Upscale bar with great ambiance for date night or friends. Great selection of cocktails and bourbons/whiskey. We went on a friday around 8 pm, a few people were leaving just in time and we got a table for 8. There were tables Reserved so I would call ahead on the weekend.It was a noisy place but it didn't bother us, the dim lit atmosphere and our drinks were great. The bar even passed out a manhattan sample that some at our table enjoyed. I would definitely recommend and will go again.Order the carajillo!

Made another trip to Permission on a Friday evening at 5 ish. I guess a pretty busy time for bars. Our group had 4 excellent cocktails, but the parking in the area was crazy, and our service was quite slow. Can't upgrade to 5 Stars, but no reason to downgrade to 3. We will still go back when in the area, but maybe during a slower time. Probably just a service glitch on this visit.

This place was such a vibe. Super cool drinks. Very strong !! Walked right in , was able to sit at bar. Staff very nice and knowledgeable. Would go here for date night or night out with the fellas.

Chanel is amazing! she came to our outdoor table and helped us decide on the perfect drinks based on our preferred flavor profiles. I ordered the Eastside cocktail and it was perfect! not too sweet, nice mix of cucumber and botanicals. They have an extensive whiskey list, including some rare pours if you are willing to try them.

service is always phenomenal, we love sitting at the bar and talking to the bartenders if they aren't busy. drinks are so good with so many options. there's more than just whiskey i promise but it's heaven for any whiskey or bourbon lover;with all the options and aged and worldwide options.

First off, GORGEOUS spot. Kudos to the hiring manager and the leader of this establishment because they've managed to not only find the GREATEST bartender, but also keep him happy. Mero knew what I NEEDED! I asked him for a specific cocktail but I wasn't a fan of the grapefruit and wanted something to "sneak up on me ". My guy Mero curated the SMOOTHEST gin cocktail mixed with God-knows-what and now he's got a wife for life.

Last night was the second time I came to this bar, and it won't be the last. I came with a party of 7, and the bar was mostly empty at that time (10pm on a Monday). The service was quick and the drinks were strong - best combination ever. Average cocktail was maybe $15 or so, give or take a couple bucks. Kinda your standard cocktail cost these days, unfortunately. They were very good though. The inside of this place is just fantastic. Whiskey bottles everywhere, dimly lit, and comfortable seating. If you're in Houston and you're looking for a new cocktail bar to call home, this is the one.

Paper plane cocktail, the aperiol mixed with whiskey is a really good drink that's not so strong and it's semi sweet. The ambiance was also nice. Had Shanelle as our server and she was great and was detailed in explaining the whiskeys to us and suggesting per our taste.

We are out for a parents night out and they have been on my list for ever. It's super cute for a date, or even to meet someone if your looking to date. The low light and warmth make it easy to be sensual and have conversation. We order the oysters and they were super clean and smooth, no grit! This is a 10 to of 10
