A cute pet-friendly cafe with a persimmon theme in Fishtown. It might be a popular spot in the neighborhood as it was busy on a Sunday morningSide note: My friend recommended me Drift Magazine for city coffee guide and I was excited to flip the physical copies there. We ordered latte and cappuccino. Very smooth coffee with a nutty espresso base. Well-frothed milk gave a creamy texture. Loved the latte art on top. The porcelain mugs and coasters they used were cute. Their pastries looked attractive to serve with coffee too.

Went after wanting to try for months. It's cute and cozy, just around the corner from the Septa MFL station. Milk was well steamed and poured, the beans were fine but not my favorite in Philly. Prefer a more bold flavor. They only have 2 choices of milk which for a coffee bar with a fairly small menu, makes no sense. Do a few things well yes, I have no problem with a craft coffee place, but the new wave of sorry we only serve whole milk or oat because that's the only way we like to serve it is BS. Some people want to appreciate an espresso drink without needing it to be a heavy indulgence. The coffee isn't standout good enough to warrant that.

The coffee here is fine but it didn't stick out for me. The cafe is small with one or two tables with a minimalist seating area meant to replicate traditional Japanese style dining. Maybe if I had ordered tea instead, I would've felt more zen.

Kind and friendly service, the coffees were well made and the pastries high quality. I believe they get them delivered. The space is minimalist, which I love, but quite uncomfortable to stay and sit to drink your coffee. The tables are super lightweight, from ikea, I believe, and you can accidentally tip it over easily. And the tables are much lower than the seats, so just the whole thing is quite uncomfortable, sitting on the outside of the room with every other patron.

Persimmon coffee is innovating coffee in Philadelphia and I'm excited to see the business grow. I truly tasted unique coffee when I ordered an americano. The experience of their coffee starts with the smell. Unlike regular coffee, it smells sweeter. Then when you sip the coffee, the coffee feels light with a subtle fruity flavor. It was a delightful experience! I'm not sure what beans they're using or how they're brewing the coffee, but it's unlike most coffees in Philadelphia. I went here with a friend since she knew one of the owners and wanted to support the business. I'm glad that I went because I want to support the business now. Also, their persimmon merch is very cute.

My bestie showed me her favorite neighborhood cafe. It was a snow day, so we decided to trek out for something to keep us warm and cozy. So glad we stopped by persimmon. They have the most minimalistic and relaxing space to come and enjoy a drink with a friend or solo. The decor from the cute little persimmon miniatures (on sale) to the wall in the bathroom were on point. The barista was so kind and welcoming and he made the yummiest matcha latte. I loved the vessel it came in, that gave it a fun texture to hold and enjoy the matcha. Not to mention the very beautiful latte art. It was the perfect sip of warmth on a frosty day.

Such a cute coffee shop in Philly! A few seats along the walls which makes it a nice place to casually catch up with people. Their drinks are so innovative. Their foolish tiger really stood out. It's a latte with persimmon and ginger syrup, cinnamon, black walnut bitters and maple syrup. I love ginger but was a bit hesitant because I wasn't sure how the blend of persimmon and the other flavors would work. However, it was delicious!! I loved how strong but not overly spicy the ginger was and the other flavors made the latte taste very warm without being overly sweet. There is a small selection of pastries but it does not seem to be the focus. It was pretty busy but moved quick on a Saturday. A great place for a coffee!

Simple, stylish cafe with great coffee and friendly staff who love to serve you and talk about coffee. My cafe latte was delicious. They seem passionate about quality, delicious coffee. They have pastries on the weekends, but food is not their focus. Not much else to say. Highly recommended.
