight schedule. He told me the menu was really small and there weren't a lot of the options I saw in the pictures. What he was able to get me was basically shredded chicken in a creamy Sriracha sauce. The sauce was pretty bland. The meat didn't have that nice smoked flavor I have loved from other spots ai have tried, and the arepa had been wrapped tightly in plastic wrap. The consistency of the arepa was similar to a mochi, maybe because of this, which is not what I'm used to, and also the dough was overly salted.

This is a delicious spot for anyone looking for arepas, healthy food, tasty food, or allergen-free food! They make gluten-free, vegan, and normal arepas with delicious sauces. We saw them at the Peachtree farmers market and just had to stop by to try it out. And boy are we glad we did! The spot is super cute and they explained everything super well for us! Don't be alarmed by the size of the arepa, we couldn't even finish our one as they are super stuffed.Highly recommend for anyone!!

My lovely bride and I live a few blocks from Phat Yuca, and we love their food, especially the Big Phatty. My bride likes their chicken version and I like the ground beef version. Their sides are also excellent: sweet potatoes, black beans, spicy kale, and smashed chickpeas. The service is prompt and pleasant. Very reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

The yuca arepa's are truly a unique experience and the way they make them you have a hard time telling they are not bread. All the food is gluten free and was soo good. The owner was also extremely nice and explained the different sauces and let us taste them.

Picked up a Brunch Arepa from the Peachtree Rd Farmers Market last weekend and it was AMAZING. All three sauces you can sample were fantastic and you can choose which one goes on the arepa. This one had eggs, avocado, sprouts, and the sauces I chose (don't remember the names, but the light orange and the white ones!) and I would get it every weekend from now on if I could.Note: these yucca arepas are different than the traditional corn arepas - it seemed much more doughy/mushy and thicker than the corn ones I've had before from my favorite Venezuelan spot in FL. However, it is 100% worth trying, as I still *loved* it!Looking forward to heading to their actual store soon to see the expanded menu beyond what was available at the market

I wanted to love everything about this place, but I do have some critiques. To start, all the flavors are very good, and I think that if I got it in a bowl form, maybe I would've enjoyed it more, but I really wanted to try the arepa. That being said, I much prefer a corn arepa to a yuca arepa. The texture is the issue for me. This arepa, although tasted good, was mushy and doughy inside. It could be that some people prefer that, but it just wasn't what I wanted from it. The chicken inside the arepa though was delicious and I cannot fault it.Vegan Mac was ok. I would get a different side if I came back. I can see why people love this place, but I'm just a traditional corn arepa girl I guess. The staff was so nice and friendly too. I think this place is worth a try, just be prepared for it to be a lot different than your usual arepa texture.

First time visiting and I will be back. This is a family owned business, they are very friendly and the food is delicious. I love that this place is gluten free, dairy free nut free. I was able to sample all 3 sauces before I ordered, all 3 were good but I decided to use 2- a ranch and aioli. I tried the WHUDDUP Y'ALL? In a yuca pocket and added pickles with a side of vegan Mac. I got the order to go and it was delicious.... So much flavor. The restaurant itself is quaint and comfortable. I will definitely be back and told some friends to go by as well.
