Peking House

I was working in Burlington and had no idea of what I wanted for lunch. Thought I'd stop into a sub shop, missed my turn and saw this place. Someone had a great photo of the general tso's tofu so I had to try it. I ordered mine with noodles however. It was crispy and spicy just the way I like it. My only wish was that they offered it in a lunch portion. I took my time and finished it though and didn't feel excessively full. During lunch it's pretty empty in the dining room. They do a lot of door dash and to go orders however.

The lady in charge of the place is so rude. We came in for the lunch menu. We were ready to order a couple of minutes after sitting down. We were the only customers in the place.Walked in about 2:40 and she walked up to us at 2:56.We told her we came in for the lunch menu and we were told she stopped taking orders for the lunch menu 30 min before 3. I believe the menus should be updated.However, what really bothered me was her attitude about it. She was annoyed and made it seem like it was common knowledge. I saw nothing about that in the menu or any signs at the entrance.Since everyone (6 of us) picked from the LUNCH MENU, it took us a second to choose something else. That made her sigh and shake her head. While I was placing my new order, I looked up and caught her rolling her eyes.She finished taking everyone's orders at 2:59.I was checking my watch routinely because I wanted to emphasize the timing of everything that happed.In an empty restaurant she took 16 minutes to take our order (which we were fine with! this is not what I'm upset with at all!)It took her 3 minutes to take 6 people's orders, and she was huffing and puffing, rolling her eyes all the while.Food is pretty good, but I don't know if the ambiance is something I enjoy!

We haven't been there for a long time. We liked them a lot when we moved here 14 years ago. There was a stretch where the cooking became bland and sometime even undercooked. We tried them twice over the last three weeks. We ordered Lo Meir, Sesame Chicken, Chicken with broccoli egg rolls and fried rice. All we cooked well and very tasty. They back on our list.

My wife and I visited Peking house for lunch on Friday. It's a small casual Chinese restaurant off University in Burlington near major shopping. My wife loved her chicken and broccoli. The vegetables were fresh and crisp and the sauce flavorful. I had the Szechuan chicken. Lots of white meat chicken and good fresh vegetables. The sauce was a sweet sauce (similar to what you'd expect to see on sweet and sour chicken) with some pepper flakes added for heat. It was ok, but fell short of my expectations for a Szechuan sauce. Both lunches came with egg rolls. They were crispy and we both enjoyed them. We'll be back. I'd like to try a different entree.

I really like the lo mein and crab rangoons. They are very consistent and you know you're going to get the same flavors as before.

Came here with my mom for the first time and wanted to check out this place. We ordered and got our food which was relatively good! And the food was pretty cheap aswell! first time here wasnt so bad and i recommend!

Horrible food. Either they don't change their grease or they like to overcook everything. 2nd time trying this place and food is still horrible. Never again!!! Food is super dry and chicken was so chewy I couldn't bite into it. My rice smelt burnt not a pleasant taste either. Literal waste of money. Do not recommend.

Supposed to be egg foo young and a poopoo plater all was burned and greasy Couldn't eat

First time with this restaurant. I will never use them again ! We ordered takeout and the food was the worst tasting and dry that I've ever experienced . The Pupu platter was a total waste of money . Threw out half of the meal it was so dry and over cooked. Could not eat the shrimp bread or the ribs or the chicken on a stick. The beef and snow peas was acceptable. Don't order there! Crab Rangoons were marginal

Good use to be good but now it's a hit or miss! Either greasy or dry! The restaurant smells and could use some updating on the ambiance! The staff is rude and just isn't good anymore.
