Pennison's Sports Pub

I've come here a few times. It is very much a "regulars" hangout, but once you get past not being a regular, it's a cool place to chill and have a drink. Drinks are cheap and well made. They make a good Old Fashioned, which not all bartenders can make these days, or not all bars have all the ingredients for. If you smoke, bring whatever form of tobacco tickles your fancy. If you don't smoke, come prepared to inhale lots of second-hand and to leave with your clothes reeking of it. If you don't smoke, and don't like being around smoke, you should definitely go elsewhere. Booze, trivia, karaoke nights, and loud raucous talk. No food. It's your local, hole in the wall, straight-up bar.

Thank you Jay for calling me a liar. It did happen at your bar. As the owner you should be setting the example for your staff and you definitely should know better then to reply by calling me a liar.

They go out of their way to find the game you're interested in. A true sports bar. This place allows smoking. If that bothers you then you have been warned.

I have been coming here for a while now since it is close to home. Awesome hole in the wall in the Sugar Land area for those who wanna stay away from "downtown" Sugar Land. Happy hour from open to 7pm M-FIf you get yourself a Pennisons Mug for 15$ (along with first pour on the house) you are entitled to domestic drafts for $2.50 and import drafts such as St.Arnolds Octoberfest and Guiness for $5.00 with the mug.They have different nights ranging from dart night, poker night, "water pong" night, and karaoke nights. The only problem is that smoking is still allowed inside and it does build up! Expect to leave reeking of cig smell. I love the crowd since everyone is about their own business and eventually you get to know the "regulars." Pennison's has awesome bartenders that are are attentive and make sure to keep drinks coming (responsibly of course.) If you ever find yourself around this area, stop on in and check out the pub, tell em BroBear sent ya!

Our first time here the bartender changed the channel to the game we wanted to watch. Everybody was friendly and priced reasonably. Women's bathroom very clean

Fun, Friendly & fair-priced with good patrons and lots to watch on one of the many TVs or games to play.One of my fave spots in proper Sugar Land and one of the longest-running Sports Pubs in the area!

Staff was attentive, but the place smelled like an ashtray. I walked out stinking like cigarettes. If youre a smoker...you'll love this place. If not a smoker..highly doubtfut.

Let me just stay I've been enjoying the nightlife in this area for a really long time. The scene was becoming a little dry until the single most beautiful thing I've ever seen in my entire life started working here. The legend of the area Austin Baker (EZ "dreamy" B). With that being said I have a newfound habit of going to Pennison's and just watching Austin do some heavy lifting behind the bar. No matter if he's just flexing his masculinity on scrawny customers, changing kegs (my fav) or wearing one of his space cat shirts - watching him in his work habitat is really the rave of the entire area right now. I hope nobody is sitting in my spot in front of the kegs, waiting for them to run dry to watch this masculine specimen change them. Maybe if you are really really lucky you will see a customer get rowdy and watch this alpha male bring him crashing down to reality with a single swipe of that elegant left hand. I've never had so many sleepless nights waiting for his next shift. Waiting to walk in and lay my eyes on his big chest. There's really no other feeling like it in the world. Thank you, Pennison's. Great place. Old school atmosphere. If your looking for a more future and forward environment? Look somewhere else. This is a lace is meant for the bold and the brave.

Rude employees. For a bar, they really don't seem to want people to drink. Total dive. Don't waste your time.
