Peony Asian Bistro

We stopped by for dinner on a Wed night. It was around 6-6:30. There were maybe 6 people eating in. There seemed to be lots of take out. The inside dining space was very dimly lit.Hubby wanted sushi. They have BOGOF. I did not find the sushi to be very good. We got spicy shrimp rolls and I couldn't find either the shrimp or the spice. The crab Rangoon appetizer was a winner.We also got a chicken pad Thai to split. Also not so good. Too sweet and not spicy enough. Even though I ordered chicken, I found more tofu in the dish than chicken. In my opinion, the menu is too big. Make it smaller and prepare those dishes really well.We may try again - but I really doubt it.

So I ordered my food to go and when I sat down at home, starving and looking forward to trying their version of Eggplant with Garlic Sauce. So imagine my great sadness when I realized that they didn't pack it. I checked my receipt, and I definitely ordered and paid for it. So, not getting my main dish that I was seriously craving was a real disappointment. I ordered vegetable tempura as a tiny appetizer and ended up making that my whole dinner. It was good! My mom got Chicken Broccoli and said it was incredibly bland. She would not order it again.

Great place to go. Great food! Love the soup dumpling and wonton soup! Everything I great. Sushi is very good too. Everything is really good an service is awesome!

Me and my family have been loving peony for the last 10 years. I grew up enjoying thisplace. The service is so kind and thoughtful and make sure to provide satisfactory service. The food is amazing itself. Fresh, delicious and up to GOOD standards. The pictures don't even serve how good this food really is. The ambiance is very zen; with red lighting, quiet environment, and overall very relaxing. Our family loves you peony.

Food is always great! Mongolian Beef and Thai Basil shrimp are two of my favorite entries. Sushi lovers, this is definitely a hidden gem!! Fresh made when order, Buy 1 get 1 free rolls!! Spiderman roll wonderful. Quiet peaceful restaurant. Bring your big appetite, and enjoy

I think we ordered delivery several years ago but I neglected to look up that review. I was willing to try it again because I do remember writing that I suspected that I would enjoy the food more if I was sitting at the restaurant. Well, I was correct! Everything we ordered was very good. Th crab rangoon were huge, tasty and it was reasonably priced six of them! We took one home, We should have taken two home but it wad difficult to stop eating them! Fortunately we split an order of Moo Shu pork, that wonderful plum sauce and five pancakesTwo people one order enough for two more lunch meals! We arrived at 5:30 while there were only a smattering of people. The other reviews had warned us that they are consistently busy. By the time our main dish arrived we were glad we came early. I don't remember the ambiance but it was good enough just didn't stand out the service was good enough (timing) and the people were absolutely polite, helpful, accommodating to our needs, The seasoning were very good, the food cooked just right. As I suspected, the table had some bottles of hot and of sweet additions. We decided to try the little bottles of carbonated soft drink that comes in a glass bottle with a marble sitting inside away from the liquid Brand name Ramune. I chose lychee which I liked and my companion chose pineapple , The bottle had no carbonation, do the server rushed over to give her another one, apologizing profusely. No extra charge. The label says don't try to get the marble out . The glass may break. So we took our bottles home so that we wouldn't make spectacles of ourselves.

This place is a good place to eat your average Asian food. There's nothing that really stands out to me or separates them from any other Asian restaurant. It was pretty empty when we got there but it was before dinner rush and it seems like a majority of customers simply opt for take out. They didn't space out booths so all of the people currently eating in the restaurant were awkwardly close to each other. But there was no obnoxious music which I loved so I felt comfortable. The staff were nice and checked in on us. I got steamed shrimp and rice and it was decent, nothing to write home about but it was filling. Overall this place was neither amazing nor bad. It's a good place to go to get quick and simple Asian food/sushi.
