Penn Restaurant

This is one of my favorite places in the world. The ambiance is nostalgic, simple, and feels very local. The wait staff is always laid back and friendly, and you never wait too long for food. If you want the best breakfast sandwich ever, get a bacon, egg, and cheese with spinach on a croissant.

Needed a place for a lunch meeting. A local recommended the Penn restaurant. I tried to find reviews and came up blank. Had to give it a try. They do not have outdoor dining however they do space you out inside . It may actually be classified as a diner/dive if your a DD&D fan. Walk in and you notice the locals sitting at the counter. Everyone knows everyone else. Nothing fancy, a little dated. If I lived in this area I would be a regular. I needed to take more pictures. I will when I return as I plan to make this my new meeting place in Orland pa. Simple menu plus a specials board. Had to try the split pea soup. It was homemade and good. The tuna wrap was suggested to me do I went for it. It was good. Can't wait to return to try the 3 alarm chili.

Love the Local FeelIt feels like Cheers where everyone knows your name. We're not regulars but definitely loved that vibe. Nothing like supporting a well loved local business.Service is typically pretty good. They are always busy so the servers run around quite a bit. We have only gone for breakfast. I've gotten omelets, breakfast sandwiches, french toast and pancakes. All are about to be expected. Good but won't blow you away. A lovely place for a family meal, though.Note that it's a cash only place. I don't mind it but we always have to remember to have cash with us before going. Keep that in mind when visiting.

I've been eating at the Penn diner since I can remember. Food is consistently delicious. Service is excellent. It's a family oriented, neighborhood spot that keeps ya coming back every week.

Went for breakfast this morning!haven't been here in awhile. Waited about 10 minutes to be greeted and coffee offered! Two waitresses working! Service was not good food okay! Then sat at table after finishing for about 15 minutes never got check had to walk to cash register to get it! Not treated well at all! We won't returnhorrible

Great local secret. You could drive past it and never take notice. There is nothing fancy here, just great food and fantastic waitstaff. Arrive early as there are only a handful of tables. Only drawback is that it's cash only, so plan ahead. It's the breakfast you'd make yourself without dirtying your kitchen or having to cook!

It was just what we were looking for! We came for breakfast. They have lots of omelette options. We had breakfast sandwiches and they were good. Prices were very reasonable. One note- cash only.

Great place. Straight up menu done well. They should up their prices actually, but hopefully they don't agree.
