Great outdoor place. Even on a Saturday in June. Not too hot, nice shade with nice trees. Beer & wine with farmers market & food trucks.

Love love love the vibes here at night!! It was our first time here and absolutely will be back! They had live music and a car show here tonight. Very inexpensive. They have local beers and food trucks. Family and pet friendly. Just only wish there was more than one bathroom! But overall a great experience!

Could not say more about the friendly vibe of this place. The ultimate in dog friendly with a lot of open space and great beers on tap. Kids are certainly welcome and folks are easy to talk to - just ask them about their dog and they'll ask you about yours.

Penny's Beer Garden is one of those inimitable, off the beaten path places one might never discover unless you went looking for it. I like the fact that most Houston folks know nothing about Penny's, which adds an element of escapism to going there.The people who run the place are kind, affable and folksy, in a good way. This is a chill, no fuss kind of place for sure.I was already curious about Penny's beforehand, but found out there was going to be a daytime Halloween gathering on the grounds. It was easy to tell from the description of the event that it would be a fun excursion, and indeed it was.The Halloween decorations and attractions made for a warm, convivial atmosphere complete with orange dragon, a spooky tree, scarecrow, pumpkin patch and a tall inflated character. Not sure if I ever spotted Penny the dog, but there were lots of other cool dogs dressed in Halloween costumes out there. One of the dogs even looked like a lion! And another dog was dressed like a turtle. Haha.The beer I selected was a great Urban South Brewery Triple Spilled fruited sour. Later in the day, a Cousins Maine Lobster trucked pulled up to the grounds, and I ordered a delicious lobster roll with chips. There was also a couple out there selling preserves. Snagged a jar of pineapple preserves. All in all, hanging out at Penny's for an early Halloween celebration was a great, memorable experience.

Penny's is my husband and I's favorite hangout for a beer and backyard vibe. It has a great selection of beers, a select amount of wine and during the summer slushes! They have an indoor air conditioner seating area and outdoor area with trees covering most of it. Half of the outdoor area is adults only and the another half is family friendly. The family friendly half includes a jungle gym. They have a farmers market on certain Sundays that is great. The owner also grows her own garden and you can browse in it also. During Halloween they had an okra maze where you can harvest and take your loot home! So much fun!They typically have a food truck on weekends. Every truck we have eaten off of there has been excellent. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this place. If you haven't gone here yet go!

We love coming to Penny's - this is our official hang out spot! Great outdoor space, so we love to bring our doggos along. We regularly come for trivia on Thursdays, for live music, or just for a great beer. Love how they support local breweries and we love trying something different each time. The staff is always great and it's always nice to see regulars and the business doing so great!Such a fan, we had our dogs "Breed Reveal Party" here a couple years back. Amazing time all around.

Only reason it's a 4/5 is because there was supposed to be a pumpkin patch. The patch was no more than 1 place to take pictures; Regardless, a good amount of local craft beers on tap. Very relaxing atmosphere, will be back.

Great little place to hang out and have some craft beers. Good for the whole family. Bring the kids because they have plenty of things to play on outside.
