Pelican Breakfast & Lunch- Friendswood

Was hungry this morning & was looking to try a new breakfast establishment to my search I found the PELICAN. I went with the Crab Cake Benedict & to my surprise this was DELICIOUS ..... The crab cake was crispy & the crab filling inside did not taste like imitation crab at all. The runny egg was the star of the show as you can see in the pictures I posted it was a pleasant combination with the hollandaise rich in flavor. The hash-browns were crispy & potatoey in the inside just how I like them :). Overall pretty solid place & service was great, would definitely come here again to try new items.

Went here for the first time today and it was good. My poor server seemed to be manning the entire place alone so it took a little longer to get coffee refills and whatnot but nothing insane. I ordered the BLT on sourdough and got a coffee. The food was pretty good and the coffee was decent. I would prefer better coffee but it wasn't a dealbreaker. It seemed clean inside. I would visit again.

Always delicious and the new menu item was a hit for me! The flavors mixed very well and the chicken was seasoned to perfection with the crispy english muffin under making sweet sweet harmony in your mouth!

Finally decided to try out this place, post work out. I believe they have two other locations and we went to the one here in Friendswood. We were immediately greeted with friendly staff and I really enjoyed the interior. It wasn't too busy either, so we came at a good time.I ordered orange juice, an avocado and bacon eggs Benedict, and home fries and waffles. I just wanted to try everything, a bit of sweet and savory. The hollandaise sauce was so creamy, rich, and perfect with every bite of the eggs, bacon, and avocado. I was also addicted to the home fries. It was crispy on the outside and it was just so incredibly delicious with every bite; I just wanted more and more. The waffle was good, but it wasn't anything to go crazy about. It was still good however and did balance out the savory flavors of my eggs Benedict. Our waiter was also amazing and super friendly. Made other foodie recommendations for us to try and was on top of everything in terms of service. I definitely enjoyed my experience here, as well as the food. And definitely plan on stopping by again for brunch!

They have 3 stores, haven't tried Pasadena yet, frequent Seabrook and Friendswood is what makes it 3 stars. The customer service in Seabrook is 5 stars, food is 3.5 at both and Friendswood location customer service is 2.5. Hard to mess up breakfast but when you're bacon is supposed to be hot and comes out cold or you get almost as much butter in a bowl vs the grits you wanted.

Food is very good and the service is great !!! Love having this restaurant in friendswood!!

The place is adorable! I love the clean white nautical feeling in here. The staff is so friendly! We sat at the bar top to eat and it was lovely. Every time the staff walked by they offered us more coffee and checked on us. The food is delicious! The chicken fried steak had great flavor and the hash browns were so buttery and crisp. The white toast was like a thicker Texas toast but it was a little messy with all the crumbs. We will definitely be back! So good!

Just meh. A bit pricey for what you get. Eggs were over cooked. We could've cooked at home and it would've been better.

A very typical American breakfast restaurant. Food was good, for what it was. My wife had a mushroom and Swiss omelette with hash browns, and I had French toast with bacon and eggs. The bacon was overly crispy to my taste, but everything else was fine.Walls were bare white, and the place was noisy with bad acoustics. Worse yet, there was a kid at the adjacent table playing something noisy on his phone, and neither the parents nor restaurant staff did anything about it. Unacceptable. I'm being generous and not deducting a star for that.We won't return, there are much better restaurants around.

Cozy place with excellent service, a convenient location, and delicious well well-priced food. Will come again!
