Fish swimming in pickles ... our absolute fav soup. Caution: order without the dry red chills --they put a small mountain of it otherwise.

Got the beef stew noodle soup. It was really good. Exactly how it should taste. The noodles are udon as a heads up.Only complaint, they gave me the wrong order. Like a completely different dish, but the waiter caught it and immediately removed it from my bill so that was nice.

Great steak cubes. I would not order takeout through Yelp though as it is managed by GrubHub and they charge extra just to order through Yelp. Unbelievable! Where is the disclosure that when you look at online menu through Yelp the prices are jacked up by GrubHub. Never again! Call their direct number to order.

A great option for Chinese takeout! The kung pao chicken is my go-to entree, and it was really good here. We also had the dumplings, which were a great appetizer.

We haven't been here for a long time due to other options in the area but just make a big takeout order last night (5 dishes). Boy, it was a big mistake on my part. The chef must be a different/newer/subpar chef than any of their other locations because their dishes here are vastly inferior to the Kirby location. The flavors and preparation were extremely disappointing and it was even more disappointing that none of their 5 dishes (I consider those easy and signature dishes for Pepper Twins) tasted anywhere close to being on par. No issues with the takeout process, just the food was subpar. Also a big pet peeve but please update your online menu with actual prices that you are charging in the store; a lack of care and attention to detail is clear when your website and menu is outdated. With Duck n Bao, Wanna Bao, and Mala in the area; we will be hard pressed to come back to this location.

I typically love coming here for lunch for their Dan Dan noodles. The flavors are always great, but today was a miss for me. I requested more Dan Dan sauce, and instead, I got water added to the sauce that was already there. Really disappointed, there was absolutely no flavor because they had diluted it with water! As much as I like this place, I couldn't finish this dish, wasted $10 today plus my appetite.

My family's favorite spot for Szechuan and other Asian food, Pepper Twins on West Gray, delivers on taste, value, and service. We love the extra hospitality that we consistently experience from Robert and his staff. The food is always good, flavorful, plentiful, and brings authentic taste to our discriminating (Asian) palate. Definitely a must try if you love Szechuan. They offer the standard American Chinese cuisine favorites too and occasional Thai, Viet items on the menu. If you're simply just wanting a no frills yet great dining experience, give this place a try!

Pepper Twins definitely never disappoints! I had previously only been to the Fairview location (which is now closed) but I found myself craving their delicious Pepper Twins chicken and decided to come by this location for the first time. Let's just say, I will definitely be coming back! The Pepper Twins chicken was just as good as I remembered! I love spicy food, so this dish is perfect for me and is what has me coming back time and time again! I love the flavor and depth the chilis and peppercorns add to the dish. But it could be a little much if you're not a big fan of spice. Their dumplings were also delicious (some of the best I've had) and were served with 2 different sauces, one on the sweeter side and one on the spicier side. Both were fantastic and complemented the dumplings wonderfully! I've had the sweet and sour eggplant in the past from their other location I used to frequent, and this is definitely a dish that has left an impression on me as well! (Will have to get it here next time) The service was also wonderful and our server, May, went above and beyond with making our experience at this location lovely. They have an extensive menu, and based on what I've tried, I'm sure it's all fantastic! You can tell a lot of care and effort has been put forth into these dishes. There's a lot of things that I'm intrigued to try, but their Pepper Twins chicken has my heart!

We went several times before Christmas as I kept coming back for their pork belly noodle soup, which was absolutely delicious, prepared with the right balance of earthy umami broth and sweet cinnamon accents, and tender, fatty cuts of pork. I always had to ask for extra bok choi though. Their waitstaff were warm and attentive and provided lovely service. Then at the tail end of the freeze this year I tried a fish soup with white rice that swam in a gamey chicken fat broth seasoned with mouth numbing chinese peppercorn. The catfish filets were good but again I had to ask for more greens. It was not spicy, but by the fourth or fifth spoonful I could not feel my lips nor tongue, like a shot of novocain taking hold of my mouth, and the fatty chicken broth made me gag. I could not finish it. We went one more time yesterday and I tried their tofu pad thai. It was a plate of standard noodles with no variety of veg, no crunch, no bits of peanuts nor herbs, flavored with watered down ketchup. Again I had to ask for more greens, and when the bock choi finally came it was overcooked. Very disappointed. Not to mention the cook and waitstaff (different people than before) were yelling at each other in Mandarin. We'll likely not go again.
