Small restaurant, corner of Beechnut and Chimney Rock. Excellent food, ample portions. Not an extensive menu, but flavors are genuine without being over done. Small dining area, most business seems call in and pick up.

Newly opened cafe featuring Taiwanese snacks with a mix of traditional Asian flavors and more popular Western ones. It's a small place, about the size of a coffee/bubble tea shop with 5-6 tables. Plenty of parking as it's in a small strip center. We ended up ordering something from every section of the menu and enjoyed all of it. However, the fried rice was the standout of the night. All fried rice are not created equal. We ordered the combo fried rice and it struck the perfect balance of flavor, ingredients, and texture. The rice was moist, it wasn't too salty, and it also came out piping hot! Days later, I'm still thinking about it. Everyone else must have also figured out the fried rice is special here, as I saw ~5 to go orders also order fried rice to go. Lychee milk tea (5/5): great lychee flavor and not too sweet - would definitely order again. Chicken nuggets (5/5): ample amount of fried basil leaves, nuggets seasoned well - again not too salty, chicken still juicy and not overcookedSpicy basil wings (4/5): cooked well, not spicy despite the name, flavor was good, but I prefer dry rub, so rating based more on preference Asian spiced Fried tofu (4/5): Asian spice = traditional salt and pepper, fried super crispy and comes with a savory dipping sauce, the Asian spice was a little light, would try a different flavor next timeCombo fried rice (5+/5): shrimp, chicken, and beef all cooked to perfection, the fragrance of the green onion wafting from the fried rice was so good. The rice was moist and not too greasy either. One of the best fried rice I've had. Crawfish fried rice (4/5): rice just as good as the other order, but has some heat/spice to it. I prefer the combo but again that's mostly preference. They only had one person working in the back, so service was as fast as it could be given everything was being made to order. I don't think we waited more than 15 min for our food. They've only been open a few weeks so I think they're still staffing up. Will definitely be back!

Peeps. Grab some grub on the go and it was everything my Elite Village said it was. Small space so I recommend to get it and keep moving. The food was hot and fresh and tasted great. The hey also let you grab as much duck sauce as you want which shocked me. But don't be greedy. Definitely on my list for takeout and take home. Fall through and tell them Dk sent you. #DrKindness

My one & only time visiting Pepper Salt, the owner & cook was very nice, & he went over the menu that was placed on the wall behind him. I ordered items that I & my husband have enjoyed at other Chinese restaurants, & waited as he went to the back to create my order. He brought it out already packaged. When he told me the total, the price surprised me, because my 3 items cost me more than double what I've paid at other Chinese restaurants, but I paid it & took it home. I & my husband were very disappointed in the look, taste & portion size of the food. Everything was greasy & bland. That said, I've read great reviews from others, but with our experience, we won't be returning. I know that anyone can have a bad day, but since I was the only customer there, & it was lunchtime, I would think that he'd do a better job.

Great experience dining in with my boys, all of them enjoyed the food and prices are reasonable. There is not much space inside so next time I think we will order to go.Buena opción en el vecindario, comida muy original y con buen sazón asiático. No hay mucho espacio para comer allí así que es buena opción el ordenar para llevar.

My wife and I and our daughter-in-law and our grandbaby enjoyed our first visit to Pepper Salt. Great little Asian fusion place, food from Tawain, Korea, China, etc. We shared everything. The wonton soup was very tasty. The Tawainese style chicken nuggets were a hit. The fried vegetable egg rolls were gone almost as soon as they hit the table. You can get fried rice and add/get fancy items like spam...which is what we shared...this got us stirred up enough to go shopping for a keto sub for rice....cauliflower rice and spam may be for supper. We'll be back for more of these goodies. They do a few coffee and milk tea concoctions, wings and dumplings that we'll try on our next visit.

There's a new gem in Meyerland serving great Asian take out. Tried the Taiwanese chicken nuggets, spicy basil wings, and fried rice that you can add a variety of meat/seafood. All delicious. Highly recommended!

FOOD: scrumptious! Good value - good portions and quality. Deep, rich flavors. Menu is concise with good variety. BEST: crawfish fried rice. SERVICE: good! Weekday at 6pm-- low traffic, filled 30% capacity, quick service, order-to-table time 10 mins. Order and pay at counter, self-sitting. Staff is courteous and polite. AMBIANCE: quaint, small dinning area with limited siting (indoor sitting only). Harsh natural lighting at sunset, warm temperature as a result of the floor-to-ceiling and wall-to-wall glass store front. Comfortable noise volume. Will return!

Adore this new place in the neighborhood. Fried rice is seriously legit. My daughter can't stop eating after her first spoonful and screamed " Daddy! Come eat the rice before I finish it all! I can't stop!" The popcorn chicken is great as well, so is their chicken wings.
